giving me beastmen flashbacks from VT2
still need beastmen archers
Imagine if we got a dreg mauler... its just the dreg zerker witb a large, two handed axe.
not to be a total nerd, but I think my uptime with the revolver is higher than someone running Weapon Specialist for reloads
Speedload + Volley Adept op (also Nicholas god damn man solo'd the boss LMAO)
Idea came from this artwork the artist did for enemy design ideas.
Inb4 infested health type and insane stagger thresholds
Nah, theyd probably make it either maniac or unyielding.
Still insane stagger thresholds, though.
Need dreg ogryns.
Id like more ogryns
Lightly armored, fast moving ogryns.
Well, then you'd just have the early stages of a plague ogryn.
Not unique enough for fatshark to consider.
Methinks a lightly armored ogryn with a big ass sword is in order.
So a scab flavored crusher
Or be super annoying and give him two of the mauler chainaxes.
Comically sized rager.
We talking boss ideas?
All in all, just need more ogryn choices so gangs of 6 crushers don't roam around on high difficulties.
Excellent
Let's give the crushers power mauls
Maybe we should have a Chaos Bone'ead ogryn boss
Give him a ripper gun
May omnissiah bless you
buy 20 keep 1
i bought a single shovel on a whim and this is what it spit out
luck
idk is that good
Change the blessing to a tier 4 one
sounds good
That you don't want.
I mean that could be... funny.
Actually hrm
Don't delete it let's start with that
nah ill keep it for cope if the crafting update lets me edit at will
whats the best blessings for this?
ive already got an uncanny thrust one thats good, this is just arguably perfect stat distribution on a shovel
wait crafting update?
we can only pray
oh nice better stop crafting so much for now
Well you can craft now
the way they word it makes me think it wont touch crafting and only affects where we get items from
but like, this crafting system needs hardcore work. spend 1mil ordos to get a decent shovel only for it to roll unusable
yeah i just waste a lot aha
Fuck knows
According to playtesters the player base should like it.
As in the player base here they're normal not... not reddit.
lol reddit cant playtest
I mean the fact reddit as a whole is built on misery and getting angry.
yep its a sad wasteland over there
i was looking for update notes endless posts crying about everything
There's literally zero neuance on reddit when it comes to discussions because threads are either
"I fucking hate this thing" where "I hate this thing." Comments get upvoted or "I fucking love this thing" where "I love this thing" comments get upvoted.
where did you see playtester reactions?
just join a public match intresting range of poeple
People in pubs are nice!
You play this game you get nice people
How is the subreddit so fucking miserable
honest to god i would accept rolling white bases forever if it meant i get to craft weapons however i want
But like you say that and they're chill
yeah just funny i do it still
Once again the way the subreddit acts you think every public game would be as toxic and CS or League and they're just not
There's now a vet guide in the pins with general weapon answers
Depends on if you want to do the primarily heavy spam (optimal) or light spam with it
People on discord and in the game actually play Darktide. People on reddit have made a sport of complaining about a game they don't play. Or maybe they're just mad that they're stuck in Sedition/Malice at level 30
You'd be surprised how often someone will go months without touching a game but be ready to whine about it at the drop of a hat
Me
I did have a weirdo trying to ask personal questions to me mid match recently but I meme'd on them
And that's one weirdo out of hundreds of matches where people are chill
I had a middle aged man tell me about his divorce proceedings while in a damnation hab dreyko
I've had worse experiences from TF2 and WoW but I'd still say those games have good communities. This community is tame by comparison
One of my earliest memories was comforting a 30 year old woman going through a divorce over ventrilo while in the same WoW guild
I was 11
oh nice found it thanks
I have no idea what I'm doing even now but I do know how to listen and how to try to help someone smile and laugh
Sometimes that's all someone needs in that moment
Swap rampage to savage sweep, unarmored to elite/maniac
Oh also I gave up on TF2 when the sniper bot nonsense went on way too long and idk if it's still going on but it wouldn't surprise me
Doesn't shred/rampage give you the best clear performance?
