I don't do it to fit in.
I'm just widely impulsive, and I haven't cared about fitting in as long I am not a creep it doesn't matter.
You have 2 yil
19... so young
I dont feel 36. What is adulthood anyway
https://vxtwitter.com/tyronestash3/status/1763092823635583303 why does frieren get the weirdest crossover art
Time to make some Dungeon Meshi art

My hungry ass could NOT be an adventurer
I distrust most dungeon meshinfans
Something the mangakas artstyle…it attracts weirdos
It's a fun manga though
(The mangaka to my knowledge is fine, just their artstyle is like looking straight at a jaguar at night)
Oh i dont mind the manga
Its the homestuck in me
Certain artstyles just like summon really weird people
It’s like how when you see someone draw a mouth
The mouth are very simplistic though
No i don’t mean dungeon meshis mouths
I mean there are some artists who draw mouths a certain way
And its like wait hold up
Always fucks me up
Im gonna double check who I follow on twitter so I dont accidentally stumble upon dungeon meshi weirdos
I don’t want this neat little thing being too
Too messed up
Too late.
Dilara is gonna like and retweet all weird dunmeshi stuff so it appears on fyp

The natural enemy of Georgians, anything from the water
Is that about Darktide
My rolls are bad
continues to use shitty gambling system that is obviously broken
Omg i got no resources now
That's grim
It very much is
On par with old folks selling all their homes to live and literally die on cruises
Yeah ngl that gif depresses me more than the state of this game
Aint my country and aint my problem tho
As long as I can go on darktide, shoot my gun a bit
Shout as every single character
Im all okay
Do you get depressed by the state of the game ?
I'm watching the english dub atm
I like the elf
Eh just irked thats about it
Fair
Irked is quite accurate, aye.
oh thanks
Annoyed in a way that you aren't forgetting but it's not severe that you can't live with it
^
Iirc it's from fabric/cloth making
Yes
Nope
The rock band ?
they also made the opening cinematic for Warhammer age of reckoning iirc
or some other warhammer fantasy video game
but they really started to be noticed around the time Halo Wars came out
So is the word bearers the only chaos faction that see the chaos gods as like the truth or some shit? Like a god to worship. Not just a tool for power
Chaos faction, no. Legion? Probably
What the hell is this studio
Their track record is insane
Never realized they got around this much
yeah plenty of characters from myriad of legions do believe in them as gods and worship them but Word Bearers are probably the only legion to agree to that across the board
I thought Typhus did it for the power?
the OG one?
pfft hell no. the average chaos cult absolutely worships them as gods.
so do the scabs and dregs from darktide, in fact
I see like most chaos space marines use them as a means for power and eventually immortality
yeah. chaos space marines, the original bunch of traitors anyway, were from a time when nobody worshipped any gods. the emperor had outlawed religion after he seized power and started the great crusade.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JglnSrfJtyQ this is the original one
Watch the brutal confrontation between the Empire and Chaos as a Warrior Priest of Sigmar and a massive Chaos Warrior literally slug it out in the vicious finale.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKOhzfkCdbY and this is the newer one
This new cinematic for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning thrusts viewers into the heat of RvR as the forces of Order battle to stop the marauding hordes of Destruction from taking the capital city of Altdorf. Visit http://www.warhammeronline.com
the word bearers lost the plot in that regard and started worshipping things again but the other legions took part in the heresy for very different, non-religious reasons, and they did not see the ruinous powers as gods
the newer one was by them for sure, unsure about the first one but it looks similar in style
I missed the Star Wars discussions because I was out buying shoes
This is why I never leave the house
I see. So in terms of chaos space marines it’s just word bearers? Cus like daemon primearchs got tricked into worshipping them or are too mad to even talk.
And I don’t see how typhus is devout follower and not just using Nurgle as a means
yeah they might have made both
daemon primarchs being too mad to talk is news to me?
Isn’t angron just RAAGHHHH
generally, a mortal that ascends to daemonhood (daemon prince) does not lose their sanity or consciousness (insofar as they still had any), as far as I know. I am not aware of the daemon primarchs having lost their minds beyond just being generally depraved
oh well that's Angron.
and even he has slightly coherent moments
Real talk though, how the hell can a pair of shoes be 40% off and still cost £70, that's money I could have spent buying virtual clothes in Darktide
yeah he was one note angry man for basically the whole of the crusade afaik
butcher nails did a real number on him
But yeah what’s the deets with typhus? How’s he different than most chaos marines in terms of using the gods as a means
big E himself didnt help matters much ether
Big E was being a cretin with Angron's situation.
the way he handled the shithole of a world Angron was stuck on was just one massive clusterfuck of a mistake
Well. Apparently the planet conceded to the Emperor before Angron.
Typhus absorbed an entire Nurgle plague into his body and was significantly transformed by it. he's pretty unique in that regard
So he did not want to level a city because his son.
is it still canon big e kidnapped him and left his friends to die?
Yep afaik.
classic Emps: fucking up massively whenever ordinary human emotional considerations are involved
his mortal weakness
ngl that whole story is just proof of how badly working backwards in lore can go
He learned his emotions tad too late.
I actually think that every time big E has to fuck up on an emotional intelligence front to make the lore work his character becomes better
Eh. Emps is a plot device, not a character per se.
even from a non-emotional POV it made no sense to ally with the local slave-lords and piss his son off like that dude had the planet by the balls and could have made any demands he wanted and gotten them
he's much more interesting as the ultimate transhuman, so divorced from mortal feelings that he was always doomed to fail in his goal of creating the ultimate galaxy-spanning empire of Reason(TM) and Logic(TM)
I like how he dealt with Logar tho. If you wanna serve a god, this is what happens when you serve a fps. And forced the legion to kneel as their city got obliterated.
THAT WAS SO ATUPID.
And what? A whole fucking century after Word Bearers been conquering that way?
"let me flex my god-like powers to prove to you i am not a god"
Great fucking reaction time!
Archonite the Gigachad: Monarchia was no punishment. It was a test my father and brothers failed.

