If you're comfortable/skilled enough to not need it, then its fine. I personally, love maxing toughness. I play psyker with 220+ toughness. The more you have, the more efficient your replenishment nodes are, and the more effective the damage reductions nodes are that you are forced to take

i really need some help. I started my psyker char 3 or 4 weeks ago and barely made it to lv30. it still sucks.
i cant dealt proper ranged damage (trying the flamestaff) nor melee. and dying or self-exploding is regular 2 or 4 times per game.

exploding yourself is avoidable by not casting at 97%+ peril

or pressing f if about to explode with both venting shriek and scrier's gaze

The rhythm of building up peril and venting it again is just something to get used to. If you blow yourself up, make it a deliberate thing to watch out for your peril generation more. That's just part of the learning curve of the class.

You can use Venting Shriek as Kat suggested but it can become a crutch against learning peril management if that's what you always play with.

Typically yes. It can cause problems for talent activation for other classes, can cause performance slowdown for other players, it makes horde enemies spread out instead of close which can lead to fatigue of having to handling them that way
