#psyker-class

god i love just going afk on voidstrike

nobody knows if ur doing well or not cos its voidstrike
pure vibes
it explodes so you're probably contributing

im hard caryin
i forgot kinetic flayer tho
how can i do the funny without the ufnny
even along side a big un on damnation i tend to net the most chaff kills with a void strike
so i never feel COMPLETELY useless witha void strike
ur just not tryin hard enough
i can achieve hitherto unheard of levels of useless

that and tagging shooter groups to wipe most of em in one satisfying crunch sound is...enjoyable
i TEND to
ive also netted the fewest kills in every catagory and had lowest team score
cause i was lagging behind the team charging shots
sprint-sliding should alleviate that
since they fixed it so that you have the jorts with voidstrike now
lmao
had someone ask if i was cheating or using a mod cause i was doing that with BBs last night
happy to educate him that you can just do that
there's so much silly tech to this game honestly
not that im complaining
hello can some one pleases explain to my how to complete Keep Your Distance ?
which one is that
elites are:
- Crushers/Bulwarks/Reapers
- Scab/Dreg Gunners
- Scab/Dreg Shotgunners
- Scab/Dreg Ragers
- Scab Maulers
so ragers are really the only ones that you have to worry about
so honds and mutents dont count ?
nah, they're "specialists"
well, i'm pretty sure that the penance refers to elites and only elites, but you never know
thank you
since the game does like to use "elites" to refer to both elites and specialists sometimes
but that's usually only for feats
they could certainly improve the feedback on sprinting while channeling, since sprinting changes your speed from 1.6 m/s to a whopping 2 m/s
oh wait i guess there's the fov change, but i have my fov changes turned off
they should do this
when ur channelling
and u sprint
u float in the air like 10cm
otherwise nothing changes

that would actualy be an incredibly useless but cool detail
truly unhinged
i was doing the most damage with my devastating rashad techmology's
but then i died trying to manfight four ragers in a grenade
pensive
pensive
just put anime sprint lines when u press sprint pretty ez imo
they should make it illegal for grenades to hurt me
real dangerous for whoever we run into

they should add a force katana
and its activation is a hold sheathing thing and when u release u do some sick anime bullshit and then say something in japanese and nobody understands what u mean
this would without a doubt save darktide
u know what would be a sick blessing, letting u use the activation of ur force sword as a parry

as a lore afficionado i will have to say that is blasphemous
the dclaw has infected your brain stem
and also when u do it u pres s adirection and if u do it with good timing u can chop them into a thousand pieces and pull out their spine
and its full of gatorade for some reason
bros been watching too many mk1 trailers
Bring back the samurai IG
power swords got an aniome vibe if you use it on a single target. ya power up your blade then draw it back and finaly cut your openent in twain
thats totatly anime
my pre-nerf bloodthirsty giving my sword swooshy sounds for 5 seconds
then it should be more animes
do u want to see the high level calculations that go on in the mind of a voidstrike mastermind
Watch hmm yes extreme calculations and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
very few people are capable of such striking
"high level calculations"
straight line
lmfao
look at where the healthbars are
and when the third one appears
the dude hitting me triggered an accidental shot which kinetic flayered the rager it hink lol
no voidstrike is just that op
sorry intentional shot
spread this video around
i am still yet to try it out
i only just used the surge for the first time
cant tell if i like it or not
i think i quit surge the moment i realized that it didn't hit as many enemies as i thought it did
cuz it used to apply a scorched effect to basically every enemy you hovered your mouse over
and i just copied over surge psykers at that time cuz they were surging hordes and i thought that was what you were supposed to do
and i realized the horrible truth
lmfao
its a weapon that just feels like
im relegated to saving other people
rather than killing
the non-deterministic targeting and low target limit is a real banger
i mean maybe its non-deterministic for u
dont make me show u the future of surge staff
idk if i have a surge staff
but ill do it
whatever "it" is
truly threatening
ironicly long term your surge staff will pull off some great damage numbers, the downside it it sets EVERYTHING up for an easy kill by your party, so if your in it for the kills they ALL belong to your team mates
FUCK IT UP, HADRON
Playing bg3 but gotta log in to RNG this meme.
LOL
RNG bless me this day. I think the gods of BG3 smile upon me.
hacker
ok easy dub 5 suicides
showin these ingrates whats up

surge staff cant get surge blessing can it
now THATS the tragedy
I'm gonna leave it on 4% crit chance for the memes.
(In case they add blazing spirit 4)
blazing spirit 5
Tru
Tier 5 blessings and perks for red weapons.
Perfect for sedition low intensity grinding.
whats better voidstrike or flame staff
purgatus
voidstrike, it strikes voids
ok fuck this even using surge as a joke is miserable, i cant even do it ironically

ya know what would be a cool buff to the void strike? putting a void in it have it do a decent aoe pull torwards its center when it explodes. gives its blast radious some acual use
Why, in the ever-loving fuck, does Voidstrike only have T3 Blazing Spirit with no access to T4?
Voidstrike seems even less useful than surge, speaking as a non-psyker having to deal with psykers using them.
Because trauma is the same. For some reason staff blazing spirit stops at 3.
It's stupid but FartShart.
its got a unique roll among the staffs range limitless horde clear plus one tapping 3/4ths a shooter patrol ect. downsides is no aoe damage to armour like a trauma or surges sheer crowd control and massive armour/unyielding damage. that and its the easiest to use and suffers less jank the surge or trauma
still arguably the worst staff
but it is my favourite
Every time I've seen someone running it they just insist on only using it.
Throwing enemies everywhere, knocking around hordes that were already controlled.
And then getting clipped by a poxwalker that they knocked behind them.
Can void throw mobs around?
are you thinking of the trauma? void hits in a line that tends to kill all chaffe/medium mobs it touches the ones it throws are eleites and specials
yeah thats trauma
My mistake.
I can't get on to check, but I'm 99.5% sure that Trauma has access to T4 Blazing
it requires more skill to use, a good trauma user wont be tossing mobs around behind ya but instead thunking 6 crusher deep mixed mobs while also dealing full damage to all 6 to death
but truama is harder to use well with out that issue
Nope only t3. I am trauma main.
I see. Explains why I've seen more bad than good ones.
I am also a trauma main, and I distinctly remember having an internal dialogue about how I'd cope with only being able to roll the T3 version
A well-rolled trauma 1 shot all the trash mobs.
So that guy is just unfortunate to have a low damage one.
a good one will one shot eveyr mob in its blast radious almost and carry as an anti heavy/specia/eleite almost as well as a boltor vet
while also ccing the entire map
They also just tunnel visioned a lot.
tunnel vission is admitedly a weakness for many psykers and is partialy due to the charging nature of our staffs
As vet I ended up swapping to melee often because they'd keep using it point blank.
Sometimes I really do think Psyker is too easy, but then I remember if I get breathed on the wrong way I die
i got tilted by a trauma psyker when meleeing as vet
since they would constantly just put their trauma circle on me
even though I was running the psword
though i am basically just tilted by pub trauma psykers all the time
i had one in my last game who blew up bursters on two occasions on the other teammates
a GOOD trauma user can clutch so hard, as seen above
Hope I'm not one of em
and i saw him put his circle on bursters i was pushing multiple times
and almost blew me up if not for the fact that he couldn't aim it for shit
i do not use trauma, because i am not a good trauma user, i know its strengths and can use it to good effect but not best effect
How do you miss the thing that runs forward at a constant speed with a giant fucking circle
tbf i was at elevation
Wait so they were below you or?
Because I'm def reading that wrong
Unless they were just that incompetent
oh i was above them
trauma doesnt aim up stairs well
WHAT

