Brick time but it's a Power Sword Mk VI so as long as you swap the blessings to Power Cycler IV and Brutal Momentum it will still destroy things effectively. The perks are not good either though
my current problem to solve is when you go round a corner and a kid's birthday party worth of ragers suddenly comes out of a portable toilet sized room
So try and get another one then.
which at the mo im solving with shotguns
The Recon Mk II and Recon Mk VIIa have a funny interaction with Ragers and Executioner's Stance. Exe Stance buffs ranged impact damage for better stagger potential. The Recon Mk VIIa in particular also got a small impact buff too
So you can stagger Ragers and force them to stand still and die LOL
the stagger ends up being so strong you can keep a single Flak Rager pinned in place constantly until it dies
it's a hidden funny thing with the Collateral stat and makes them funny anti-Rager tools for pinning down Ragertide well
I vaguely remember the infantry las having insane maniac ADMs
but Collateral is usually a dump stat for most and not a lot of people enjoy using Exe Stance vs Voice of Command or Infiltrate so it doesn't see a lot of use
I'm moving away from shout at the mo because it's starting to feel a bit crutch-like
whoops I misplayed hugely and overextended guess ill just screech my way out
if you like pulling off really cool solo clutch moments I'd recommend trying Infiltrate
you can do some pretty fun things with it
i am never touching the tac axe again
you still have a Plan B option if you overextend but now you also have a tool to hit stealth and just force an objective like doing a remote or something in the middle of a fight so long as no one on your team baits a Crusher/Mauler overhead into you and they stay away during Bomber tosses
you can sneak up and save a downed squadmate incredibly easy too
and if you fall behind the squad for any reason you can catch up safely through the movement speed buff and the stealth from it
it lets me sneak down hallways to get plasteel/diamantine while checking for ammo crates/medkits/stims
then rush back to the squad even if they're pushing up aggressively and quickly
are you funded by Big Infiltrate
yes
I am the Sneaky Cat
OH ALSO FUNNY INTERACTION
you can underhand toss shredder frag grenades without breaking stealth
you have the time to drop all three before stealth breaks if you wanted to
that's actually funny asf
beware of dropping kraks because if they stick to something they'll break stealth when they pop
smoke grenades can also be underhand dropped without breaking stealth
if you turn a corner into 8 ragers you can hit infiltrate and while they're running into your squad you can drop two shredder frag grenades to bleed them to death before opening fire into their backs
the only rough part about shredder frag grenades + infiltrate is
the worm
i wish matchmaking would stop putting me with new players
teaching moment
i have 100 hours it's just my vet that's low level game PLEASE
I'm surprised there are so many new people/returning people but it's fun to see people back like this
even if it makes some matches more stressful
ALSO EXAMPLE OF THE WORM...
i've literally only gotten level 7-9 players who die instantly on diff 3 while im like "i dont even know how to play vet for the love of god stop dying"
cutting across from left to right or vice versa is pretty awkward for talent point expense
but on the bright side it lets you comfortably grab Demo Stockpile if you wanted to
on the bright side you can still feed an Ogryn constant nukes from Field Improv
Is the mk 7 still the best recon lasgun
just hoard an ammo crate and then give it to the Ogryn and tell them to go nuts
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY WORM
Recon Mk II and Recon Mk VIIa are both the best general purpose Lasguns now. Recon Mk II has better ammo economy and SLIGHTLY better single target DPS, Recon Mk VIIa has cleave and better damage if you stack rending to melt Crushers with it
So yyyyes kinda
so ....
helbore homies will not stand for this automatic nonsense
tanner made a new video
Love the worm
Inb4 backup clips this to take it out of context.
just threw on a recon lasgun, it has to be getter than the helbore and braced autoguns right? right??
can we just agree to ... eh ... leave the guy alone?
I feel like there is no winning on either side with that situation
worse has been clipped out of this channel
Depends on the model and helbores/brautoguns aren't to be slept on.
who is tanner and why are we leaving him alone
I hear the mk6 recon is... not good.
the charge and shite accuracy ruin them for me
I still say the Helbore Mk II is one of THE best weapons in the entire game when you pair it with the right talent tree, perks, blessings and stats. I ran a No Ammo Maelstrom earlier leaning heavily on my Helbore Mk II throughout the match and never went empty. I think the lowest I came as we reached the assassination target was 234 rounds in reserve with a full clip in the gun?
Infinite ammo gun LOL
a semi controversial figure from the community, some say he does one thing while he claims he does another
You need the right blessings on both of them to make them worth using.
Helbores excel with surgical and weight of fire.
Their ammo economy is unmatched when you have shock trooper.
dont know if he tries to farm sympathy or if he is genuine, i only like to deal with absolute certainty
He went on a massive rant about the D-tide community
Brautoguns, I don't know much about, but I'm sure they're actually quite good if you roll them right.
apparently some telling him to off himself, which i know the sane people in this community wont do and there is always the badle apples in one
I used to be a helbore denier until I got a god roll one.
Respectfully I don't think anyone much cares for some internet microcelebrity.
recon las is so much better holy crap
That's kinda crazy but I'm not really watching the Tanner drama too closely
As rude as the dude can be that's definitely taking things too far
well it was (apparently) enough for some people to tell him to off himself
Yeah! It got major buffs 😄
I've been whispered things in WoW that feel like they're worse tbh
again, i do not know the whole story, but apparently thats "just the way he is" and he does not mean harm ... but again to that i say ... you dont wanna change for anyone, which is fine, but be ready that people are not okay with the contra they might send your way
not that it's a competition but like
neyyyeerrr
block and ignore
I've been whispered things in d2 that I should go to therapy for.
