Depends on the engine, wouldn't it?
The engine they use for total war can barely stomach all the shooting in Warhammer 3
I've never played total war, so
It is quite scuffed, basically
well actually no
I never said it would be a good game
I did play the samural total war
It would sell off name alone
yeah playing ikit is a funny way to blind siding yourself
More like nuking yourself
Exterminatus but on yourself? O:
I love indiscriminately bombing my army!!!!
If Total warhammer 40k released I promise you they'd at least break even, regardless of if the game even runs
Oh yeah Defo
It would suck absolute ass
Almost assuredly
But if it has space marines it'll sell
But we money talks
One of their more popular games meets its cash cow older cousin?
They'd be dumb not to frankly tbh
Yeah..
i just want a game where i can play Iron jawz man
and after the flop of realms of ruin
i lost that hope
Is sigmar even more popular than fantasy?
I see almost no sigmar content organically
aren't they literally second earner of GW
and over the years they have built up a good enough reputation but compared to 40K
Maybe? I know GW just put out some dope LotR stuff
As a tabletop game yeah
I see Middle Earth, I see 40k, I see fantasy/old world
But it's a different draw kinda
yeah AOS is second only to warhammer 40k in earning
But Simgar just never seems to come up
40k has decades of lore and alternative media to consume when getting into it, AoS is a lot more of a nerd wargaming thing still
40k is already at the 10th edition
we are only getting on 4 for AOS
Most people I talk to seems to hate AoS
I don't know Sigmar has a giant white lady riding a bug as a mini so I guess I might get into it
(typically this is for no reason)
Everyone kinda agrees Fantasy better
that's just people randomly hating without even knowing about it
The models I gotta agree are peak
The lore?
Yea no
lore is good what you mean?
yep
I just can't bring myself to like AoS lore
The lore has something called "the necroquake". It's good lore.
If you called anything a "necroquake" I'd love it
Too over the top
And yes I know that sounds kinda stupid in regards to describing anything Warhammer
yeah it's high fantasy
Some are better than others but some admittedly are pretty funny
what can i say Gw is funny
Orruks i have gotten around but man saying it was a handful
Only thing that I can genuinely say intrigues me from AoS are the Deepkin (luv me Sea Elves
)
And the fact they just copy/pasted Skaven from Fantasy
Gloomspite Gitz is an upgrade to night goblins though
Syvalneth is good though
100%
oh yeah what's your favorite faction
Like seriously sylvaneth is both a cool name and genuinely feels like an "evolution" of wood elves despite being mostly tree ghosts
*Gitz tyvm
Exodites are still better wood elves tho despite being long extinct in terms of products
lore wise the race is called Grotz
Don't you go slurring my loonboyz
Wood elves are my favorite kind of elf but I'm always of the opinion they should be like, the alabama inbred crackhead cousins of high elves
that's literally what they are called in universe though what do you want me to say
Grrrr
Fantasy at least hit the bare minimum of my requirements and let them be cannibals
Like seriously
Do you ever think about how often wood elves eat people in various franchises
It's basically their defining feature at this point
Skyrim Warhammer
Dwarf fortress
If it's a WH reference it would be the only one in DF so I doubt it
I'm trying to think of the novel I had that also had cannibalistic wood elves but it escapes me
Kinda makes sense tho
A cannibal society is a-ok if your religion forbids eating salad
Besides, at least its fresh meat
Not like we're eating 2 week old carrion
That's literally the logic in DF unironically
They Worship plants so they don't eat them, but they eat any enemy they kill instead
If you cut down too many trees, they come for your flesh
Elder Scrolls and Warhammer goes more in a "its disrespectful to not eat anything you kill" angle though so it's less a preference and more a byproduct of war
Unless you worship the Lady of Rot that is
mmm eyeballs....
Sauteéd eyeball confit anyone?
I love how the morality of every species in DF is hardcoded
BTW kobolds are the moral default in DF
If you aren't exposed to any particular religion or culture in DF you default to kobold ethics
Which is fine because they're clearly the best species
The ethics of kobolds can be considered the most primitive, besides those of goblins (which are basically non-existent). Generally, kobold morals are based on a tribal system of loyalty, with some exceptions such as an opposition to the devouring, butchering or consuming of intelligent beings, slavery, possession of trophies and to most forms of torture (except torture for sport). The moral focus on loyalty makes treason unthinkable among kobolds. Kobolds do not offer much in the form of punishment for crimes: assault is considered a personal matter, while a kobold found to have killed one of their own is forced into exile.
Tbf they’re elf souls shoved into trees
Well some of them are
Sorry I'm thinking of DF kobolds now
Remember to thank DF for how you think about kobolds
Whether you are in the "cunning trap master" or "shortstack fuck dragon" camp of kobold Fandom, dwarf fortress made that for you
those fuckers keep stealing my fortress's valuables
I made a 10 level pitfall trap leading to my artifact room and they still found a way to get in it
You know
Sometimes I think the humans in the imperium are insane
Then I remember we’re exactly like that right now
Lmao
Yup
The imperium is very possible
Do remember that the Americans already pre-built a big ass chair to set the Emperor of Humanity on
It's just being occupied by Honest Abe atm
Ever head of the Unkillable Soldier?
I have not
Let’s just say he earned his name
He was shot 11 times in war
In his:
eye, groin, ankle, hip, ear, face, skull, stomach,
He lost his hand, ripped his own fingers out when denied an amputation, fell off a moving train
Survived 2 plane crashes
And his most famous quote?
“Frankly, I enjoyed the war”
The DeathKorps of Krieg are based on the Stormtroopers of WW1 right?
WW1 french soldiers
French?
Really?
Their outfit does not scream French influence to me
notable lack of egregious red pants
Bro I’m so bored, I might reread necron books again
They are based on every kind of soldier from WW1
So just WW1 overall
Oh I thought it was specifically french soldiers
but considering their home planet is called Krieg, German for war, I have my suspicions on the biggest inspiration

