• Pen-driven exhibits: Visitors interacting with the digital touchscreens are great environmental portrait fodder. Their faces are lit by the screen — atmospheric.

2. American Wing (Engelhard Court): Sculptures under a glass roof + neoclassical facade of the old US Bank. Skylight gives soft, even light. Strong portrait spot.
3. Astor Court: (Ming-dynasty Chinese scholar's garden) — only Met room lit by an open ceiling. Tranquil, monochrome-friendly. Often overlooked.
4. Arms and Armor Hall: Equestrian knights mid-charge under a vaulted hall. Dramatic compression with the 85mm; wide for the cavalry tableau.
