if buy a weapon from brunt itll have two numbers at each stat one the current level and secon the potential which you can reach with upgrades assuming max mastery
if you wanna get your mastery with a weapon family higher you need to play games with that weapon OR sacrifiace weapons to that weapon family
please note the most optimal way of sacrificing is using green tier weapons of the same weapon family to that weapon family higher tiers wont get you more mastery