it's funny because old krieg heavy weapons used to look frenchier
That's just because Krieg sounds better than Guerre
Omfg is that where Guerrilla comes from?
Yes
Language is an amazing thing
Yea it literally means little war
Although it comes from the Spanish Guerra rather than the French Guerre
Besides the Hellbore Lasgun, what all weapons did Kriegsmen use?
Besides Admech I’d consider them my favorite human group
Mainly cause I’m a history buff and ww1 inspired stuff is always sick
Mostly the same variety as most other Guardsmen, but notably the Krieg Engineers use Shotguns and Mole launchers
their variety comes mainly from large weapons
I should use the Helbore the next time I play left side Vet
Kreig Quartermasters usually use Bolt Pistols as well and officers can have the same variety as other Guard officers, las pistols, bolt pistols etc
krieg uses some uncommon stuff like leman russ annihilators and bombards
They also use Hades drills to surprise enemy backlines
I think they're typically used by Krieg engineering teams?
Hades drills are a much bigger thing
krieg engineers use shotguns which are also relatively uncommon as standard weapons in the militarum
Did they ever do the deep dive for level design yet?
their storm troopers use hot shot lasguns like all the rest
Like
Yeah they did
I think its done now though
So they just didn’t upload it to YouTube then
Its on twitch
so i was right in thinking the hades in SM2 are way too big
It's probably scalable
Didn't even know the drills were in SM2
i noticed every background model
the large amount of utility sentinels in SM2 is pretty cool
even though the models are rarer than hens teeth
Same area in the battle barge ye ah
the weirdest model in game is the militarum heavy bolter
it has such weird things going on with it
What's it look like
the SM2 one yeah
it bugs me a lot because like
the basic heavy bolter model is very good in mini-form
whoever modelled it doesn't seem to understand that the barrel is the whole piece of metal so adding holes to it makes no sense
I guess it was their attempt to "tacticalize" it maybe??? Because Cadians got those weird tact-helmets too
but ah well
it's just weird considering how 1:1 everything else is in game
also pretty funny how they added like every type of space marine tank but only showed 1 baneblade and the leman russes all have the same loadout
main battle cannon and sponson multi meltas which i dont think can shoot
even then, there's a predator annihilator model that gets used like twice but only as background
it's like they modelled so we go
Most likely yeah
You might be confusing the Hades drill for the Termite.
(Or the Mole or Helbore)
You mean the Termite/Mole/Helbore 🙂
They were a weapons option for quite a few units in the Guard list, just never worth taking
You were always better off taking flamers and heavy flamers instead
It looks like they tried to take inspiration from the M2 (those holes don't vent into the barrel)
Were the helmets different?!
I don't think they showed a land raider :p
(Or a Razorback or Rhino?)
Just slightly but yea they were, they look more modified like the Moebian loyalist helmets than the simple brutalist cadian rebreathers
you literally gotta zoom in to see it tho

