we have three broken guns to fix, its a much more manageable project
nerf kickback, buff stubber but make it use even more ammo. add brutal momentum back onto hellbore stabs, but make the laser shot 5m range. psyker using guns will lose their mystic powers and become loner vets. these are the kind of balance changes they'll do.

until you miss a sniper at 10m because of the bloom, and lose half your health

its a downside of the gun but if you dont need to hit a headshot it is accurate up to very long range
not accurate enough to tap heads consistently at like 30m+ but you dont need that for a sniper

I do think the zarona needs to remain an anti armor tool, outside of weapons specialist its fine. it's the very upper limit of what I consider "strong but not overtuned"

yeah but there's always going to be strongest guns in the game even if we nerf everything into the ground. The reason it excels is because it's available for every class and fills a role that isn't super common, anti armor. Outside of weapon specialist it has pronounced weaknesses
that being it's reload / low shot count
strength should come at a weakness
personally I don't really think it's unhealthy levels of strong with those weaknesses
compared to like plasma gun or smite
which are just game ruining if you have more than one in your lobby
the reason it's strong is that it just deletes everything. the reload time is annoying, but more of an inconvenience than a real issue.

Smite is only annoying for the fact Its simply delaying and not instantly killing, which imo is good for support
Zarona is just vile with how it literally deletes every special with a headshot UNLESS it’s an Ogryn or maybe Mauler
smite is a strength magnifier, if you have high dps on your team they become unstoppable as theres no interruption to that damage

I only really play a few games at a time so if I join and one of them is psyker ez mode I'm usually not happy

I feel like Assail is easy mode imo with it’s insane toughness generation when thrown into hordes

assails toughness generation is definitely a bit intense
but the difference there is that it affects their experience
whereas stunlocking enemies affects everyone
it's like release assail deleting everything
