The manufacturer perks was a wonderful addition to the franchise, but poorly executed. Nothing did what they should be doing.
Jakobs got ricochet, but it felt like the crit mult was way down. Torgue stickies, maliwan charge up, etc

Tediore got. Guns with legs/ hover packs

But as much as i hated tediore as a reload spammer
I missed the nuke effect of tossing a full mag at someones face

I think hyperion was the only stable set, you just had to not be shafted by mag and/or fire rate