and hell that only happened because Lorgar and his legion where dragging their feet iirc
The quote God is real, he just hates us goes hard fr tho. Or whatever it was, something like that
Yep. Because instead of razing cities to the ground he took his time to convince.
Or Logars “I have only ever wanted the truth”
Honestly I’m split between death guard and word bearers as my favorite faction
Eeeeeh.
Word Bearers are honestly great
ngl the irony of Lorgar's legion is still amazingly well done to me. a legion of iconoclasts becoming a legion of fanatical zealots
They are not. Were. Now simply bunch of mustache twirling villains.
XD
They still do it out of devotion though which is great
Eh since the better characterisation in the Heresy series it has gotten better in the modern 40k as well
Honestly I hope we see Logar back in the setting, he made dumb fucking mistakes but most characters have
But they do be twirling still
True
and in true believer fashion when he didnt get the answers he wanted he rejected the answers
Did he reject chaos?
nah
he rejected the emperor for chaos because the emperor kept telling him there are no gods and he wasnt one
I think he’s way better though. Mortarian can die in a hole. It’s a shame he’s nurgles primearch
But thhat imperial truth was a lie as there were gods
Lorgar at least had a reason to feel betrayed.
Mortarion is simply a bitchy sack of shit.
depends on how you define "god" really
And not even Nurgle's fav.
Not to@mention the big E is essentially a god himself now so
Nurgles fav is typhus right
Yup.
Bile could easily be right on the money and the "dark gods" are literally nothing but super powerful talking fart clouds
Mortarion is great, love me some sad little bitch who caused all the shit he's gone through to himself
What does typhus do that makes him so devoted and earn nurgles favor?
Imagine being cucked on fav spot by your son who tricked you into chaos.
He orchestrated the fall of Death Guard.
Yeah but I mean aside from that, does he pray to Nurgle? Is he looking to please Nurgle because he wants to help his god? Or because he wants more power
didnt he fuse with a daemon?
I endorse word bearers and Nurgle
Heretics don't function the same, ritualistic wacko cults that summon demons
Nurgle guys are like antivax stay at home mothers coughing on people
Or khornate berserkers have no time for incense burning they bash heads instead
So no point in comparing typhus and bile and mortarion and lorgar in terms of chaos worship
Typhus wants to be #1 in nurgle's favorite son list. Because grandpa loves lists and of course he has one for his favorites
The guy's title is traveler because he's always on the move spreading plague somewhere. His body is hosting destroyer hive.
Does he need to pray daily too?
Bile goes full atheist while his ship is a wraithbone construct made with slaanesh's song
Also Typhus is literally Nurgles chosen warrior
Him existing is the closest you would get to nurgle
I completely misread that as "He exists in the closet"
Just saying these guys do way more for chaos gods than a nerd shouting prayers in his tower for 10k years
Idk typhus seems pretty nurglite
RIP
Technical, mechanical question about space marine armors:
How does it work with the enhanced strength and speed? There isn't much, if at all, in terms of hydraulics on the armor, platings are too close to the body. Maybe on the shoulders, maybe legs.
Is it safe to assume that the synth skin under ceramite platings work as a second layer of muscles that make it work?
its the black carapace
its basically a neural muscle-suit under the armor
like most science fiction it makes it like a second skin and gives you more mobility and makes it less clunky to work with
also dont think too hard about it because space marine armor is very goofy and impractical lol
Rule of cool > realism
Wait, wasn't the black carape under the skin? I know it connects neural systems to the armor system, but what is the external layer that receives neural commands?
Yeah it is
i did say muscle-suit
guess was a bit too unspecific and didnt say its under the skin whoops

The problem with sci fy it's actually way simpler to conceptualize something than explaining it
Like the gravy gun
you can understand what it does
but you can't explain how it works
The Gravy gun seems self explanatory
It's honestly been described so many ways
It must make the gravy somehow
and then have some means of heating it up
Because no one wants cold gravy
how do you shoot gravity
The most prominent being a cybernetic enhance that attaches to the bone subdurmally
its just an under-muscle suit
If it was just a muscle suit then Sisters of Battle could wear it
not much beyond that
The black carrapace is the black carrapace, and does what the black carrapace is supposed to do
But they're explicitly stated as being unable due to not having black carapace
The Everseer assassians have muscle suits
Fucking Cyrsis style stuff
It was a plot point with Cawl that the Astartes project had trouble with the carapace being rejected by marines 🤔
Pretty much this, its not that complex
But nah. The black carapace is an implant, it's like a exosuit that goes under their skin
Forever sad that my RT character didn't get the chance to go all Fabius Bile with the Black Carapace.
You see little ports on space marine skin
😔
You said it was a worn muscle suit
bruh
It's not. It's surgically implanted into the marines
I literally said its an under-muscle suit
ive been into 40k for 12 years, im pretty sure i know what it is lol
Whew boy. Throwing out time like it matters
It's their pajamas
She was unfortunately executed before full frontal biologis heresy could properly ensue.
It connects a neuro-fiber-musculoid link to your megathropic hiblidator so you can turn the armour into a third skin