Or does it depend on the targets
He’s stuck with bloodletter
And savage sweep had better horde clear time than rampage

Very surprising, I never would've guessed
Yea as it turns out giving ur sword 24 cleave makes it clear dense hordes better than having 10.88 cleave but with 36% better dmg and stagger
But chainsword is rly just a horde clear no-investment pick imo
57 page guide impressive
Vet doesn’t have FotF to hard carry it
It’s gonna be updated soon and the updated version has major improvements (and is longer)
I’ll get working on with the last 2 sections (curios & example builds) of the update soon
finally i know wtf power does
It is still going
That's a shame
Wonder who is going through all the effort of trying to kill that game
which weapon would you recommend for "killshot ready" kill at 10 stacks of marksman focus
Any infantry gun (columnus probably the best)
Most high-firate guns build up marksman focus stacks VERY quickly
thanks, will try to take a look at them
i always play with focus target, never done the marksman path 😅
Plasma w/ crabwalk perk
Build 10 stacks then dump into hordes
I mean, no one is stuck in Sedition/Malice at level 30. Not Reddit babies nor Discord plebs. They just queue into auric damnation and expect to get carried like everyone else. The platform where they vent their frustrations doesn't affect this.
I have the sneaking suspicion that a lot of players main Malice/Heresy and only throw themselves into the grinder of Damnation+ for the new penance system
There are way too many people who struggle even on standard damnation for this to make any sense
If not for the penance system you'd probably never run into this many people who expect to be carried because they'd just play the difficulty they're most comfortable with and you'd never interact
I wouldn't know since I've been playing Damnation only since 2 weeks after launch. But the amount of people in Auric Damnation / Maelstrom that doesn't grasp the basic concepts is really high. Maybe I should start making a spreadsheet from my experiences.
I honestly don't know what the experience is for Malice, Heresy and regular Damnation.
Sure your skill level is there but unless you are every player that doesn't apply to every player
Think about what you believe the average player's skill to be after the update has shown you what people are up to in matches
What I'm saying is that there are basic concepts of like dodging, ammo economy etc. Most people don't grasp it, and I don't know what the situation is like in the lower difficulties because I don't play them. But in Auric Damn you need some fundamentals to succeed
That skill level is probably a better fit for lower difficulties
The average player probably comfortably plays Malice/Heresy
We are the creatures in the harder difficulties
It is easy to forget the ducklings below while wearing the clown crown
Also I like dipping into standard damnation often because I find lots of ducklings
Either fresh level 30s or unfamiliar with a certain playstyle on a class. You can see it in the way they behave. They'll follow whoever they think will protect them best even to their own detriment
I protect ducklings with my life
It makes missions extra fun like it's an escort modifier
And we honor you for that
The average person who was throwing themselves into Auric Damnation and Maelstroms finds the concept of someone learning completely foreign and there's absolutely some merit to confusion over someone learning falling into Auric Damnation or Maelstrom but the penance system has everyone in a mad dash for the new cosmetic set
My fav recent mission was playing Shieldgryn and escorting a team through Hab Dreyko. 11 deaths and most of them happened at the flesh tree. My shieldgryn took a beating and was on a sliver of health on the final run to the dropship. Right along the long pipe segment the ai director decided it'd be funny to spawn in a LOT of Maulers in front of us while we had specials and a horde behind us
The other Ogryn pulling up the rear went down first
Zealot got pounced behind the horde and I couldn't get him
Veteran was spraying his Shredder Autopistol
I hit taunt and just told the Vet to run
and he's the only one who made it out alive
I know it's a newbie thing but when your group is running to the extract there's just something so cool about mag dumping a lasgun as you backpedal onto the Valk lol
And this game is still very new to me. I'm only level 10 on my first character.
FOUND THE SCREENSHOTS
I would die for them again happily
The ducklings must survive
Badass lol
I'll happily run with you anytime.
I am a sneaky creature. I hide from people and don't tend to add people in-game or join matches with people on discord but if fate drops me in your lobby I will do my clown dance and have your back beginning to end
I'm always in quickplay for US West
Exclusively either Standard Damnation or Auric Damnation
Haven't gotten to that yet
Don't worry. Go at your own pace. When you're ready there will be a clown in matchmaking falling in and out of matches
I am a clown and I must dance
You don't miss much by not joining the discord channels to play premade. They are all ducklings (there are a handful of exceptions)
I like playing with ducklings tbh
Good players make matches very smooth and easy. They're satisfying in a different way. Kinda relaxing even when the ai director is throwing everything at the squad non-stop
But good players are kinda boring to play with
My most memorable moments have been either solo clutching for a team of ducklings or protecting a team of ducklings
Oh and like one Zealot who RPed over voice and made us all sit in a church crouching in front of pews while he delivered a sermon before leading the charge
I love goofy stuff like that
A lot of people hop in, go totally silent other than using "I need ammo!" and "Thanks!" then say "gg" at the end and leave
the fun happens when people get silly
I mostly run silent myself.
but if people are chatty I tend to join in on it.
