So I read the carcharodon books backwards and I just finished Red Tithe - I don't think I enjoy this depiction of Chaos but I also don't know how you'd portray Chaos any differently

You've got like, veterans Night Lords of the HH being ordered around by some random NL who was born only a couple hundred years ago or something purely because, apparently, he's just straight up better than them at melee combat and he'd murder them if they tried him

Its always odd to me that chaos marines are, in lore, these veterans of a massive war with tactical knowledge and expertise beyond anything of the Imperium but in representation are always these insanely arrogant and shortsighted murder hobos.
