i am supposed to keep magazine, book, and UI designs minimalist, right?
change
we can talk about design trends when its not 5am
and different design trends and styles fit different clients
so when it's 06:01am?
sure
technically not 5am and not at the border of it so if you think of it as an open set
it still counts
that sounds like a big job
BIG BIG job
BIG job
-# like fucking huge
BIG BIG BIG Lasha!!! I tell you!!!
BIG!
sure is
LIKE SOUPER BIG MAN
I just finished one, well ish, nearly finished
going back and forth
Dude would need to have a professional workflow to even get it done.
Getting student headshot, setting roll calls up, are the most technically demanding part of it.
Image pages, like grid work, or template design is the most boring part.
and the quickest part is copy and pasting word document info for subject pages, thats not including formatting.
alot of it for me is automated, but thats because I know how to, data merging/variable data.
formatting images into data for that to work, without that its lonnnnggg work
this UI design is goin well 😄
nah
dont overwhelm him
he's got this
ya know what they say
blissful ignorance
found this old graphic i used to make for school
good times
2:1 CRT monitor kinda cursed tho

i had school so i couldn't work on it but whoever designed this... how did they even get a job?
by this i mean this image i sent.
huh
How can you not see how cool that is?!?
been a while
lol what is this composition
the lines through the letters feel very random
they are just there for the sake of being there
and the linewight matches nothing
they're at random angles

interesting concept but im not too sure about the execution
just a quick visual hook
blur is kinda aids but i couldnt get multi mode and 2nd curtain sync to work
remember, smashed glass can have different refractive properties, meaning, smashed glass shouldn't just be a blend mode over an image, it should also physically shift the image under it slightly aswell as guide source light points and even incident light across the cracks aswell
I actually did use displace and it did shift parts of the image but with the texture over its hardly noticeable
maybe i shouldve bumped up the sliders a bit
too late now tho i forgot to save the psd file

common mistake with me recently tbh
i keep forgetting
cmon man ctrl and s aint that hard to press 💀
It’s easier on Mac, the shortcut is more natural to press
More reasons why windows is dog shit
😮 even did the spine bend
Design Dojo
things got too graphic. so we removed the "Graphic"
-# twas all of those graphs and maps
i wanted to be inclusive to more forms of design

So I flew all the way out to LA to sit down with Chris Do, and honestly, I learned so much. The man's a legend in the design world, so getting to pick his brain was a bit of a selfish one for me, but I think you're going to get loads out of it too.
We g...
Ooh what’s this? For all things design? Nice
something off
dude
i spent like a good 20 min looking for the channel
not realizing it was renamed
mhm
Oh I like Chris Do. His stuff was pretty influential for an agency I used to work for.
yah he's fun
he's got good business sense
def learned a lot from his vids
i was surprised when i met someone for the first time and they hated him for some reason
Why hate? I think one of the things he pushes is having a philosophy or an opinion about your sphere (whether design or photography or anything really) and sticking to it. People buy into people they trust and can relate to.
I always say my photography is candid, I don't do staged when it comes to family, corporate or wedding photography and some people like that, some people don't. At the end of the day working with clients who buy your philosophy is so much more rewarding
