The Sister of Battle talk from yesterday made me want to draw my homebrew Order of Sisters, the Sisters of the Gallant Cove, but with my current schedule a quick sketch of some of its most relevant characters made before bed will have to do for now.
.
Long story short: They were an all-female order of corsair-knights guarding their isolated sea-world of Kohnak Tah.
An ecclesiarcal expedition found their homeworld, claimed it for themselves and integrated the already existing Ordu Dun Croga into the Adepta Sororitas to call dibs on the secrets of their Age of Technology-old fortress and the treasures within.
Easier said than done, since said fortress, the "Dun Croga" (literally "Brave Fort") that the Order takes its name from is a labirynth of moving walls and refuses to let anyone but the sisters into its inner chambers, forcing the Ecclesiarchy to basically play nice and try to gain the Order's trust.
Since they did not originate from standard imperial Schola Progeniums and have had a long time to develop their own individual culture separated from the Imperium, the Sisters of the Cove are often considered mannerless, even barbaric by stricter imperial organizations, especially when compared to the rest of the Sisterhood.
That being said, the results obtained thanks to their skill in combat and centuries-long experience in naval warfare, now applied to space battles, are undeniable.
.
So yeah they're irish pirate-nuns mostly inspired by Grace O'Malley and other pirate queens, because cool ladies are cool.

Ironically, I realized just yesterday that I could probably make a decent approximation of Mhaol if I put together the Zealot armor most people use for their Sisters of Battle characters and mix it up with the Zealot Rogue Trader outfit. Maybe when I get the chance to buy the latter again I'll try it out, though I'd have to make some space in the character roster.

I would imagine the most other sisters have a pretty low opinion about them, just because they did not originate like a traditional order and don't really try to behave as such.
Their integration into the Sisterhood was very much a hasty political move to try to get their arms and resources into ecclesiarchal hands, and since they were already a militant order of warrior women, that was the quickest way to do it.

Thanks everyone for the opinions. I thought it fit really well too, but a lot of what I do with her character is just projection. I really wanted to push her towards something that wasn't just cannibalism and was more appropriate to how disturbing the nobles actually are. Rodin acts like he isn't interested in her activities, but he will be there for sure later. Especially if he gets to throw stones. :3 I like them being mean to eachother but they still love and care for the other, like most siblings (especially in the same age range) in real life can be.
