how could you forget a single space marine that isn't the protagonist of a book

he's so cool tho!!!!!
My only experience with the raptors is them being absolutely stomped in Fire Warrior novelization
My homebrew marines have bandolier pouch slings across their chests and old timey colonial style holsters lol
Type shit
Also unrelated
Finished reading the MaxTac comic, confirmed peak.
also these comics are like fucking 40k books, they are so depressing lmao
also no happy endings
Cyberpunk moment
Nightcity tour guide
First thing to do when you arrive
leave
LMAO
yeah the entire comic is fucked ngl
main maxtac psycho girl is hot tho so idc
Maxtac officers tend to be attractive ask Mike Pondsmith why
Ares from 2020 was hot
Smh
Or at least the way he was described made him sound hot
Completely mentally ill and insane obsessed with literally tearing people apart
But whatever
choom talk
I watched edgerunner recently and it was my first exposure to the cyberpunk universe. It was great
It’s great
Is the game worth it?
Yep it is
Yes, though it’s not super RPGy
get it + phantom liberty
Yeah its needed as a package imo
I returned to the game a few weeks ago on a bet and i was legit dreading it telling to myself i dont wanna really go through this game again from laziness.
2 hours in all that is out the window, it pulled me back in
I've read so much trash on the game when it first came out
Well yeah it was a disaster lol
It deserved all the shit talk
Anyways
The funniest part of 2077
Is that it got ruined by Corpos for the launch
Most cyberpunk shit ever
Edgerunners also made the game enter its renaissance
like, it cannot be not addressed how much of an impact the anime had on the game
it surged like crazy
^
It was a great watch
AND then they released Phantom Liberty after it.
Great music too
All my complaints about 2077 are because I’m a picky bastard who’s played the TTRPG since forever
lol
And I wanted to see
more
Of the world
CDPR has hope and commit... unlike, you know, Concord.
LOL
lets not get into Concord 💀
I WANT MOOOOOOOORE
I think they did Adam dirty in the games though
I've seen gifs of him and he was miserable
He’s better now
Thankfully
They also made Maxtac not a joke
Fucking finally
Should have been that way from the launch of the game lol
Is every build viable?
Pretty much
Few guns suck ass but they’re meant to suck
For worldbuilding
Stuff like the guillotine and Slaught-o matic
I don't want to invest in melee for example for it to be subpar
yeah Adam is a fucking menace now, like if you arent minmaxxing his boss fight is legit horrifying
also related fact
All credit goes to Marcin Przybyłowicz, P. T. Adamczyk, Paul Leonard-Morgan, and all other composers and musicians involved in creating this wonderful soundtrack.

they play his game theme after he murders Rebecca
lmao
also same VA which is great
Still so funny how every iteration of the Tyger claws
Has been less racist
Since 2013

also i played a quest today where V calls them "Kitty Claws" KEK
They used to be only Japanese in 2013/2020
In 2045 they started recruiting other East Asians and “expanding” their racket
And then in 2077 they’re much more diverse though still Japaneses/East Asian heavy lol
Yeah tho its not that far from IRL asian gangs is it?
Does the "origin" matters a lot?
It’s not
Not a ton
Somewhat. You get some really cool dialogue options in specific circumstances.
(Corpo for life)
Most East Asian gangs aside from some irl yakuza are pretty open to race now yeah
lol
They need more muscle
yeah exactly
And more money
its like Gus with the Cartel in BB/BCS now that im watching it
they keep saying hes not one of them
but the issue is
he makes the mshit tons of money
lmao
By 2045 they’ve already integrated more with night city
And then 2077 they’ve started being less regionally racist
Which traitor space marine legion/warband would fare the worst against ogryns?

Prolly like the fourth most comically evil gang
Tbh
Behind Scavs, Wraiths and Maelstorm
Uhhh thats a super huge "it depends" question
Prolly some random fucking warband with no real gear
Lol
Generally speaking
What Elite said then
A csm warband can literally be like
CSM are still marines
13 marines, their cultist groupies
I mean when it comes to their fighting preferences and style
And a gunship
Thats also a huge circumstancial thing
uhhhh
Yeah
Marines in general prefer to fight in specific ways
But they’re not picky
Many ways to blow someone’s head off lol
If from the original traitor legions some night lord warband with no supplies or wargear prolly does the worst just due to culture
But again
It depends™
Theres so many random warbands we never hear of
Oh my god lol
Lol
But culturally the way the nightlords fight is the most unsuited for straight up fights
But some nightlords aren’t cowards

Also do we know the approximate number of traitor marines in the galaxy?