I mean the optical sight kinda makes sense
The barrel is too weird even for 40k standards though
How the fuck does that even work
Is it like an extended attachment?
How do heavy bolters cool down anyways
Is it like an MG-42 where you have to like
Open the fucking gun
This thing?
Mmyeah nah that was a stupid idea
But yeah how does the barrel inside not like
That's the Space Marine one, not the IG one
Melt
Also, if you want to be slightly triggered
The Thunderhawk's heavy bolters are larger than the heavy bolters we carry
😂
Like I thought of a sec you have to like
Open up the chassis
And
Throw out the barrel
Replace it with a new one
Similar to the Mg42
Somehow
Don't ask me why I thought of that I just did
I mean it's kinda like how US soldiers don't use the M2 as an LMG.
Well they did during WW2 but tbf that's because they literally didn't have any better options
I mean that the caliber that they're firing is the same, but that it was scaled up on the Thunderhawk because the whole TH model got scaled up so Primaris can fit in them.
The TH design was based on Firstborn which was pre-truescale primaris
Idk maybe it has a bigger capacity?
No, the entire gun is bigger.
Oh
Welp, time for the good ol Headcanon tape
It fires a bigger caliber, ignore anything saying otherwise
There

Also, presumably, the barrels wouldn't overheat as much if they don't have rifled barrels.
But GW lore has gone back and forth on that
Honestly another headcanon I have is this
SMs are confirmed to store ammo on a belt
You can actually see it in some artwork
But I also think they have pauldron storage
Basically they store ammo in those big ass pauldrons just in case
FYI, for the thunderhawk scale- look at this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/ui0ftp/dark_angels_thunderhawk_deploying_a_detachment_of/#lightbox
You can see how the Primaris marines are too large to fit on two floors of thunderhawk
In fact, the Primaris marines don't actually fit in the cockpit properly.
You just look into the thunderhawk
See a bunch of Primaris Marines packed in like sardines
"Brother Brad. You farted."

Yeah never understood why they have SMs pilot it
But I guess it's for like
"I don't trust anyone other than my brothers" type of thing
It's also "SM pilots are more durable"
I mean you don't want the Serf who's pissed about their mistreatment to intentionally crash the thing
And "SM techmarines can make fixes to it when its grounded"
That actually happens in the SM2 campaign
I mean that part is true.
This however
I mean technically?
https://www.belloflostsouls.net/2017/04/40k-comparing-new-old-thunderhawk.html
BOLS calls dimensions the same, if a little smaller
But if it's gonna crash, there's still a high chance the pilot is gonna die
Or if the pilot gets shot
If it can go through a fucking thunderhawk, it can go through ceramite
But to make the marines in SM2 fit into the thunderhawk they scaled up the scale relative to the marines
But when you scale it up, all their weapon systems get scaled up
Hence.. a heavy bolter that's like 20% to 30% larger than what you carry ingame
Just say it's a new fancy mars pattern
Made bigger for no reason
They just have the follow the STC

Also thunder hawks
Are scaled differently
For the minis
Vehicles have their own scale
Directly upscaling them leads to weirdness
Always thought Minis represent like
More than just a single marine/guardsman or whatever
it's a weirdness thing on TT
Like idk, one marine mini is equivalent to a squad

Anyways, 40k scale is all kinds of whack
Don't stare too hard at it, or you'll go insane
I mean even in lore it's bad
More then adherent to lore
The numbers make no sense
It's hard to though, because the in-game models are taken from the same CAD models they used for the TT models
I just make it a rule to add like one zero
Instead of 10,000 Marines it's 100,000
That type of thing
Wait did they upscale them 1 to 1
Just like how the cinematics models are the same CAD models.
There’s over a million marines in the imperium
The dead giveaway is how every warlord titan has the exact same details
So like I’m w/e on it
Because like in lore, apparently a squad of Marines is enough to fucking take over a planet
How
I don't care how badass they are.
Murder the power structure
Teleport decapitation strike
Fair
Let the guard clean up
Imo it makes more sense when you realize they’re just
Dropping into a specific place
To murder commanders
Doesn't make it a planetary takeover though
That's more like an assassination
They're Very Speshul And Very 1337 Shock Troops
IG it's boring to say
They’re almost always supporting a pdf or guardsmen
"A squad of Marines can take over a planet...
And like 5 regiments of guardsmen
And PDF defectors/loyalists
And-"
Typically they're not deploying at Chapter or Company strength unless it's for big engagements either
Like the Dan Abnett books are usually like, "a squad of marines" supporting multiple regiments
Which feels more like the "proper scale" of engagement
Imo the scale of marines is fine overall
I do wish chapters were 10k marines
But whatever
I still think 10 million instead of 1 million makes more sense because
The galaxy is big
There's a thing called 30k...
IK the Imperium doesn't have all the galaxy in its srea
As much as 40k
(I know, I was pulling your leg lmao)
But like
I’m aware it’s funny to act like I don’t though

