Yeah the helldivers flavor is pretty great and it's an original IP which is cool because they have free reign to do what they like with it. It's easier to die in helldivers so they give you a stick of lives to use and there's short missions in addition to longer ones. You rely heavily on "strategems" which are triggered by a throwable ball you punch a code into to select your desired strategem, can be anything from a turret or vehicle to a heavy weapon or orbital barrage delivered by your personal ship

Helldivers locks new items and stuff behind warbonds which function like mini battle passes, but you can (slowly) farm in game premium currency to buy them which is not an option in DT. DT is pretty good about giving players all gameplay related stuff for free (barring the arbites and likely other upcoming characters) with premium cosmetics costing a premium currency typically unattainable through the game

I'm good at rescuing, always have high rescue numbers. But I also often have low offense numbers, usually one of the 2 lowest on the team, because I use a Combat Axe and mostly melee (zealot). And I don't think I could solo an intense mission, because I can't kill enough enemies fast enough with an axe. So I don't think my weapon choices are strong enough...
But ok, if people believe that any build can be overcome with skill (and an understanding of how that particular build works), then I'll believe it

Ah - I think this might be a thing...

1. I play with controller, so it's (maybe?) a bit harder to target specific parts of the body to attack
2. I haven't bothered studying which parts of enemy bodies to attack (except for some obvious ones).... generally I just always aim for the head.
   If I learn a bit more about the different enemies' body parts' weaknesses, that might change things

the head is usually a good choice, failing that its good to get into the habit of pushing every now and then when you're in melee and also learning what the swooshes as I call them (the sounds that play when an attack starts outside of your view)

those are basically my secrets to success, I just have a really strong understanding of fundementals and reflexes to go alongside it, aside from that I excel at the macro in the game (knowing where to use my grenades, when to use my ability, gaiging distance etc.)