I image it is fewer than loyalists
I heard there are about 1 million loyal marines
But csm are like
Infighting nerds
There’s likely more CSM
But many are more concerned with deposing rivals
I mean yeah
Chaos is chaos
Infighting moment lol
Imperium infighting is bad
Chaos infighting is worse then that
Loyalist marines are even funnier
because they can sometimes just straight up leave
because they just took too many losses lol
or just see the warzone as not really profitable
Hard to pinpoint because the coming and going from the eye of terror makes time fuckery
We know the Death guard got bigger since the heresy
So there’s a fuck ton of them lol
Like the main character from the night lord series fought during the horus heresy but he says it has only been 400 years for him from 30k to 40k
Yea death guard and iron warriors have maintained some degree of unity
Lmao, its mostly because space marines can assign like at best 1-3 Companies depending on its importance to a warzone
they are spec ops at the end of the day
not huge standing armies unless its a REALLY big warzone
Iron Hand moment...
"spec-ops"
They are versatile
Spec ops doesn't soley apply to stealthy shit
Kinda.
^
Really depends on the chapters
Marines are largely a team/squad of peeps tasked to do shit
a lot of chapters operate this way
marketing just presents them all as a horde
because it looks cooler
in reality most Chapters operate like the astartes short
Yes I know
US Army Rangers are spec ops, but they are far from stealthy.
"All I can spare is 3 men" is accurate
Don't provoke me

What are you going to do?
How bro felt typing that up
The space wolf in me is blooming
Gods typing "werewolf" in the .gif search is horrifying
I kinda feel like the rations from the event will bring us problems later.
I know, just saying we should all be destroying those things
It's the 40k thing to do
Caring for the hungering masses doesn't make sense considering the situation on Atoma (especially because nurglestuff)
As much as I'm a soft hearted individual, and even my friend who likes salamanders said "yeah no, those things where in the hands of nurgle, it would be a deservice to the people to give that shit out"
Almost looks like there's already chaos spikes on the rations
Dude when you destroy them the GLOW GREEN
please dont post space king in places that my eyes visit thanks
god i hate that design so much
it's like they were so scared of being sued by GW that they made it as distinctively stupid as possible while still being humanoid
I mean thats literally why they did it.
This entire thing spawned from them getting a cease and desist for selling and banking on black templar merchandise lol
I've had better flashshitz after eating at dubious food places
Do we know much about the eyes of the emperor besides whats on the lexi?
Nope thats literally it. They are basically CIA handlers/field spymasters
I do have a short story excerpt from this edition's codex if you want a taste of what one is like though
Shure go ahead
I kind of wanted one oldass one running mkultra/nightcorp stuff in the sector im writing up but I realised I know basically nothing
Yeah basically to give you the gist
As long as the safety of Terra is re-assured they will do anything.
Yours is a perfect example.
but ye hold on lemme get the excerpt, its a bit long but really cool
Rewatching the Peralez stuff from Cyberpunk made me think about just how wild that shit is
Is it this video?

costumes - https://x.com/...
Yea that's it
because yeah its one of the most fucked up quests in the game i think, first time ive seen a quest in a game where you literally cannot do anything
also yeah to give you an example, swap Peralez's position as mayor to instead be a planetary governor and how a custodian is doing all this to make sure he gets the position so that he actually keeps steady supply lines or important shit going to terra through the tithe or other mercantile endevours and thats basically just one example of how crazy you can make an Eye as you were mentioning it for inspiration lol
Aaaand heres their full page on the 10th codex.
I just now realized that after collecting stockpiles worth of rations.
It's more or less what I was thinking, something like cause a small civil war to purge some nobles siphoning resources and lose tithing in the short term for a larger one long term
Kill a few million who cares
Yeah if you read the excerpt you'll see an example of that
Tyty 🫡
one of his agents is reporting something similiar along with like a big invasion force. And he instantly dismisses it because its not a threat to Terra
Noticed green slime splatters from people destroying em thought I was tripping. Then someone in discord said the same thing I was thinking I thought I've seen.
