There are too many different cosmetic mods on servers. If you don't have disable dynamic downloads turned On then you'll lag like crazy....1. Turn on disable dynamic downloads in advanced settings 2. Click Uninstall all in mods section in store 3. Close game. Last, dl fear mod and your mods.

I really wonder what the hell they did to this wonderful and incredible game, Ark. How could they do so many stupid things at the same time and ruin it so much? What a way to deceive so many loyal players who have played it for years with supposed improvements to the game. Where are all those improvements that should have been made back then? Is there any way to disable mods on official? I am unable to play on GeForce NOW since the mods updated. Usually I could just disable the dynamic download and it would be fine - because GeForce has a 10gb limit for mods and stuff like that, and will automatically close ark as soon as that is reached. So now... using any mod at all will apparently enable dowloading ALL the mods? Even with dynamic download turned off

Its the building skin mods that cause the freezing. If you go into Advanced Settings, and turn on "Disable Cosmetics Dynamic Downloading" it'll stop them from showing and your gameplay will improve massively. My game was constantly freezing and stuttering when loading in peoples bases until I discovered this a few days ago and now it runs smoothly.
