DOGE moment
I mean its just AI or some guys from Israel now
Another thing I just kinda realized: it has the energy of a corny Valentines card, which is to say its really cringe and would be kinda silly save for the fact that these are probably legit threats on the people emailed
If I had such an email, I'd just bin it cause it look like a scam
Same
It’s sent primarily to people who are registered Republicans or voted for him lol
Oh so he's gonna kill his own fanbase I see
Not that it'll matter, assuming things go his way
Funnily enough. If you live in a deep blue state it’s arguably better to be a registered Republican
Because you can vote for the least awful Republican candidate for state level stuff
he already did it before with COVID, why not again?
True!
This looks like a fucking spam email
I would unironically ignore it because I would think it's just
"I AM A NIGERIAN PRINCE"
...
THIS IS THE SECOND FUCKING TIME IN ONE YEAR
How many more years of this circus do we have left? I can’t remember anymore.
Sigvald the Magnificent from Warhammer Fantasy, or Fulgrim from Warhammer 40,000, who is worse?
Just overall. As a person. Who is worse?
It depends
Which era
Pre fall, post fall
Fulgrim doesn't seem like he's done a whole lot in post-ascension / Heresy
He shanked Guilliman and then ???
I don't know much about WoF + AoS.
But I know that Fulgrim didn't really do much post fall all things considered.
He killed Ferris, his troops turned people into drugs, he appeared to get virus bombed, and he shanked Gulliman. He's generally just been partying/depression napping on his planet.
Fair enough
From his court, Sigvald amassed vast treasures that would catch his eye, gathering them in his palace and then letting them rot as his attention wandered elsewhere.[4b] He also set out to capture beautiful maidens to take as his wives, burning down cities in their pursuit, only to lose interest once he had taken the object of his desire into his palace.[4c] If they began to show signs of age, he removed their skin and encased them in porcelain to preserve their beauty forever.[4i] All the while, he neglected his forces, with only a thousand warriors remaining in his service.[4e]
already thinking he's worse than Fulgrim lmao
Is there lore talking about how holy terra even still has a population of humans on the surface of the planet? Dark age of technology bullshit maybe? I know the emperor (for all his myriad evils) did actually love the earth and tried to restore it to how it was when he was born, but since his death the planet has been devoured by industry and all the water has been siphoned off world, so like
How is anyone even still alive
Honestly this sounds like what Fulgrim should be
Wouldnt that cause venusian type conditions planetside
He's the Daemon Prince of Slaanesh. He should do more of this type of degen shit
Flaying people and encasing them in Porcelain is peak tbf
I know the actual answer is "its just sci fi and having terra as the capital of the imperium is narratively significant" but this feels like something they wouldve come up with a handwavy explanation for
The final trial was for Sigvald to present his naked soul to Slaanesh, by stepping into the Realm of Chaos itself through the Lucid Gate.[4m] Against the warnings of Oddrún, Sigvald attempted the ritual to open the gate, which ended with his body being consumed by flames.[4n] In the Realm of Chaos, Sigvald's soul relived the events that had led him to embrace Slaanesh and was then confronted by the Chaos God himself, who appeared in the most beautiful form Sigvald could fathom -- his own.[4o]
The same reason Catachan somehow got a human population.
Built different mostly.
Although, to be specific, there were still technologies remaining that could help support the remaining people. I doubt the infrastructure could've lasted long enough for whatever the population was pre-Strife.
Most likely, a mixture of technology... and a sudden decrease of those that it needed to support
Now THIS is a proper slaaneshi champion
While I do think Sigvald is kind of a jobber, this part is cool
Apparently it also wasn't bad until late into the age of strife
I believe that's when warp travel became impossible basically
Since in 40k humans do breed like rabbits (which tbh is not the most realistic thing, but thats not relevant right now) it wouldnt surprise me if literally just 80% of people die before they turn 25 but they repopulate so fast that they can just "take it"
Plus maybe humans have just kind of evolved incrementally to sightly better survive conditions on terra
Apparently pre unification it still had areas of life
It's just that siege of Terra + 10,000 years later. It became a fully lifeless planet
Likely it's just that the population was generally much lower after a bit of time
Every one person that dies, another 20 can live slightly longer
Tbh this is part of why I really dont like the lore that tries to make the daot humans "evil", like i was under the impression the whole point of 40k was that humans were CAPABLE of being better but specifically rejected reason cooperation and compassion when the age of strife ended
I believe that DAoT humanity had evil. But it wasn't as evil as the Imperium
Like, if humans are always evil and monsterous by 40k's reading, then the imperium's cruelty is about as impactful as like. Watching ants eat each other
I find it hard to think the dark age humans weren't evil if they invented something like the Butcher's Nails in enough number for Nuceria to have a stockpile
Holy Terra is also a massive site of pilgrimages. There's a constant influx of people and supplies
I always interpreted it as there were individually bad people and Occasionnel strife but that "good" tended to win
Like star trek
Yeah I think it's something that was considered benign.
Like "yeah this weird galaxy shoves nails into people. There's a travel advisory."