I really hate that Im liking one 40k shorts channel because HOLY SHIT
https://youtube.com/shorts/YNyxhsHU1dY?si=CtZoBNayUO7qOiFX he's been reading passages out of books with music and sound effects, the way he delivers some of the lines is crazy, and after reading the actual book. He does a pretty good job because God damn
#shorts #warhammer #warhammer40k #rpg #ttrpg #darktide #warhammerlore #warhammer40klore #warhammer40000 #warhammer40000lore #chaosspacemarines #carcharodons #worldeaters #calth #dropsitemassacre #horusheresy #wordbearers #ultramarines #monarchia #khorne #nurgle #tzeentch #nightlords #totalwarwarhammer3 #spacemarine2 #spacemarine #Aeldari #gamesw...
3min short increase has been a blessing no more rot
I don't get why people get so mad of people getting into the setting by reading the wiki or watching shorts/reels/tik toks
I find it so stupid how people inmediately dismiss people for not having correct or up to date information, and them calling them tourist or inmediately disregarding them as fans because they can't cite a novel
Because they are a huge source of misinformation and meme lore that actually damages the actual perception of the lore.
What I like to do is correct people and point them in the right direction with a novel, or just correction missinformation
People look down on folks who dont read novels because they just spout shit they dont know about.
These are very fair views to have, because the vocal fandom legit is probably one of the most obnoxious parts of 40k as a setting lol
I know, but I just find it stupid to scare away new people or intimidate them by telling them o you're dumb
Yeah if you do do that then thats stupid I agree.
Most I do is say "Go read the lexi or books if you want to properly learn stuff."
if they dont want to do that then thats their choice, not my fault if they get beaten by pipes in discord
The problem is that a lot of these goofballs try to hold serious lore discussions and already made up their mind
Not all but too many
Especially darktide players
Give them a chance but if they're just around for memelore idc
space marine2 community
its the equilavent of you being a scientist and the guy across you is saying the earth is flat
That's why I gravitated to that channel because it isn't reading shit off da wiki it's like actual shit going on and I think the VA and other stuff put into them is good
^
the wiki is fun asf to read
also forgot to add but calling people "tourist" is an instant red flag for me lol
Well yeah, that I agree, if its someone just completely disregarding reason then there's not point of discussing with a wall, but if it's someone that genuenly just didn't know any better it always pisses me off that people inmediately start dunking on the person and shaming him for being educated on something he didn't know better
Yeah that, I didnt mean to come off as brash lol. Basically it should be approached like how a head chef might approach some guy that just started cooking, that simple: "Mind if I help you out?"
This is pretty good. I've got free reign thank goodness
Brainwashed suicide bombers on the wrong side of the rift is a go
When I got into 40k I got into it by darktide, then I read entire wiki's before I got my first chapter codex and then got more into 30k lol
I think its a great introduction into the wider lore, tho of course you need to have the will to go above and beyond for sources and actually getting to know the shit you want better.
It's a really overwhelming story, but just because it's big, cuz at least to me it's not that complicated at all.
Yeah everyone starts somewhere, I certainly had some very wrong notions about 40k early on
^
As long as you dont go ontop of a soapbox without actually reading proper lore and spout wrong stuff its fine lol
its all about learning
One of my hottest early take is because I came from warhammer fantasy was that space marines were just warriors of chaos but for the good guys, the Imperium
C'est la vie
More the good guys part
😩
I was very adamant about it
we've all been there lol
Ok this stupid eye of the emperor slotting several puzzle pieces into place for my sector is making me look like that silvia pepe thing
i've gatekept stuff before but i don't feel nearly old enough to have that attachment to 40k
i only gatekeep casuals since popularity is the death of any media i enjoy
you seem semi tuned in on iron hand frequency whats your thoughts on the use and creation of helfathers
idk i barely know iron hands lore outside the stuff i read in HH and my own homebrew renegades
i only gatekeep stuff from people i feel liek would take what i like and utterly misunderstand and fuckit up lmao
I'm ngl
that's casuals 🤝
nah not casuals
I don't super like the new Duradin in the box
they are currently but if im not mistaken they did see good bit of off world use during heresy
yes casuals
If you're annoying I will not share my stuff
people who only want to consume media without actually using it right
like people who have no understanding of basic themes and aritsitc understanding lmao
that's casuals
so lke 70% of the internet
would be cool if we eventually see helfather become their own dedicated variation of an already existing unit like deathwing terms
casuals are the unwashed masses who somehow represent the largest consumer base
hes neat, i think its good to see what ciites of sigmar's nwe duardin will look like
the worst dregs of humanity who also control what media gets the most funding
they probably wont be rangers htoug h
im p casual and here say on lore outside of iron hands p much so no say in the matter me
NASA confirms theres a new second moon in the sky and the next day they fucking die.