I do however tend get tunnel visioned when I play, so I often miss the chat when someone says something.
has caused me to miss crucial information now and then. ^^'
Mine too, however I feel bad whenever I'm clutching a game over and over because in my head I'm like "These guys probably hate me for never going down and having to see me solo what they couldn't even survive as a group" it just feels like I should leave and let the run be over or I make them feel bad or something
you should avoid text chat when not in an elevator or sth tbh
shouldn't feel bad about it.
mostly people are happy when one can clutch a dire situation and saves the game.
if people would want the game to end during such a moment, they'll leave themselves.
even if the game was lost you still wouldn't get much from it anyways.
so better try save it if you can.
people stay and watch u play specifically because they hope u can clutch yet this guy contemplates just throwing
amazing
real sigmar male behavior
I'd never throw due to my own pride, however I do still feel bad about it
Also, those spectating might learn new ways to handle dire situations they might've not thought about before.
so watching someone who clutches a game is a valuable experience.
it's only when people keep dying and the one(s) surviving bash on the dead ones when there's something wrong
everyone can have bad days.
and everyone have their own skill roofs.
which can always be improved upon
and for that to happen they need to fight and die
every death is a learning experience.
people who queue for auric and still shoot bursters up close need to be bashed tho
Mm.. there are ofc the exceptions when people have to much confidence.
or simply think that the others will be abble to do the heavy lifting
Reading this I just think about the times where I've ran past a barrel and my team destroys it sending me off the map.
(I only do this if a team mate has already engaged in melee just past the barrel so if I'd destroy it beforehand I would've caused the scenario to my mate instead.)
I lost my 5/10 progress of "Auric no death" penance due to someone exploding a barrel next to me, outside of combat
^^'
Tertiums finest
tzeentch strikes again
it threw me off a cliff. so no way of saving it
that mischievous little squid thingy
haha, yeah.
so with a "little" but of irritation I nicely asked not to hit random barrels.
^^'
well, I didn't curse or bash on him. I somplky asked not to
I played my clutch build just to get those penances overwith so I could forget about it
but considering the moment, I think the irritation could be noted
I got the Maelstrom Auric penances, the "No one gets downed" and "survive 5 in a row"
after that simply take everything in a nice calm pace
if i was your teammate, i would be more considerate and only shoot the fire barrels when you are next to one to avoid damaging you
haha, thanks
^^
I do like the barrels tho.
they can be really dangerous. instead of in many other games where barrels can do little to nothing
i love red barrels because you can use it as a reposition tool in a horde
I think barrels should send enemies flying the same way they send players flying
Yeet them off the map, very satisfying
that would be fun to watch.
They're still much less scary than half life 2 barrels
Remember getting the gravity gun and being like "oh yay, I can turn barrels into a grenade launcher" and then being rudely awoken to the fact that the combine will just shoot it while you're holding it anyway
I never played HF2 actually.
I wonder why I never got on that?
Imo it still holds up today
and at least you won't go into it with the false hope that the series will actually finish lmao
I've watched playthroughs of it at least tho.
the "poor mans gaming". XD
I suffer from that I find it extremely hard to play any Single Player games tho.
have for many many many years now.
I just get so bored from the lack of social interactions of others.
which is kinda ironic since I don't really talk much when playing Multiplayer games.
but it's more of the social feeling that I'm not alone and playing with others.
it's really annoying since there's been many Single Player games I've liked to play but simply couldn't due to me just dropping them shortly after
I'm happy that Space Marine 2 will have the option of playing with others in both Campaign and the other gamemodes.
always more fun to play with others, even if they're randoms I'll never see again
There's always the Synergy mod if you wanna play HL2 in multiplayer
as in coop
but from what I remember it's a bit janky
yeah, I've seen clips of people playing with that and ye, it looked quite janky.
amongs friends it probably cause a couple of good laughs tho.
Whats the "meta" stats for plasma gun?
The modifiers, the perks, the blessings, which of these exactly?
all of it
Perks matter more than blessings for it
Most blessings are between marginal and poop
is gets hot important?
alright
I forget which perks you actually want though
Elite maniac or something?
Can't remember
read flak/manic somewhere
Check with numbers cat tbh, I just use all their shit
got this with a little bit of crafting rn. I think that will do
So main stats are damage and stopping power and you got that at least
Think charge rate doesn't matter much
Since it's an LMB machine atm
ah i see. well I'll remember for the future. dont want to wast too many mats for now
That's a serviceable plasma anyway
It's very easy to make a good plasma
And there isn't much difference between a good plasma and a perfect one
Stats:
You want Damage and Stopping Power at their highest regardless. Thermal matters if you are using it as your primary weapon (compared to your melee weapon). Ammo and Charge Rate are both not very important, as long as they aren't completely bricked (Charge Rate DOES affect uncharged shots too, mostly relevant for quick-swapping). Charge rate hopefully becomes more relevant at some point in the future with a balance pass.