infact it cant even aim up walls
staff blazing spirit is capped at 6 stacks max, melee at 12, so they just cap staff blazing spirit at t3 @ 3 stacks
unless your aiming at max range
it ees wat it ees
it is extremely sketchy to aim a trauma at a stair if you're up close to the stairs
like if the stairway goes up long, then it's fine
but if it goes up a little bit and then onto flat ground, then it's sketchy to aim it onto that flat ground if you're too close
Trauma can effortlessly CC 6 crushers and 5 maulers while killing most of the trash mobs around it, yet at the same time is terrified of a metal staircase
dont forget corogated stair ways can cause your aiming circle to drop through them
orchestrated by the anti-trauma legion over at the mapmaking team
not to mention also taking off a third or more of all their health per 1.3 second blast
I will use trauma at stairs
i say give us a trauma mk that free aims
more like a fifth or sixth of their hp on crushers
and every 1.9 seconds since there's 0.6 seconds of downtime after each cast
you can quell cancel to remove ~0.3 seconds of the downtime if you have frame-perfect inputs
but trauma's DPS does depress me a lot
i am only half serious when i ask for bolter to be given to psyker
still one of the fastest to charge and deploy and repeat staff it honestly feels like the jot staff
Watch all a dream... and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
she never escaped this mission...
she simply died...

much too think about...
you killed all of your teammates
Imagine the psi collar fails and now there's just a massive daemon in the storm raptor

No, what
Skunks are bros
thats the thing
the skunk doesnt know them
they get the stink before they make friends
and then the valkyrie smelly for weeks
Surely in the 40k time line we've invented whatever the gigachad version of tomato soup is
Just one quick coat
nope worse it summons a demoncly pissed honey badger
normal sised
just very angry
First thing it goes for is the Ogryn's jugular
I'm ngl even auric operatives don't stand a chance against honey badgers
Have you seen those things fight
Question to the people who know more 40k lore than me, what is a Wyrmwood operative? Seen them mentioned in a couple mission briefings
Real
Completely forgot they dropped these
Fatshark likes when you forget.
any of yall familiar with the psyker ability in table top known as crush? i want that for a staff. just one single target crunch
does anyone know if the weaker monstrosities in maelstrom count for the malleus penance?
It sounds like a character
They do
perfect, ill have to see if i can ever manage a private lobby to do that lol
I'll help ya rn if ya want
idk if the right mission is in rotation yet
does anybody else just feel like BB is situational as hell and that it doesn't fit your playstyle?
becasue i feel that
can't fuckin wait to get a new blitz
What blitz ?
the BB is a blitz and i can't wait to get the one that is coming out which will give us a shard to use instead
something like the wistle arrow from GOTG
how you know that ?
I’m going to speculate that one of the psyker shield abilities will allow you to put points into healing. It might just be a toughness heal if it happens.
yee i don't see them doing actually HP heals unless it's something like HR
Could even do something like increasing damage
i hope the smite ability is more target general then surges armour only
I'm interested if there's going to be a crit-centric branch for psyker, should be fun to combine with a surge voidstrike staff
they should just make warp nexus a feat
and not a blessing
so u can live that crit life
now that were getting an aoe blitz in the chained lightning smite, i hope we get a single target staff

i think it contains all the essential elements that make the psyker truly a force to be reckoned with

i suspect only ONE of our new class abilities will allow peril venting
so i suspect many many many a psyker is going to to do a mind blowing magic trick

u gotta get out the calculator
did your mind explosion kill the hound and trigger your passive?
you detonating your self mid mutie grab is perhaps my favourite darktide clip of all time
Iconic tbh
honestly i wish they would turn the mind explosion into a full fledged nuke, psykers building for wounds specficly to detonate them selves when needed in auric mealstrom would be HILARIOUS
what i think is they should make the explosion proportional to what % of ur life the wound u lost represents
so 0 wounds = way more damage
the backstreet boys cover in the background
because u can do it less
nice touch

teeell me whhhyyyyeee explods
is soulblaze IV on trauma staff able to be rolled? or is it like blaze away where it goes only to 3
only up to 3
yeah and the soulblaze cap for stafs is 6
just constantly hold down the charge and sprint slide around
then when u need it u can immediately blow urself up
Most current iteration of Psyker Cop. Flatter moustache and fuller eyebrows.
Being a melee aggressive psyker and being able to easily melee hordes but then all of your associates are down and you have to snapshot the Trapper that's rushing at you through the crowd.
Decided to write a piece for my favourite character's finest moment! Any and all feedback much appreciated

