I am something of a voidblast enjoyer myself in spite of that staff's slow application of damage. Being able to distribute its maximum damage across all targets hit in its radius, and staggering big packs of elites has been a boon

Idk if scrier trauma would be better, i run that setup with shriek, warp charges and 60 warp res stat so my shriek cd is about 20 sec

Easily hits 1.3m dmg if not more

Also you dont really care about venting with this, shriek's cooldown is so low that i can start the peril explosion, cancel it with shriek and have it back up by the time im at 100 peril again, while casting trauma non stop