Especially after trials matches.
I quit WoW during Shadowlands and have never looked back, and do not plan on ever going back tbh
altho people who are that lost in the sauce that they're going after the guy's very life are probably either not active in here to the point they can be talked to
yeah f bombs and offing oneself is defs too far over a video game tbf
or are so deranged they're not going to reveal themselves
bad actors almost never reveal themselves
4chan will get them, don't you worry.
I don't think anyone here would say stuff like that tbh but people do like to clown on his opinions, especially the ones he presents as facts
Seriously, 4chan has found so many weirdos online for the FBI it's actually kind of scary.
the worst here seems to be jokingly making tanner tuesdays a channel fun day
and that's a very strong use of
I only said that as a joke LMFAO
'worst'
I don't think that's ever going to be a thing
more that it's just funny that Tanner as a topic has come up so often lately so I joked it might as well be a Vet chat weekly holiday
the vibe just seems to be ppl see him as a guy who is frequently overconfidently wrongers
tbh some of his vids DO have useful info imo
the problemo with videos in general is that you can have a mostly good one
I learned how Toughness Regen as a curio perk works from one of his vids and before that vid I was running that perk on all my curios constantly
but have some problems
and then it's a massive pain in the ass to update everything
because the video is out there and you cant edit it live once posted
His "damage is a dump stat" video is also misleading because it's clickbait and 10 seconds in he acknowledges that before explaining that damage is only important if it earns you a breakpoint and anything more is meaningless fluff
which is correct yeah
but most people don't actually test breakpoints in the Psykanium
so the default of "Damage 80%" even if it's extreme is just born from people not wanting to do math and big number makes it easier
don't have to think about if your damage stat is high enough for breakpoints, don't have to test them
it is 80 so if you don't meet the breakpoint it is because of perks/blessings/talents
though he also did call people here gorillas which made me laugh LOL
\o/
there's definitely some hate being thrown around from the community at him, and from him at the community
it's weird that there are now two videos I know of where the poster has a fight with the darktide discord
how do you know that ogryns dont get kidney stones
yeah idk I can't imagine being that upset that I'd make a video of being upset but then I'm not a youtuber so
CONGRATS!
i drink enough "fluid" i count coffee as a fluid its got water in it
they'd be kidney boulders in an Ogryn's case
@old quail show urself u cave dwelling creature
i just want an ogryn kidney stone necklace
he knows how uncomfortable it would be to be grape shaped
total and utter nonsense
Okay so I just used the mk 7 recon and its A LOT better, i wanna use the mk2 though because its base skin is green😭
i do not see any data suggesting that ogryn do not live past 30
josho's gameplay on ogryn
and even so, if age 30 t o them is like living to 100 in a human
then age 15 would put them well within kidney stone development range
when will dan abnett weigh in on the kidney stone controversy
The Recon Mk II is still good! And I also prefer it not just because of the slightly better single target DPS and better ammo efficiency, but ALSO because it matches PERFECTLY with the Elysian outfit!
Idk the elysian one but i have a lot of green skins, ill try the mk2
I love the Elysians so much
They're my fav regiment
Oh yeah that is nice
The Recon Mk II also looks really good with Cadian sets though!
every time someone posts a picture of elysians GW writes another blurb in which a regiment of them gets slaughtered
They also canonically use Recons!
I like the fact the scion is the same colour as the executioner stance
I hope we get a Grav Chute cosmetic in the store eventually
it would be perfect to complete the look
grav chute backpack please
The green bag fits this
When are we getting these bastards?
Oh does "onslaught" work for guns?
Does your name mean bolter and autopistol or bolter and bolt pistol?
Both bolt
Then figure it out yourself
Joking
I believe its ranged too
I was actually testing damage in grinder with bpistol earlier and i got less dps without it
But ill go try it again just to make sure
Yup, all kinds of damage
Oh
Grenades too, but not the DoT
Really good if you want it to deal with crushers, but it's a bit awkward to get in the talent tree
Onslaught is very good for the Recon Mk VId because the ADMs on some types are a bit low so the brittleness offsets that
but it's only 2.5% brittleness per stack, 1 stack per shot, max stacks 16 for a total 40% brittleness at cap
The Recon Mk VId hits that cap FAST
the Recon Mk VIIa shoots too slowly to get much value out of it
and the value with the Recon Mk II is also questionable
but it does help all Recons perform better on Crushers
it just helps the Recon Mk VId more than the other two variants
amazing FS is going in another vaccation 😎
but the good news!
they fixed the paid cosmetic skin for the boltpistol
they just removed the candle in first person
it's still visible to others afaik
just no longer in your eyes
dude I'm right there with them LOL
I wish I had that many vaccations XD
I've got a vacation in August and a vacation set up for September too
just gotta spread out the PTO
americans cannot comprehend the notion of holidays
you're asking the wrong people
or rather
am asian, do not know what is holiday except government mandated holidays
anyone who would bother listening to such a plea is probably not the person who sends such things in the first place
nevermind someone like tanner
you can have nice and friendly people still get thrown shit like that, ppl who do that sorta thing will just do it
how do I use mk4 Knife again XP I know there is a cleave combo but I forgor
if something like empathy was on their plate to begin with to listen to such a request they wouldn't be the type to do it in the first place
my friend recently post a cosplay she did, she's also an amazing artist (like actually, she has lines to her booth/sells out when she travels to events)
from a brief glance it looks like a bossmanjack spiral
most ppl are supportive but she gets a message telling her she wasted her life drawing anime and is a fat ugly fuck
lol
ppl are just like that
same hing happens to some vtubers, the type of people that would listen to "dont start drama" are not the shit stirrers in the first place in general
are you talking about mk6?
there is no mk4
there's two main options imo
[] brackets are the part you loop
Heavy Heavy [Light Heavy]
[Heavy Heavy] QQ/block cancel
thanks
hey guys do you have any build with buffed accatran lasgun?