cursed with success
I tried to wear the pants without the skull attached, but I just end up missing Wilson. How can anybody play without him is beyond me.
Was there a change to the way Bulwarks are staggered by trauma staff?
I felt that
Despite Psyker being one of the two "ranged" classes, I play him melee eighty percent of the time
Don't jump down my throat tho, rest assured I play Veteran the complete opposite. I only go melee if my teammates aren't able to hold back the horde before they reach me
siblings, pray to the emperor for me
Tasty
swapped out crit damage for maniac and t4 Riposte for t4 Slaughterer
alright what counts for this: is it when you hit 100% or is it actually when the psycker puts their hands up to their face
when you go into the splody animation but hit your emergency warp nut button
okay alright
ive just been doing that whenever i hit 100% but i gotta actually edge my warp
ty
if you got a buddy you can do it at the start of a private mission until you get it
i mean its not hard to do i can just do it casually lol
i just need to make sure i was doing it right xD
Melk is selling this should i buy atm i play Purgatus
hands up
delta-p strikes again
Use Purgatus and go above 100% every time your ult is up.
Odds are you'll catch a bunch via Meditation and get it done quicker
excuse me if im just now noticing something people have seen since launch, did anyone know about the laspistol special attack being a force push for psyker?
a 10m one that builds peril too
I always assumed it would just be the same as one for a vet or zealot
I suspect a lot of people don't know
wondering if it will push through walls, specifically for poxhounds pounced on teammates
so I dont have to hold and waste my ability for them
Interesting... I have not experimented with it at all. Good question.
I have only seen someone talk about it here once, ever... not a lot of las pistols fans
it requires you to aim so clearly it is not the weapon for me
I ignored it with my poor hitreg, a gun that rewarded headshots much more than bodies was horrible when I couldn't hit an enemy walking left or right of me
recently got a new isp that made it a lot better
but a ranged weapon that builds peril is really nice for the peril feats. Always had to bring an illisi sword if you wanted to chain high peril with a gun
IIRC it's a bit slow to build peril but you easy enough to maintain peril
if you want to squeeze out an extra 10% damage or so
It's definitely enough to push bursters and hounds from across a room, bit more powerful than a purg m1
does warp nexus affect all of my weapons?
nah, blessings no longer affect all weapons (with some exceptions and bugged ones), and warp nexus not being an exception
you'll see it give stacks when you have the weapon equiped in the bottom left
i know that handcannon on the revolver is one that also affects your melee
pretty sure the slight rework they did to crucian roulette fixed it affecting your melee
Given how niche it is I wonder how long it'll be before it's fixed. I think it's been around for awhile now too.
That's neat. I don't like the laspistol but im glad that push is decent.
You might surprise people if you actually use it in a game
how are people getting the peg leg cosmetic?
I don't see it anywhere, penances, commissary or shop
i thought it was a one of the premium cosmetics, it might have cycled out of the shop since I noticed one outfit on each class isn't there anymore
weird, I thought they had the shop set up to where everything was available at any given time
oh well
also speaking a bit on guns, I miss when psykers could use the shotgun back in the beta, it was really nice for dealing with shooters which I felt was where hard to deal with, single headshot is an easy kill, and you can chain them easily
Groups of shooters aren’t as hard to deal with with improved BB and also staffs, but it was fun
Lawbringer special triggering brainburst is a joy
Justice dispensed.
Them shoulder plates tho
Is kind of funny that the class that people think of as being the squishiest has the thickest torso armor
(Personally think Psyker is extremely tanky depending on how you play)
Psyker has always been SUPER STRONG when played right and SUPER WEAK when in a bad spot
Melee aggressive psyker is extremely fun
What's your prefered melee?
Illisi for the cleave + deflector blessing
Yep that's a fave alright
After doing Arcotash’s melee build I haven’t looked back. Though I still do use my staff and bb more than him.
It's actually armor to help ur head not explode or something idk just guessing
whack whack
me not using my staff is fucking me over a lot, so i have been trying to remedy that
Could also be armor that uses my brain sparklies to protect me better