you joke but its basically described as more or less as such
science-mumbo jumbo-goes-under-skinno
💀
To think all they had to do to make the Carapace work for regular humans was to inverse the lateral phase inductors by bypassing the regulatory flow indicators with a subdermal transverse polymer graft
It's simple when you think about it
They just had to solve the Beetlejuice fallacy
Easily resolved by layering the sub-molecular monofilament in an alternating helical structure with an embedded dispersion field
So all they need is a screwdriver and duct tape
See I always thought the black carapace was just a really good tan
With some studs to get that tan even under the skin

Studs are there so the armor won't chafe
9/10 space marines suffer from irritated skin and nasty rashes after each campaign
The Black carapace is actually designed to constantly oil up and spray tan the Marine so at any moment they can strip off and reveal the peak Mr universe build
The custodes have this as well
What was she thinking?
Custodes have genetic therapy and they don't need spray tan, their sweat gives them naturally bronze sheen
That's the superior bio-engineering at work
I see
Efficient lubrication so their skin remains strong and durable
What would happen if several blanks were introduced into a WAAAGH! Or they were otherwise cut off from theyre gestalt psychic energy?
Does the shadow in the warp do this to them?
Sisters of Silence were used to a certain degree during the war of the beast
Since all “magic” as it were is linked to the soul, i suppose the anti-soul effects of blanks do counteract it
Someone can confirm it i guess
If they have the books
Is this place Ulgo write backstory?
A small price to pay for the grind
You nasty 😆

I LEGIT did not expect the "smell of her own shit" line that it made me do a double-take
Yes.
Would orks become more dejected without exposure to the WAAAAAGH! Energy? Or would it not matter so long as they’re fighting?
Nurgle corruption?
I always enjoyed the aspect of how clearly addicting pilot a titan is and how even when they’re losing their mind they still just wanna do one more march
One more Engine Kill
Or is this regular operation?
A mix of both
the shit/stains is more her just....
not taking care of herself
at all lmao
People really underesitmate how much people would love controlling giant robots
Subnautica moment
The way it’s described is has to be the most exhilarating feeling ever. Youre a god on the battlefield, you’re merged with with ancient beast and controlling it.
You can literally feel its engines and weapons heating up and firing
Yeah even in this passage she says a missile hit her head
not the titan's
love the little way of speaking difference
I love the one part in Titanicus where Gearhart has to control like six warlords at once under his will. It’s described so painfully, especially since the whole book he’s clearly at the last stages of his career and starting to lose himself.
“It is normal when first piloting a Prawn suit to feel a sense of limitless power. Prawn operators receive weeks of training to counteract this phenomenon. You will have to make do with self-discipline.”
Do traitor vessels use Navigators?
i know some traitor legions can just use warp magic to do the same
Yes they do.
Its a matter of if you can get your hand on one or just
"Hey can you make some fleshsack on the wall that births out a Diet Navigator, thanks."
Some of them use sorcerers instead
kek
Or other means but yeah a lot use navigators
so Navigators are kinda only a imperium thing?
There’s traitor or rogue houses
ah
They are mainly imperium but what he said ^
got cha
They were basically around/post Dark Age of Tech as cartels giving services before becoming noble houses and finding a monopoly
that makes sense
The Imperium happened ot be THE biggest concentration of human civillization so 99% of them just devoted their services to it

What’s everyone’s favorite crime in the imperium
So Necromunda has like tech smugglers
And like
What kind of tech do you smuggle that you can sell to under hivers
The type that commits extreme ammounts of violence
Also the spire (where upper class live)’s black market is basically Walmart for illegal tech
And shit
Like non criminal gangs can easily find it
Parts of machines, vehicles, weapons especially.
When people are desperate they'll try to sell you anything, you need to be the smart one to know the difference and what to buy/sell
Oh yeah people get executed for using non mechanicus parts right
Uhhh very much depends
There do even exists ex-mechanicus techpriests that can be vendors too
its very much like blackmarket trading IRL, you kinda need to be careful with who you pick as clients lol
or well even buy from
Depends on what it’s for
If it’s a battery for a flashlight or a light bulb who gives a shit
If it’s like the internals of a plasma gun

Yeah you will know you are in deep shit if even your vendor is like "Get rid of this and act like you never found it"

