So finally managed to complete my first Havoc 40 mission last night. Tho I'd question it's legitimacy since two people were using hard crazy Macros. A Veteran that didn't seem to do anything too terribly crazy and a Psyker who was swinging their sword about 3 or 4 times for each one I could normally do one and they were using the Inferno Staff doing the "Primary Attack" to the point it was almost like a constant stream of flame.

Ignoring that nonsense... how the hell are you supposed to actually go thru that mountain of rotten armor BS that feels nothing short of "Random Bullshit Go!" from the Director?

Lot of the time a lot of engagements involve us getting pushed back an entire section or two or all the way back as far as we can because it's just so much.

While the Macro Players were doing some hard carrying (mainly the Psyker) and I could hold my own for a hot minute and even clutched it several times but it's just... stressful tanky shit everywhere all at once seemingly all the time.

The most effective strat I saw so far on a run that actually worked out for us was "Speed run to the furthest part you can, trigger all enemy events, fight the 6+ bosses all at once at the event area over the course of the next 10+ minutes, revive when you can, hope for the best."

To put it bluntly, I don't mind a challenge but that's just bullshit.

Several times I've been able to make it work but the moment you get stuck on one small spot or corner it's basically GGs.
They circle around you in a pack so damn fast so it's easy to get hung up and not able to move.

One thing that was pissing me off one game as a Psyker was that Ragers kept spawning around the corner BEHIND me where there were no enemies and no clear path/spawn location. Just some would come, they'd die, I'd go back to what I was doing supporting the team and suddenly there were a couple more coming around that same corner I just checked no five seconds ago. I don't mind stuff coming up behind me but at least make it make sense and not just POOF into existence.

I'm only doing Havoc for the Penances and the Armor (and I guess the Diamantine Bonus on Weekly Reset is nice) but it's definitely not something I'd like to go out of my way of regularly doing all the time with "duh bois" because it's just insane neverending chaos. The only times I ever saw peace in a mission was on mission start, any area prepping to start a Hacking event and the end of the mission just before you start the final rush. Beyond that it was just constant hordes of walking tanks.

I don't mind the rotten armor modifier or the Final Toll buff they get. It's just the sheer volume of bullshit and unless someone has something to quickly kill multiple rotten crushers and bosses you're gonna get set back a couple areas based on how thicc that armored squad is.