Power armor, if you will

A or B
Check you have 360 flak, combined with +25% flak perk you can one shot all regular mobs on a heavy or a push attack head shot
For a psyker the best way to use the knife is abuse kinetic deflection and our quick stamina regen and spam that push attack on it since it does the same as a heavy attack but swings twice as fast
If left one has 360 flak weakspot I would go with left, change +weakspot into +flak and precog into uncanny strike
Just surge more horde including.
oh right, you're awake at this time
Me bri ish
tsk tsk
heyho, havent played for quite some time. is wildfire fixed or still useless ?
I think it's good. Don't let the haters bring you down.
Assassin boss getting bullied hard
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Uyb6u8BRJCk&feature=share8
I'm stupid, can someone tell me how its numbers are higher with lower damage modifier
first target
first target is just a dmg multiplier
78% to 80% dmg is lik maybe +1/+3 dmg
70% to 80% first target is maybe a +(x1.03) dmg mult
Ah I see, so the numbers at the top are a calculation of the total modifiers
yeah
what should i change on this Deimos
I'd say Carapace to Maniac and Slaughterer 3 to 4, unless you really really want Deflector, in which case keep slaughterer t3 and put Unstable to deflector
I'd keep unstable and change slaughterer to uncanny or deflector since I just use the deimos to bop big dudes
If you wanna horde clear with it though then yeah keep or even upgrade slaughterer
Got this on psyker after a mission. Game thinks it's being funny.
Hot take but Psyker probably makes the absolute best use of Chainsword of any class.
Best use =/= good but what I mean is that our Warp Charge bonuses + Warp Unleashed gets you to some neato breakpoints on Chainsword rather effortlessly.
Such as sawing Mutants in half.
So if you're bored of Force Swords and you've got a staff or BB heavy build, it's a nice compliment.
Ye I'll probably play around with it eventually, see how it feels.
You too can be a hipster!
There's also other breakpoints but I can't remember them and cbf lookin them up rn lol
If anyone's looking to get Malleus Monstronum, there's a Heresy level Maelstrom with Monstrous Specialists for the next 18 minutes.
im planning on using a health and toughness curio, on the third should i use another health or instead a wound one?
Honestly, it's a matter of preference I'd say. If you trust yourself not to go down, another hp, toughness, or even stamina is a good choice.
I don't even really run hp curios since as a psyker I don't really wanna be in a position where that would make a difference in the first place, maybe just me though.
hmm
I run toughness/wound/stamina myself
personally i run 2tough 1hp curio
(+5% tough +5% max hp) x 3
20% sniper res x 1
30% toughness regeneration x 2
oh true i could go double tough
Assuming you play psyker as a backliner, the way most people do, toughness has bigger value since it fully tanks ranged shots
i think im more up front on average than backlining
im just thinking of ways to reduce their squishiness
It's all your preference. I use triple hp curios giving me 261hp.
Yeh, on psyker it's very much a personal preference I'd say
It's on all classes. I run triple hp on all. Xd
fair enough xD
I'm currently trying to find three 21% hp curios for my ogryn
so he can be a hefty chonker
I keep my psyker squishy though
i think ill end up doing health/tough/wound cuz i dont trust myself with only 2 wounds on heresy+
I always take grims if they are available on the mission so hp stacking helps there too.
oh yeah, that's fair
I always do quickplay, which usually doesn't give me grim missions
People don't seem to like grimms ig
They be scared of the funny books.
Grims give so much money. Hi shock + grims is pretty sweet.
i equipped an hp curio for the sniper burster maelstrom and i had two instances where i survived with 4 and 1 hp
i didn't go down either both times
absolutely calculated
I'm H/T/S rn on Psyker and debating dropping the S for another H
But man, Force Swords do not have a lot of base stamina, and I like to run for more than three seconds at a time lol
i don't have too many problems with hp besides certain maelstrom modifiers, so i just stack 3 toughness and get some +hp perks for 172.5 hp
taking a +21% hp curio bumps that up to 204 hp, which i find to be comfy enough for surviving most things that break toughness
unless you get absolutely dabbed on by 3 bursters or 2 snipers w/o 1x or 2x sniper res
(or be as cool as i am as shown above)
At the moment, I'm running toughness/health/stamina for curios.
I used to run wound rather than HP, but I looked at the numbers, and wounds are false economy at high difficulty.
A +20% HP curio (yeah, I know they go up to +21% and you can stack perks on that, but +20% ones are more reliable to find, and I'm just considering the base blessing) gives you back +30% HP before you're dead. Wounds might seem to give you back +50% HP before you're dead, but that relies on someone getting you up twice (if they only get you up once, you only get back ~16.7%), so wound curios are only useful at high difficulties if you entirely run out of wounds.
More than that, +20% HP reduces the likelihood of going down to begin with... and I believe also increases your downed HP, increasing the chance of a rescue (or reducing the likelihood of someone attempting a risky rescue that chains into a TPK).
In theory the maths might work out differently if you're already stacking health, because a second or third health is additive, whereas another wound is multiplicative, but that's getting into fairly niche cases.
Game changes could potentially make them more valuable in future - something like a Maelstrom condition that severely reduced medicae servitor charges, or a new ultra difficulty where you only got one wound by default would definitely mess with the numbers a lot.
But yes, so far I've found that toughness/health/stamina is... mostly working for me.
Being able to soak more damage onto your recoverable toughness is good (and having more toughness also multiplies up most sources of toughness recovery other than coherency), but some things bypass toughness and more health helps there... and when it comes to stamina, well, I do like being able to spam push attacks, plus it's just funny to be able to tank an entire horde.
@spice veldt what'd you use to change the peril meter's color?
i'm using the peril meter from CrosshairHUD rather than the game's native peril meter
and i made some changes of my own so that it changes colors at my own thresholds of 50%, 97%-99%, and 100%
Gotcha, thanks
Been trying to recreate closed beta peril meter without actually, yknow, learning to code in Lua
i have hopium for a UI update in october
i shall show off my peril meter https://streamable.com/5y7cji
shame that there's no bar UI to demonstrate the peril
Is there an update happening in October?
according to the pcgamer article yeah
of course, the wording is it "should" be arriving this october
which is very sus
It's a tactical way of giving out information to be honest. If they miss the month, they don't have to do the sorry next week™️ they can just say yeah we never said that, look at that bad reporting confusing our players
Just had a game with three psykers with based variety. I'm still larping as a PsyKnight, had one with a knife and revolver I was assuming was larping as a Zealot, and the John Surge Psyker
For the Emperor.
This fire stick any good?
Also ! What are the feats for a firestick user, with a deimos blade ?
is there a way to change opacity? Custom hud opacity doesn't seem to affect it
2-1-1-1-1-2 is what I run for Fire staff
you'll prob have to edit the lua file itself
yucky
disgusting even
My stick really just wants to clear hordes
I mainly use the Trauma staff because much like in real life, I use trauma to deal damage to my enemies
man, i havent dueling sword'd in a while
Pretty sure Rampage and Shred was my go to
Not sure if I'd change that nowadays. I hadn't tested Uncanny Strike a whole lot.
Uncanny shred.
I don't use duelling sword on multiple enemies so rampage is useless for me.
I forget Voidstrike perks. I think you want at least flak.
Blessings wise for general build, it's transfer peril + warp flurry.
Base stat wise, charge rate > blast radius if you have to choose.
Quell speed is generally dump stat on staves.
blazing spirit trauma is very fun and very effective
trauma is really cool but i just cant get it to click for me :(
also how does focused channeling work? ive never really been "kicked out" of charging my secondary by default
Focused is great on Purgatus, not really useful on Trauma
If you get interrupted on Purg, you lose your charge and Flurry stacks. Focused lets you play very aggressively, if you want.
ahh i see
Getting interrupted on Trauma WILL cancel the charge, which is not ideal, but I suppose with all the CC, and the reasonably short charge times, you're not as exposed.
You can also play Purg safely, of course, but Focused makes a bigger different if you want to leverage it.
so focused/flurry would be the ideal combo for aggresion
Id recommend just going nexus and flurry instead, you will hardky ever get your channeling interrupted if you are aware and are ready to dodge while channeling
Nexus is almost a necessity, crit = double burn stack
thats what im going for on surge just because peril builds up super fast
I'll go the opposite, extra stacks is very maginal difference.
I gave up nexus long ago and you hardly notice it.
A double burn stack is a double burn stack, id take that over getting my channeling interrupted every once in a blue moon
But play whatever feels right for you
The actual damage differential is just really small. Some maps like Hab Dreyko can get pretty spicy in 270*, and Focused can help keep your DPS up in case your team is flagging.
But by the same token, lots of linear maps Focused won't really matter.
So it's more like it enabled you to play aggressively, if you want.
Focused will also let you shoot through ranged guard break, although that's obviously a risky situation to be in, but at the worst moments it can make a big difference.
the difference between getting tapped once but still completing your channel, vs getting tapped once and losing the cast thus failing to interrupt an enemy, can be the difference between not dying and dying
does doing a full charge of purgatus have any benefit over doing the minimum charge?
lets be real here, how often does that really happen? id say maybe a cast gets interrupted every 2-3 games and it is never really a make or break situation, you can get back to spraying fire immediately
nexus will be in effect every time you use it
ill just let it rest, play whatever you feel like
on trauma, it lets you do something like sprint into shooters, which enables you to sprint-slide
it also functions like zealot's TWBS, causing you to ignore the knockback from Gunners and Reapers
no experience with using trauma much myself, just talking about purgatus
probably drop warp flurry for focused channeling on purgatus and just do attacks with the minimum charge
warp nexus has a benefit but warp flurry doesnt, assuming theres no difference in dps of full charge vs min charge
I dont know about that chief, warp flurry is very noticeable even if you charge up short bursts
when the stacks start rolling the channeling goes so fast
it is very noticeable, but what's the benefit of a full burst?
more constant damage, less channeling
like do you actually get more dps if you do full charges vs min charges in the same amount of time
you can really notice it if ur not running warp flurry, you do the same damage ticks but you can throw out bursts of fire much faster
you can deal with not having it, but flurry feels so good
i guess im just wondering, if you spend like 1 straight minute of throwing out fully charged bursts vs 1 minute of throwing out minimum charged bursts, do you actually deal more dps with the full charges?
You get more suppression / more and faster up time with flurry.
Personal preference and all.
because if theres no difference then you might as well just use minimum charged always, in which case you're never really charging so flurry is less useful
even on low charge bursts it cuts the channeling time down a lot
so with flurry stacks you can throw out the minimum charged bursts faster than without flurry?
and when you are just going for low charge bursts you will need to channel more frequently anyways
yes, a lot faster
you can see warp flurry proc to great effectiveness here #psyker-class message
alright, then it should be a dps increase if that's the case
my personal recommendation is to just go with nexus and flurry on purgatus but do whatever you feel like
There is no difference in damage, but your DPS goes up by spending less time charging.
In a horde I will often short-charge the first few shots just to get Flurry up to stacks
Faster channeling time and fire for longer. Firing for longer (full charge) lets you apply more soulblaze stacks faster than minimal charge.
What am I looking to change on this purgatus ?
change infested to 5% crit and terrifying to warp flurry imo
Crit is good with the flame stick?
people say its the best perk for it because it applies two burn stacks on crit
You could also change infested to flak, but crit chance helps everything.
Crits help apply soulblaze stack faster.
Are the mods good on it otherwise ?
mods are pretty good, would like to see cloud bumped up to 80 though, most important stat
but that is overall a very good staff
Definitely happens on max difficulty, you only have so many dodges, and Focused shines at the moment when things are the worst. I have flamed through guard break from ranged before to save someone.
You can also flame in a horde (briefly) if you want to, which is sometimes very handy.
Yes, but cloud radius could be better.
i only play auric and maelstrom
I just presume that's what we're talking about, since none of this matter much below that. you asked how often it happens though.
differs from person to person of course, but getting my channeling interrupted barely ever happens, a guesstimate would be something like every 2-3 games maybe
Let's say it's really 0-2 times, but they actually matter. Obviously plenty of games can go by where it's just smooth sailing and its irrelevant.
But I have to weigh it against the damage boost from Nexus, which also isn't that big, most of the time.
if i did get channeling broken i would probably just immediately start channeling again while spamming dodges
Sure, but comparatively that's a lot of downtime
in an ideal situation, sure, but sometimes that isn't an option
Purg has lots of suppression, I would say most often I use Focused to just tank a casual poxwalker that i DNGAF about, when there is something more important to melt.
Last room of Hab Dreyko, if you have a weak team or somethin goes wrong, Focused has been worth a ton there.
Sycorax at times too.
if you consider Nexus to be a 20% chance to do 20% extra damage
what it actually is is a 4% damage boost
well, Nexus is complicated... because sometimes it does a lot more damage, like if you had to stop flaming a target, but by luck you got 4 extra stacks on there.
It's hard to peg it really
But if you're channeling to max stacks anyway, I think it's closer to 10% dmg?
It is a 20% chance to do double damage
No.... just to add a stack.
If you're at max that does 0.
yea crit damage is like 14%-40% more damage
Which is more or less all the damage purgatus deals
besides like revolvers and knives which do the full 100% double damage
don't quote me on that tho
but its not double damage on the full channel, just double damage on a single tick
Crits on Purg are ~10% more, which is almost nothing. So it's just a question of whether thebonus stacks matters.
No? It adds an extra burn stack on the target when you crit
even if you count it as 100% extra damage
its 20% chance to do 100%
which is the same as 20%
20% is good considering purgatus doesnt have a lot of good blessings
yeah, not saying its bad, but its not as mandatory as people make out
I don't think it's going to net out to 20%, I suspect a lot closer to 10%.
5% crit perk is a bad idea, that is a very small damage gain vs +damage to a class.

