Unyielding is pretty much mandatory on meeleker laspistol because the two things it is great at that your toolset is otherwise meh at dealing with are reapers and deleting bosses.

I like crit chance because there are a lot of crit bonuses and I want more… but also I don’t really shoot any other targets with it for killing, I just shoot unyielding stuff and to disrupt specials/gunners occasionally when charging them with me sword. The damage is meh against carapace whatever you do (but the fire is still solid so if you’re running from a carapace blob tag em a few times so everyone is good and 🔥) and against other targets assail is plenty

You can do something like this, because you are leveling.
Once you are max level change Assail for Brain Burst with Kinetic Flayer and make sure you pick Psykentic's Aura on the left side