Yeah
There’s a lot of grey trade in the imperium
Especially on hive worlds
It’s illegal technically but literally no one gives a shit about it
Until it becomes problematic
Yeah like most of the time the Enforcers will either never find it because they are fucking lazy or just bribed/dont give a shit.
Arbites meanwhile dont even care as long as you arent affecting the tithe and someone snitches.
The average tech priest on a hive world also won’t care about all the super benign minor tech heresy most likely as well
Since they’re probably an enginseer
Stuck with a shit job
Yep lol
Kayex was a good addition to Darktide to highlight the difference between a tech priest like Hadron and an enginseer. That dude is so devoted to maintaining technology that it causes him physical pain to interface with it when it's being misused lmao. Deadass hyperfixated
There's worse jobs though. Steady employment and all that.
can you even be unemployed as a member of the mechanicus
I'd manage it somehow
I don’t think that’s ever been show
Sentenced to cleaning servitors
"Servitor B369 shit itself for the fourth time this week, go clean it broke boy"
🧼 🫷
Who?
The other Admech vocator
That's the one with the vocabulary larger than like a rhinoceros yeah
You can be directly kicked out and shunned
Its between that or execution
you "crime" can literally be just "Yeah we found you kinda lacking and the priesthood doesn't think you got what it takes. Give us your bionics and get out."
YOU LITERALLY SAID UNEMPLOYED

How to threaten a tech priest
You better shut up or i will update your operating systems to windows 11
If its not a big fish and a small fry pretty easily
AS A PART OF THE MECHANICUS
An unemployed employee
No but you could also be employed as part of an explorator fleet engaging in combat and shit. Lotta enginseer positions don't involve any of that
Can someone describe the lore to me I just watched the first cutscene and got through some of the prologue and I’m so confused
Okay, so we start 10 thousand years ago
uhhhhhhh
It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries The Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.
Yet even in his deathless state, the Emperor continues his eternal vigilance. Mighty battlefleets cross the daemon-infested miasma of the Warp, the only route between distant stars, their way lit by the Astronomican, the psychic manifestation of the Emperor's will. Vast armies give battle in his name on uncounted worlds. Greatest amongst his soldiers are the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines, bio-engineered super-warriors. Their comrades in arms are legion: the Imperial Guard and countless planetary defence forces, the ever vigilant Inquisition and the tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from aliens, heretics, mutants - and worse.
To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
Also yeah rulebooks or general lore introduction vids are better
Core Rulebooks are like the best way to get introduced to the setting
they teach you everything you need to know baseline
about every faction
I can dm you if you have specific questions
I think its hilarious that in the 8e core rule book its the exact same fucking quote
If you want lore summary of the game, you are a citizen of the Imperium who has been arrested for some reason, as such you were on a prison barge destined for god knows where to whatever cruel fate awaited you but are instead inducted into an Inquisitorial warband to wage war against the vile traitors who seek to destroy our glorious Imperium.
except it got changed to 42nd millenium
I can’t say I’ve ever heard them, unless I misremember, is it new?
He's in the Carnival maps
Do you just have this lying on your backpack or something
Carnival stim sabotage mission
Ah
They have any ebook on their device I imagine
If you need to understand the premise better then watch Suicide Squad, it's basically that.
Imperial suicide squad
But which one
There's like
They actually made his use of polka dots as powers kind of sick and kind of horrifying
Have you seen how that s*** melts you
It literally burns/melts through people its great
also him having excess of it and having to puke it out is fucked up
God damn his mother was the worst
Fuck dem kids
Warframe refrence
In what world would you justify someone getting turned into a polka dot spewing killing machine that can shoot polka dots so hot it can melt through steel
To make him a super hero
Do you have any idea how many fictional universes got f***** over because they wanted superheroes
Maybe he like always asked if her phone had games on it at restaurants with a really snotty nose and cried when he didn’t get dessert
Yes
I’m just say, it’s possible he had it coming
Didn't experiment on just him, but his siblings as well
The real crime is his outfit
As if the 36 depressive childhood combo wasn't already painful enough she added the extra salt
my dream had fabius bile in it yesterday
Unfortunate
I have never read any book about him nor thought about him longer than 20 seconds yet still
damn
Lucky
He doesn't get it.
Bro is devious for hitting him with that evangelion meme
lol
how I feel seeing more evangelion memes
Anyone who makes evangelion hospital jokes is on my shit list/hj
Ah that scene
Really does wonders for the mind doesn't it
In the worst way possible
Many say it's the positive way
Do not believe them
I assure you viewers, Shinji ||sexually assaulting someone in a coma|| is essential to the plot
My genuine reaction
Pretty sure Evangelion is one of those animes where the creators absolutely despise their fanbase
lol
One of my favorite things with EVA is people are like
"Oh my god look at all this christian imagery and symbolism it HAS to mean something"
The creator of the series: I just thought it looked cool tbh
"I did it because angels look cool"
Damn they be like 40k fans for real for real
yup
Chainsaw man changing it from Conquest to Control lul
reasoning: Fujimoto thought it fit better
also because he wanted pestilence as well
Fujimoto nurgle fan confirmed
tbf this is gross as hell lol
Like if I remember rightly EVA was intended as a deconstruction of anime and it's tropes by basically showing how actually horrifying a lot of the stuff the fans fetishize actually is, then instead of realising that the fans just fetishized it as well.
Yeah at the end it didnt matter
you know what close enough
EVA "Here is Rei, she is here to show you that your fascination with ultra subservient girls is actually an obsession with an inhuman ideal of a character that lacks personal agency and is actually deeply unhealthy"
Fans "Wow, she's the perfect woman"
People be stupid
I like how Lain had the opposite problem
The whole point of Lain was that it was supposed to address a very specific issue the author percieved in Japanese society in a very particular time period, but it was widely enjoyed and understood internationally for a long time and that frustrates the hell out of him
It was supposed to be nationalistic but everyone related lmao
Lol
It's annoying because I really like Rei and I'll meet other people (it's always guys) who say they do and then I listen to them talk about her for more than 20 seconds and it's just....

