Paul Dainton and Jaime Martínez are definitely up there, both of them have done quite a bit.

V-tuber culture as a business takes a lot from idol culture which itself directly uses parasocial relationships in order to market to consumers by having them become invested in the personal lives of the idols. And vtubers as an industry not necessarily as individuals reflect this business model. And just like idol industry there isn't any clear regulations about the ethics of the practice of essentially fostering emotional dependence from fans. Which is kinda messed up. I think anyway.

I wouldn't call it a consequence, it's simply a side effect of putting yourself out there and if you get attention, you get it. Some people seek it and others don't but if you weren't, well you wouldn't constantly be putting stuff out there for people to consume en masse.

Though intentions vary among them all.

I don't think Vtubers and influencers are much different in my opinion, they're both made to gain attention and share whatever they're doing with people and just because they target a certain audience doesn't mean it's focused on taking advantage of them but more of the content itself displays that.

There are some people who literally just like to share things they found interest in or their talents with others.

Personally I find influencers to be more on the exploitive side, as they eventually focus on getting literal products that rival already stable businesses by using their fame, like that prime water junk even though i doubt it has any benefits over things sold before it regardless of what they say. Its not majority Nurgle, the Moebian corp, as the story states, was corrupted by Nurgle and they have spread it to Tertium. They are Nurgle worshippers - there isn't room for anything else.

T'au would be a really bad pick on a story level and I think gameplay-wise they wouldn't be very interesting nor different from what we're already fighting.

Genestealer cults on the other hand, would integrate seamlessly into Darktide's story and could offer a different CQC experience, ranged would probably be about the same, however.

Theoretically it could take us to other places of conflict, at least those of us that have reached Level 30 and therefore ||have been granted the right to join a proper Strike Team||. As for Tertium itself, I would be surprised if there wasn't already one or several Patriarchs there

I'm not of the opinion that the author dictates whether or not something is or is not a stupid story decision.
Now, if it turns out the Moebian domain is on the fringes of T'au space and the T'au invades - eh, sure. I still think they'd make a bad enemy to fight considering how the T'au typically fight in lore, so we'd get an enemy that belongs more in a slower/tacitcal shooter being shoved into a horde shooter, meaning they'd likely have an absurd number of Kroot to Fire Warrior/Gue'va ratio.

Point is, there are much better Xeno picks than T'au for this game.

For example, a daemon of his/hers pretending to be an imperial saint and seducing part of local echlisiarchy into forming a cult, using Imperium's own people against Inquisition. So for a horde - flagellants of the cult, fooled into believing they are protecting the truth while in fact being nothing but a meatshield for a daemon.
