Mood. I have a shoot Sunday with a couple I met recently and was gonna have a shoot Friday but it's a newer rope bean so we're taking it slow and gonna wait on shooting with her until she's good and comfy. Will probably edit on Friday while that tie happens.

Did get a couple okay shots. Mostly I think what I learned was my preference for capturing emotion and also that I need to get more comfortable with finding the shots in public that actually have people's emotion.

I kinda found that asking people for permission to photograph them kinda ruined it a lot of the time haha. Which makes sense. But it felt weird to just take a picture of someone. Maybe something I need to get more comfortable with or I can ask them after if I can publish it or if they'd like me to just keep it for myself.

Also low-key i want a lens with more background pchoom. I think it was called bokey?

I have more than a few friends who are artists, actresses, models, etc.... it would be super solid to be able to take ultra nice portraits of them. Have a friend whose film is screening soon and Idk that my lil r10 can hold up to the other cameras that will be at the screening. 😭

how did you end up getting into photography?

it's a pretty niche idea. I'm comfortable saying I'm likely one of, if not the most experienced practitioner for 24/7 lifestyle D/s dynamics in all of NYC. I'm building a few communities around it in an attempt to make a more established space for it that is separate from the leather dyke and queer sex positive kink spaces that already exist but occupy more transactional or experiential based connection as opposed to intensity of relational connection through somatic power exchange.

That's where photography comes in.

I've always been pretty decent at taking pictures, buuuuuut now I'm taking pictures for my current Dominant who I live with. She's one of the world's foremost rope bondage practitioners and we make art together to advertise our small community.

We are probably gonna throw someone in a latex body suit and mask in a rentable street art exhibit sometime this year in the fall and ill be taking photographing and recording that.

i also do a lot of rope and BDSM photography

depends on the lens. usually need high aperture for the stars, like f16. however, with a new lens i just got, i was able to get a nice sunstar at f8, which was a pleasant surprise.