This is fair but its totally possible it couldve been an age of strife retrofitting for war if that makes sense
It's like how shouting that you're Gay in Iran would probably get you executed
Just don't go there
Some of the DAoT weaponry the Dark Angels have stashed away too
We don't know the politics of the DAoT in general.
Maybe they were just hormone regulators that aos warlords used to make angry berserkers
Sure they had massively cruel and damaging WMD.
...but we also have that. On a lesser scale obviously but still.
Phospex being considered bad shit even by the standards of the Great Crusade era Imperium, uh what else
It's likely that humanity wasn't a fully unified empire even in the DAoT times
Its just like
I can imagine DAoT having several empires. Each with their own different moralities and "Don't use this weapon"
What is worse; to be capable of good and choosing evil, or to be destined to be evil forever
Sure the Butchers Nails exist. But it's likely that it was the invention of a cruel bastard.
Since logically
Why would you use them?
DAoT humanity used something similar to Terminator Armor as reactor workplace protection
Coordinating troops would generally be considered harder with them
On a pragmatic standpoint they're useless. It's why people generally didn't like the World Eaters. Not only due to their cruelty. But because you can't exactly tell them to
"Stop attacking, we need the factories"
There's a fair amount of technologies from that period whose original purposes are most likely misunderstood by modern inhabitants of the setting
And theres the fan theory/headcanon that leman russes are jury rigged tractors
When you have weapons that can literally shoot out black holes. I doubt nailing people's heads in to become angry all the time would be useful.
At most, it would be like how Nuceria used them, for entertainment
Imperial Knights were also used for logging and construction, I think. I'll have to go look that up; it could be incorrect nonsense I'm repeating
And likely considering how Nuceria is the only notable planet that uses them
It's likely they weren't too wide spread
Maybe used by a cruel empire state that wanted to make an example out of criminals
But this is all speculation.
I think so but alao i think they were for protection against dangerous fsuna
I generally think bolters were that as well
Also considering that the Votann use em
Like
I can imagine Lasguns are used for hunting and general use
It would make sense for this though because yk, they use chainsaws
Its ironically understated how incredibly overkill bolters are for anti personnel work ngl
Its like shooting a javelin missile at a coughing baby
Basically
I imagine Lasguns were the equivalent of a rifle or pistol for self defense.
Overkill might have been necessary considering how dangerous the galaxy is, especially prior to the Great Crusade, and even in present-day
Something a civilian carries around
If its necessary its not overkill
Killing large alien fauna instantly is a totally valid use of bolters
Bolters were likely used against things that are dangerous to your colony.
Like Elite wolf said, anti-ork. And the DAoT humans would've likely had them as problems as well.
Especially tough Fauna like those in Catachan would also require bolter fire
Oh, definitely agreed. (Man, I cannot wait for when I can properly react to posts, haha)
I like the reading that the imperium's weaponry is mostly jury rigging daot tools for war because it shows thst the imperium isnt necessary
Since there is a variety of planets in the 40k verse.
Who all conveniently have only one single biome. Cough
Phosphex is def a weapon of war lol that shit is designed to kill people horrifically
Thats just standard sci fi poor worldbuilding
That’s ironically less prevalent in 40k
the imperium isn't necessary
But the Forges of Mars are eternal
There’s very few mono biome planets
Which i dont blame 40k for thats many many sci fis
If you bring up Tallaran it was literally nuked to shit
Repeatedly
And it still has biomes
Lol
Ttue
Arrakis is the biggest example (even if it has a valid 'excuse')
Munda had planetary biomes
Tbf it makes sense primarily because you don't really want to detail a random planet's biome that you're gonna spend like two minutes in
Before it had an extinction level event and humanity colonized it
The planets with singular biomes in 40K also tend to be the result of deliberate terraforming -- Aeldari Crone Worlds or Imperial Agriworlds, for example -- or due to massive destruction of their native ecosystems.
Necromunda used to be mostly ocean funnily enough
Idk maybe im naive but ive always thought its more grimdark to imaginr that the daot was pretty chill but humanity collectively said "yk what? Lets be douchebags now"
But yeah, there's also the narrative ease of being able to say, "I'm from a frozen ball of a shrine world" haha
Agri planets are literally just
"So y'know how Terra has Nebraska. How it's mostly corn?"
"Yeah"
"...okay make the planet Nebraska"
"got it"
I love agri worlds theyre so dumb
Literally just fucking corn everywhere, no high technology, no horizontal farming or aeroponics
Well, that depends
Literally just servitors doing what medieval peasants did
Some are higher tech
And some have horizontal farming
They’re still shit though lol
"Spectoris, called the "Complete Ocean," is an ocean-covered Agri-world in the Calixis Sector of the Segmentum Obscurus that is the subject of many legends. Some say there are sapient xenos forms of vast size inhabiting the unexplored watery depths of the world. Others claim that the world-ocean itself is sentient." - Dark Heresy Core Rulebook
Have space whales ever eaten agri worlds
Thats so cool
I love it when smart xenos hide amongst ignorant humans
There’s the original inhabitants of munda still
In Munda
They’re deep underground in old remnants of the ocean lol
Necromunda is such a cool setting
Necromunda is so cool
Apparently I can't post the agri-world description mentioned by Laati. Oh well
So underrated
Necromunda is why I always thought the backlash against hive scummies was dumby
Is it Necromunda that has the expired and formented corpse starch as a drug people use to get high?