Perks:
Perks differ massively depending on which talent build you are using, and also with which melee weapon you are using. Anyone telling you to pick something 100% of the time are speaking from a viewpoint of a specific build, which you might not be using. For some of my builds +Maniac is useful, for others it's more or less useless for example. I'd suggest going into the Meatgrinder and testing a few things out yourself in regards to breakpoint for your specific build.
Need weapon name, any weapon
tac axe 4
Thanks
wot u doin
guys is field improv bugged or something on enchanted blitz maelstroms
oic
i noticed i was getting healed from corruption from a medipack so i just assumed the vet had it
Ulgo proud cause used brains and read 'Oh i see' feelin smart
Bugged? As in not giving the 2 extra grenades?
i didnt get any grenades from using an ammo crate
no it means Opioid-induced constipation
How does field improv even work when the non vet uses the pack? I had it the other day heal my own corruption but not the 1 wound psyker
Doesn't heal wounds that are fully corrupted
All teammates are affected by field improv
yeah non vets get grenades as well
so long as one vet has the talent all crates are improved
there's a veteran on my mourningstar named geralt-of-cadia
why have you done this vets
i will pursue this lead with the psykers.
his gear is like rank 380
never tested that but i dont think you need coherency.
pursue my cock with your throat lmao
that tracks
now we definitely need a ciri version
but fatshark dont know how to make realistic woman for once
in game
Blah blah blah in universe setting blah blah blah
Same old discussion

~~ Wait for the Sister archetype ~~
A new day dawns. A new chance to engage in tomfoolery.
Doesn't need to be coherency vet just needs to be alive
what are the best mk6 Psword blessings/perks?
Power cycler 2 with sunder or brutal, sunder gets you straight up through bulwark shields BM gets you crusher one cycles
Imo Carapace Maniac Power Cycler (Brutal Momentum or Sunder)
hw does BM help with crushers? IDK how cleave would do that
ty
if hteyre standing next to each other you can kill up to 4 😄
Sunder reduces hit mass to like .25, with either you slice right through hordes
Sunder will be better if you can't reliably weak point or need to go through a lot of armor/fatties
worth to get or nah?
no
dmg a bit lower than ideal so u might miss breakpoints
unless u don't have anything better
then yea get it
kinda yea
thats the 7
smh how cant u tell the difference between III and VII its so easy
yeah the 7 just has giga finesse numbers now
deadly accurate can go a long way
yea
V3 was the real patch 13 winner
then they nerfed finesse & unyielding dmg on it
do these need replacing?
What’s the weapon?
Maniac and flak are the best perk in a vacuum... need to know the weap
oh, ok
it was the agg revolver
because i've had problem with dumping an entire mage and there is like only a 80, 60% chance that I will kill a hammer orgyn in one go
while if there is a bunch of axe wielding maniac whether what type i can just clean house with them. I don't see people struggling with them either.
With headshots?
my aim is not great
i usually try to aim for the head
but there are case where all headshot won't do anything
it usually not a problem when i got 8 stack of the tagging skill keystone up though
Agri revolver wants Flakiac, so that’s fine
ok, and then i have the rending 50% on crit and the crit per round expended
i got the crit dodge too
not the crit for stamina while aiming node though
Ngl unyielding is prob a very strong contender for agrivolver too
And why exactly?
it's a monster dps gun
Trick shooter memes
But is it a reliable monster DPS gun, or just a fad that hardly has practical use?
it does put out a lot of dmg very quickly vs all bosses
With weakspot hits, that is?
yea but u can force it with VoC stagger
Yeah it's not bad as a boss deleter
the stagger lasts long enough to unload 5 shots into weakspot if they're facing u
God. A man learns new things everyday it seems
It sounds fairly memey, I’ll give it that much, but there is a piece of me that wants to embrace it and give it a try
Oh I remember that video from days before (I.e., p13 release)
Is it true that the boltgun is pretty bad regardless of build? Is there a viable build for the boltgun? I really like it. 😄
It's mid
It’s a decent weapon, probably one of the most balanced ones in the game currently
Not terrible but annoying to use
I really struggle with the ammo economy, seems fine otherwise.
browns masterrace
ngl of the mainline switches, i disliked the feel of reds the most
And what is the most meta weapon now? Plasma?