I dont know depends which one is best, but I guess that fastest one is still best right?
nno
no*
the 7 was and still is the best one
after the initial nerf months ago a tleast
well
oh
im guessing you want to use 7 then
its the best one because all 3 have similar dps but 7 has cleave
the fastest one has the niche of being able to stack onslaught very fast to kill crushers but its a big point investment on the tree to kill crushers with your gun and not much else
k didnt know about that
not really worth if you want to be "optimal" but there's someone here who loves doing it
hence me asking which one you wanted to use
3 pts to go wherever you want
if you need melee talents
or just wanna take other grenade talent
or w/e
determined (suppression immunity) might be worth taking too
i dont think its strictly necessary for recons but it can be nice if you find yourself getting suppressed by gunners a lot
and do you have any with executioner stance? 🤔
yea
instead of voice of command
u just switch lanes
but you lose 1 pt to use
because voc pathing is overpowered
switching lanes to voc saves you 1 pt
ok gonna try it
What build is this for
mk7 recon
I just realised the gunners gun looks like an mg42
Shocktrooper works on recon now?
and perks are flak/maniac with infernus and something else?
no
well
flak m aniac yes
headhutner + dumdum or infernus(?)
I gotta go adjust my build then
mk7 used to be headhunter + dumdum only
but they buffed infernus last patch
it may be worthwhile now on the slower firing recons
it used to be only good on the fast one (6d)
idk i havent tested it though
you can be a guinea pig if you like
headhunter + dumdum is 100% good for sure though
just infernus might be a valid sidegrade now
but havent tested so i dont feel comfortable saying yes or no to that
Did they buff shovels
Why would the shovels be buffed
not to my knowledge
tbh i should just get into psykarium and at least test the dps of infernus vs dumdum on mk7 now but i keep forgetting
dont think i can be assed to actually roll one to test in a real game though
should I learn headhunter 4 and put it on this gun? just because there is already dumdum and can switch stamina for flak
yeah
the right one is a godroll basically
well
not a godroll, the ammo could be a bit higher
but dumdum t3 doesnt matter
its literally 0.5% dmg per stack difference so
barely matters
just swap the 2 stam to flak, swap sustained fire to headhunter
and u have a better one than i do
yea looks solid as fug
you should be good
they're basically
decent guns now
not top tier or anything but
if you like your rapid fire laser gun
its like solid b tier gun imo
the main thing that rly crippled them before is the shitty maniac dps, but now its passable enough that you dont cry every time you have to shoot specialists
me when new gun isnt overpowered as plasma:
and it has the niche of near 0 recoil and shocktrooper making the clip fairly large compared to autogun counterparts
i find i tweird zealot is excluded from using it but not psyker tbh
Shockmaul
which is basically
everything except a dclaw
so as long as u dont use a dclaw
you're fine
I can use this one or this
Huh what was that?
always thought it shared a place with shotguns
zealot gets half
and psyker gets the other half
cleave dmg being low-ish mgiht be bad though? idk, since ur using sunder and not bromentum
but cara is more useful than unarmored
tbh wierdest thing for me is that headhunter isnt locked out of zealot
yeah but like that new sunder buff for heavy attacks
^
oh lol
then use left ig
if you want to spam heavies
mk6 is still the better weapon overall
but
not like mk3 is a bad weapon by any means
and if you want to use sunder heavy spam
its better than the 6 at that
sunder buff was secretely a mk3 psword buff
this is pre sunder buff

kill 4 rager in one power
idk it might be able to kill 5 now'
Recon 7a is genuinely very fun now
my question is now how do i get it on zealot

Mk 2 is fun too
that's the neat thing, you equip the laspistol
I will have to give it a try yet, albeit I really like that the 7a has cleave
when will they give mk12 ilas a cleave that matches 7a recon?

i think the cleave is invaluable on recon yea
i like heavy weaponry out of the buncha variants having upside as a extra cleave
which ilas doesnt have
Why do you have a keyboard art shrug as an emoji
i can only still kill 4 😔
I don't, some server has
I could do the shortcut to evoke it
¯_(ツ)_/¯
like this
but Discord makes it a bit easier I suppose
Mk2 recon doesn't want high collateral still, no?
Oh
Collateral can be fun for pairing with Exe Stance to stagger Ragers
It's normally a dump stat though
Deathspitter to Dum Dum, crit chance to Maniac and it is ready
dont you extra-dump to line the headshots?