"Oh its just a crackhead with a gun"
Yesh and space marines are just dudes with extra organs
Meth heads with guns are scary
Have you seen Escher
Steroid heads with guns are also scary
Have you seen Goliath
Space marines LITERALLY recruit from hive gangers
Akshually GW updated lore. Most Agri Worlds are factory farming hellscapes.
Unless Feudal World Agri World.
They are HARDCORE to the 40k extreme
Oh okay cool
Named my Hive Scum after an Escher matron, haha, so yes

hey I've heard Peter Pringle sing this
Read Bookkeepers Skull
They can’t afford servitors 😂😂
No
They do have a special fungus called ‘Ghast’ that grows from corpses that gives you temporary psychic powers though
It would likely make them more psychic
Ahh, okay.
Either that or they’d have an unfortunate reaction to it lol
Turn it into something like Psycho from Fallout, liquify it and stuff it in a giant comical syringe and give it to a Psyker.
Literally done already
lol
Is that an official Necromunda model or is that a genestealer?
That’s an official necromunda model for a Delaque Psyker yeah
He looks like he's in agony.
He is, he’s also incredibly high and getting regularly dosed with Ghast
Delaque are a bunch of fish worshiping weirdos
That's just what 40k dolphins will do to ya
They’re a necromunda clan house that specializes in the trade of knowledge/secrets and clandestine assasinations.
The gangers are all very low ranking members of this clan house. They also have a weird sorta hivemind due to making psychic communication with the native inhabitants of necromunda deep below the surface in the underwater oceans
These dolphin whale squid creatures have some level of influence over Delaque and they’re allied to each other
Oh dear.
Delaque’s hivemind isn’t a true hivemind
But they can communicate across the planet with some effort
Without vox
They gotta go through the whales
They refer to them as “the silent ones”
And “the silent ones” slumber deep beneath the surface of munda
Some other people know about them
But they just think they’re delaques very very upper echelon
And not giant psychic space whale squid dolphin creatures
I really love the take of like
"Yeah they just worship ancient cthulu aliens"
no chaos or gsc involved
for once a fucking original take
lol
Also I messed up
There’s 2 layers of psychic Cthulhu aliens
There’s the ones they worship and the ones that help with the hivemind
And are comically loyal to the Imperium and House Helmawr
God I love Necromunda so much its unreal
Yeah which is what makes them even more interesting imo
beacuse now you know literally everything they do is completely for their own ends
and it isnt like "nah they are very loyal bro trust me"
lol
tbh Nomads themselves are all sorts of spooky
Delaque tried to scout out the Ash Waste Nomads and the one (1) surviving Agent got dropped off a town in a sack stuffed with the eyepieces of all the other agents
I love how the Delaque book presents itself as like "OOOOoOO NOBODY knows what the delaque are about! They might just be worshipping secret alien gods!"
Literally every mini-release and lore they get points to this being true
While the Ash Nomads codex does a way better job actually revealing a lot but also nothing about the Nomads as the lore in the rulebook is built over the contradicting account of like 3 people
The Nomads rulebook is genuinely one of my favorite bits of writing in the whole setting because its pretty much a real textbook where a scholar is trying to sift through EVERYTHING. Calling out some stories as total BS, being generally confused at how they have so little info, dealing with every other road crew having a story that contradicts each other. Peak
YEP its why i really like it
its like the only 40k material ive ever read which is actively purposefully mysterious and confusing as well as misleading which is great
NOOO
a lot of lore claims to be like this but is literally nothing like it lol
Its exactly like some real textbooks I've read before where the opening is just some scholar going "Alright. Whats going on?" with slight contempt for his or her chosen field of research
The one story of the woman that breaks out of her cage and runs while they just watch and let her go is actually creepy
It was that + the one where they "allow" one of the outsiders to party with them that got me.
It does a good job of showing the supposed diversity of their culture to a degree yet also you knowing nothing about them
Assuming, of course, he isnt full of it. But given that even the Imperials have 0 clue how many to even estimate are out there, who knows. Maybe some just be chill like that
I like that he cant even get a clear answer on if you can drink bug milk
I do love that the Nomads aren't a monolithic culture or society
they're many tribes
Shout out to 80s punk as dystopian sci-fi violent criminal, gotta be one of my favorite aesthetic choices
Shoutout to the Palanite enforcers looking better equipped than the Guard
Necromundans
LMAO
Do you think they know how to operate my patented "Necromundan Crushing Machine©®™," hmm?
they 100% took that inspo from IRL historians
Who needs body armor when you got drugs, checkmate guardsmen
people did this shit constantly
Thats their chief export and a cherished cultural institution
Vetris was a very lonely man/hj
The Targaryens canonically commissioned Dragon hentai for at least one son that wouldnt bang
So lonely all he had was his own parchment and quill
So he worked
Obviously for scientific reasons
Very well then.
oh my god lol
Does Necromunda have any good music?