Quoting NewsWire (@NewsWire_US)
︀
Trump administration considering eliminating the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
thanks pointelss hub
replace NASA with spaxe force
for no reason
actually wait that would be good for budget
bruh the spaceforce we have now, the space military thing trump made and forgot about, has ltierally done nothign but hinder the economy lmao
make all of NASA become space force's job
it would give it a use
basically militarize the civilian agency
It would utterly fuck over nasa employees
not really
most civilian employees would still work
they just need new clearances which they already have actually
They would instantly keep the same jobs, lose all of their benefits, probably give them worse salaries
nah it would stay the same in that regard
the restructuring would be management level
Companies do thsi shit all the time to fuck over people who depended on benefits
this isn't a company it's a government agency
Donald Trump got elected because he would run America like a company

We need nasa it provides jobs to a shit load of industries and is the back bone of a lot of shit
im not saying it's useless i'm saying if it was given over to the military then it would receive better funding
I worked on a military base I lived on a military base for years
I assure you it would be worse off
Standards of safety would be so fucking low
Quality of everything will drop
We will have another disaster killings hundreds of people
OH YEAH RHAT WOULD ALSO FUCK OVER LIKE EVERYTHING IN THR SPACE STATIONS LMAO
the ISS?
Assuming the Americans currently living in the space station are magically given their jobs
Yeah
the ISS is already being sunsetted
People still fucking live up there lmao
They aren’t gonna bring them down over night if nasa is dismantled
Or at all
afaik astronauts are already military personel
They aren’t
They are under a different classification that’s shared across most if not all astronauts to assure they are safe
They are civilians
anyways this still wouldn't change a thing
it's just a government agency switching hands
And that fucks over everything
if anything it would suck even less since NASA is already being run like a company to its massive detriment
giving grants to shitty space companies
due to congress
the plan was always to replace NASA with private companies
Any time anything scientific is switched hands it holds up experiments for months
And then everything is utterly disrupted and fucked
according to what? personal experience?
youknow why companies buy scientice bullshit its specifically to fuck up research
why would companies want to slow down research
to halt progress on laws that oculd stop their profits
they love ot fund foney and shitty reserach and fuck up important reserach so they cna keep the status quo
this is the exact opposite of what i have seen
the entire tech industry is based on disruptive technology
companies are always desperate to find accurate research that could give them an edge
why do you think it took 35 years to outlaw
they are desperate to fuck up research that would hold them back
research into ai's effects socially were hatled ot further mass adoption of ai
oh you mean the soft sciences
mf
well yeah of course
the food industry has been paying studies for decades to support sugar and other trash
even research into technolgoy shit is fucked up to push shit that isnt ready or fully udnerstood
that's not how that works
yes and it applies to every toher study as well, science and buisness are polar opposites and harm each other all the time
self driving cars
companies regularly ignore science to push terrible products, the research is not even present
not having research doesn't let you ignore laws of physics
the reserach isnt present because companies stop it or fuck it up
thats the point
companies do shit so they can push shit to make sure the research isnt present
it's not because there's no active attempt to disrupt research in this case
literally there is
it took 37 years to fight red 3
becuase research was constantly bein distrupted by false reserahc
and anyways i've followed the problem long enough to know that the issue isn't some insidious plot by the tech industry to stop science. it's a wider problem with capitalism that will end up with science eating itself alive until no research will be deemed profitable anymore
the further science is pushed the less profitable it becomes generally
most actual science isnt profitable, at most they psuh untilt hey get the little htey want then bin it to ruin the world
yeah and that's the issue
AT MOST , most of the time its utterly harmful to buisness
capitalism requires returns on investment
because it sees science as a transaction
you pay money to get potential science you can monetize
science isnot a transaction though it is a constant push and any change, issue, disruption is detrimental
yeah im not agreeing with it
Science can be used for good and bad things. If it doesn't bring corporate profit. Its not valuable
science needs ot be shielded to assure the coproate world doenst tamper it
Big pharma?
thats hwy it needs ot be a goverment entity

and as science gets more and more into niches you get less returns for the same amount of investments
i can guarantee you that particle colliders dont give nearly as much volume of research now than when they were first built
Yeah, science needs to be. Greedy corpos mishandling science isn't surprising.
Speaking of capitalism. I thought about cyberpunk when I saw an advertisement and how I was pretty much motivated to buy a thing because I saw it.