Depends on your head tracking and how much you value stunlocking a Rager to keep the danger away
Not very, I suppose
i tested the wierd claim of me oneshotting 6 ragers before
looks like the furhtest two were shot to like half health, hm
But if you like dodge backpedaling away from rager swings while aiming head height you either want collateral low or you want to skip Exe Stance
i assumed you meant they were dmged anyway from the start
when i did it it was the furthest two that were facing the team
i killed it all in a left-right swing
So far I played the Mk7a with VoC, I've yet to play with the Exec stance, but the current state of pubs somewhat discourages me from doing that
test does show that the furthest two doesnt obviously get affected by BM and doesnt get killed
ill just assume they were shot to half health
the back ones were full
wait infiltrate sneak attack damage applies on the attack that breaks stealth?
duh
which is why i use it
its not shroudfield but with how much vet packs it can rival that
I read it as you gain damage buff when you lose stealth XDDD
yea
I didn't know it apply buff on the attack that breaks it
but you also get the buff(including everything on the lower tree) exact moment you get out of stealth
Exe Stance is probably my fav ability right now. Infiltrate is a close 2nd though
damn, even For the Emperor?
yea
p sure yes
i think
Fuckin ell they didn't explain shit for that
in prechange to keystones vet they just didn't allow infiltrate to get For the Emperor
so you get +30% +15% + 10% damage for 5 seconds
Damn, infiltrate really point hungry
you can be extra spicy if you go for marksman but why kek
unless 50% toughness resist is optional;
also infiltrate usually doesnt get used like this
i just use it like this
usually peple just pick the -90% threat one
and then skip all the nodes
I pick only the double charges
i usually overwatch + low profile
mostly cause it either conflicts with the threat, makes the cooldown abysmal, or doesnt provide any BP advantage
i like it tho
but ye it eats up points
then again vet has this, and this
ngl Exe stance without counter fire is good in aurics since elites and specialists are the common fodder I guess
true
but it exists kekw
20% toughness recovery every weapon swap is cool
i do like the idea of on your toes but the furthest two subnodes are quite worthless
that one is fine yes
but the furthest out ones are pretty badf
invig is great though
even if it provided like bonkers stats it might not even be picked cause points kek
20% instant stamina regen sounds situational
its nice if u run deadshot with a knife
20% stamina gives you enough to push atk twice
incidentally crushers die to heavy -> push -> push
so
tree with the deadshot talent is the only keystone in vet's arsenal that doesnt have a stamina regen
works out well
mk6 or mk3 combo?
I know mk6 has insane finesse on pushattack compared to mk3
so deadshot absolutely requires other keystones to work
but like deadshot not working with its "designated tree" always confuses me
then again this isnt the first time fatshank does this
nope its the same
Ah
both have push attack as their highest dps
Nice
I just thought that thrusting push attacks just have better finesse in general lol
its annoying to do it consistently is what matters kek
iu did too but when i tested it it has exact same dmg profile
just the motion diff
no finesse no crit no wp nothing
Does that mean Catachan mk4 and mk7 push attack are the same?

I will be real catachan claws are cool but I think I might need a rashad to kill armored enemies XP
it does not
does more dps than ehavy spam though
so if you dont have any stam
its an option
hm
well
we tested on vet
idk how marty would change things though
so id assume so
Use the revolver
i would but i wanna use the bolt because of the gimmick
Your fav melee vs horde? Need something with a quick attack pattern. Mk3 ps and rashad are awesome but feel slow when you need to get out of a pinch
weapon specialist
what does that do
guarantees a gun crit after melee kill
gives an melee attackspeed buff after a gun kill
i see
I always thought the WS modifiers are a bit of a clusterfuck. Just roll the melee/ranged nodes into one each and have it have 3 modifier nodes. There you go, not overpowered and simple. Noone is taking the outermost nodes anyways.
What are the perks and blessings to look out for for agni maul?
Perk wise I know flak and maniac are solid choices
Blessings I haven’t fully touched on myself so I can’t give too informed of an opinion
high voltage/skullcrusher is safe to run
there are other options but you cant really go wrong with 2 dmg ups
I've finally done it. Phew
Noice
I still need thoses 2 vet penances that are the stealth supression and the krak one. They are just so tedious
my last 3 ones were the smoke screen, the stealth supression and the adept assassin
Whats thr adept assasin one again
weapon specialist, kill specials/elites with a weak spot crit
250 kills
Ih thats easy just us a high crit weapon
Stealth suppression is really easy. Just pop stealth and walk up to a crowd of shooters and start meleeing.
Vld and youre good in 2 days max
Combo that with a tac-axe for maximum crit cheese
Or use plasma abd use the blessing that gives you huger crit chance with higher charge
that's basically how I got mine
Because melee counts towards progress
60/60 on Psyker and Veteran. 60/61 for ogryn, still need that 25 kills with one bomb 25 times
can't ba arsed to use bomb, when rock is better
worst penance left for Zealot, the Behind Enemy Lines one
How do people actually enjoy the power sword?
This is the slowest melee I've ever used and i've been using the new picks on Ogryn
Especially with the new speed added to chaff enemies
even without melee points its still pretty fast
compared to other weapons
@wise fossil Halfdan? no i want the fulldan
Just wait until you meet Quarterdan
okay brunt
i mean
rashad is very slow
just taht its quite reliable to get kills with every strike
Rashad is a medium weapon, Psword is heavy. The dodge distance is much greater with Rashad, as is the uptime without the requirement to activate
what perks for the Vlla
Haven’t tried shock maul much, my plateeel mainly went to Ogryn pickaxes
That’s pretty cool
Not “my build”, it’s just plasma itself having very strict breakpoints
The revolvers, which one is generally considered best?
headtaker & slaughterer
zarona
Ok ty
I mean
The attack speed of the rashad is on the slow end

And yes the psword has one of the least defensive options
It has one of the best offensive capabilities though

Really was not looking to argue the finer points of these weapons tbh. I asked how people enjoy the Psword because it seems I'm missing something. Everyone talks about how great it is, so I assume there's some tip or technique I'm not using
which power sword
6?
u need to learn block cancel
and the push atk combo
Push attack into light to 2 shot crusher, right?