Yeah just put on punk rock from the 90s and that’s munda
lol
Does Necromunda have gabagool?
Prolly
What doesn't Necromunda have?
Genestealers.
And the guard
Vandoth.
The Deserter and House Greim.
Yeah also
I don’t count the deserter
The genestealers of Necromunda are so amazing that not even a Hive Fleet wants something to do with them lol
He’s a deserter smh
WE GOT IT ALL BABY
That’s just the Malstrain weirdos
There’s normal genestealers as well lol
Is Necromunda one of those places where the people living there say it sucks but if you insult it you'll get shanked and disposed of in a trash bag in the sewer?
I'll admit I know very little of Necromunda
I'm glad they have proper ones at least
Necromundans talk trash on Necromunda and then you agree and they get insulted
I'd only ever heard of the malstrain genestealers
Yes
Alright then.
Necromunda kind of has everything
Its genuinely the best lore
Is Necromunda one city?
Ffs it’s got several imperial fists on it as well
NO
But there’s a bunch of other ones
Necromunda has thousands of hives, in various states
So it’s a planet
Yes
Ok ok
As a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus, will I get decent coin going there to assist in cybernetic enhancement of the gangers?
The mechanicus keeps to the upper hive/overseeing manufacturing
They do not get involved with clan politics
Aside from hereteks and Mechanicus members who are uh
But as a hypothetical.
Yes
rogue mechanicus personnel exist
Cybernetics are stupid common on Munda, and stupid cheap
Having a tech priest around is nice
Hereteks are in high demand
Because they’re like a tech priest
But ask less questions
lol
I'm gonna pack my bags and go to Necromunda! Time to get my dubloons!
I've heard! I've watched Arbitor Ian's videos on it, though the books are fairly low on my TBR list. I'm unfortunately not into the tabletop game, and I know that's where a lot of the lore and content are based, so it's harder to get into for me :c
But I've always liked what I've heard about!
just don't be too nosy
Fwiw, Van Saar are very knowledgeable on tech even without the religious dogma
Ian's vid BARELY covers the surface
theres like so many rulebooks from modern munda that tell lore
It is okay to ask where did you get the gun from
it is not okay to ask to be taken to it
lol
Alright then.
Oh, I know, haha
Necromunda is also THE most lore'd planet in the entire 40k setting.
It has so much information
that is how the enforcers find your mangled corpse hanging from some part of a manufactorum
How good is the Imperial Agents army?
bad
Imperial Agents are non functional
in desperate need of reworked?
Yes
I'd say that most of the rulebooks, especially the gang expansions, are like 50/50 lore/rules anyway
Cause the idea of playing an army based on Grendyl’s warband sounds really fun
Aside from Earth (real place)
(Buy a Munda gang)
yeah but earth is boring
Fair
you'll never guess where u at rn
I hear about Mars and Earth
but yeah this is a Heretek, they're the only mechanicus hanger on available on the tabletop
What about the other planets in the solar system
What happened to Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and Uranus?
the hereteks just the only one available on the tabletop for uh, reasons
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Sol_System
All the info you'll get, there isnt much
Would it be acceptable to pack this Heretek up and put him in a box directly into the system's sun?
Remmeber, he's a Heretek, not a chaos cultist
smh
Don't ask him to shove a daemon into a gun
he probably doesn't know what a Daemon is
He's probably gonna mess with AI.
Much to my chagrin. I'm this close to buying a rulebook because I need to understand how an iconic Puritan is suddenly a Radical.
Damn
jokes aside the Necromunda heretek(the mini)
Cold Trade my beloved
Even if its lowkey a shit alliance
the grafted on servitor backpack with a grav gun
Basically how all Puritans go Radical
is honestly my favorite part of the mini lol
"Ill use the enemy's tech but ONLY for good causes"
Eisenhorn is a total fucking idiot
which puritan went radical
lol
"Coteaz"
He should go weld necrodermis onto himself, it'd be funny.
mfer who the fuck do you think
I want a comedy mini story of humans on a planet that was recently the host of an awakening tomb world and the Overlord just views humans as an addition to his subjects.
I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, and I know the short story where they technically set it up, but I just need more content
Is it bad to say radical Inqusitors are more interesting than puritan Inqusitors?
Not really, in most cases they actually are.
Also, it's Greyfax lol
oh
I'm one of those people
never apologize for saying something that's true
do you guys think the back servitor can talk
or do you guys think it just screams
and shoots
POV: they buffed Victor in DbD
Why do you think every good Inquisition story involves radicals lol
Puritans are boring af
they are like
good for dark comedy
and thats kind of it lol
Do you think he handles ass itches or the original arms
He's like the AIs from Halo. He gives commentary.