Plasma, Columnus IAG and probably Zarona revolver
Most meta ? Impression wise ? Plasma
If you want to conserve ammo with it, I would recommend using surgical on it and using it like a dmr.
Yeah, that was my build. I even used the "turret-mode" talent that gives you focus for standing still. Was just sniping stuff.
Surgical will give you guaranteed 1 shots on most elites, but it primarily rewards you for taking slower, more deliberate shots that forces you to consume less ammo and get more damage out of it
Oh I wouldn't recommend marksmanship focus on it at all
Problem was, when I got to higher difficulties, standing mostly still became unviable in most engagements.
Bolter can 1 shot most things already with a surgical crit
The only gun I’ve rly enjoyed using MF for is MG4 lasgun
Bolter is not in a great spot at top diff imo. Well, compared to top option
At most I would use the middle keystone, but the bolter needs so many talents (suppression immunity/faster reload on elite kill), that I basically go keystoneless veteran for it
I will never, ever trust keystoneless to be better than keystone build
It's meant to be an elite/specialist sniper, not a gun for regular shooters
I’ve come around on the infantry lasgun blessing pool, I think ghost is way better than deadly accurate for a lot of situations
Valid opinion, but bolter talk in general is pretty divisive to begin with
Bolter is either mf or ft option. Ft is pretty good and easy to use to begin with
So what I think is that the bolter is overkill for most enemies - sure, you delete most stuff with a single hit, but there are other weapons that can do the same with better handling and ammo economy.
It doesn't work well with weapons specialist with how slow it whips out and doesn't really need extra finesse damage
Middle keystone is an option, but personally I like to use the points elsewhere
Bolter is overkill for most enemies and slightly under for the important ones
Maybe ill try a ws bolter build on day.
Oh for sure
I enjoy ghost rn purely because it saves me points from having to take ET for sharpshooter to be able to deal with shooters effectively
I'm not saying bolter is meta, just that you can save ammo by using it like a dmr. It's pretty fun in general
So that’s instantly 2 point save
Bolter on vet is pretty much a dmr
And what would you recommend as the best weapon in the DMR/one-hit deleter category? Vraks MK VII?
But it got nerf hard by surv nerf
Bolter best mod was sniper fog last patch
Idk I think Boltgun has extra value for how it AoE staggers crowds when killing a special/elite in them
That's good CC for free
just for doing what you're already doing
At the end of the day, Bolter is worse plasma in almost all circumstance rn
It is better user of exe stance
Bolter wins at being a Bolter but only Zealot really gets to use it like that
I need to make a zealot build for it tbh
Maybe I can put it in my evis chorus build
Well like
Dmr bolter for vet is pretty okay
But uhh, yeeahh
Mag dump bolter is a hit for zealot
Although I did build boltgun for mag dump for vet 😌
Prob the ult ?
Yeah but on vet i dont want to hit carapace at all
idk zealot but i know magdumping a bolter is more common on zealot than vet
Also dance of death is great for magdump on it
Dodge and your spread and recoil reduce by like 75%
It's probably the most ult agnostic weapon too
So it gets used in chorus builds more
Bosses tbh
Thats a different discussion though
And Being A Bolter
Being A Bolter is a pretty big advantage that Bolter has
I just wish it still had the power
Here the question is mostly: "why bolter more popular on zealot rn?"
the bolter's advantage is in morale, cause people will see it and theyll be like damn son ur gun is huge, and ur rounds are so thicc and velocity-ish
Replace blessings ?
Handcannon with brittleness ?
Like ogryn stole our ult
Idk, i only have a 28 ogryn and i mostly use melee
When i do play it
Blaze Away Kicky with Rending PBB fucks
agrip superiority
too bad that sprinting node isnt a touch easier to trigger
What's the strongest boss damage on a vet melee weapon anyhow?
and maybe 1 shot?
oh that's Mk12
usually Mk12 takes either those 2 or replacing either with thrust
This is something im missing in my game play, boss damage
But is it really this easy when its running around
with thrust u can prob get to 80% chaos spawn hp in 1 hit
cu thrust IV is +60% melee power fully charged
and this is abt half health
hm ok
do u run +stam curios for rashad
just sprint efficiency stacking?
efficiency gang
veterans i need to know, what is the ideal perk/blessings when using the non-folding and folding shovel
cat dude has a good guide in the pins
but um uncanny strike on all
usually flak
if you want to headshot tricky targets swith the folder then probably thrust
Uncanny + thrust, carapace & flak for folding shovels
Standard issue is just not as good as mk7 imo
Mk3 is also not as good as mk7 imo
ugh I'm just not feeling the MG4 lasgun.
