I wish I could reduce res but there's only a performance vs fidelity mode. I tried turning off all the gore, ragdoll, and dismemberment effects but that didn't really help. Honestly I might just take a break until the game is smooth again

There is also an item you can get that prevents flowback. But I tend to use liquid storage so I can see how bad the issue is