What's the block cancel?
u block cancel as soon as the weapon charges up
When you get the red role
Which happens when you message a certain number of times on the discoord
I can send it to u rn if u want
has a few sections unfinished
i need a vet guide too pls
i dont even know why I want it, I finished vet penances so I prob wont be playing it for a while 😔
it's unfinished (has a few sections left) but I can send in dm if u want
🙏
I'll wait for it to be finished. Having numbers and whatnot on hand for a class is quite nice.
gonna be a while cuz I haven't checked how the new weapons' blessings work exactly
i wish you could use the taze special on smite psykers to instantly kill them
It does? I thought someone here tested it when it released and said it didn’t
Is the timing on the cancel input right when the powered sound happens?
Okay I see, it's actually immediately before the charge sound
"Block canceling"
The Emperor does not love those who hesitate, I am mashing m1 Gorilla style
idk someone in psyker chat claimed it did
Idk what ranged weapon I should go for now to pair with my shock maul. I’ve been using db and recon mk2, but I also have bistol and plasma
WS got me wanting to try everything
You suggested vraks right?
What should I aim for on it? Stats perks blessings yk
With weapon specialist you want a weapon with singular high-damage shots, so
- Revolver
- Plasma gun
- Bolt Pistol
weapon specialist plasma got nerfed this patch
Whahappen
Long deserved Veteran nerf as they say
plasma with weapon specialist needs longshot for 1 tap dreg gunner & both flamers, unless u want to run weird perks
so if the enemy gets somewhere in <14m u lose 1 tap vs these guys
it's a nerf that only really matters for WS plasma
but it does matter a lot for WS plasma
Oh yeah, Longshot would be less effective now huh
Welp, more points for Determined on Bolter
boltgun doesn't get impacted by longshot nerf much
and u still would take longshot to get to volley adept anyways
Ye I was joking
Could this be worth it?
Replace Puncture with Surgical and you've got the funniest headpopper ever
save it for crafting update
it's not bad but could be better
10% weakspot is not very good
What's the crafting update?
complete itemization, crafting & gear progression overhaul
Nice
So like September
Sep/Oct prob
DAMN NORWAY AND THEIR ADEQUATE WORKER'S PROTECTIONS
unironically better to play games where the devs crunch
none of this "take a whole month off" BS smh
well it's actually more like two months if you factor in the holiday
Thoughts?
Just got as a gift from the emperor, looks good
Wanna know if I should rank it up again. I would assume yes
Woohoo! Finally got a 21% health in shop
What's with norway?
Afaik they get like a whole month vacation ensured by worker's rights
Which is objectively a good thing I should add
Same here in Sweden.
I am not familiar with the details, I've known only one Norwegian person in my whole life and she tried to groom me into joining a neonazi organization
good for workers, bad for players
Didn't work because I'm not a nazi and I'm also not Norwegian
Which should've clashed with the whole anti-immigrantion bit from the beginning but what do I know
any objections here
what is good on the chainsword blessing wise
how is this shit not filtered?
which chainsword
old one
ty
would I put rampage and bloodletter together?
or is savage sweep the important one
Savage sweep helps horde clear more than rampage from what we tested
U can report him in FS forums
i just checked my 12 builds and only have more than 200 health on the tryhard one 😄
not really criticism though, its a valid point
No one said anything on this so imma try again
Low stopping power
yeah. solid gun otherwise
Bet
stopping power might be more important than you think
It’s a big one because u might miss breakpoints from that
if you like helbores invest in getting a better one soon
Might just keep it until itemization update tho
Contingent on how long that’ll be though
2~4 months is my guess
September is earliest
What kind of breakpoints will I miss with the stopping power problem
Cuz I figure the likelihood of me getting this lucky again is nil
Mainly maniac & flak enemies
Also helbore 1 best perks are elite + maniac
Alr bet I can change flak to maniac
Trash or workable?
Gonna be using it with WS
A bit too low on ammo lol
I know, but I can probably live with that if everything else is good. If it’s not I’ll just dump it and keep trying
My range is pretty much my special/elite sniper
its just 330 base stats youll soon get better
Normally people don’t bother with <360 rated weapons
Yeah I usually don’t but I’ve seen some weird stuff before
But yeah Alr bet I’ll just get another
Ok nvm this is dead in terms of a perfect roll
Infernus is not good on Helbore
Weight of fire maybe?
Everything else it’s not good
Oh okay bet
Is there a weight of fire 3/4 or does it stop at 2?
Cuz I only have 2 rn
It has up to IV
Ok I’ll just use 2 til then, then
a shame infernus is so meh :c
if it was an AOE ignition then at least it'd be worth considering
It should be tbh but that would be way too strong on recons
lets be honest, Recon needs all the help it can get
less than a month of "pretty good" status for Recon
then never again 😔
bruh
more impressive they are going to make it to 30 with that name
Not unless someone reports the name
inb4reconnerfround2
would be genuinely funny if they nerfed recon back to dogshit tier
I’m assuming there’s some breakpoint for toughness that needs +16% since you specified getting a blessing, but including an explanation, even if it’s just “vet like tuffnyess hehe mowo tuffnyess gud :3,” is better than bluntly saying “take at least 1 toughness curio.”
Idk what order you’re sorting with, but since getting >200 hp is a priority, I think the health section should be at the top so that’s the first thing people see here (prob doesn’t matter though)
I don’t think you need to mention that taking stamina curios has an opportunity cost since that should be obvious. Maybe mention Deadshot synergy with stamina.
