The biggest difference will boil down to how you like to handle hoards. The mark 15 has a lower light attack compared to the mark 2, but the mark 15 light attack features two horizontal swings which really helps with crowd control. The mark 2 cuts on two diagonals and an overhead so I need a touch of a adjustment, both are great dedicated hoard clearers.

Both Chainswords have just about the best crowd damage available for a melee weapon. Mk IV is better than the XIIIg, but nothing else rivals the XIIIg at least on Zealot.
