You can hold M2 sure and be a sitting duck or reach 100% peril before the thing is in line of sight. If you have been charging M2 and get a target the charge can sometimes reset if you hit M1. Didn't used to happen, but it does now.

The 3/4 thing I was talking about was someone killing your target most of the way through a charge and your charge going to 0 but your peril is still up.