You have no idea how many artists have it like that xD
Pretty much.
"Why is everything in 40k gothic"
Lore nerd: bla bla the emperor thought-
40k artists: it just looks cool tbh
Ernest Hemingway had the same thing:
"Tell us, how did you come to the analogy of x?"
"Huh? Oh, I like it! Let's roll with that"
There must be something inherently christian about evangelion
“We thought crosses and crucifixion looked cool lmao”
KEK
I wouldn't mind being crucified
If you survive you get Stigmata
They still don’t crucify the dog along with everyone else in persona 3 reload
I'm fine with a bullet too
Fallout new Vegas reference/j
Hey man, when in Rome
Do as Hegelian dialectics do
lmfao
I love how you can tell its him since they even covered his casting chair's text on the back lol
There's a list on the desk behind you and his name has a smudge over it so you can't read it
Yeah like
they 100% knew some people would get upset lmao
thats what you get for causing the crack epidemic you piece o fshit

Reagan was my favourite character in mob paycho
since this video is getting views please subscribe i do other things
Shame Wolfenstien 2 plays horribly balance wise
For the new wolfenstien games the first one is still the best
Average response from someone who is not from Arizona hearing someone from Arizona
I'm eh on it
You’re way too squishy early and once you get more stats the game makes enemies deal more damage
Like literally what?
On the one hand I appreciate it a lot more with it's messaging nowadays
On the other my guns feel floaty and my pistol's iron sights don't work
I’m in the power armor and I’m less tanky then in the first game
And then once you get the stolen Nazi super soldier body you’re squishier then the first game and the power armor
Like ??????
Do you get to shoot Hitler in the nuts like in that one sniper game
You get to curb stomp him
You get to stomp his fucking skull in
There’s an achievement for it as well
Good Enough
Now granted all the Nazis in the room kill you because you’re undercover
I would prefer to kick him in between the nuts though
But you gotta do it
Sniper Elite 4.
It’s literally free
Also another thing
They had a lot of special interactions/environmental stuff in game 1 with like sleeping guards and shit
1 nut, as a matter of fact.
He. He.
did not have to remember that Tarreth
That's all mostly just gone in 2
You are most welcome.
I'm strapping a rock to a lightning rod and hitting you with it during a thunderstorm
The hatchet is way more satisfying then the knife
Tbh
I love the executions with it
Wolfenstien Youngblood also has some great animation work for the new hatchet and knife takedowns
What an oddly specific retaliation... I like it!
me returning to my first space marien chatper i wrote
Me staying with my first home brew chapter for 8 years despite making so many others since
so angry my favorite chatper i made was the first one
i would make a space marine chapter but i don't know what to give them the right idea with
do i make them sane or do i make them killing machines
I was planning to call them the Adamantium Buffalos or some shit
Have them like specialize in bull rushing tactics
while also being nice to people
Steers (another word for Buffalo i think, or Bulls?) of Adamantium
That's the name for a Neurtered male cattle
That does not help much but thanks
I guess marines are neutered
My chapter’s home world is a magic bullshit purple star and they believe in star reading and work with the Ordo Astra
to be honest my own specialized homebrew army is an ork clan
that specializes in rescue operations and mercenary work
Orky-lances
yeah they will forcefully and aggressively save someone and steal something from them as payment and dip
Lads I've just witnessed something horrific.
Someone on reddit claimed that wisp (a character from the game warframe) could solo a custodes
And honestly I can't help but agree. She can make a portal to the center of a star and direct that energy directly
going purely off her wiki and official site articles, yeah, easily beats a custodes
I mean, that's also a major thing with custodes
they're brutally powerful, but can't deal with supernatural threats
there's is a warframe fast enough that just him running around the planet is enough to obliterate the atmosphere
That's just one of the simpler ones
Warframes are very VERY strong
I've just started a full on argument of a debate with some of my friends about the topic and the big question is how the Tenno and warframes would do if placed in 40k.
This is assuming a group of 100 tenno, each with access to every warframe (one at a time).
This also assumes the void and warp are different places and psykers cannot disrupt transference
Pretty well
Diversity of Warframe abilities and the devastation they can cause is one of the reasons why they are a prime attack force
Better access to weapons too
My stance is that they'd hold their own but be kinda like the Tau. A thorn in the side yes, but not big enough to worry about for most factions
Honestly they'd probably hold a role similar to what they have in game now. Rapid hit and runs without holding major ground anywhere
I feel like the Tenno are something to worry about for most factions.
Too efficient id say
they would have an easier time in 40K
Most often the most threatening stuff factions can throw at them they can find a way to easily shut down
There is also the chance they work as mercenaries. Since they already do that for the grineer and corpus
I am trying desperately to make this DEX barbarian work in 5e rip
a dex barbarian?
yeah
Lore accurate
is it home brew?
No, using only official rules
yeah that sounds like a doozy
There is an eventual plan to dip into rogue, and the ancestral guardian subclass focuses on debuffing enemies and protecting allies
So it could work, I'm just going to have to avoid most base barbarian features
And it won't be super useful until like, level 4 (to get ancestral guardian and 1 rogue level)
The imagery of a barbarian that is not physically strong but just goes to the shadow and stabs you is certainly something
Oh no, the idea is they're an elf who trained their mind to not feel pain or emotion, and to not respond at all to the idea of "murder". They just go into a trance, calmly kill everything in front of them, and then completely repress it.
Sidestepping swords, brushing off wounds, that kind of thing. They don't really realize they've been hurt until hours later.
them just entering rage is just them going into trance is what I'm getting
Yeah, pretty much. Pure ego death.
You guys wonder if the concept of beauty exists for ogryns and catachans?
Like they're both just so muscly
I'm sure it does. They're still human.
Yeah...but what is beautiful for them?
I mean a mommy ogryn and daddy ogryn apparently exists
As for catachans, muscles bar may be the only thing going for them
Look at the way people in homer were described. They were big, muscular, outcasts. Their beauty was in their martial prowess, their sheer strength. It's what inspired the ripped guys in all the rennaissance art, but the actual text is more like "strong fat" powerlifters.
It's not even a super alien idea, just one our culture doesn't appreciate much.
Sbould also note there is very much art of hot catachans
yeah
it's not the most surprising because well every imperium faction has one
guard mechanicus
space marines somehow
I won't speak for men, not my thing, but "the biggest, strongest guy you've ever seen" is definitely a lot of people's type
yeah it has that appeal, probably what makes Halsin from BG 3 so popular
Getting some Ripley from aliens vibes from her
Metal Gear Solid exists for a reason
The same reason why the Catachan exist
I mean broly guys is more recent natural body building is way different
So a war mask?
Very similar! but it's all done through meditation.
Yes please do
What’s the basic lore of the game? I have no idea they are very confusing with story telling in this game
That’s literally Ripley
I think Darktide basically assumes you know a bit about 40k.
What specifically is confusing you?