I’m assuming you covered +wounds outside the screenshot
I’m just going over curio attributes one by one, no particular order here
Haven’t covered wounds yet
The stamina opportunity cost part is mentioned because it directly reduces your available options for getting 200+ health
If u run 2 health curios u already have 200+
That still leaves 1 slot open for toughness
If u run only 1 health you need to spec +health in curio perk slot or in talent tree
Running stamina curio in the first place essentially removes the 2 health curio option because you’re gonna get 1 toughness most of if not all the time
Mk 6 and 7 recons are pretty good rn, haven't tried the other one but I also got a nice buff
My toys:
man, trying to use the XII after recons is miserable
I have the opposite problem. Using a recon when my main lasgun is the mk12 is miserable because the stopping power is incomparable.
Is this all you plan on including for curios? There's a lot more to taking a +stam curio than just for blades/axes for example.
You could run 1 HP, 1 Stam and 1 Toughness curio with some HP perks/nodes from the talent tree without sacrificing too much
+21% HP, +5% HP curio perk, +5% HP curio perk = +31% HP and then you only need one of the talent nodes to reach the breakpoint
No this is just very start
since you want a Sniper resist perk anyway on one curio you could have the 2 HP perks on the other curios and that still leaves you with 6 more spots between the curios to divide between other perks
The extra stam curio just feels too nice to pass up most times even outside of Deadshot imo
More sprinting, more blocking, more push attacks
There’re other curio stuff to cover ofc
It's so much easier to get a downed squadmate up with 1 stam
no stam curio and a small group of poxwalkers is going to overwhelm you before you can get the revive
forcing you to grenade or use shout or infiltrate
with the 1 stam curio you can sprint up, get slapped and block basic strikes without needing to pop a grenade or ability
the biggest hurdle I felt when running funny triple toughness curios for memes was realising I needed to drop a grenade or kill everything surrounding a downed squadmate if I wanted to rescue someone
Extra stam is nice for pulling revives yes
Or just VoC lol
I think the weird pitch for HP is the 2x poxburster baseline for health to make 200 HP a breakpoint criteria if you will for vet HP
poxburster is not the only breakpoint for 200 health
One, that's assuming you've taken 0 chip damage up to that very specific scenario, which is weird to then take something like 5% HP just to meet it.
I just haven't gotten to sniper resist part yet
ideally u want a bit more than >200, not exactly 201
which is why getting 2 health curios matters
Nah just do the build based entirely around not having your toughness broken by snipers
then u need 200+ toughness, 3x sniper resist and both iron will & close order drill at max coherency
If you don't take enough toughness, then your % for mitigation against health degrades the less you invest into it. Especially with vet modifiers. Mathematically it's to your advantage commit to neither and balance both for Effective Hit Points (EHP).
that breakpoint is significantly less practical than 200hp for both burster & sniper
what's "enough toughness" to u
Just do it forhead, not so hard
Unless you are building entire around a couple specialist use cases, which then most experienced players would tell you to not get hit by snipers and dodge.
"jsut dont get shot"
Depends on if you are running VoC or not, and your average uptime. Vet makes it a bit more complicated than the other classes.
"just don't get hit" is not really an effective counterargument to building for these resistance type breakpoints
How do curio perks stack btw, additive or multiplicative?
depends on which one ur talking abt
Of course it isn't just one or the other
how silly of me
salvageable?
My point is some will argue to not build against the breakpoints at all, and instead build to maximizing the amount of melee chip damage you can take, which then requires a balance of toughness/HP, and even stam depending on weapon.
Enemy specific resistances?
multiplicative
Doesn't look like it. All the blessings and perks are non-optimal.
Save it for the itemization patch though
How about block efficiency?
multiplicative
Or is there somewhere I can look so I dont ask you each one
maybe there should be a guide for this
Maybe a better question is which ines are additive
I think minimizing chip dmg applies to any & all builds and doesn't vary by that much from what curios ur taking, at least on veteran
Yeah that's what I mean. You're forced into wasting VoC on trash to get off a revive, drop a grenade or you have to kill everything with melee/range on approach to get the revive off with no stam curios. Having even just one Stam curio lets you do it comfortably without needing to burn resources
No Stam curios means even 3 poxwalkers are going to break your block while trying to revive
the only thing u can rly bring up in "minimizing chip" is vs large waves of ranged horde then it's just +toughness stack being better than mostly everything else
2 poxwalkers will do it if you are not at full Stam with 0 Stam curios
If you are pushing 2x HP curios over 1x HP and 1x Toughness, the former is less effective than the latter unless you are maintaining VoC or gold toughness 100% of the time.
Talking purely chip damage effective HP.
Sometimes the extra seconds of time or burned resources can matter a bunch during and after the revive
give me a calculation method for this
unless you already have a better one, just slap on dumdum over sustained and swap reload speed for flak
it's a ciag so you'll be fine with 1 bad blessing
and I never once said 2x health vs 1 health 1 toughness
I used to do a whole bunch of math shit for WoW EHP back in the day when I no lifed it. Seeing if I can dig up any of the formulas that might apply. The complex issue is that toughness depreciates, unlike armor in WoW, which then derives a curve essentially for mitigation value.
