It's mainly just the fact that VT2 will punish you for smaller mistakes harsher than DT will. You don't have the same access to movement by comparison so moving with purpose is something you'll pick up on. THP isn't an overshield of sorts like toughness is. At least one of most of your talents are going to be tailored to compatibility with temporary hp. Blocking has more relevance but parrying is also much more relevant.

Inconsistency has harsher consequences compared to DT. Look up Royale w/ Cheese in the guides as a huge stop for information that's still very relevant to this day.

Main thing you want to do is just not let your generous dodge count get to your head. I'd say also just transfer any aim skills you have from DT and make them as good as you can because that actually goes a significantly longer way by comparison to DT with a character like Kerillian. You'll want to really actually get things like melee combos down sooner than later because that actually bears much more weight in VT2 than DT and you'll see why. Sharpen up your defense because at higher levels if you're just sleeping but not already covering yourself well on defense, basic enemies will straight up break you down in like 2-3 hits. Everything has the potential to kill you with much greater relevance than DT.

the retroactive healing on the shield was really nice yeah. Also it was funny sometimes to put the invuln shield, see them realize they're immortal and rush in swinging like a madman

Headshots matter more, being more precise with melee matters more, more enemies require more interactivity to overcome in melee more, weapons with diverse movesets that actually have a place in loops matter more. The list goes on by comparison to dt. But I like dt more for the speedy gameplay enablement, the movement pretty much does this all by itself.

you do different things for all of them. clanrats you just swing until their shields break. chaos trash are a little too tanky to just swing through, so you push them down. elite rats you double push headshot. bulwarks... are terrible enemy design