I mean it's kinda lore accurate
they don't call them flashlights for nothing
but feelsbadman
1a feels very nice
mg4 is my favorite personally
its more about sustained fire and accuracy by volume than it is 1hko breakpoints
like I have to be double tapping trash mobs with a gun that takes like a good half sec to follow up
also for some reason it's kinda janky to keep on target? Like maybe I'm not used to it but
I remember it felt way better when I played a few months ago
right, that's what I suspect, 'cause I know people like them
yeah still leveling up this mook and feeling things up as I go, I hadn't played a vet with the skill tree yet
i can share my build
sure, I mean I don't have the skillpoints but just to check
columnus braced on the other hand, like okay I might not be able to hit the broad side of a barn but damn
chews up and feels more accurate this time around
Try the columnus infantry autogun btw
like somewhat still reliable at mid range
And the other two Braced autoguns
I’ve awakened from my cryostasis state and come back with the understanding as to why the Rashad II axe is just stupidly strong, thank you @tall torrent for blessing me with the knowledge of never giving up till I get a god roll one
The Columnus is usually seen as the worst of the 3
I've always been more of a fan of braced guns, but the columnus infantry also feels way better now, like once you get its aimpoint down it's actually pretty workable at range
But the infantry version of it is one of the best guns in the game
Any weapons other than Rashad and mk6 powersword that excel at light attack spam vs hordes?
Chainsword 13g
Or if you aren't fully wedded to lightspam,
thank azreal
Chainsword 4 does really well with heavy spam
Chainsword 13g if it’s not Chaffe at least
yeah I've always not been too kind on the columnus myself, I tend to run agripinaa braceds on zealot, I probably would have on vet but I've always preferred scout lasguns on vets
Using the keep Swinging app to limit wrist issues.
you can swap VoC & infil if you want to change points a bit
it's cool, 'cause I get to play with guns I didn't really think of in previous characters, if you told me I'd be running columnus and lawbringers on this guy I'd tell you to get outta here.
Literally after taking a huge break just decided to roll a god roll one, and out damaged a melee build Zealot in their own fucking playstyle as a Vet, we love the Rashad II
Rashad is insane.
It's good, I like the chainsword 4 more though tbh
I thought people weren't super keen on infiltrate but tbh I haven't seen a lot of ult usage from vets in general
Tbf I only have an antax though
Tbh all the abilities are at least usable
VoC is just overpowered
But it doesn't mean you have to use it
Look I used the customizable weapons mod to change my axe into a shovel and it hits just right when swinging it with Veteran
I use volley fire all the time lol
I have a cursed MG1a exe stance build
Emperor’s strongest veteran
Voc and Inf are both good, exec is kind of garbage
Infiltrate is godlike for clutching.
Execution stance is good for certain guns
Exec is… there.
But even guns where it's good
It’s alright
It's worse than the other two
Just weak vs the others
The only weapon I think needs exec stance is the mg1a
it's mg12
Mg1a doesn't need it tbh
Since it pushes a lot of meaningful breakpoints
1a works without exe stance
CIAG is good with it
If you’re running a sniping build it’s a no brainer to do Exec
Ciag is good with everything
But CIAG with E stance is a special kind of disgusting
Yeah but 1a is far better than 12 atm
Me with my VoC Helbore Kriegsman
Focus Fire keystone I assume
No.
Tbf that’s the outlier
Melee focus.
Melee focus
I can't remember the last time ive seen a 12
Methhead energy
SHOVEL FOR THE WIN BABY
I spoke with a friend who ran the game more than I did, and what I got from him is that the stealth stances for both vet and zealot were kinda looked down upon 'cause it was the go-to for the cod crowd
Shit stealth players are shit
Look I’m just saying in my eyes cause of my mods I’m using a shovel even though it’s an Axe
Idk what that means, but stealth is good for meaningful damage or threat reduction, in addition to being able to do objectives uninterrupted
While I just use an actual shovel
And I am loving it baby
It’s good for “oh shit everyone’s down”
Heretic. USE A SHOVEL
An axe is an axe.
VoC is the most universally useful but Infiltrate is still a good ability
if the shovels didn't have abysmal unyielding dmg and horde cleared better I'd use them more
Exec is pretty lackluster in comparison
Mk7 when I feel like it :)))
For now I use the Rashad- I mean shovel
yeah I guess it's a bit like psyker smite
Tbf, shroudfield on Monster Hunter Zealots is fucking bonkers.