Idk 1 million marines is generally fine imo
They only show up in the real shitholes
yeah no one talks about the tens of millions of guardsmen just fighting and dying over some pointless rock
(Unless it's kriegers, then everyone has a hard dick)
Tbf forgeworld did make them dying over planet shithole into a pretty cool campaign book
yeah lol
FW generally did a good job
Badab War was well-fleshed out
My dear Elysians getting yeeted and then dying to a man because reinforcements couldn't link up is also very realistic lmao
(coincidentally also how most of my elysian games went)

You can't deny that the FW books were generally written more fairly/balanced-ly than the codexes which are written to show that faction only in the best light possible
Mhm
I’m done
The first draft of it

Gotta get feedback and make revisions ya know

I know Noise Marines (lore-wise at least)
usually just play incredibly loud and piercing noise
because the sheer feeling of noise is their pleasure
But I wonder if there is any of them that just play like
outright rock songs or something
Like they're a band.
And the songs they play are considered to be
Killer.
Like if you're in close proximity your head fucking explodes due to the sheer noise
but if you're far away, you actually hear a song.
And because Chaos
it basically hypnotizes anybody who hears it to come closer
in which their heads explode due to the sheer volume
Fucking sick
I can imagine the band right now
One Noise Marine Guitarist
One Noise Marine on the drums
A Daemonette and a Noise Marine as the singer/"duet"
(Noise Marine being the masculine voice, Daemonette being the feminine)
The little bolter underbarrel 😭
good luck aiming that shit
I dont think they're supposed to have good aim with it
little to no ammo in the mag
impossible to aim
immersion broken
I'm starting to think 40k isn't realistic
think I'm gonna be sick...
He understands the truth now...
This should be more accurately space marines on the right
it's canon art
It’s a big galaxy
Wherefrom btw
The chaos MTG deck
Didn't a SM that became deaf mocked a NM before blast his fucking head off
matter of fact
'm pretty sure that's Johan Grenier
It was the first Noise Marine
yeah it's Johan
he did the Abaddon art for the deck as well
anyway
How he does this like gold and stuff is my giveaway for him lol
Kinda, so the noise marine’s weapon had been fucked up before hand
So he was just shouting using his voice
Draw an ogryn noise marine
do it
The marine was an Iron Hand deafened on Istvaan V and in cataphractii
Anyways yeah it doesn’t stun him like it does the others and he manages to blast him
yeah I almost ordered a copy of that but the price with the taxes was just too much so I passed on it
Grombrindal!
mood
Ye ik
I want to get as good as I was a few years ago
it was the cover art for the 500th issue
Wish I was that good
Was on some shit back then
You takin homebrews? lol
I'm down
I’ll just throw my guy Tyr at ya.
See how much “fun” you have with that
legion?
True loyalist
The Great Rift is combing with the Eye of Terror, Abaddon is speeding towards Terra, and forces are quickly being depleted.
Kaldor Draigo, now free from the hands of the four, goes through several doors. Each more secure and protected than the last. All made out of Auramite
Until he finally arrives at the room. A small box on top of a simple metal table.
The Terminus Decree.
He opens it, and he only sees one creature.
A snail.
Along with a note.
"I'm the 40k plot"
"Place it near the throne."
Bet
i was thinking about how like, black characters in comics always have ligthning powers
then i was like 'well at least nothing in warhammer woudl full into that stereotype'
and
THE MAIN
STORMCAST CHARACTER
AAAAAAA

i am a fool
Damn it mags you just had to remind me
Seems on brand
It is GW after all
Is the main stormcast dude not the uh
1e guy?
Or did they move on from him
Celestant Prime? Hes more of a figurehead/diety of Sigmar
On one hand, it’s a stereotype
On the other, that dude looks fucking sick and badass
Me too
Damn I love Severed by Nate Crowley, easily tied for my favorite necrons book
Just read it again
Nothing needs to be said
#dc #dcuniverse #youngjustice #blacklightning
Why even is that a thing
Comics needing contrast iirc
So having darker characters have power that are white give great contrast
That sounds like a skill issue and or excuse
to honest though a good chunk of them are very cool
And to even further make them cool there are plenty of superheroes that even though they are black and don't have electric powers they are pretty cool
Examples being bulletproof and Cyborg
Yeah Luke and Cyborg's powers are different but they are still great.
i think white superhero characters deffo suffer more from "yall literally have the same power"

yeah
like it's some variation of either shooting a laser or something
White super hero suffer from them having to many.
So it end up with similar heroes none the less
Cyborg really confuses me
Is he in teen titans or the justice league? Are there two?
Nah he just changes positions depending on the comic/universe.
the usual progression is the Teen Titans start as... well teens, then once they grow up they usually just disband and go their own ways, with their own line of work they already come across each other as regularly as is so they dont usually see a downside to it.
Robin ans Cyborg seem to be the one that work with the JL thr most often isn't it ?
BASED SIGMARITE
It depends, in most iterations hes an adult
so that tends to be the direction they go for

