I really don’t think the max stack tox damage on a boss is that crazy. It’s actually easier to spray the autos into a boss’s face and get more damage that way

yeah but that feels more interactive than the needle gun, for me its a feel thing because when you watch someone spray full autos it looks like they're fighting the boss, when you or someone else takes out the boss with a needle gun it just looks like your character is double checking if he locked his car so he's pressing the button a few times to make sure then looks around and oh the boss is dead

Specifically desperado is very good. If you see that on a scum that plays well you’ll usually be safe. Other builds are a bit more of a toss up

My favorite way to play hive scum is with tox everywhere
But you can mix that with rampage
Crowbar ramp or shiv ramp
I’d do shiv, tox on crit, with SC and I’d do a no or only one or two nodes of CDR with a mostly damage and attk speed stim because Sample collector is insane with a tox build

But I don’t play Vet a lot and haven’t seen them a lot since HS dropped so I’m unsure about their power. I still feel they’re as useful as zealots though. ok so... my hot take of the week... i really like the mk3 shivs, they aren't better than the normal ones buuuuuut they have some really unique combos enables with shoving

i realized that if you either push then normal light attack 3 times then push you get decent dps against armor with dots and if you pushstab then hold a heavy input through that you get access to the stab
i actually really like it as a weapon
its got options

i should say the pushing is more to give you space to focus down the armor but it feels like it rotates the stabby lights faster as well

and considering scum surfs the line between a full chunk and a completely corrupted chunk regardless as their entire design is dodge or die this thing does fuck all

The shout on end gives you time to recover, or the talent to get back stamina on dodging.
sometimes it is better to stay in the engagement, so you can keep on the aggression (being aggressive means more toughness regen)

what you can do is stack every single bit of stamina you can, all the attack speed boosts from the tree, AS stimm and then the box cutter shivs

I started getting this and worse after installing power DI and the ovenproof scoreboard plugin. I tried removing them one at a time until frames were normal again, but I ended up having to strip everything one at a time, reinstall scoreboard and disable and reenable mods til it was back to normal.

I think scum cdr is pretty inline with other classes considering one is tied to a keystone, its cooldown regeneration and it maxes at 40%. And the other is tied to stimms. Plus they desoerado and rampage have their cooldowns paused while they're in use.
100% i was saying that the oddity of the 5s limit on that one node is to keep it in line with the current power curve of cd reduction
At this point just delete the node. At least rampage and stimm supply have interesting secondary effects.