+crit has the highest benefit when the enemy dies in a rather short time (basically the time it takes to reach max stacks), but beyond that, the difference is smaller because stacks are capped regardless
stack cap only relevant on monsters
A single stack of SB is ~25% more than the last. So a crit is in theory worth a few ticks of 25% more damage.
The 5% crit perk is only going to net you 2% more damage, on balance.
Nexus is different, It's not displacing anything, so it's all gain.
If you don't cap stacks, and let it all tick out, the stacks are worth more... but that almost never happens. You're either killing them or someone else does long before you get value.
remaining stacks get transferred with wildfire feat
4 get transferred
if, if, stuff nearby has none
huh i forget that the purgatus' cast time is somewhat long
I stack crit chance for the luls
Mainly cause I swap back and forth from my illisi
So having more stacks in less time is useful for me
I don't really care about the rest of the argument here but I'm gonna call this out
this is some bullshit numbers lol
the 2% is made up or calculated wrongly
even if its +5% damage, thats pretty meh
its more than just 5%, with a purgatus spec you have a lot of synergies with soulblaze effects
I don't know what to tell you... do the math fi you want...
which of those synergies require 2 stacks instead of 1?
It's a geometric progression. The first few stacks are big increases, the jump gets smaller and smaller.
yes but due to the way the game works, you don't calculate it that way because there is almost no instance except bosses where it ticks fully
Well we only really care about marginal stacks at a high stack count, because the damage is so small at low count it... doesnt matter really.
Getting free stack from 4 to 5 is not going to make a difference. It's getting faster to 15 that matters.
that's not true lol
I think y'all overthinking this
Ok?
getting a stack from 4 to 5 potentially kills a bunch of trash faster
I go crit cause it's a guaranteed slight dps increase
either way I don't really care about which one people consider better, i'm just saying the way you calculated it is not correct
And I don't get interrupted like, at all, besides really rare occurrences
lolwut, its exactly the opposite of guaranteed
It's like flamer
You go overpressure+blaze away not cause you need the boost
But because it's the only blessings that give a noticable increase in power
its more than a flat 5%, it gives you a higher chance to proc a warp charge from soulblaze killing blows and increases the chance of dying mobs having 4 stacks of wildfire to pass on
If you want to show a better way to calculate, please do.
Y'all wilding
Yeah Ascendant Blaze (if it works correctly, I forget what it does now) would be more likely to proc with higher SB stacks. That would be an advantage.
Wildfire... I don't see it, because you would have had to stop at 3 stacks, but gotten lucky on a crit... I suppose it could happen..
I explained my mindset I ain't going into math when only like, 3 blessings matter on purge
5% crit means that, on average, you need to apply 20 stacks to get 1 extra
When I'm swapping between sword and staff, especially vs bosses, hitting Max stacks quicker for less peril is nice
Oh this isn't about warp nexus
even if its just limited at 4 stacks, you can sometimes have a hard time getting there considering how fast poxwalkers get mulched in hi intensity and how wide you are spraying
Yeah Nexus is valuable, +crit perk is a poor idea (vs dmg vs enemy)
Like I take crit perk just for the memes maniac flak or unyielding maniac is prob better
Unyielding is the boss on Purg
well, this is something you often see when people debating what's "optimal", is whether you're considering best chance to finish the mission, or how to out-damage your own team-mates
what the hell? 😭
Yeah, in theory I agree, but since I don't know when it crits I can't really play around it...And wildfire is just going to get everyone up to 4 stacks on their own anyway.
Damn this went way overboard
is wildfire bugged still or did they fix it?
It works as intended, but fixes to Slaughterer have made it less powerful.
thanks! i dont have slaughter yet so no worries there
I would always take unyielding for the fat boss damage, and ocassionally bulwarks end up in range.
I would take flak over maniac just because maniac target are less likely (hopefully) to get in purg range... but obv still good to get rid of them faster.
i was kinda worried that purgatus would be no good in the new auric missions because aften time in game slike this crowd control rules when you pump the difficulty up. but i have been pleasantly surprised to find that the purg still staggers decently well and it outputs plenty of damage.
I just have to know my role and hold the line on the fodder enemies not run around trying to stab the heavies
If you have no other horde clear, Purg is still really useful on Auric.
purg staff is just so much awesome class fantasy i didnt want to let go
i think i will put together a gun witch for a secondary build though
Wildfire is great on Auric/maelstroms cause of high density
It just doesn't stop, softens up the whole map for no effort
Sure the 1st wildfire spread won't kill shooters, but the 2nd one does and so on and so forth
You catch a lot of random elite with it, despite it not seeming like a lot of damage at face value.
What is a good feat set up for a purg/deimos build... or should I swap away from deimos and just hope others have the big things while I illisi?
Deimos and Purg are friends. Deimos can be setup to remove the big things purg can’t.
kk, that was what I figured
I don't know what the thresholds are, but Warp Unleashed/warp stacks/+maniac/Unstable are all ways to get to mutie one-shots (and easy 2 shots)
Feats... 2 1 1 1 1 2 ?
There are lots of options. X111X2 (if you run Deflector in particular) is a lock.
For T1 there are probably fans of all 3, and for T5 some people like Battery, some prefer Wildfire.
On the Deimos, you can opt for Unstable Power instead of Slaughter, as you often won't be chaining kills with your sword, and just taking out single targets.
Unstable Power has up to 4 stacks, which is not written on the tool tip.
And L1/H2 are 2 strong, single-target attacks
Unstable and... Deflector?
That's what I run, but people have other preferences too.
Stat prio... Damage = First target > Resist = finesse > mobi ?
I mean let's just say that's pretty ideal right there, yeah.
Warp res can go both ways. Some people like low res for charging up peril.
I prefer Illisi with purge going into maelstrom
Damage, First Target and Finesse all conspire to build you actual damage. You should be hunting for weak spot hit as it is.
Illisi is just more flexible while keeping up single target damage
Damage finesse first target as high as possible
You can skimp on mobility and resistance since unlimited dodges
Is there a reason these have unlimited dodges? It feels so... alot
there's a strong argument to be made you want warp res as low as possible specifically for some 1 shot BPs with warp unleashed/unstable power
particularly for headshotting muties with the H2
my deimos has like... 33%?-ish and takes 2 activations (sped up by QQ canceling) to 1 shot a mutie with the h2
No reason just fatshark
Honestly dueling sword should have the dodges not force swords
You are a space wizard
Gotcha. And... what do I want on it, maniac... flak, unyielding?
Maniac for sure, and then Flak just makes sense.
I go maniac flak
Time to get plasteel for orange then!
I'll Venmo you some just to see the orange
mine has 8% elites locked in. i don't think any of them make a huge difference since obscurus and deimos specials have 200% damage vs flak enemies anyways
ideally it would probs be something like unyielding or carapace
Yeah after +maniac you're getting into very specific breakpoints that im not sure many people have worked out.
yeah, maniac is the big one, then really personal preference
Hadron says slaughter is good xD
After a nearly 3000 kill archivum sycorax with 2 purg, 1 electric psyker, and a grenade gun oggy just marching through slowly like a flame tank
God that's so close to bis
Swap superior to unstable or deflector, groaners to maniac and it's juicyyyy
I sadly have no blessings banked, so that may be a bit. But at least the pox to maniac will happen so
Well if you don't get Slaughter 4 anywhere else, you can melt this one day for an Illisi. That's a nice pull haha. (but i wouldnt be a inrush to melt it)
In the meantime, +maniac and replace Superiority with Deflector or something else if you prefer, and you are good to go.
Certainly, I'll look to probably get deflector on it, blocking bullets sounds rather nice
I love Deflector, and I run it for clutch moments, but with purg you will find few opportunities to use it, since you're channeling so much of the time. But, I still love having it.
is there any purpose to having warp nexus on a purgatus
If you want to scroll up there was a big discussion 😮 it has a lot of fans.
When you crit you apply 1 extra soulblaze stack.
Crit hits apply more stacks of soulblaze so you can hit max stacks faster.
What is the go-to curios wise?
So many options. I personally am running Health, Health, Stamina with sniper resist, ability regen, toughness regen.
But there are many ways to build curios
Okay, I was going with health blessings, so glad I wasn't off there! I like the idea of block % with the block bullets thing not sure thats a good idea or not
It's a lot of personal preference, but if you search up curios and their perks, you'll find math charts with break points for somet things.
I take +3 stam to go with Kinetic deflection and deflector.
Pygex also has a video for the quick of it.