done
Capeshit writing in general tends to be piss poor
So hard disagree
Kind of.
He is in the TT as a teen, once he grew up he kinda is a permanent member of the JL
Considering blud is the damn reason the JL space station functions at all
It has as many good as bads, dont exaggerate so much.
joker 2 was a disaster
the Jonkler is no more
I'm not exaggerating shit
It's all slop
There's about as many good superhero media stuff as bad ones.
So yeah, stop exaggerating.
Well 99% of it is slop
The literal only reason people like capeshit
Okay.
btu yeah get over it
what are you Garth Ennis?
LMAO
it's just entertainment media get over it
damn thats a good one
The boys creator?
Thats him
yeah the guy that hates superheroes so much
if you hate superhero media that much you'll end up like him
aka an edgy incel no one likes
Guy's such a piece of shit too
Unlike him. My hatred basically extends to most all pop culture with the soul exception of warhammer. Sept i try to not make it my entire personality
Uh, what
Well. The internet is that chance because I'm not constantly screaming about how much I hate superheros irl
you just literally replied to my message made to have fun talking about superheroes and reply with something negative you sound like someone who has a Twitter account that complaints 24/7, and you sound like someone who can't have fun
Could you elaborate
Theres literally nothing to elaborate.
it says itself
Fun is a buzzword for when you can't actually describe what you like about something
Buzzword???
of course you think it's a buzzword
yeah that is um
I don't understand why people take issue with a statement that tame
Its not that its tame its more that its exaggerated as dil said and kinda dumb.
its like walking to a mall and shouting "MONEY SUCKS"
you very much say something people are gonna disagree with you on then throw a weird rant about it
Also because the first black super hero has lighting powers
He is dead
wasnt Black Panther the first black superhero in american comic books
Black lighting
yeah
yeah ill stick to T'challa thanks
It's just brainrot that lowers people's standards man. Get over it!
You can literally say this to any form of media
Was he black?
and so people can't have fun is what you're saying?
I thought the first black panther was a white guy
I might be mixing it up with a different character
If that's how you wanna interpret it i guess
yes
im 99% sure T'challa was the first black superhero at least in mainstream media
its at least what google says
you are one sad person if you think having fun is brainrot
yeah seems to be the first one
Maybe good art should be meaningful instead of just triggering serotonin release
no one likes him
Just a thought
Nether do i
Art is varied.
Maybe everyone is different than you and not everything revolves around your views
not everything can be golden lol
ever thought of it that way?
yeah he's not the first i'm sure
yea
it's black panther
yeah its panther
like 99% sure
RIP chad boseman
RIP to a real one
good man
Yeah but I was thinking that BP was white at first, but it was falcon
yeah Falcon was it, now i realised lol
Wait never mind he was still black
how wud yall react if there was a deadpool like space marine
like has deadpools mannerisms
Don't care if GW make something like that i wouldn't be surprised
but wud it fit
Oh well
I would hate it
Anyway I had a terrible idea to make an all ratling guard army
just like imagine when he gets shot hes like "AW DICKBUISCITS"
id rather die thanks
That kind of shit doesn't belong in warhammer
yeah that sounds fun but trusting everyone there is not gonna go well let's be honest
because well they have a notorious reputation of stealing
tbf the orks break the tone anyway
no orks are too proud and ego headed to serve the imperium
“The 15th regiment of the Rolanda Rats”
they think that only other orks should lead
no i mean the deadpool personality
eh most of the time their personalities are too brutal and that guy would just be considered a mad boy and move on with life
“Thier planet is all ratlings, so we didn’t really have be a choice”
Especially strong warp storm

