I think MK2 is generally considered the best since the explosion on the MK6 doesn’t seem to do a whole lot. (It’s funny though)

so flinching isnt considered fully staggered
decap may have single target controlled higher dps when fully ramped. but loses all the other bonuses power gives (assuming I am remembering what decap does right)

the numbers are just kinda low for how specific it is, unless you are really trying focus single target on a crowbar/bownsaw/chain weapon

with hyper crit, light spam on mk1 will take care of humans
Their lights are pretty noticeably faster than corkscrews
and heavies are far superior for oggies

if you needle oggies, I can see them being better

I think what people don't understand is how to use the moveset
If you push light spam you can apply dots very quickly to mixed hordes
If you push heavy heavy you can cleave thru lots of trash hordes
It’s my fav weapon by far.
bonesaw is good once you ignore H1 and just spam lights/ P-L-L for single targets (way safer and applies dot faster)
right but uh
bonesaw heavy is actually 2 hits
for realsies
so it applies 2 dot stacks
same for crowbar's pointy mode
interesting to go shred over decapitator, also for perks i found it's good to slot in +2 stamina since 4% attack speed feels good
and you can dodge cancel out of the rip anim
yeah and it takes way too long anyway. it does a ton of damage to Unyielding tho so if you can get away with it H1 and even P-H-H is high dps
Perks apply to dot damage when you have the weapon equipped
too many ppl spam the H1 on everything
The purpose of the H1 is to get Shock and Awe active before you start your clear loop
Or ofc when taking down individual Crushers
Shred is better because the majority of the damage from Bonesaw is the dot

some give global strength others like decimator give personal strength or whatever the fuck it's called that only affects the actual weapon damage

It's because they didn't fix slaughterer to only affect weapon, they are not different buffs, a bunch of stuff used to do this

strength stimms also boost damage
but rampage doesnt sadly
that honestly changes things for me but it's still such a small change that I'm not sure it's even worth it, after all it only takes 5 shots to hit the DOT cap if you don't even bother with crits or headshots
it basically just saves you a bit of ammo
so yea not super worth imo

Yeah thast's true, but I find IAG more effective for general purpose, it's just more flexible overall, like you can fire into 90% of the enemies in the game and have it be pretty good, while brauto is just not as good and less flexible.

gunners are SUPPOSED to stop shooting you the instant you get within like 3 meters or something of them

This is some of the reason I run TacAxe so often on melee setups tbh, bonk them on the head with the special chain an they stop shooting you lol
but the AI that allows them to move while shooting is bugged and ignores anything that would normally cause them to stop shooting

It is, but that just means you only need one thing to beat it. A great axe, coghammer, dual anything, billhook, flail and shield, etc etc.... There were a lot of weapons whose design would simply cheese an entire aspect of melee in a way that broke the game. Granted it still exists in Darktide, but ranged enemies en masse means there's no way to fundamentally game the system
remember rolling randomly on blessings and hoping you got whats right
I also enjoy how much skill the game takes even though its a horde rush. Most horde rush games usually equate to "form a train and funnel into this choke". DT is very much a "hey so we're faster than you, make due"
Just roll good stats, good perks at t3/4, good blessings at t3/4 and then ur fine, it’s easy!

I think it's a very cold take that I will make here, that most everyone agree that Darktide is the best possible combat feel on the market by far. Pretty much peerless. It's everything else around it that can be questioned for quality 
When I feel like being a REALLLL piece of shit I use my perfect block stamina build flail and shield on wp and just heavy attack spam the entire game

That's precisely the point. The game was "hard" because it was bugged and when they fixed it, they never compensated for that feeling which lead a lot of people to get bored because they learned to play in that time.