Thank you!
In short, no. You'll find that Kinetic Deflection gives you so much block already, you won't benefit much from +block %.
Hadn't played Purg for awhile after all this talk went back to it. So fun.
the magic hobo drip
I'm using this occasionally for the non-Auric no ammo Maelstrom missions (although I realise that on my last mission I was arguably a hindrance, because joining two Zealots and an Ogryn mid-mission, I would have replaced a Vet bot that might have been restocking their ammo), and - given I'm now playing a reasonable amount of Damnation and have actually got some plasteel - I bought up several Voidstrikes from Brunt and got lucky with a T4 Warp Flurry after just a couple of Blue level consecrations:
It is now actually my highest rated ranged weapon.
I do wonder if the no ammo modifier needs some refinement. I mean, it's certainly possible to clear, but how much of a hindrance it actually presents is so wildly variable dependent on team composition.
after 560 hours I finally rolled an 80% burn purgatus
basically the only stat the matters right?
Veterans and psykers can plan robustly for the no ammo missions, but ogryns and zealots can only work on the plan of "hope there's a veteran".
No… you want cloud as well (determines range)
I've run it as zealot and you can get by, but it's difficult. Helps to either have a psyker or save those revolver rounds for snipers....
ah, right. forgot about that bit
rolled 66%. Not great, but it isn't dump stat at least
Yeah those 2 are your key stats, 66% isn't the worst. When you get a better staff, you may notice it hits a bit further out.
Need to get the redemption armor so I can full larp PsyPaladin
If I could be sure there would be a veteran, I'd actually consider running one as gunpsyker. I often get through missions with very few ammo pickups just by hanging close to veterans, and as Maelstrom missions also often have increased specialist rates, there's a lot of chance to get kills that trigger the resupply.
I'd need to be a bit careful (and no spamming shots into hordes because I can't be bothered to go over there), but I'd reckon I could do quite well.
As Revolver Psyker I reserve the rounds for elites and specials
Mostly brainburst and melee
Will sometimes use revolver shots on shooters if I can't get at them just with blocking their shots
But Deflector is based and I will often just walk at shooters
Also need this as a skin for the revolver
Yeah, I generally use the MG12 for elites, specials and shooters, so without many shooters on those missions I think the refills from a vet would go a long way... but you can't be sure of a vet.
I ended up as a gunpsyker main mostly because I didn't really get on with any of the staves. Purgatus and Surge heavily rely on the rest of the team dealing with shooters and the Trauma is really weird to aim, which leaves the Voidstrike, which is pretty poor against single targets.
Also, to be honest, Purgatus and Flamers just irritate me enough when I'm trying to do a marksman build that I don't want to involve myself with either.
The stats are pretty good, but you're putting a lot of hope on the next two consecrations being good so you can replace what's already on it.
I actually had a Purge psyker earlier who was attempting to flame shooters who were well out of his range.
Note that the team composition was them with a Purge staff, a Surge psyker, a Ripper gun ogryn and me (MG12 Psyker), so the number of people who should have been trying to shoot the whole way down that hallway was one, but the number of people who could was zero, because my line of sight was full of blue flame.
Surge really isn't my area of expertise, so I'll leave that question to someone else.
so, just checking my understanding, purg staff applies suppression to anything it hits?
I would upgrade it. +maniacs is very good. Unfortunately ALL the stats are useful on surge but it’s easier to give up on things like quell. Crit contributes to damage, but that is the secondary function so I would at least fo to blue and see what blessing you get.
Surge (and purg) have limited blessing pools - so when you are rolling either of them, if the first blessing isn’t Flurry 4 or Nexus 4 (the only 2 you want), before you roll to orange, swap the first blessing for terrifying barrage (if you have it already). Then, when you roll the second blessing you’re guaranteed to get flurry or nexus (if you roll a T4 blessing).
holy shit i just noticed all deimos attacks are single target lmao, i always thought light 2 and 3 were sweeps
any tier of terrifying work ?
I mean… if you are rich and want to gamble, then go ahead. Yeah any rank terrifying shoukd work.
This is how you collect T4’s, but it’s expensive. So only go ahead if there’s nothing else you want to make right now
I’m assuming you don’t have any T4’s for surge yet
I've nothing for psyker, just got it to 30 like a week ago
well, I have gun things, but xD
Well then I would go ahead to help unlock T4’s hopefully.
anyone else getting these constantly?
I'm just super tired of rolling for pinning 4 on bolter
Well then this at least had much higher odds.
I've gotten all the others, at least twice now >.<
So yeah change to barrage and roll to orange.
I'll see if I can't find one next few days then
Ideally I would only roll S tier surge, and your staff is almost max. So it’s probably worth the mats. But either way you want flurry and nexus on it so you’ll be rolling a few more most likely anyway.
l2/l3/l4 are also sweeps; 1x damage and 2 cleave
it's only l1 and h2 that have different attack properties than the rest
ye same
any known fix for it? doesn't seem to actually be affecting my connection lol
now when I say my connection is unaffected, I didn't say it was good lmao
yeah there have been some interesting issues perking up
i had a game where I wasn't getting hitmarkers occasionally... in melee with the illisi
and some occasional hordes floating around
though not as bad as in the past
moments before error 3013, I get these Excorcist cosplayers
spooked
utterly shaken to my core
either that or they're ascending to heaven
whilst a damned such as you watches from below
yes
why tf does rashad's 2nd heavy deal less damage than the 1st heavy to the captain's shield
and on another note, it turns out that where you aim your weapon at on the shield does matter in terms of damage https://streamable.com/77yv6d
first hit to the body deals 383 damage, and the hit to the head deals 810 damage
at least for melee; doesn't seem to work with ranged
wait am i stupid and used a limbsplitter rashad
no it's a gray rashad
???
do I buy this? (on the left, melk bucks) my current is on the right.
It might be worth for warp flurry 4 alone but, it also puts me over 76% burn but has worse cloud radius and quell speed
is the staff itself worth the swap, I could reroll both perks...or nah just keep current and get blessing
oh woah, so "shield headshots" matter. I always thought they did and couldn't prove it, thought i was imagining it
it's hard af on most melees though it seems besides the deimos
i guess the stab hitbox makes it really easy to do
it's easy to do with all attacks of the MKIV duelling sword (lights are diagonal overheads, heavies are stabs)
deimos' light combo has diagonal overheads as well, but it's difficult to hit the head with them as well
ya, deimos and thammer on zealot are what i thought i noticed it on
but never was sure
i would watch the shield hp bar and hit the head and feel like i did more dmg
but hard to tell in the heat of the moment that way
it was actually pretty noticeable with Thammer, when having slaughterer stacked from the horde and swapping to the boss and light attacking to the head bc you could see the chunks coming off the shield pretty quickly
Nah low warp resist and quell speed.
ya, i picked it up just to learn warp flurry 4 for purg
but i think you're right
i know my current purg is missing 76% burn tho which is the threshhold for an extra tick
It's not too difficult to make a purga. All stats high apart from damage. Crit chance/flak/maniac/unyielding.
Any idea which to keep guys? I know both are sub-optimal with the crit blessings ... but which one sucks less? 🙂
Blodthirsty is quite fun, but it doesn't really synergize with anything
🤔
definitely the first one. Shred, while not first choice, is at least slightly useful, while bloodthirsty is pretty pointless on Deimos, and you've got the option to swap Carapace to Maniac. Also, Finesse > Warp Resist
Thanks... Thought as much. Although - with bloodfirsty loaded up it was quite fun to cut down grouped elites... Probably would've worked the same without it.
ok lads, a or b
A, swap crit damage for something else though
maybe maniac but idk
crits on flames don’t do much at all if i remember right
should I swap terrifying barrage for a better terryfing barrage or a warp nexus level 3
talking about the first staff
crits are useless on flames
They apply more attacks of soulburn.
... flames already suppress every tick.
not in a circle around you though
yeah it would be usefull to supress enemy all around
my staff is t4 warp flurry and t4 terrifying barrage and i have no problems with it at all
If the enemy is all around you, then you've karked up. Also, one of the main enemy types that might be all around you (poxwalkers) is immune to suppression.
there’s situations where the surround suppression is useful no matter how good you are
sometimes shit goes wrong no matter how good you play
and having extra soulblaze stacks sometimes doesn’t really help
trash will die before it’s an issue, and you shouldn’t be trying to burn anything big, especially if you’re using a deimos
ooh okay, its because i gave up the terrifying on surge which doesnt work on purge
silly me
ill prob just proxy another purge until i get a level 4 blessing
Sure, there's times it might be useful, but that doesn't actually mean that it's as useful.
The preferred purg combo is usually Nexus and Flurry for getting as much damage/burn out as quickly as possible, because flames already suppress the things that can be suppressed, and a lot of the things that might overwhelm you are immune anyway, and need to be made dead as fast as possible to stop them being a threat.
anything except the obscurus
Guide to force swords:
"I hate hordes" = Illisi
"I hate mutants" = Deimos
"I hate myself" = Obscurus
(Okay, the Obscurus isn't terrible, but it's been left in a weird middle ground where either of the others does something better, and isn't really bad for anything.)
but idk if I wanna go force sword
Combat axes if you don't like force swords
specifically the Rashad (though the Antax is a close second)
I thought about axe or dagger
Force sword is definitely the standard for psykers right now, so if you want to use something else, it's more of a case of whether you like it.
My staff has warp nexus and flurry 4 and I have no problems at all.
The thing about force swords is that they synergise with a lot of psyker's feats and abilities, whereas all the other options... mostly don't.
Accurate
got dagger liek that, what should I change?
Two of the toughness feats mix well with charged force sword attacks, whereas all other melee weapons rely on hoping for a chain through Psychic Communion and Essence Harvest.
One more mission
dueling swords are underrated
I prefer dueling banjos.
Crit damage off and crit chance off
Crit Damage is generally considered pretty poor, as it only increases the critical portion, not the entire hit. (Which is I guess okay on a weapon that has a huge critical damage modifier, but eh).
High-intensity M5 and long-press M1 gameplay
i fucked your mother
He looks very lovely