accurate
theres a chapter dont know if its fan made or real but theyre called the phoenixes or smthin
Because GW needed a darkest hour for the primaris to save the imperium from
are they still a thing
So they could sell bigger space marine toys
They weren’t involved
Legion of the damed?
flame falcxon ye
Fire hawks yes
were they canon
Legion of the Damned is canon
Their flame falcons, who got mixed up with them all the time, are also still kicking
A book got them mixed up too
fell kinda bad that they faced grey knights thinking theyre fire was a blessing
emperors blessing
got absolutely shit on
what?
The flame falcons have the backstory of the fire hawks
OH IM DUMB
Okay so
It’s either the flame falcons OR the fire hawks that LoD
Fire hawks disappeared in the warp by accident
Flame falcons had a tendency to explode
i read somewhere where when they first combusated they thought it was the emperors gift or whatever once they came back from a mission they were greeted by grey knights and....we all know how that wud go
Flame falcons were hunted down and they ran away to the warp
grey knights were huntin em i think
Anyway rip the chapter with the best color scheme
yea dude
the phoenix thing is dope
was the Baal saga a good book?
The badab war’s lore in a thing called the imperial armour
id honstly shit myself if the blood angel next to me just looks at me and calls me horus
Which was like, a book of special units with rules
And had a campaign
And every single chapter had a reason to attack the other
does the black rage have any buffs?
like does it make the blood angels faster stronger or durable?
They go insane so yes
you literally see everyone as Horus, so basically you its a boost in everything
debuff in mental faculties tho
makes em vampiric right
yes
rough
we have space vamp and space werewolfs
but i mean killing by far one of the most kindest primarchs tjhe rage is reasonable
Yes but the Red Thirst and Black Rage are different no?
The "going insane" part is the Black Rage
yes
The Red Thirst is just them casually drinking Kool Aid
Red thirst is the requirement for blood
thats the fucked up part
The Black rage is going insane
they usually have it controlled tho
as in having tithes from the people
strongest human iveseen in 40k by far has gotta be yarrick
At least it's just blood
Not whatever that one Successor was doing with eating their fallen Battle Brothers
they have done that
i think
IIRC Blood Angels only usually resort to drinking blood
They don't actively cannibalize their own, at elast if they can help it
Some blood angel massacre a whole site full of refugees for blood
which was and still is a big nono
as good as cannabalism imma be real
what if they do in the future
scary stuff
Cannibal is still seen as a big nono by the imperium
so most likely death
surprised they havent been approached by grey knights
cuz i feel like cannibalism wud be heresy
The grey knights are used for more daemonic things
Hell the grey knights are supposed to be secret
they are strongf af dude
Oh look I found the cannibal Space Marines
if you know of them, your getting your mind wiped or the walls will have a fresh coat of paint dude
It's a Salamanders Successor Chapter

yea this is what i was talkin about
mood
irony is mad
Tbf they took their sweet ass time rediscovering them
That same amount of time being left alone is the reason Lorgar became a glorified Jehova's Witness

lorgar and angron gotta be the siblings who throw a tantrum when they dont get what they want
Ngl it do be kinda badass thoe
Shame we barely get anything Salamanders in media, let alone their Successors being featured
ok leve angron i mean hes messed up but loorgar
salamanders are real gigachads
I mean the butcher nails put in work on Angrons brain
leaving angron i mean hes a piece of work
Tbh both are justified
Angron wanted to die and get the sweet release of death in glorious battle, and Big E didnt even let him have that cuz "MUH TOOL"
Lorgar had a devotion level of 220% believing that Big E was the truth and prepared to do everything in his name, yet Big E rebuffed and destroyed his life work cause he was too slow and "MUH ATHEISM"
ffs this is why I main Chaos
fr fr

Better become a Chaos Spawn than ending up as corpse starch all in the name of a dessicated hypocrite
(in the name of all father of diseases, the father and creator of the discord mods and the purest definition of never touching a woman,,,,,NURGLE I GIV MY SOUL TO YOUU) basically what chaos servants worship like
tahts some self reflection right there
Big E could simply just say “wow buddy, that’s really cool! It’s really nice how much you care about me, but you know how I feel about the G word”
gay?
And things would have probably turned out much differently
the fucks the G word
oh damn i messed up bad
calling the emperor gay is valid tho
yall wudnt know what he did witth malcador in his me time
Also bro could have just waited to pick up Angron, or hell, just offered to help instead of being the strange man who just teleported you onto his ship at your greatest moment
Or he could have teleported all his men with him
there can only be one primarch
But HH is a tragedy
true
They’re meant to be stupid
kinda respect erda for splitting them so that they never got to face war at that tender age
Yeah but big E could have been like “I see how much your brothers in arms matter to you, and I want to earn your trust, so here, I’ll rescue them from the gladiator pit and I’ll drop them off at the nearest space bus stop”
i retract my statement cuz i forgot that alpharius and omegon are two primarchs of the same chapter
but the thousand sons are just a rabbit hole i dont wanna go down
literally all of em thought they werew alpharius or omagon
annoying shit
You mean alpha legion?
yea sorry
Thousand sons are shadow wizard money gang
my bad
Didn't the Blood Angels do this as the Revenant Legion before Sanguinius gave them a stern I'm not mad I'm just disappointed talking to?
refugees
i believe
Mate could've done what he did with the AdMech and spun it in a way where Lorgar is still a zealot but instead he modifies it a bit so it is acceptable for all parties
Instead Big E decides to nuke a city all to teach him a lesson or smth
legalize nuclear war Psyker rights