The servitor does it when he has his claws on
Speaking of things, I always thought about a scene in a theoretical Inqusitor focused show that involves the Inqusitor and a group heading to a dingy backwater club and massacring everyone for suspected heresy. The sound muted out by the music
For me, she was interesting as a Puritan because she tended to rub against everything, so her transition to a Radical should have gotten a bit more than what happened in Eye of Night
(I can go into spoilers in the book chat, if that's appropriate)
I like to imagine the heretek throws bottles at the gang he’s working for
You can say spoilers here
most people dont care lol
I've been in communities that take spoilers (even of older content) pretty seriously, so I didn't want to be rude ^-^"
suspiciously german usage of emoji
Mods

Yeah we dont give a shit dont worry lol
Cawdor fella in Fire Made Flesh is a banging lad, it's really funny how he talks to crowds
getting upset over old af book spoilers is very dumb
Would you kiss a Cawdor girl even if she smelt a lot
If she's the type to make me worse why not ig
Unwashed ass the gang
Really with the Necromunda gangs its your own personal tolerance for the amount and type of greasy
Do you think the Left 4 Dead horde theme plays constantly in Necromunda due to the sheer chaos?
So, Eye of Night has a slight focus on Greyfax needing to adopt a more Radical mindset and working with Moriana and a long-dead Radical Inquisitor to find the titular artifact.
Nightsider. CONSTANTLY
YES!
I prefer industrial soot and grease smh
While it's been a little bit since I last listened, I remember Greyfax wasn't happy about any of it. For me, it just comes across as a very sudden, dramatic change after exactly one instance. I'm sure it's implied she's done other Radical-leaning things elsewhere off-screen, but it's kind of frustrating since she was a pretty iconic Puritan.
The Lexicanum citation of the Codex: Imperial Agents (10th Edition) that confirms the change says...
Later, having learned of the many and varied threats to the Imperium, she adopted the Radical mindset. In the "new" galaxy, all means are good - as long as they serve the good of Humanity itself.
I'm very tempted to get a copy just so I can see lol
I play orlock lol
Surprising amount of overlap in the greases you get in industrial hellholes
lol
machine grease is so annoying
I’ve been doing nomads for my current campaign
Being getting real Nyarlothotep with it
Nyaruko: Crawling with Love
It's about Nyarlothotep taking human form and falling in love with a guy on Earth
w*men are eldritch
i have respect for my lesbian allies however i feel like lesbian art is made for totally different species sometimes
did fantasy go through ages like eras?
No this is age of sigmar
Oh
Sorry got confused
Didn’t recognize you jay
Yeah AoS go through ages
Something great epochs
Age of myth, age of sigmar, age of the beast, etc etc
Age of death I think is the necroquakes
Age of chaos
was it like uh those tolkien ages
Idk I never read LOTR
or is it like those roman mythological ages
Each apocalypse is an age basically
where there were more myth creatures before
Age of myth was the pre apocalypse
Age of chaos was the chaos apocalypse
Age of sigmar is the hopium
Age of beast is the destruction apocalypse
were gods and shit around during the age of myth
Yeah
oh wait that was the old ones right
No
AOS’ age of myth was sigmar, draco, then he went and found nagash, Arielle, teclis, gorkamorka, the frogs,
Uhhh
Who am I missing
Oh grungi
The fyreslayer gods
I forgot thier name
Fallout spoiler, but could the sisters of battle have something like this?
Grimnir did something or another
Then they settled cities like hallow heart and vindicarum before the age of chaos
That killed like
Everyone
You mean
The last 10% of people escaped to azyr
that's literally ripped straight from 40k models holy shit
I forgot that existed, ngl.
aggressors and some HH terminators
Ong this is literally a fallout 4 mod lmao
Is it?
Huh. Is it weird I feel like missile backpacks should be something Orgyn or servitors also carry?
Some Servitors have them
i'm going to bitch just for one second about how dumb it is that the show took the coolest non power armour in the entire series and made it powered. it's like taking a fillet mignon and dunking it in caviar; you can't improve on perfection just by adding what's generally popular
oh my god
SHUT UP
"wah wah wah my sex armor"
fucking stupid nerd
you shut up it's my only message about it
Maybe they'll add it in the fallout new vegas remake.
They need to make the power armor obviously NCR because they know that the Redditor legion only knows shit from fallout nv
/j
dear lord i hope not
They're remaking 3 based on stuff I've seen.
we dont have any solid proof yet afaik
That was a rumor made up by an obsidian employee
we literally have more proof of half life 3 being soon than a fallout remake
There is some ex obsidian employee who keeps making up shit about Bethesda and the fallout series
And I have no clue why he does it
Fallout 3 and NV’s evidence for a remake is very little
Aside from the trailers being removed for fallout 3 and NV
I wonder if GW will remake the original DoW games.
Isn’t it because the music licenses expired?
tbh i get the idea though. it makes no sense why bethesda keeps remaking elder scrolls but not fallout
That’s what happened to 4’s
That might be why actually
imagine they remake fallout 1 in first person
would be more of a whole new game than a remake
Insane there is still copy rights out on fuckinh 50 year old songs
70 year old

didnt they sorta remake fallout 4 recently
Blame Disney. They wanted to keep Mickey Mouse for longer.
but like all they did was a few cosmetic changes

They did a big update and basically added another dlc lmao
And they made the official paid mods not implemented like dog shit
Pretty sure one of the big classic Fallout Russian modders is working on this
Fallout Senora and Nevada guy, I think?