Fire trauma is a popular choice.
If you swap rending for Blazing Spirit 3 (4 doesn't exist for trauma).
Swap crit damage for flak.
Can't get on atm but I'd have to compare it to my other fire trauma first
It's popular for good reason though
Speculation: Does this new talent tree allow players to cross-class between subclasses?
Intriguing
the limitation is that you can't go upwards or have more than 1 aura/iconic/ult/something else that i forgot
so it's possible to take more than 1 toughness feat at the same time
Blitz?
and so on
AH yeah
i am very enthusiastic about taking quietitude + warp absorption
I'll be interested to see what other auras psykers get.
I use Thrauma with crit and blaze, work well enough because it aplies it also in the larger explosion radius. Deals with everthing short of muties and far way bombers
Hard to beat ult regen on Elite kill but we'll see
honestly
i have this stupid idea
Wait wrong one
of essence harvest + warp absorption
I'm strongly tempted to just stack all the toughness regen
Psykers and adjacent allies get increased Elite damage
where u KB, bb something, and then use the regen toughness to get in incase u accidentally get caught between slides and demolished by gunner fire
Stop looking at my .txt documents
depending on whether we'll get a 4th+ toughness regen feat
it wouldn't be too terrible with kinetic barrage
since u could mess around with the regen effectively acting as a larger safety net vs shooters n stuff with diving
but on its own its not nearly as good as the other 2
Too bad it doesn't stack like the one for Veteran
i would seriously rather not have stacking effects like that at all
it's fucking dumb that CK gets it in the first place
i guess essence harvest is still nice for when you need to hittrade to snipe some random enemy and regen some toughness in addition to warp absorption
the thing is like
if ur hit trading and BBing stuff
you're probably dodging in and out of cover
there are some situations where you have to BB with a horde nearby
and I like to just sprint-slide to get the 50% toughness DR and tank the hits
i guess my main complaint is that its main application, getting warp charges from BBs, contends with the fact that both the other options also give you toughness from BBing but are more flexible
and if you have communion/flayer up and are killing stuff, you're probably doing it in melee (and thus getting melee toughness regen), or you're doing it with a staff
and soulblaze being able to proc warp absorption
and in both cases there are still better options
like with the best psyker melee warp absorption provides like 5x the utility
and with staffs its also just more useful