I just made a Thunder Hammer build and it feels so fucking incredible melting half a boss' HP with one swing.
Infiltrate on monster Hunter veteran is even more bonkers
Horde clear isn't too bad if you let yourself get at least 1 Thrust stack
True, but the zealot just has that oomph
Honestly going from Mk7 to Rashad I’ve only really noticed shovel is more a Stagger via CC option, Rashad BM just fucking kills them outright lmao
Limited cleave value + pretty slow horde clear speed
Speaking of zealots, what the hell is useful perks on Evis
Because Zealot chat is not helping.
Which one
Mk15
Carapace + whatever u get to roll
Tigrus? I think
Carapace is good because it allows u to Crit weakspot rev H1 and one tap both mauler & crusher without FotF
Deal with that info how u will
Nice, thanks.

Blessings go shred + perfect strike/rampage
Perfect strike doesn’t make u kill better but it makes the weapon stagger everything
My first Mk15 I just consecrated gave me T4 Rampage
The other blessing is bloodletter 3
also armor sliding right?
Bwomp
Cleave through everything
Bloodletter is alr but not great
The weapon, for reference.
Swap bloodletter for shred, infested for unarmored/unyielding prob
XV is a monster hunting weapon imo
Don't have any shred blessings yet lmao this is my first Evis above lvl 30
It’s actually really good at boss dmg
Maybe better than thunder hammer because it also doesn’t cost u to mess up the build for a niche 1 shot
Way easier to do Crit weakspot rev H1 than having to play martyrdom XX stacks + duellist + sustained assault etc
damn, now that I'm finally taking a good look at the vet tree, just the first row of perks are hella dope, ngl
in general I feel like FS did a really solid job with the skill trees personally.
Efficacy vs Feeling like a fucking force of nature
Efficiency wins
Coward.
Incorrect. Me, professional soldier of the Imperium
You, crazy hobo man
darn zealots in our vet chat
Zealots are soldiers, even if you don't believe so
No, no, I'm a Vet main all the way.
For the guard.
But I will admit the Zealot has some tasty bonks.
I kinda wanna steal their eviscerator
I've played a whole lotta vet, but man, heavy stubber ogryn is something else
and it's just a permutation on the same thirst for dakka
once you dakka, you can't go backa
If you know how to use your melee comboed with stubber it’s genuinely a good playstyle
Graia Mk IV, closest feeling
They make the worst teammates lol
But I'm a good teammate 🥺
I keep picking up ammo pickups so we can all share them later ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ
Ok that's good
I just see way too many ogryn teammates hog all the ammo after spraying their entire mag into pox hordes
yeah that came out as more helpful than I intended
It’s honestly why I encourage a more, Spray into Horde when it’s mixed with Specials and F is off CD playstyle combining it with mainly melee for any typical Pox horde
That's penance degeneracy
You don't even need to shoot the horde if you have a good cleaver
it was an issue even before penance updates
sadly
me on my last clip of Boltgun shots watching the Ogryn on white ammo take the ammo pack
I wouldn't even be bothered by ammo goblins if they actually killed things
like dude if you wanna take ammo sure but at least kill something worthwhile with it
every ammo box i take is in service of the sixth
man
i dont wanna cheese the MF penance
but just playing
i get maybe 100 in a round
it aint right
It do be like that...
no thanks I have to hold lmb down on the trash mob while somebody is netted next to me and being wailed on
I cry
Lawbringer Manstopper cheese
Im honestly taking a break on my penances and just playing Vet for a bit cause I simply want to just stockpile resources for this update coming next month, give or take a week and I'll be back on the Ogryn 100% grind
That and I blame my recent Battlefield 1 addiction kicking in again
what's ur penance point progress now
3780?
not bad
I believe I last checked, more so just taking a break from it
Look even after nearly a Decade BF1 is still a fucking amazing game, unless you use the SMG08 I fucking hate you if you use that gun
(support main)
the OG krieg experience
man I just got in a pug with 3 other vets
bosses just buried under piles of nades
byotiful
KRAKIN' ARMOR!
deathblow (bromentum but renamed) and headtaker and IX i think
Crit perks aren't really good compared to the consistent value of getting +25% damage versus a major enemy type, but if you're a gambling pal/gal go for it and have fun
the more crit you have the less you gamble
I like gambling
and it helps duellist
Even more of a reason not to take crit
aka best node in the entire game
If it doesn't change a breakpoint through regular non-crit hits it can be worth it.
