which results in you just sitting in one place holding smite right click for extended periods of time

the other issue is that EP as a keystone is only buffing your smite, so the rest of your kit is gaining zero value

meanwhile Warp Charges and Disrupt Destiny (your other two keystones) are global bonuses that affect your entire kit and also your blitz

essentially, unless you are intensely conscientious, EP Smite will always devolve you into a Smyker who is hard-casting lightning waves at everything because that's literally all you've built to do, whether you intended to do that or not

So I basically use the weapon one of three ways.

Quick swap for pushes and elites. You won't often have a big warpslash ready to use.

Warpslash spam. You won't get much out of the occasional crit. Plus you're already critting 20% of the time.

Horde management. This is where you'd get to use it, but at close range, the slash will already manage horde. And you usually want things that make the regular attacks better too.

Yeah, pretty sure shred is the crit on hit. People like that one.

If you can pay attention to it, WU (warp unbound) has feathering around the edges of the screen while it's active and has a sound cue when it ends at 10s.

A fire+bubble or voidblast+bubble is a great core, and then the second psyker has a ton of flexibility to pick one of the dozen good psyker setups.