One of Big Es biggest failures was not fully informing atleast Magnus of all people of the true nature of the warp
Trazyn is my favorite character now
Im a staunch Nemesor Zandrekh fan
Blud expects his sons to reject smth they dont even know exists
Thats the equivalent of teaching your dog to bite thieves without knowing what a thief is
And ends up biting the local cop
oh hey you found the charming kleptomaniac robot
He's such a gremlin and I love him
i mean yeah he is Goated
Honestly all the Necron higher ups are based as fuck
He's effectively a necron rogue trader but more chaotic
"You can't steal from the dead"
"I can, it's called archeology"
I love this robot boi
Are there any Necrons who are just chill to hang out with?
I saw this video of orcs in total warhammer using the song "Saftey Dance"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qY2neGD9uI
I decided the song could be significantly more "orky" so I set out to recreate the song as an ork-metal song and video.
oh boy this video. The song was the easy part, I had no idea what to do most of the video and had to go back...
I love this song lol
As a human? probably Zandrekh or maybe trazyn if you get mindshackled
Oi see boyz of green
Red wartrukkz, too
'Umies go 'boom'
For me an' you
An' Oi fink to myself
"What a wondaful WAAAGH!"
Oi see Marines of blue
An' bikes of white
Dose beaky boyz they
Sure know 'ow to fight
An' Oi fink to myself,
"What a wondaful WAAAGH!"
Our stormboyz an' deffkoptas
So orky in da sky
Blast away da faces
Of 'umies goin' by
Oi s...
This one is better
I just like orkish metal
You hear the ost for Shootas, Blood and Teef?
its one of my favorites
underrated
I just find it hilarious that the song Shootas, Blood and Teef has nearly be exact same riff and tempo as Ace of Spades
By Motörhead
Big E definitely warned Magnus if you go by the 'A Thousand Sons' novel
Magnus would've ignored it r egardless
That's kinda his thing
sorry was taking a nap
lol no worries
Man. Some players were expecting so much about the Bio Titan that came along with SM2’s recent update. One guy said he wanted to see the Hierophant duke it out with a Warhound Class Titan.
Damn ok
LOL
Idk the mission was fun, I mean who doesn’t love being burned alive by gloop

but yeah I mean its literally a walking scene entity setpiece
idk why 40k fans expect so much from this stuff and forget games have things like uh
you know, budget
even then Mechanicus ain’t gonna waste shit on something like that. But also, I think he was confusing it with an Imperator class because he described it as being massive it can surpass a Hive city wall and has the “cathedral on it”
I Gave him the unamused SpongeBob expression face when I read that

‘Sides that, I did like this new operation we got, even if it’s only one, reminded me of my Destiny Raiding days except you don’t want to hang yourself with the Ethernet cord connecting to your console, after getting insomnia from wasting hours on a single session
or like, "practicality"
He's probably thinking about this cover art:
Or the scene in Storm of Iron where titans use their siege ramps to unload Iron Warriors onto the citadel's walls
I love when people use that art has proof then realise the Imperator barely even goes past some spires and buildings on it.
Also, news flash at 20: buildings can vary in height!
Honestly I was too busy staring at the cover art

I do love some of the HH art though
It's subtly less grimdark, which is a nice change
Yeah like the Imperator is about the lower half of the Empire States building then people say "thats not big enough"
and im like
Have you ever stood even next to a normal apartment building of 7 floors

Yeah people just got no sense of how big even normal buildings are
you're assuming they've left their parents' basement

Honestly I just fucking love this coverart in general
It's great! Do we know who did it?
Y'know how back in the 1920's, people waved goodbye to cruise ships and shit?
Feels like that
except that they're waving goodbye to themselves
lmao
misunderstanding the scaling of objects is a common occurrence in the universe of 40k. but yeah, they're not really all that big when you put it in perspective.
also the brighter colors
most 40k artwork in general is dark and grungy
which tbf fits 40k
but I like how it's brightly colored, with cool shadows to contrast
Niel Roberts, he does every single 30k book cover art
you can tell from like
the almost toy-esque texture/environment
need to find more of his artwork god damn
Google it, he has a shit ton of stuff
Wait, he's done every single one?!
Yep.
Man signed on for 10 books and now has payday for at least a decade
Master of Mankind