What does Bethesda call their workshop?
ye i heard of this project
CREATION CLUB
just weird to me that they want people playing 4 even though the show is about NV and they just wont remaster it
Yeah it was a dlcification of the creation club, fixed bugs, better implementations
maybe there's some weird licensing issues with obsidian
or remaking NV is too much effort
It’s, the newest and most accessible fallout game-
It’s already there
And they added a tv show themed update to fallout 76
Bethesda is probably just going to drop the Fallout 3 and NV remaster out of nowhere like they did the Oblivion one
it's just not related to the show at all, and it's pretty obvious that the remastering was because of the show's success
i meant the fallout 4 update or whatever
if it's a remaster
Fallout 3 was literally leaked with the oblivion one
And that was real lol so it's the one that is the closest to being real
The update released because it was literally the anniversary of fallout 4 jay
It’s the anniversary update
Also they just removed a bunch of trailers for fo3 and stuff from steam which they did for oblivion
so? to me it only could come about because there's a resurgence of fallout interest after season 1

idk if people realize that fallout was kind of a dying franchise before the show
I'll probably play a Fallout 3 remaster just for Wasteland Survival Guide again lmao
Hey like how it was dying before fallout 3
Tbf, before the show, it was just fallout 76.
Fallout 4 got the new gen update too btw
Don’t forgor
But it’s like
Done
They are done games
It’s not dead game
Fallout 76 gets updates because it’s a live service game
and fallout 76 was treated as a side project handed off to another team not the main bethesda one. if the series was still considered a flagship it would have been done in house
I don't think we'll get a nv remaster anytime soon but the 3 one is still the realest one we have any evidence for
Welp time to play terraria
i think fallout 76 will go down in history as another non main fallout game tbh
unless fallout 5 turns out to be some mmo coop garbage or whatever
I FORGOT
THE FALLOUT 76 UDPARE RLEASES TODAY
LMAOOO
the offical ame of the power armor isssss
ranger power armor
That NCR power armor is so gas I love it
tv shows just selling game skins like how kids shows used to be made to sell toys
it goes full circle
the franchise was losing interest because bethesda just fumbled their releases
NCR PA??
Lmao
again, the show pretty much revived the entire setting
Silver or iron for Lanius would’ve been better
Bethesda having to sell themselves to Microsoft to stay solvent and release Starfield just for it to be distilled mid
we'll have to see what bethesda will do with the newfound interest
76 has been doing good, I’m glad more people get to play 76 tho!
All the fallout games are good except BoS
I think Bronze would have been a better fit.
I think most people who are hating the NCR power armor are weird with their battles, like of course of the nation with a real industrial base is gonna figure out how to modify a suit of power armor
im genuinely surprised they still update fallout shelter occasionally
the original app
I hope this brings an expansion to the burning springs main story questline. I've avoided it after completing the first couple of missions because there wasn't a way to kill the rust king
not the newer chinese one
The frame seems to be based off of the t45 a bit with t51 shoulders
fallout shelter is unironically a goated mobile game
I haven’t gotten a chance to play 76, I want to tho when u watch the show
Hey what biome should I build a bowling alley?
remember how fallout shelter had fallout 4 stuff before the game came out so it was like a teaser
Its very fun, I recommend it
my complaints are purely about the aesthetics of the armour being just a rip off of the riot armour, also it's pretty hard to talk about how the NCR had the industrial capacity to do this when the games are always allergic to any kind of large scale civilizations being depicted
I don't think I'll use a different pistol ever again. This thing is way too good lol
When I play, should I play my responders character or make a new faction focused character
2 had this because it was actually easier to show than new Vegas who was limited via tech
Like trucks and shit were planned for NV
But you know it's new Vegas
I’m thinking underground, hell, or the desert
For my bowling wlleg
Alley*
Or wait til hallow
well still, i don't look at the armour from a lore perspective, i look at it from the perspective of the design team who had entire board meetings about how they could make the riot armour cooler and then coming up with "let's make it powered because that's what everybody wants!"
it's dumb pandering trash, imo
Making power armor for the protests make sense
what protests
Its a fear tactic
The literal reason why the riot armor exists
the regular riot armor was made by the marines for the LA Pa for the LA riots
So the marines giving them power armor too makes sense or at least developing it
still, again, my complaints are purely aesthetics. lore wise i don't mind how much sense it makes
they could have made the NCR PA look completely different
but they chose to make it look like a PA riot armour
in such a blatant way too
do you guys know the origin of the NV riot armour anyways?
YES
It was made by the marines for the LA PD
for the LA riots
I literally just said it
no sorry i meant where the design idea comes from
Oh
it's originally from the description of a character's outfit in i think fallout 2?
a guy wearing a trench coat and a gas mask
Is it wasteland?
i think so, i mean it's hard to tell the IP's apart since they were pretty interlinked during the dev process
but i know the idea of the riot armour originates from an older character
Wasteland 3 has a bunch of art that looks like the concept of the ranger patrol armor
i'll look it up
The armor was largely designed by Massive Black artist Wesley Burt. The initial concepts were inspired by Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, though the armor evolved into a unique design following requests from Joshua Sawyer, including jeans and a trench coat to give the armor a Western vibe.[Non-game 3] It also took beats from Tycho's description in Fallout, as Tycho himself is described as "a man in dusty leather armor with a trench coat and gas mask."
anyways the whole vibe of the riot armour was supposed to evoke a futuristic cowboy
and the show's PA just bastardizes it
i don't like it, i think it's lazy character design meant to hit nostalgia points and i hate that it doesn't even look good
I personally like it as a one off experimental thing for a ranger yeah I think the helmet should've been done better but the general design is cool
the gorget or whatever it can be called is what really ticks me off
bro i hate fandom so fucking much why do they make it impossible to copy images
https://www.rxddit.com/r/DeadlockTheGame/s/zS5pHNVISK @arctic talon slork...
where the 08 is
they copied it and put it on the PA as like a shell deflector or whateve
like.... why?
