I've always chalked it up to the nature of the 40k universe and Nurgle himself. Khorne, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh all feed off the impulses of sentients and seem to be influenced by the state of the galaxy, while Nurgle represents a more natural element (still warped by the sheer overpopulation, sickness, and decay the galaxy is undergoing). But all the Chaos Gods could have manifested in more benevolent forms if the galaxy wasn't such a sack of shit.

something ive noticed is most life gods in fantasy and scifi arent actually true gods of "life" when you really think about it. they dont tend to represent the actual life cycle very well and dont really acknowledge certian types of life as part of their domain. Nurgle does represent the life cycle in its entirety. He is also a weird god in that he in a way removes what he feeds on just as much as re spreads it. like he feeds off despair, but his followers dont feel despair because part of nurgles gift is that once you accept that life is hopeless he removes that pain from you. sure you will spread despair to other but nurgles gift inherently cuts off his followers from directly feeding him. no other chaos god does that

As long as the enemies come from one direction it feels great but i felt like they circle me down way too fast on heresy to be comfortable

Ogryn specialists your 2 sharpshooters will kill in half a millisecond anyways.

• Low dps, high ammo consumption, low ammo reserve for the torrent variant, high sustain requirement, no reason to use it till procs and dot is buffed, bb triggering on trash mob is useless

Mg XII las rifle:

• Good synergy and range, best ammo efficiency of the las eifles, falls off hard in heresy due to quickswap breakpoints
• Just good at dealing with specials, no armor pen

Surge staff:

• CC on demand, makes dealing with anything trivial, just needs some micro

Voidstrike:

• Kills hordes instantly if in line, easy to spam, broken with some traits

So why again would I get a gun in heresy and up