2077 ads are genuinely just present day ads without a mask on
Most science that actually has good chances of potentially discovering something we dont already know are unexplored and risky, so people dont wanna accept it
It's not a parody any more its getting more and more real everyday
Less and less research grants have been approved each year
the military is amazing at wasting money towards baseless research though
would be much better suited
to the point where science boards have proposed ideas like the board getting one "accept no matter what" pass each year
or theyd be forced to accept a randomly selected project
mf no research is baseless
Its so gross if you think about it
also they are great at utterly misuing and weaponizing it
Yeah look at how the technology for MRNA vaccines was discovered
This is true, I do crave McDonald's.
it is when the hypothesis is stupid to begin with (military research often has that)
Literally made to make people give into their eating habits
was based on the most outwardly worthless research
the military has caused millions or billiosn of dollars in damages against reserahc because they dont give a shit

And through a series of unlikely events it ended up being very valuable
everything NASA ever made has been militarized. the same shit happens the other way too
military stuff becomes civilian like the internet
no the US military started it
Oh! I am cooked.
ARPANET
And look where the internet brought us now
Now I remember, for intelligence Intel and communications logistics R&D etc. Makes sense.
It's glorious
ye because US military has a lot of money to spend on research
Like on how to abduct more recruitees
and it needs to stay competitive with world tech
10 million dollars worth of military equipment lost lmao
Competition good then, yes?
The military is the massive money pit known to man
that's not even research related lol
and that's quite literally a drop in the bucket to the military
Just the rations alone
Yeah they mishandled 10 million dollars of helicopters imagine how they handle 50 million dollars of research that could stop the military from bombing a small village
Because of an endangered species
Well actually they would ignore it anyway
Point retracted
the US navy takes environmental safety very seriously
it's actually crazy how the US military is careful with nature
Because the navy actually requires brain cells
I'm now imagining like
Some random soldier riddling somebody with bullets, one of the bullets accidentally grazes a tree, and then they're immediately distraught.
"NO! YOU WERE MY FIRST LOVE! NOOOO!"
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
AAAAAHAHAAHAHahah
Us military careful with nature
Project Orange moment
That’s a good one
Hmm, that's interesting.
anyways let me just remind you mag that 75% of NASA' budget goes to private companies already
the agency's entire reason to exist these days is to select which private company gets funding
Actually any war
I think they are still one of the largest carbon producers. Not even due to an actual wastefulness. It's just that having a shit ton of military vehicles, oil to fuel said vehicles, etc.
They contribute a lot to climate change... in a bad way. So they might be trying to mitigate that
Bullet casings them selves cause metric shitloads of damage to the environment
Just bullet casings by them selves
I think they do take it seriously not because they actually care that much about being green.
But because if they get worse on the environmental part, then things quickly become harder for THEM as well.
Lmao
what even is the point of this anymore i was talking about making NASA part of the space force for budget reasons
Anyway it’s midnight I need to sleep
none of this would be about war directly even
You sleep at a HALF DECENT TIME??
How DARE you

Spaxe force will utterly fuck up any remaining space researching
You mean like the budget slashing hasn't?
Oh that's what this is about? Yeah I kind of expected and guessed that to happen eventually too for the same reasons. Has that happened yet?
idk i just saw somebody post about trump wanting to delete NASA
To be fair, NASA isn't special on that front.
He wants to kill a lot of USA governmental institutions in general
Or severely neuter them
i just think space force taking over NASA's role would mean congress wont be able to be shithead to it anymore since cutting military budget is a lot harder than slashing government agency spending
even though trump is trying so hard to reduce military spending rn with hegseth
True, I think it should be a temporary thing, especially since a couple of countries could tweak the fuck out and be like
"THEY'RE GONNA MAKE SPACE WEAPONS"
Which tbf, it's the USA, they're probably right
Lmao
what are they gonna do about it?
All we need is a golden god man
Well…orange is kinda golden…
this is the inevitable result with international dick measuring contests anyways
space was always going to become the next competitive sector
Y'know I once said earlier, with the whole DOGE fiasco.