I said 2 health gives u more options on the remaining slots
u can run 2 health + 1 toughness
There's probably an argument for having just on the edge of HP breakpoint being bad because chip damage is inevitable for a lot of people and if less than 10 chip damage drops you below the breakpoint then it isn't going to help when it matters most
Probably why Numbers Cat advocates for 2 HP curios to offset chip damage somewhat
it's basically this
because 2x health straight up is +40%
if u worry abt chip dmg then u still can build other +health in perk slots because 2x health gives u perk slot options
if u take 1 +3 stam
Yeah though you can also reasonably reach +40% HP through 1 HP curio, perks and talents. It just requires a more strict set up
ur forced into 1 health + 3x 4~5% health
this just barely sends u over the 200 breakpoint
+21%, +5% (perk), +5% (perk), +5% (talent), +5% (talent) = +41% HP
You still hit the same HP breakpoint 2 HP curios do but you trade curio perk slots and talent points to hit it which is honestly preferable for some just to have the Stam curio instead of running 2 HP
2 curio perk slots don't seem so bad either
as for the "these breakpoints don't matter that much" argument, then getting 1 health vs no health makes almost no difference when things go horribly wrong
because 150 vs 180 just don't matter that much
taking both +5% from talent is extremely rare
because ur forced to go top left into krak
That's the best way to have a steak
at most ur getting a single +5% in tree
after longshot nerf I can't rly think of a reason to go top left anymore
Though yeah if you only get 1 HP talent you will need the third curio perk
Even still that is worth imo
+3 Stam is just a MASSIVE quality of life increase
for reviving? yea
for knife/tac axe, yea
For sprinting, blocking, push attacks, revives
And of course
My fav talent
Deadshot
sprint efficiency outperforms +stam on vast majority of weapons
block is uh, not that relevant outside of a few enemies
push atk yes, but most weapons don't utilize multiple push attacks in a combo
The distance you get from having sprint efficiency coupled with +3 Stam means when you get where you mean to go you have Stam to play with for push attacks, shoving, blocking, etc.
Or the revive
do u actually check how far u can go with 3x sprint efficiency at 6 stam
Don't shovels also use push attack in their combo to kill Crushers? Push attack is also incredibly useful for Power Sword Mk VI
Like push attacks are just very useful outside of just two weapons
And being able to do more is a nice bonus
which of these actually spams multiple PAs in a single combo
Yuri showed a vid using shovel with Uncanny to kill a Crusher by spamming push attacks
I vaguely remember it from last night
The point is that being able to use multiple push attacks is a very nice quality of life increase
You do less of them with no Stam curios
Like there's nothing wrong with 2 HP, 1 Toughness but your Stam barely exists and you either need to offset that by using sprint efficiency/block efficiency and grab Stam as a perk on your chosen melee weapon
Or
Grab Stam curios and trade a few curio slots to still effectively meet the HP breakpoint
This always comes down to a preference from the player
This is essentially what I mean by applying a formula for EHP. The scale in between in green (i.e. 99% - 0% toughness remaining) is where you'd apply your % toughness damage mitigated value, then determine what balance between Toughness and HP is most effective.
Neither will ever be objectively better than the other
u can go check shovel rn, if ur going for a single target standard shovel set-up the build doesn't need more than 2 pushes vs crusher
It's entirely on whether someone's loadout/style would rather have the Stam curio or if they don't need the extra stam and would rather free up the curio perk slots for something else
I can find the vid one sec
and u physically cannot throw pushes out on shovel as fast as smth like knife
yea ik how melee bleedthrough works, what's the actual effective health you're suggesting here with consideration to toughness gain in combat, TDR conditional activations, and enemies' atk dmg values
Yes but that was never the point of the clip either
#veteran-class message
yea u can throw 4 PAs to kill a crusher, in actual practice ur not going to spam PAs like that because crushers' sweep breaks all stamina if it lands while ur doing PA
It's less about matching Knife speed because I don't think much can, but more showing Shovel Uncanny TTK on Crushers
If you have no Stam and eat the hit then push attacks either were never an option or you failed the dodge and messed up the combo
ik what it looks like, it's 3 hit if u build for it
what's the actual argument ur trying to make here
for +stam?
hey how are people getting more than one hit out of the power on thw power sword i thought they removed that
power cycler blessing
I know you know what it looks like, the point is that it is easier to do with a Stam curio and harder to pull off without
Stam just makes everything easier
That's my point LOL
Like every aspect of the game from mobility to melee play becomes more comfy with a single Stam curio vs without
And that is never something you will measure in numbers because it is playstyle dependent and up to the player to decide
So you should naturally share info on how to reach the breakpoint in different ways vs 1 cookie cutter method
Because your method may not vibe with everyone
witch power sword do you think is better or are they both equal
I did ?
I said as long as u reach >34%
mk6 is better
Tbh 34%+ is even easier to hit with 1 less HP curio/perk but the chip damage is too spicy
good cause i already started upgrading one
Unless your super lucky you should get ready to upgrade many more of them
i figured
you hit +36% HP with just one HP curio, two perks and one talent or one HP curio, one perk, both talents
here's the other thing ur not considering
but +41% is way safer for chip
I like weaving in PA with Knife for hordes tbh for the shove and to take out a target, especially mixed hordes where I need the shove control and may want to bop a Rager on the nose
if you're just hunting for power cycler, you can upgrade either one since they share blessings
on tac axe that's every single enemy
on shovel it's not
on standard shovel u only use PA exclusively for high mass elites
Since I'm used to the funny meme of triple stam I'm used to being able to freely slip in a push attack during combos to help control waves
And even just the one stam curio helps me keep that playstyle because I find it fun
running a 3stam drops ur chip dmg tolerance & curio perk availability so u can squeeze out 2 more PAs
what ur thinking here is not +stam
Yeah and those two extra PAs are way more important imo
Because it's not just those 2 PAs
it's better blocking, sprinting, shoving, push attacks, easier rescues
it's just better everything
on top of more stam to offset Deadshot stam burning in combo with Target Down
besides easier res everything else here I've already disbuted
for my playstyle it's just better to run vs 2 HP curios and I'm not really losing anything that 2 HP curio playstyle provides other than like... 1-2 perk slots?