i don't think you can get enough toughness out of it for it to matter
cuz like if u get hit by a horde you're getting hit like 4 times
yes
warp absorption is fuckin weird
i genuinely cannot believe how good it is if you can use it right
Are you team Warp Absorption "Spam the Alt During the Fight" Illisi or team Quietitude "Spam the Alt Before the Fight" Illisi
mfs at fatshark deciding to buff warp absorption before the illiis dropped
numbers wise spamming peril on illisi before hitting stuff to use the normals
is just significantly worse than using the specials
even just with trauma
you can like
take 100% toughness damage from a shooter patrol, det the circle, and have full again
As gunpsyker, I've taken to running quietitude, but Warp Absorption too would be really nice with an Illisi.
that is genuinely rivaling confirmed kill (without unwavering focus) in terms of how much toughness you pull out of nowhere
the only downside is the lack of a gun-analogue of a force staff that can take absolute broken advantage of it
but the feat itself is quite ridiculous
Where's my Beam Staff Fatshark
i don't really mind not having a single target damage staff with warp absorption because trauma +illisi covers all the major situations where you actively need toughness
i'd love another beam staff, just for the shotgun alt fire it had
i want my warp glock
since if you get stuck dueling a bunch of enemies at long range kinetic barrage is normally just the more consistent bet
fuck trying to shoot snipers without unwavering focus during sniper waves
though trauma's charge time does pose some period where you can get bursted
is agony
which in most situations is mitigated by the fact you're probably opening a fight with it or can charge it while in cover then jump out to detonate
what's cover
i dunno man all my characters are max height (NOT compensating)
I think Purgatus is overtaking trauma as my favorite staff.
Deletes trash, trivializes shooters, and has very solid boss killing potential
Tiny French psyker for the win.
Running with Flayer and the dopamine of seeing the 15 stacks magically become 19 sometimes is just beautiful
i would rather die than ever use savant
loner all the way
But have you heard about Tertium's thriving liturgical drama scene?

Seer Psyker is such a chipper fellow though
Saint Messalina is central, of course.
I chose the Warhappy 40K gang for all my characters
Loose Cannon, Seer, Judge, and Bodyguard, though I honestly sometimes think about rerolling Bodyguard as a Brawler
They're like Desperado from Metal Gear Rising
can u shout for the emperor?
which tier 30 perk do you guys use? idk which one to choose, i usually like keeping my warp charges
Kinetic Barrage
rare instance of Hadron not bricking a good roll. What should I swap the perks to?