That if they actually wanted to do what they'd say. The first target would be the military
people were only ok with spaceX filling low earth orbit with trash because it was an american company
Since they literally haven't passed a single financial audit
Of course, DOGE isn't actually made for its purpose
It was just to fuck things up more tbh
they're trying to reduce spending in the military laati believe me
i read the pentagon's dog shit paper
Oh yeah doesn’t doge eats like 7 billion a year or something
the one hegseth wrote
Oh no I actually do believe you. Just funny that they're only doing it recently
he's trying to turn the military genuinely stupid
like he literally wants to return to m113 supremacy
Well wouldn’t take that much effort
Ehehehhehrh
In an age of drone warfare
Yeah sure buddy
oh drones too
but only because drones are cheap for less manpower
and manpower is the real economic drain
a person costs so much money to train and keep alive
Honestly, to this day, I still have no idea what is done out of malice
And what is done out of pure stupidity.
For this administration
I love how fallout 76 has to make the the pre war world even more and more fucked up to stay ahead of the current real world government so they can stay a lightly political satire
Yeha lol
1000000$ corvega
Except the cool laser guns
In fallout 76 the coal miners were protesting against the adoption of robots that would take thier jobs, so the companies sent robots and cops to kill the protesters
"glock 86 plasma pistol"
Oh yeah and the ai ran city
The one who
something that always struck me as odd in fallout was the date
Is waiting for you...
the setting kept the same exact retrofuturistic aesthetic for like 90 years after the real 50's
Will prove untrue... then what will you do?
Maaaybe.... you'll sit and decide. Wishing that I were there...
idk why the game couldn't have taken place during the 70's
instead of the 2070's
it's just weird ya know
Lore wise I heard fallout technology advanced wider instead of becoming more compact
Probably to explain how the fuck they have plasma guns
Either that or just boredom
yeah they had nuclear tech instead of transistor computers
so they have mini fusion reactors but old 70's computers
Which is why the Fallout universe was culturally stagnant
Literally the technological equivalent of being able to complete a marathon but not able to ride a bike without training wheels
Also people forgot that the nuclear technological advancements is supposed to be utterly fucked up lmao
Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed
could have just said tech went super fast and they got it by the 1970's. it just always struck me as weird that lore basically only starts during the 2000's with the resource wars and everything
“Yeah we should have nuclear cars!”
Admittedly, it is one of the things I actually love about Fallout.
The general futuristic 1950's style. Combined with well... A post apocalypse
The vibes (tm).
That's probably the only explanation
idk to me the setting never really made sense but that added to the charm
it's why i never wanted an actual view of the setting pre apocalypse
something fallout show disappointed me with
and 4 too
Fallout 4 is one of my favorite vidoegames ever
Tbf, kinda mixed on that.
But honestly, I think what would be cool isn't pre-apocalypsr
But like
Like on story lmao
wouldn't that just be 76?
Cause two stories that I fucking loved were the Survivalist and Raul's backstory. Which were both set immediately just after the bombs dropped.
The fallout 4 story pushed an important message even if it’s as fluid nv or 3
25 years
Uhg fallout 4 story I love you so much
mag you're saying crazy words rn go sleep
And this is a sign you need to sleep
Gn
I love institute
Although tbf I think the institute is the definition of wasted potential
Cause I do like how their designs look
prepare the diazepam injection
I don't just mean a decade after.
I mean "it's only been 6 months" type shit.
The institute is how one’s obsession and internalized self doubt destroys good
76 taking place while most of the world is still too radiated to be livable is the funniest shit ever
nobody bothered to nuke west virginia
Tbf
It's West Virginia. That state is the definition of a shithole
why would you
man i should play point lookout agan
that place didn't get hit by nukes either
but over time the radiation from DC washed over the swamps
what a good DLC that is
Also tbf it would take 48 hours for it to go down to
""Livable""
Levels
If it's based off of 1950's era nukes anyways
nah not in fallout
fallout has magic radiation
remember all the places with deadly radiation
that will kill you in seconds even sometimes
Tbf there's a reason why I put double quotes there.
Also depends on the area.
Like areas in major cities are a fucking no go
I can imagine with Fallout nukes. Suburbia would actually be fine...ish
it's wildly inconsistent now that i think about it
there's that military camp in new vegas that was made right after the nukes fell
Fallout would be so good if it weren't marred by the writing and technical know how of Bethesda
Tbf I think that part is just
Video game. Fallout's time scale is weird.
