I have just been slacking in drawing them in their canon cosmetics which is just the black coat. but I can do whatever I want. and when OGRYNS are around Faus is nice to them because I would kill him otherwise. he's the judge archetype but obviously like even though kenna is the seer archetype I don't characterize them as exactly that.

Alright, we're just past halloween, so it does feel fitting for me to finally get back to my command squad's AU chaos versions (After Chaos A.U. Schrodinger here #darktide-fan-art message), finally got a bit of time to finish this up.
This time you get Chaos A.U. Tome!

It never meant anything at all. All the bloodletting, the lashings, the prayers, the burning, the neverending search for martyrdom... and after all this his oh-so-pious comrade Preach had the gall to just... change his mind?
Nothing meant anything. Not his stolen childhood, the bullying, the war that gutted planet after planet, nothing made by petty people and their petty whims.
But that? It had been long, long ago.
Now "Tome" is a memory long left behind.
It's just Thomas and the garden now. No one else, no causes, no obsessions. Just beautiful, regrowing nature. He'd never heard birds singing when he was with the Mastiffs.
And when he realized ash and compost made for a great fertilizer he felt it all come together, like the gears of a clock. Grandfather had gifted him with plenty of fuel, after all. The one thing that still irked him, admittedly, was actually getting the fertilizer... the noisy thing would not stop screaming for the longest time.
Still, one can't always just be peaceful, can they? Every now and then, everyone will get their turn in feeding the garden and fixing the mess they made. Preach did, the commissar did, and many others... so goes life.

Had unfortunately few chances to play World of Darkness ttrpgs, and the ones I had were not always the best (Hoping to pick up Vampire and Hunter as GM, and Rob was interested in GMing werewolf eventually), BUT I had a werewolf character I remade into another few games that'd probably make for a good few interactions with Gunnar. Just jolly old grandpa Vinter, whose family had abandoned the Get of Fenris before they went too over the edge (That clan icon should've probably been a red flag for that ). Then tragic backstory happened. Can't post art here since it's not darktide, but I'll pop it on bluesky, since I'm in a bit of a WoD mood now.

I usually just run VtM20e as my preference, but I like the flavour of WtA to sprinkle in sometimes very sparingly of course. My current chronicle is a made up city in Germany, a one on one game, my player woke up from an ages long torpor and he is on a quest for revenge.
I have a couple drawings of VtM au for Darktide but Ím not ready to share them yet. Runt and Rinda as Lasombra (which is where most of my inspiration for Runt's personal warp use comes from.)
I dont even blame you (or moreso Vinter's family.) Get has a **horrible **rep unfortunately, but it's also in the text about how ... well, awful the Get are. :'D
I'm not surprised they made them unplayble in W5 from what I heard about it. If Vinter can withstand Gunnarr's wyrm taint (which he is ashamed of) I could see them having some interesting interactions, they share a lot of similarities.

Yeah the Get are no longer playable, basically they've become the opposite extreme of the Black Spiral Dancers, becoming purist extremists to the point where if you're not with them you're against them, with the most moderate of them basically just leaving for other tribes or doing their own thing. It really is, though white wolf has always been very borderline in their writing, and the get of fenris like some others weren't always written in a particularly clever way, God knows some of the real world interactions they wrote were baffling. Can't blame the latest versions for just letting them be the other dangerous extreme, and at the very least the fact tribes aren't entirely bound by blood anymore means a Get of Fenris can have simply walked off into another family. It's a bit of a complicated matter, so I won't be dragging it too much. Still, it is a shame, kinda wish they at least had rules for the loners going their own way.

I agree with you. WoD in general has a lot of issues in its edge. In their current state they made the right call of making them antagonists and they should be unplayable, I wouldn't want that kind of character at my table. I have a lot of issues IRL so naturally I gravitate to Nurgle the most. For me it's the downward spiral of someone's mental health and their fears, facing the mortality of life, and giving in to the allure of his embrace... and then starting that cycle again to spread his truth as you get worse and worse with his ""gifts"" in your new "life". He can be everywhere in countless forms and I find a lot of it to be kind of tragic for his followers to find so called acceptance in him to end their suffering, in whichever way that might *personally *mean to them. If you've ever seen *Jacob's Ladder (1990) * or played Silent Hill 2 (the original. sorry.) that's what I personally think is a really great representation of Nurgle that isn't exclusively about his plagues and diseases.. Which I absolutely love too, don't get me wrong. Rot and decay are some of my favourite themes. I feel kind of cringe typing this sorry but I just love Nurgle and I think he such a great embodiment of terror and despair.

hey i can read long things and I agree I do like his themes but what I like most to him are his looks which is like complete opposite of you now that I think about it

these guys are marching rotting, impervious to just about everything but the most painful thing they can take, you lay your eyes upon their worshippers so sickly and broken yet so full of life and joy, happy with their purpose, covered in pus rotting organs and skin literally eating itself alive, the prospect of watching this as like a soldier is a horrifying idea, no matter how much you put into them they just don't go down and it looks like the more you hurt them the more they keep moving forward, that's what i like about them, they turned their broken bodies and supposed weakness into their very strength

I do love how cheerful some daemons of Nurgle tend to be. Everything about him is wretched, as it is either life rotting away, or all life refusing to die in the worst way possible, or a funny mix of the two. Yet they have such horrible grins of their face, since to follow Nurgle is to understand on a fundamental level what death is and coming to accept it.
Nothing ever changes anyway, nothing ever matters, this has all happened before and it will happen again, revel in it.
It's a pretty fascinating form of damnation.

Keeping up with my chaos A.U. version of kill-team Schrodinger, I got to Spook, in this version finally accepting Syllax's deal. Kind of easier to imagine when you're already writing about it.

She’d just look and see a weak, quiet thing, and hear their heartbeat by ear alone, and hear it stop. Life had become so preciously simple.
Her powers weren’t permanently gone, she did know that: Syllax could only numb them as long as his presence remained upon her, granting the demon the perfect means of keeping her loyal. It was still a price Spook was perfectly fine with paying. Precious quiet was hers, at last.

haha so the idea for the story is they want to try out a new type of psycher that harnesses some of the Emperors power. Saya is the first to be able to harber it and uses herself as a conductor to spread it. The faction considers it like a walking nuke so they are sending her on her first mission along with some skilled indeviduals one of which is Diego. because of this power she holds she usually doesn't need to fight because she basically has the ult from zealots on constantly so every entity usually bows. the only ones needing to worry about is the ranged targets.