Niel Roberts made this back in 2008, for "Mechanicum"
"I got to indulge my epic scale dreams a bit in this piece – throwing in an Imperial Termite here and a Colossus robot there. I had such a great time rifling through my old Citadel catalogues."
That tech priest is packing god damn
I feel like humans in general have a terrible sense of scale, especially without seeing something in person and only relying on number
This is very much a fact yeah
i had to sit through a small seminar of it when i was in my architecture university years
our tutor wasted no energy belittling people like that too
People don't even realize how insanely big a 7-8 foot person would be let alone how broad they'd be.
Now make that a 20 foot tall mech. Now do a 70 meter tall giant mech.
Most people have probably never even met a 7 foot tall person let alone one whose not super lanky, which is understandable since they're not common and ones who are built even less so.
Yeah hence my 8 floor apartment example earlier. When you look at something on a draft or picture you got no idea how big even the most simple structures get.
like people thinking a Warhound being as tall as the foot of the Statue of Liberty is "small" prob never stood next to the actual thing itself lol
Also considering how fast they can book it and turn and shit.
I feel like people miss how insane this stuff would look in motion.
Even SM2 has to seriously slow down marines going in full locomotion largely because its a game with balance choices and movement which is hard to track isn't very engaging to watch or play.
Knights are similarly crazy with how fast they move and do things.
I wouldnt really say "seriously slow down", Death of Hope even unofficial kinda showed how goofy and bad matrix-agent tier marine motions would look to your usual audience, the SM2 marines are pretty Astartes™️ animation wise which is better, them being superhumanly fast has always been shoddy/wank at best, same with Knights/Titans.
They should move quick but when you read so many passages of "not even mortal eyes could track them" it gets a bit silly
the Astartes animation is how I always wanted marines to move so i kinda agree
i always hated the dumbass Flash-tier superspeed shit some authors have to constantly mention
like this is much better and more intimidating
KEK
Im not against them having superhuman reflexes tho FYI its more just the constant mention of their High Noon-ass abilities lol
To me space marines will always be just walking fridges
Thats how they should be ye
Based off numerous book descriptions and lore on their ability to haul ass or move fast I would definitely say they are, we see them casually sprint 60mph in some appearances, and fight in close quarters at speeds that are difficult to track.
Which is largely because its a game and its hard to make something that fast looking and also keep the weight going, as well as you need to balance it, but they can definitely attack much more rapidly or run much faster than we see in the game. Which is fine, but its defintiely the case.
They're always described as looking lumbering until they start moving and then they're bizarrely fast.
Yeah so its goofy.
That was the point yes lol
its much better when they are lumbering but still being fast
Ye
its just to make them more cooler to the reader tho which is fine
Honestly I always thought that Space Marines would occasionally do some anime shit like running on walls
Fuck no lol
Extreme speed is always hard to show in media because we as people need to be able to track it
The speed of an Astartes is the equivalent of a High School coach who looks big and slow, but can sprint in a snap when they see you acting like an ass
get that shit outta here
Seriously though
I always thought it terrifying to imagine them just
That is also a very apt comparison
Probably gonna use that in the future

Especially if you're making a more realistic media.
Like imagine running away from an SM.
And then they just standard there
And then they suddenly do the most advanced parkour
That is also goofy
Just to catch up to you
just make them run and bust through walls
They don't really need to do that though, they go through stuff more than over.
Marines making parkour is like
such a dumb image
i hate it
unless its a Riever
or a scout lol
They climb stuff by litterally just slamming their hand into it to make handholds and that kinda thing.
Yeah I think it's mostly a mixture of both
wait it was hulk nvm
yeah that lol

Welcome to the official YouTube channel for The Off...
Like if it's a weak wall, they'll just bust through it like this
But for some harder walls/obstacles. They'll parkour
Relatively

Weak
So like, the thing is Parkour is inherenty kinda extra
Theyd just climb it, they don't need to wall run.
Space Marines are a bit extra in general tbh
They can littlerally just make hand holds by smashing their fingers into the wall.
This is Mortarion on Barabus but similar idea, we see marines do stuff like this a lot.
He would've looked cooler if he kept that fit tbh
Just climbing sheer cliffs or walls because they have the strength
Imagine them just climbing extremely fast
Like it's in such quick succession
They probably can tbh.
If you're that strong climbing up something fast really isn't that hard, mostly our issue as humans is we lack the core and upper body strength.
Speed climbers can scale up stuff fast as fuck too.
Yeah like
On top you just hear the sound of rocks breaking (due to them jabbing their fingers in) as the SM climbs in quick succession.
The problem largely comes from their weight
some books do acknowledge Marines cant even walk on buildings with basements or weak materials
Being a marine removes a lot of the potential isssues speed climbers would have.
Can make your own hand holds
It was like something straight out of a sitcom when I read that portion of text
it would be quite effective to dig traps with a cover that only tolerates a certain weight so humans can pass but marines fall right thru
How to make an anti SM fortress
Step one. Have most of the hallways be human sized.
Step two, have the floors be made out of wood