The dawn of slork…..
hey elite what should i build in the desert
B A W L S E N E R G Y
Y'know the funniest part about BoS is that the story actually isn't half bad.
Problem is that there's no roleplaying... and the game is somehow worse than the classics
Actually it's just boring as shit
I expected to laugh while playing but instead I turned it off after a bit because it's literally a mindless button mashing simulator
...at least this scene is fucking comedy gold
I'm convinced that the team who worked on this game was bingeing on cocaine throughout the entire development cycle. That's the only way this particular scene makes sense.
I bear great news, NVIDIA’s 100 billion dollar deal with OpenAI is now stalled

It’s NOT officially canceled, but it’s no longer in motion
The piss literally just blasts out of him like a fucking flamer
Great Recession 2 + more, even worse Epstein stuff dropping in time for the summer? oh goody
You guys ready for 2020 v2?
It could be a renegotiation but given how OpenAI is fucking shooting itself in the foot
...
Yeah
And Microsoft stocks are down monumentally
Deserved
I think they’re seeing the writing on the wall that Ai just isn’t worth investing in right now
I updated my PC and it blasted me with "PLEASE SET UP COPILOT!"
Hopefully
inshallah we're in the universe were OpenAI goes down and takes Microsoft with them
Skipped all that shit
This will greatly impact the Trout population
Imagine a cadian soldier saying this while the Blackstone Fortress gets rammed into the planet
"Man... fish stocks are gonna be lower no-"
Damn, I already paid my taxes
otay chat
i watched a video that said horus was most afraid of his brother lion el johnson
because of the technology the emperor trusted him with
and how dangerous it was
is this true
is he eating strawberry
Idk about most afraid but the DA had a lot of fucked up weapons during the heresy
@arctic talon DA had shackled men of iron or something right?
Yeah
i read the first book of gaunts ghost
and i'm pretty sure they had this device, idk the name of them but they're old and important in the 40k universe, and it created men of iron but they were corrupted by chaos
ST something
nah he munching a tomato
🤮
it has to processed into ketchup, marinara, etc to be good
Standard template construct STC
They're pish
lmao
damn too spicy 😩
saving this in the event I need to ragebait a Black Templars fan
Word bearers have some serious swag
But like their competition is
Idk the fucking world eaters who have no swag
curse of khorne, destined to be kinda boringg
I love the WE look ngl
The sleeveless gladiator aesthetic is mint
LMAO
Now I need to rage-listen to Fulgurite again. It still upsets me
one of the most pointless stories in that "book"
I'm biased towards short stories and novellas myself, but that one... I really hope it's setting up something really interesting for The Scouring series
Shhhh, let me pretend 😭
Fulgurite was one of the most criticized "why is this even here" Shorts in that book.
the entire anthology in general was just horrible imo
such a waste of good story potential for all of them
aside from Katsuhiro's i was barely getting through them
The Sisters of Silence one I took more issue with in that anthology, but that's just stylistic preference on my part
tbh that was alsoo another "why is this here"
like-
why are we covering this one sister during the siege
just because Abnett can be like
"GET IT READER, THEY ARE READING IN THE LIBRARY FOR ESCAPISM, JUST LIKE YOU!"
Yes Dan. We get it.
Some of the BL authors need their editors to take out their red pens lol
Abnett is the worst case of that lol
Finally someone agrees with me

I'm picky about the BL novels I'll recommend. I tend to read based on the rare content that exists for the factions or characters I like... and then I'll step out of that comfort zone for certain authors. And/or Horror and Crimes but that's more in the #40k-book-club talk I suppose, haha
I wonder if GW will do that thing from a few years ago again, where they gave some chaos warbands their own unique gear and abilities.
Subfactions probably aren't coming back
I see the topic is yaoi
for the forseeable future
Yes, Chaos Seme marines.
Nah you can talk about it her eto lol we arent strict about channel usage that much
The dark days of dabnett being considered the end all be all best BL writer seem to be ending tho
I feel like nowadays a lot of people like Wraight
Nah people will always dickride abnett
They're known for fighting the Uke marines.
hes basically a BL legend
even the people that disliked his ""magnum opus"" End and the Deaf were clashed by people that loved it
I'm checking out the Scouring book purely because Chris Wraight wrote it, haha. Besides him, I tend to like Nate Crowley, Josh Reynolds, Danie Ware, Peter Fehervari, and Victoria Hayward, in no particular order.