Yeah your build uses more perks to offset those things
We have different builds/playstyles
2 health gives u 8 slots to work with
and 1 HP still gives you 6-7
i wish they would add a two handed power sword but i fear they would only give to psyker or zealot
again, besides meme build nobody takes both +5% in talent tree
1 HP perk, 2 HP talents and you're at +36% HP
so it's only 5% health from talent tree
u have to take 3x 5% health to reach the same kind of numbers
plus the 1 sniper resist
even with just one of the 5% HP talents, you only need 2 HP perks to meet at +36% but you have to be more wary of chip damage
that's 5 slots
full toughness gang
for just barely going above 200 health it's 6 slots
for reaching same health it's 5 slots
Ok, the DB is a lot of fun
HP Curio +21%
+5% HP
+20% Sniper Resist
+(Insert perk of choice here)
Toughness Curio
+5% HP
(Insert perk of choice here)
(Insert perkof choice here)
Stam Curio
(Insert perk of choice here)
(Insert perk of choice here)
(Insert perk of choice here)
with one HP talent you hit the breakpoint
unless you're planning on changing the guide to say 40%+
because the 36% HP is easy to hit there
Yeah that's the tradeoff though
yes this is 6 slots to barely reach 200 health if u take a health talent
To have stam vs having the leeway for curio perks
+Toughness
+Sprint
+Block
+CDR
The superior build
3x 15% sprint efficiency is based and strong
Wounds
Exp
Dockets
Toughness Regen
for when you want people to wonder how you function

and that tradeoff is acknowledged
Yes and it hits the >+34% HP breakpoint still
so idk what ur yapping abt at this point
Yeah idk why we're arguing because we've both talked this to death and at this point anyone watching can see the pros and cons of having stam curio vs doubling down on HP
no idk what ur even trying to argue about
Grab stam if you want it, or don't if you don't
oi, dont badmouth dockets perks
in the very same ss I sent, I already acknowledged the downside of getting a stam curio
1 stam curio, 1 HP and 1 Toughness is not only possible with your HP breakpoint but it's also not a meme LOL
and there are good reasons for it
oh i thought you just kept arguing because it blows your top or whatever
but like idk I don't think you were trying to understand my perspective at all
I never even said that in the first place
no bloodletter?
You were laser focused on your 2 HP recommendation
I think u misunderstood in the first place
Tbh I do like arguing LOL
I think we have that in common tbh
no, I said it gives more options
I never said stam is bad
nuh uh
I did not misunderstand what ur saying, ur here yapping abt smth I acknowledged in the first place
Ok
Anyway yeah daily goofy argument aside
I'm still happy to glance at my phone and see people gushing about Recons
now that that's over with
and see Recon users in quickplay constantly
tanner
Lol
I've almost had a squad of Recon users
don't give me this passive aggressive tone just tell what u want to say
they are still in the honeymoon phase
soon the novelty will wear off
same for new weapons really
oh you missed it last night someone was here talking about how Tanner made a new vid addressing people in the community telling him to off himself
the only difference is that recon do occupy a sort of well defined design space unlike any new weapon added
I believe that people have fallen in love with the new Recons and that they will remain long-term a fun weapon that people like to use
Not an everyday every match weapon (unless you're me)
my mind is so poisoned that i thought you meant he made a new recon mk 6 about the community
but definitely a fun weapon people take out for fun
you use recon bc it's fun, i uyse recon bc i dont have any other options, we are not the same
If they ever delete Recons I delete myself out of the discord and game
Taking 3 stam gets you a lot more breathing room in dense melee
yea that ik, what did I say that u think is wrong
@somber axle
I wear clown make up, my nose honks, my shoes jingle where I walk and I like to breakdance for Wolfer's men
We have many, many differences
fatshark hq
trying to get a recon 2
put me out of my misery and let me escape to the next hyperfixation game please 😩
for me it'll be monster hunter wilds
it is a very pretty base model that matches well with the standard green colours you see on Cadian and Elysian skins
sounds like the same story for lot of people when HD2 released
just for them to get disillusioned/disappointed

A few friends and I are planning on tackling that together multiplayer coop campaign style
but also Space Marine 2!
HD2 isnt stressful enough for my taste
every time you die in the game, stab yourself in the thigh
makes the game very gripping
space marine 2 looks to be fun
once you figure out how to do stealth in HD2 max difficulty Automaton missions become such a breeze
bug ops still remain a little tricky though
or if you don't do stealth and just try to play matches with pugs like an escort mission it can be stressful trying to protect your band of suicidal murder hobos trying to fight anything they can see
HD2 is an easy game by design
I want to play Space Marine 1 to prep for it
despite what devs try to sell
but it's only single player so I have to do it without friends
I'm used to that anyway playing in the Darktide community
i can work with this
Yo guys, what sword is the best one?
i love duck and dive
That's tricky because I'd want to change both blessings and the ranged crit damage but you can at least keep Stripped Down and Flak if you like Stripped Down memes
Probably Punishing Salvo to Dum Dum, ranged crit damage to Maniac (even if it pains me to recommend against having Headhunter)
the i can try my luck again with these
the 338 is the most attractive to me tbh
I'd almost say the 311 is better than the 357 but the mobility stat is just slightly too low
im at the mercy of hadron and plasteel