Like no offense but even though it is humanity. Areas like DC should at least have gotten larger settlements than
Megaton and Rivet City
but alas it's ass
the writing of the setting does leave a lot to be desired often
simply due to lack of care with consistency
I really like the railroad
I LIKE THEM THEY AR ENCOOL
and let's be honest bethesda has no fucking clue what people love about fallout other than the aesthetic
I can tell by the gutted fucking mechanics
the show probably showed them i hope
Tbf they are improving
Somewhat
76 now actually has better systems than 4. Which is sad.
we'll see how fallout 5 will be
Presumably when I'm 30
Fallout 76 is like best live service mmo on the market rn which is kinda insane
One of the best
Actually kinda wild how much they progressed from launch
Which was like the most ass thing ever
sooner than you'd expect which is not a good thing
there is no way in hell that fallout 5 will be good
Oh dear
with bethesda's track record
The people who work on76 now love 76
can't be, it was SO ASS when me and my gf tried to get into it
It’s insane
you literally cannot even progress with a friend
I mean... It could be...
I...
It could be good...
We could have... writing that doesn't make me want to shoot every-
Oh who am I kidding
I only play solo 76 and it’s so fun
starfield man
Yeah I know
Seriously if they fucked up their own IP this badly
just aint no way sadly
2 player 76 is a bit rough but 3 and 4 is the sweet spot
I'm even more worried about ES6
No need, it'll be ass
is it coming out yet
Definitely
But I just wonder
How fucked it is
I’m glad I dodged starfield
bethesda can genuinely milk skyrim forever
I can't believe people were tricked into thinking Skyrim was a good game
Is the elder scrolls mmo good?
Honestly it's good for 2011 standards
I haven’t played it in years
Definitely showing it's age now for sure
I hated it on the launch day
I am a person who unfortunately played Vanilla for like 150 hours
i never liked skyrim but i thought that was me being dumb
I really struggle to like Skyrim
I played vanilla for 2 hours and never touched the game again
woah same jerk
i think i liked messing around in skyrim as a kid with my friend's computer
Fucking around in Skyrim is fun
but also like the melee in the skyrim engine is so bad
The fallout 4 dialog system is bad but Skyrim’s is mostly as bad if not worse and no one complains
Also true
I will say wielding 2 things at once in Skyrim is fun, except duel spells
Dual spells feels awful it gives me a headache
Honestly FO3's melee is even worse.
Like at least Skyrim has more variety with spells and enchants.
And Fallout NV actually tries to do more
Fallout 3's melee is just
It's just there
It's mid
It’s ight
animations giving me nausea
Idk why the fuck they neutered unarmed
Oh yeah it’s unbearable
Because every game it’s busted as shit
It was only busted in NV
The dev team didn’t get to finish fallout 4’s melee system
In 3 it doesn't exist
And 3 and 2 and 1
they didn't get to finish a lot of stuff
All the good unarmed weapons are from 3
oh no my RPG has an OP skill if only i could play this game in the way i wanted
All of the power fists baiscally
ok but NV has pocket sand
Yeah, I’m glad they finished the story except for Brotherhood
Oh and uhhh
Minute men
im one of the rare enlightened individuals who understands that NV is made better with the lack of completion
That is literally three weapons
Power fist and it's two variants
since obsidian had to focus on the core content more
instead of superfluous side missions
dont forget the cosmic knife fist
and the shotgun fist
Isn’t shotgun fist from 3
NV's unarmed is fucking awesome
I like Greased Lighting because with a couple of perks and drugs
Paralzyzing palm, that’s busted as fuck
You get to turn into a shonen character
POCKET SAND
Honestly
Techniques like that were fucking great. Why the fuck did they not have that for 4
I liked that type of shit
Deathclaw gauntlet, the shocker (paladin toaster), Fausto!
one of the few things i love about 4 is making drugs act cooler
Fisto!
also jet being a slow mo drug
instead of just more AP
(useless if you dont use vats like me)
Then it was busted and they undid it
Yeah it's now lore accurate since it was always described to be like
Meth and Junkem fusion
lmao
Especially with it's origin for the Junkem part
Well kinda -not really. Even back then
Jet?
But basically Jet became widespread because of Brahmin shit.
And Junkem is a drug literally made from shit
it comes originally from fallout 2
So
No it’s made from inhaling shit fumes like that fake drug form the early 2000s
What’s it called…
you get to create the origin of jet which then gets soft retconned
Actually the they fixed it
He reinvented it
Sorta, it was always described as a reproduction of sorts. It's implied that Jet WAS a thing.
The original recipe for jet was lost from the war
Plus there was no jet on the west coast
not retyping that
I did the classic save and reload thing a couple of times
Is that true???
Yup
Because he’s like
yeah try it
14
it's gross
YUP
There's a reason why his fate is basically dying alone
With nobody remembering him
Bruh maybe Bethesda was right…..
