The best places I have found are places where you have to fly. Ledges that you can’t get from below or from sides. Only way is to fly to attack. But easily defended. With flyers.

PvP is split between smalls, cross, and consoles + unofficial clusters. That’s the only reason PvE servers appear more full at first glance. Plus PvE has alot of bots cloning and selling stuff. There’s definitely more PvP players than PvE.

It's not just on Xbox, Ark is known for its poor optimisation, but they manage to create huge cities. Sure, the cities in Lost Colony are very beautiful, but they are absolutely not optimised. My PC struggles on this map; I would say it's the least optimised one at the moment.

My PC costs over 2,000€ and runs all the other maps between 90 and 120 fps in epic 1440p.
Lost Colony runs between 50 and 60... and in the city it's between 20 and 30.
If I set it to high, it's between 30 and 40.
Only on medium do I reach 60 fps. I have to set it to lowest to play properly at only... 100 fps
when Astraeos I reach 120 fps in Epic...
Lost Colony is excellent in terms of lore, and the map is beautiful, but the optimisation is completely lacking

By the way, who saw the end cutscene of the map? I went to see it, it's excellent

Even putting have no base spots aside, it is a terrible map, with no starter zone, terrible creature spawns (all low levels, tons 100s of feet in the air, above and outside of roof border). Spiders? just spawn wherever, purlovias are everywhere, Otters dont even spawn near water sources but instead on cliff faces. Map feels empty as fuck... no drops coming down from the sky either lol
