@strong timber The penance used to be 90% damage to a monstrosity with BB and it wasn't private. It was a lot of investment. There are penances that would cause a lot of griefing, so FS's solution was to make some of them private lobby only.

50% can happen organically and shouldn't be private imo.

If you have an epic account, I've seen it come up for free. I would watch a vid before even getting it for free. The base building is not a huge component of the game. Raft or valheim is way better for that. Grounded is also an option.

I also personally hate "Kinetic Flayer" - it doesn't seem to have a point at all. That seems like such a fun one if they rebalanced it to be worthwhile.

Esp if you accidentally damage a burster with it, lol. They should really patch that out.

i do have it, the idea is to use it (smite) when the mass of small enemies is big, the staff is for bigger enemies

I personally really like EP smite, when I use it, I generally don't spam it, but sometimes it does clutch out the round. I think it does get a lot of hate justifiably; I didn't know how to dodge at all until I switched to another build.

Bigger enemies like elites, which the staff does more damage to, still stuns, and doesn't use an EP charge

Also I just find it funny every time I remember it because people used to call it Kinetic Cope before the talent overhaul

(Brain Burst was the Psyker's only Blitz, Warp Charges were the only "capstone", you had to BB to get Warp Charges, they fell off if you didn't BB enough, and random Kinetic Flayer procs were the only way to actually BB often enough to reliably build/maintain the stack)

trauma's uniqueness among staffs is the fact it can knock down crusher/maullers

many other things can set people on fire

rending helps with havok and increased armor

well ig the blessing is for brittleness technically

but soulblaze voidblast can still work in havoks, it just suffers because you will want someone with bubble and SB voidblast really likes venting shriek

Everyone who prefers rending voidblast falls into one of two camps. Either you run it because you like warp flurry so much that you can't live with out it or you don't understand Darktide's mechanics enough that you think rending is more valuable than blazing spirit.

Blazing voidblast is always better unless there's an inferno user or another blazing voidblast user.

That includes havoc.

Blazing spirit voidblast works with shield and enhanced psionics + brain rupture pretty well too

it's spammy and the DoT can fudge breakpoints for you anyway