This is canon
Good
Like literally every ending in FO2 had that as his fate
He was stabbed by a Jet Junkie also
To make it even more ironic
Okay sleep time fr before I talk about how much I love the institute
Gn
i want to kill preston garvey
Also this is a pipe dream
this is a legal threat
Genuinely wish for a remake of Fallout 1 and 2 but with the modern fps gameplay
Idk how it would work
isn't that a fan project
Look up Fallout Bakersfield
But it would be cool as fuck
Its a fan game
Yeah looks awesome
you're cancelled if you dont go sleep
lol
Every fallout 1/2 remake project has been cancelled
Now I sleep
Except Bakersfield
London isn’t a remake of fallout 1/2
Also remakes of 3 and nv all got cancelled too
Weird
wasn't the NV one just sued or smth
it got pretty far
meanwhile the foot fetish deathclaw mod
with the best driving mod in the community for no reason
Not sure
Is there any correlation with a massive surge of AI in the world and how fucking bad and stupid autocorrect has gotten recently am i the only one
my autocorrect will constantly gaslight me and tell me words that im using arent real
maybe?
we dunno
some companies might try LLM shit as autocorrecct
Yes
My phone's autocorrect was replaced with AI last update for the keyboard
it sucks
it was in the patch notes
My phone's Galaxy S25 if that matters
it's supposed to learn your writing patterns etc
THATS MY PHONE
i KNEW IT
itS so FUCKING badf
the what now
you heard him
Darktides lore really does make no sense to me tbh
How come?
Just feels too "loose" like people in charge should've been executed already
Isn't the ragged king literally a nurgle cultist or
and zolas working with him
Though, I heard that the inquisition, the radical sort, sometimes makes use of chaos to fight chaos?
me when I dont even know the lore
ragged king is dead and the one zola worked with wasn't a chaos cultist
Zola worked with him in the past
Rodin became the new Ragged King, but the old one was basically just a mob boss in the underhive
Rodin like the Karnak twins?
yeah
Where was that mentioned in game
I think it's is in one of the Vox interception
From December 2023
Where it is more so that Ronda took over the Enforcer station, and him the Ragged King's court
As pseudo seats of power
Could you still hear/see the transmission or is that only from back then
It should still be on the fs YouTube channel
oh, but what about in game rn
Nothing afaik

It’s unimportant info bcs we know the ragged king is dead
The status of the current one is irrelevant
Able, malice and the comissar
Not sure who the book lady is
is it out already
Please shoot me at work (encore)
Bloody hell
Had to go through 2-3 weeks of bloody back and forth just to send a single fucking email

nearly word for word 😭
@storm jungle Good first book on tyranids?
ye
Search the #40k-book-club for my similar question. She recommended a few. Valedor stands out.
Watching a vid on tyranids that may or may not be reliable
Don't like that their gaslit into looking like angels...I want my gods looking horribly grotesque. not more Christian adjacent imagery...
I dont play this game, any tldr that could translate into fatshark? I know arbites released here as well alongside darktide version
not sure what you mean by translate to fatshark since this isnt made by that company.
But there is an arbites dlc if thats what youre asking and he is a playable companion
Tfw parodys of real life are becoming less parody
As in could be used as dakrtide content
tfw life immitates art
not exactly? this is a different game from darktide completely, its a CRPG and has turn based combat
darktide is like a super fast paced left 4 dead kinda game with reaction timing
only similarity is that theyre both in warhammer 40k
Nvm then, I just thought since they both released arbites together, maybe warhammer day soon could mean perhaps another collab would come
“Skibidi is its own reward” Lion El’Jonson. Thramas Crusade.
I can explain the game simply if you’d like
Oh I know what the game is, I was just fishing for new potential darktide content
Trying to get into it myself but havent had the time lmao
I dont play just cause I dont play the genre, hell I own it 🤣
There was a cosmetic crossover
Its honestly prolly just gonna sit in my library cuz of work, oof
It’s so very good
I don’t usually do crpgs
Im aware, still not something I play
Is the Sslyth portray meant to be a new companion ?
Not a fan of just listening to game music outside of the games
Fair

oh greykngihts only have vunerable dreadnow instead of just dreadnought
@storm jungle so I played vtmb2 for a few hours yesterday. And officially it's pretty mid. Combat is a bit clunky. The dialogue is really nice though and the characters are well done
Yeah sounds about right.
It's probably about as good as it could be with dev hell