The basic idea is that humanity are religious nuts who hate all aliens or heretics, their God is a physical person, who is nearly dead and sitting on a throne on Terra, just a comatose near-corpse.
That's the basic gist but if you want more detail a lot of people would answer questions.
This is definitely my cup of tea
I would scald my mouth sipping this
The game drops random lore tidbits from the universe instead of focusing what's going on in game most of the time anyway
In summary; in a relatively important planet cult of a chaos god of pestilence nurgle(one of the big four) releases a zombie plague and inquisition (secret police of the galactic empire) goes to investigate but they stretch their resources so much that they need to hijack a rogue trader's ship and have to employ strike teams made from prisoners to employ as a force.
You as a prisoner turned inquisitorial agent fight against mindless zombies, chaos worshippers and chaos worshipping armed rebellion
We’re a branch of grendels assets
Tertium is in a “smaller” war
There are two more hives and the situation on those is so bad that its confidential for the rejects to know
The rogue trader is “employed” and less of being hijacked
There is prestige to helping a planet go back to imperial fold
Not to mention potential of buying over merchant ships and blah blah blah
She doesn't sound way too happy about her employment tho
Its service under the inquisition
No one is fucking happy
For more lore context, Tertium is the name of the hive city we’re in.
The planet is called Atoma Prime
Tertium or Tertius is usually used to denote a third in a sequence for things
I think its from Dune?
Primus, Secundus, Tertius, Quartus, Quintus, and Sextus
Future latin
I mean service under the inquisition can be just. I'm requisitioning your stuff
And not many people can say no to an Inquisitor
A rogue trader sometimes can depending on the warrant of trade they have
It was never a deconstruction; ironically viewing it as a deconstruction is misinterpreting it because most things people thought were ‘deconstructions’ are genre staples (the consequences and horror) that were unseen to people used to seeing satire or children’s toned down versions. During the same era, Nadesico is way closer to being a proper deconstruction of its genre.
Nah it was just another "I'm such a depressed creator, have some mindfuck drug-induced imagery"
TBF people have been arguing about whether or not it's a deconstruction for almost 30 years
and if you look it up you'll find everything from "It's not a deconstruction" to "This is why it's the greatest deconstruction of all time"
japanese anime designers in the 2000s:
let me just reference catholic imagery real quick
Japanese writers in the 80s:
I fucking hate the government and economy
Some lore for my ogryn OC, Brik.
Born in an unnamed hive city on Brax Magna within the Moebian system; Brik always seemed a bit brighter than most of his other ogryn siblings. While not the most adept at reading, writing or math; Brik as was always fascinated by machines, with the various ultra heavy mining machines that worked in the bowels of the underhive being his favorites. By the time he was 12; Brik was already 5ft tall and doing just as much heavy lifting as any of the other workers, and was even granted the privilege to replace one of the broken gears in a heavy mining drill.
Brik eventually joined up with a hive gang known as The Hellhounds; who originally hailed from Necromunda, but a few members migrated to the Moebian sector, and re-established the gang there. Brik's primary role was as the gang's head enforcer and problem solver. His job was simple; fix problems. No task was too small or too large for Brik. However; his life would suddenly change when he turned 18, and was drafted into the imperial guard as part of the planetary tithe. So, with a shrug and many hugs goodbye; Brik joined the Moebian 21st, as a heavy weapons specialist; and resumed his job as the go-to problem solver. Unfortunately though; Brik's habit of disagreeing or disobeying his commanding officers to save squadmates, had him sent on a prison barge for insubordination and sedition.
Brik isn't a very big talker, but is a big listener and can have a basic grasp of otherwise very complicated concepts; and often gives very simple, direct but poignant advice to those who seek it.
"It's just better to say what ya think; even if it gets you kicked outta the guard. Simple as. No need for fancy words."
"Gunnar and his Oathbrand will be staking their claim on the Mortal Realms soon, but hang on… what are those shadowy shapes gathering on the horizon? Hurry back to the reveal hub before things get nasty here…" From the the new Dark Oath reveal page
Is it finally Shadow Aelves?