Ive got a soft spot for Steve Parker tbh
The name didn't ring a bell, but when I saw what he's written, I've liked most of them c:
Damn it. BL makes me think of Boys Love than Black Library now.
Same, think he's underrated as far as BL authors go.
Buddy this says more about you than the acronym.
True.
I was (technically still am, I guess) really into a series that was abbreviated as BJ quite often and... mmm.
They won't let ADB write his romance novel so probably not
Abnett seems painfully hetero

Dan Abnett is about 60 years old so seems like a gamble
^^^
like
the way this guy writes women is
skintight outfit
very sexy
Gen X'ers are a crazy generation on social issues
No offense to Mr. Abnett if he isn't an insane lead poisoned Gen X'er lmfao
I haven't. I ain't got spare change.
Need to find a hook up for good audio books before I commit to the Heresy series
I still can't believe the HH is a casual 75 books or so
And somehow this wasn't enough of the primarchs for GW
my autism makes me bad with words sometimes, sorry boss
Actually, I'm about to ask out of curiosity, but has there been any Trans characters in any GW series?
Some yes
Yes.
The new age books introduce a few and they are all written very good
Interesting.
Like theres even trans necrons lol
The protagonist asks why he went from being a man to a woman
and shes like
That's neat.
"I wanted more titles befitting my station."
and his reaction is simple
"Hm. Anyway so I need your help."

STRAIGHT TO BUSINESS
Crons got bigger problems lmfao
I think Da Big Dakka covers it with the Eldar
It has a trans succubus yeah
he went to be one because its the only way you can respectfully get that station
as male succubi are not a thing
Mike Brooks is a true MVP, bless him
^
Iron lung was so good
Brooks is queer af, his books are fun too
More gay sex and more orks
Ork gay sex
Gay sex WITH the orks
Makes all of them gay
some orks understand sexangender
I know, but for the purposes of the bit
But Ghazkull is not man
They find it… funny
Fair
But the blood axe doing the translatin’ finds it entertaining as a silly concept
Its grotsnik thats disgusted
How so?
I at least found them somewhat entertaining
You know what I mean
Okay, so, female space marines aren't possible yet, but could a space marine transition?
Im not sure if estrogen would literally do anything to a marine
Probably not
with how fucked up their biology is
They can’t even transition to human
That's a good point.
And with the psycho-conditioning, unsure they can even identify as something else
They're just a meat shell full of organs to kill better tbh
yeah
transhuman™
Trans-human
IIRC, Solana, the Historator from the Cawl books, is either trans or enby
Yeah, that’s common within the cult mechanicus
Another admech W
Real
Also the canon the trans necron
In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, there is only trans rights
Because we have a whole other slew of human rights to revoke
And we have to focus on removing inhuman rights
Hey speaking like this is bad against the imperium, now you have to go to The Chamber™️
Seeing someone complaining about the movement animations In DoW4
And asking "is this a WIP?" With a clip that says WIP at the top
"Doesn't mean everything will be improved" when given an answer they don't like
Do space marines even consider themselves human or just bio weapons?
A lot of them see themselves as above humans
Some see themselves as humans though this is rarer
Some do also see themselves as just weapons but we mostly just see the former two
^
The supremacy is ingrained into them
its bad enough that they refer to humans as "mortals" which in itself is hilarious when you consider your average marine can die like anyone else too
Mortals has a very different meaning depending on who's saying it
lol
Marines it usually means non marines
Its still the same weight tbh
its to make themselves seem like gods when they are about as petty, fallible and mortal lol
yeah there it makes sense
since- well they arent even human lol
Im pretty sure most writers are aware of the irony of it with astartes anyway.
isnt Abaddon a massive space marine supremacist?
Iirc yes
Yes
Many of the Sons of Horus literally fought the heresy because they believed Astartes should dominate humanity
Man
I dodged a fucking bullet with deciding not to go into the game industry just yet

OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME
Quick little story time
So for my workplace (I make pizzas) we have a uniform where we need to wear a hat
I managed to misplace mine and I started having a panic attack over it cause I needed it to be able to work, we couldn’t work if we didn’t have it cause working with food and all
IT WAS UNDER MY FUCKING COWBOY HAT THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME

Thankfully though there was a random spare no one collected that I was allowed to have for free
Yeah the black legion are the space marine supremacist faction
Gonna be honest here
It'll be harder to find a Chaos SM chapter that isn't SM supremacist

Actually are there any who aren't supremacist?
Salamanders?
Iron Warriors? They’re machine supremacists
Nah they're definitely SM supremacists
idk only ones I can think of are the DG
I don’t think many of them even know what they really are anymore
the Red Corsairs seem pretty chill
Certain Word Bearers, they no longer care about the difference
Humanity are the chosen of the Gods
Hell they even venerated Cyrene Valantion who was a baseline human
Call me suspicious, but I detect WB propaganda

Its true
Many of them see baseline cultists as mongrel dogs (Marduk)
But they respect humans who have served the gods well/proved themselves
Salamanders have a very wholesome rship with Humans
The IW only see the humans as good for slaves and fodder based on the Triarchs and Honsou at least