just more Stormcast
Not like City of Sigmar hasn't got quite a good selection in the last year
I have a dumbass question lol. Can Salamanders be fine with an infiltrators squad? 🧐
Yes I'm fully aware of being better off with Aggressors, Bladeguard, Eradicators, Inceptors, Infernus, and Scout Squad's.
Is this a lore question or a Meta question?
Like are you looking for a lore reason the Salamanders wouldn't have Infiltrators or a meta reason why you shouldn't use them on the tabletop as Salamanders
Thank you, ya just thought I'd ask 😅
Space Marines (of the codex variety) kinda have to learn all disciplines
Some chapters focus more on one thing but mostly without exception there are elements of all those yeah
Obviously this depends and some do not use certain things but Sallies aren’t one of those who do it doesn’t matter
Besides the line refresh for humans?
sorry i responded to this right wheni woke up i ahve no clue what i read this as
LMAO
In fairness the CoS only got Human refresh, the rest are still not really up to fresh
So how did humanity travel and chart the galaxy before big E was interred in the golden throne to project the astronomican?
Short range jumps and smaller beacons I believe
Also warp storms weren't as bad or common before the age of Strife in M25 and the Birth of Slaanesh in M30
They simply asked the Daemons for directions (they were friendlier back then)
Definitely real lore
Oh yeah Dilara i just Finished Da Big Dakka
Here's my review
- || the romance between the two dark elder was rather quite nice ||
- || and yeah they are not written well they literally almost ended the entire sector because they decided to kill each other||
_ || it's a nice perspective to see what it's like for an ork to suddenly just become way too big and suddenly gain waay too much intellect|| - || Ulfthak absolutely decking the Mek Lord with the WWE move is crazy ||
And hey it also reminded me that somehow torturous elves get better game than I do
My God I am so lonely
im extremely new to 40k and want to get into the lore. any way to go about doing it? there an order to things?
Basically start with a basic introduction video watching by a 40k content creator, then pick a faction you like once you understood the basic universe and read books
there a book order?
no
there are beginner recommended ones but if you like you can pick what you want to read
- Rogue Trader rule book
- Everything else
Nah basically Gamesworkshop the creators of warhammer have a novel branch called Black Libray.
They make random novels once in awhile that focuses on different stories across the galaxy.
One could be about guardsman, or eldar, or orks, or necrons, or just random people in the Imperial sphere.

Start with this first
thats both cool and odd lmao. cool that you can just pick up any of the books and are good to go. odd that theres no coherent order in which what i would assume would help make a coherent timeline easier to understand
Yeah there IS a timeline
all of 40k takes place in the latest "date" in the setting
its also made so that anyone can pick a faction they like and enjoy them in their own sphere
its a tabletop game first so factionalism/likeness is encouraged
but theres a HEAVY imperial bias since they are the main human faction
It's because it's a general setting, so there are many different narratives and stories taking place throughout the Galaxy, there's no set read order for everything, but certain storylines and series will have their own read orders
^
it's filled with standalone stories in a shared universe
Like if you start reading Gaunts Ghosts series there's an order you're supposed to read those books in in, but their specific read order is completely unrelated and has no overlap at all to another book in the setting like the Infinite and the Divine.
speaking of infinte, Fabius Bile trilogy started to get good towards the latter half of the second book
haven't finished it yet
well of course
hey Dilara
Do you think Ulfthak is basically the Ciaphias cain of the orks
close id say
any recommended books to start with at least?
#40k-book-club has some good options in pinned messages
also where did you say they had all their books at? ill have to take a look
Black library is the website that distributes warhammer books
Basically that yeah, you buy books from the Black Library site
And it's safe to assume that for necrons it's Trazyn
awesome. I probably wont get into the tabletop but i really enjoy the setting and lore that i currently know so far
Getting into tabletop is not the easiest considering that you have to assemble the kits and paint them yourselves
some armies are ball bustingly expensive
it's a good game too

Wait I thought he's like an Eldritch BLOB made out of like resin or something
It's a waste of money even if you do like Miniatures tbh, but it's either that or Fatshark cosmetics.
^
yeah the really good looking miniatures are quite the money beat down
Tabletop sim is free
easy way to get into it
actually wait
its 10$
but way cheaper
i already own it because i had to use it for designing a base version of a card game
Then you can play on there easily
I love plastic
GW put a fucking stompa in a value box
Holy shit
It's literally just a group of boyz a truck and then suddenly next to it is the Titan
well we don't kwon the price yet do we
Battleforces are almost always the same like price tbf
true enough
the new big mek is a design
yeah it's very nice
next thing you know they would have something called like the
Beast WAAAAAAAGGGHHH Bundle and just have the gargantuan squiggoth on it
lol
If only it wasn't resin
also holy shit goffs not on the cover for once
wtf is up at GW
BLOOD AXE ORKZ ARE AT IT BOYZ
Yeah recently orks are getting a lot of attention
The new big dakka book
New models
you name it they are swinging this year
AoS stays winning
The alternate head looks Dead'ard
I like both tbh
H think I like the old one slightly more
How I imagine myself looking vs how I actually look.
if you want to go big mek with mega armor i think you have to go with this one
But I do prefer the exoskeleton look of the other one more
Overall I'd say it was a pretty mid reveal, we got like one new squad of AoS and then two new hero models for 40k. That's pretty much it
Die
both are my type
Gnomes are in Bloodbowl now nobody gives a shit
new big mek is a replacment for these 2
I'm sure all 5 Bloodbowl players are very excited about that
i would miss that snotling launcher
yes
New one still has shokk attack gun at least
I want the ducks for cities
that's a goose you pink tyrannosaur
I don’t think it replaces the bug shokk gun one, from what I remember the big shokk one is pretty new
What the f are those
I thought I was r6
my god i didn't even notice these were 40K with how bad they are
holy shit those skins are ass lol
Art style clash to the max
i think that's supposed to be a scout marine
Yeah definitely a scout marine
Wiay is the top right one supposed to be a space marine
The Sister doesn't look awful
The entire cross over looks like an Arma mod
Decent but her holding a modern day firearm doesn't do her much in that department
Oh god, I thought he was just wearing a low res Hawaiian shirt
man I fucking thought this was TF2 at first lmao
Don't insult ARMA like that
it looks way better most of the time
texture work on it is rough tbh
The general look of cod going forward that quite realistic approach does not lend well with 40K's choice of gothic grim dark
they are basically missing details that blend them better into 40K like dirt and grime
they look way too clean
I'm gona watch a space marine shank captain price while Homelander hits a 360 no scope in the back
with this we get closer to Fortnite 40k
Watching a space marine dance on Snoop Dogg music while absolutely decking Niki Minaj
no
I'm just saying like
40k fortnite skins
because I want to see a Marine do the default dance or something idk
my brains rotted
I will illegally apply to medical school just to save you at this point man
The skins look fine
Lol
What has AoS done to deserve that fate
Like chess and checkers, warhammer has turns
What the hell is auto chess?
💀
The world of mobile for warhammer games
Can you just autoresolve games of chess?
I’ll tell you if it’s good
it's not
Warpforge is pay to win hell, combat cards is balanced but repetitive
Trust me you will only wonder why you wasted your memory on such a soulless game
And groups heresy it
Addicted to TFT
Hmmm
Why is he smiling
He's hitting the 😏
Wiat a minute this is literally just that LoL game mode
One for one
I really like that game mode so tho
I told you
Is dota auto chess alive still
where in lore?
The warp
it's an angry marine too
so it's more like the fusion of 2 kind of brainrot
lol I missed the angry face
the creator made it for their kid, which is kinda cute
Mutated by the warps corrupting influence
ngl the later and most recent episodes are way better than they have any right to be
skibidi toilet has gone from shitpost meme to a full on show by this point
lol
How many marines that fought in the horus heresy are still alive in current day?
Not counting traitors?
Excluding dreadnoughts and traitors 0
including dreadnoughts
like prolly double digits at most
If that
if we include iron hand helfathers there's even more
Wasn't Dante active at that time ?
It's probably just Bjorn
Dante wasn't
Neat
oh actually
there's a primaris
who was from HH era
but cawl nabbed him for experiments and shoved him into stasis lol
You mean Calder?
yeah
he said fought so
neither of them count ig
Chaos there's a fuck ton
of leftovers from the Heresy lol
arent there a couple in the collection

BRUH
I cannot deny my hands their purpose, I must heal
watching that astartes animation for the first time, it's awesome
The psykers are cool, but they dont kill anyone. Is there anything a strong-ish psyker could do to actually take down a marine?
A strong Psyker can just boil their blood
Or crush their skulls
Or melt them alive
The list continues
The psykers in astartes were decently strong
But they weren’t like
Absurdly so
Prolly wyrdvane level approximately
yeah, ig I dont really know how to gauge the strength of an average one
Space space marines
Astral Blades
Emperors stars
Imperial stars (one of those non existent chapters)
Knights of the Puprle star
Purple stars
Since they worked better in tandem
Ect ect
They are an invention by the creator, as stated by himself. They are nobles from the planet below who underwent specific biomechanical surgeries to awaken latent psychic powers. The Orb entities probably had something to do with it. Those spinal cords attached to their heads were part of the mechanism stimulating their psychic abilities.
in the video they basically just slow the marines down, one of the marine's lenses pops
They're trying to crush the marine
Oh nice
yeeee
but those psykers def arent' at the level of like
a battle psyker imo
still dangerous
but like

can a psyker who's used in combat just like, snipe people's brains? lol
pretty metal
so the ingame psyker is quite strong then
espescially at a higher level
For psyker power levels
oh epic
A decently powerful Psyker could crush a Space Marine into a ceramite frisbee
Basically Imperial psykers are very limited in abilities to a degree because they only know what the Psyker schools teach them on Terra.
If you are a rogue psyker you can learn through "other" means but that depends on how you wanna go about it.
Psykers can basically almost have any ability the plot demands, the ones we see in general 40k media are just generic stuff like mind-reading and shooting lightning
What's this list for?
ooh very cool
their homebrew I'm assuming
Ohhhh potential names?
Was wondering if assail was based on anything lorewise, but ig psykers could do smth like that if they wanted then
Yeah it is
I thought you'd already settled on one