Finally going back home after convention weekend
Did the skulls event end already
Or do I still have a few days
I want muh plasteel
Ic
Or with blessing stacks, but agree
It's only equivalent to 1-2 missions worth of rewards. Nothing to push for, but you get it by default playing anyways.
rate my knife
Unyielding/carapace?
Mobility is the dump, can be as low as 17 without losing dodge
And pen doesn't rly matter past 60 or so
Not enough flesh tearer lacerate smh
king knife swap in flesh tearer over uncanny
Take your pick between flak, carapace, elite, unyielding
Just dont do maniac
It changes nothing
People aren't still unironically pushing bleed knives here, are they?
Flesh tearer mk 6 is actually decent
Penetrative changes your ADM
So it's mostly irrelevant once you stack uncanny
ADM?
I hope the sarcasm is obvious enough
flesh tearer is aight-- it's lacerate that's really bad
You never know with this discord. Between here and reddit, I feel like people skipped math in school.
a flesh tearer crit will cleave on a light attack and apply bleed to all targets for a guaranteed kill
works on horde mobs
it's gud
Adm = armor damage modifier
Bleed is a nice mechanic but carpal-tunneling all over the place as your whole knife's personality is
One of the ways to play for sure
You still heavy attack with flesh tearer knife
The horde power is still mediocre but it's nice for easily filling in breakpoints
Example: crusher "2 tap"
cool
surely you don't spam heavies into a horde of poxwalkers with a mk3
Normally only precog can do it and it's much more conditional
Mk3 is inferior to mk6 anyway:^)
I'm taking Mk3 to mostly deal with bosses and carapace, is that a bozo move?
Mk6 is just as good vs single.target
And actually hordes okish
I don't rly see any reason to play mk3
In practical terms both knives largely hit the same bps
Mk6 has a superior moveset and if you combo off an H2 into push atk spam it actually can be a little faster
Also are those stats with 2 equal finesse value?
No, I was just showing the max values
Oh I c what you're looking at
Either way I have about 5 knives of both marks each
Imo
There is rly no reason to play mk3
Yeah I just bought a bunch and I'm gonna see if I have any decent rolls
Other good players in this disc also echo similar sentiments from what I've seen
H1/2/3 > PA > PA is ST for mk6
Mods are your friend
H1 > H2 > block cancel loop for aoe
Single target
ty
I did notice the Mk6 having more forgiving attacks for hitting weakpoints, just the lights that throw me off a little
The lights can be spammed to force a path out of a horde if you need to but generally you do some form of a heavy loop
Heavy > [heavy > light] loop also works
so if im rolling for stam 3 curios is that melk mystery
Is H1 > H2 > L1 > L2 serviceable?
Seems like it'd be annoying to constantly block cancel
Unless you wanna take the curio perk approach
Yes
That's fine too
I mentioned Heavy > (heavy > light) loop as well
H1 > [H2 > L3]
Mk6 heavy light combo is H1 > [H2 > L3] or [H1 > H2 > L3 > L4]
what's the brackets for?
The part you loop
ah
Is the bracket
how does hadron put reload 2 on this
whats that
Dang! That guy bleeding at heart by dmg it took.
Yes but it is better on zealot
The 13 in general is better on zealot
I recommend the 4 on vet
Yeah cause you don't have fotf to fix the rev into being usable
So mk4 can afford to run savage bloodletter+ savage sweep to actually 1 tap maulers and bulwarks
Or just go the classic savage rampage for more horde speed
13 is locked into 2 horde blessings so the rev is guaranteed to be shit
And it doesn't benefit from something like zealot blazing piety cdr on vet
Uh
You can leave it
I think it's good as is
my brain is just "Big number better"
For that
yeah I think I have one
Unyielding/flak bloodletter/ss
ok!
Is imo how it should be built
Savage swap is better than rampage for a solo blessing
About 30 percent faster on pox hordes
Yeah I just had that one lying around
Ye.thats fair
not bad!
Both is 14 sec btw
For killing big guys, rev into heavy attack at the head yeah
Ya chs on vet is gonna be shit vs crushers no matter what
yeah lol
I think I'll stick with my mob clear one
and just take a big gun for crushers
Even bloodletter chs is a 2 tap which is stil awful for anim lock
Curio reward perks on your curios so you can maybe get a curio, let alone the one you want, after every run, however long they take. Effectively useless.
i totally forgot about that
As well you should
im still on purple +2 stam stam regen and dockets i reblessed for in all 3 slots lol
the skulls event, does it count kills or headshot kills?
whole teams headshot kills
Hey fellow vets whats bledding for knifemk6?
it's regular bleed, which is to say, not that good on vet
only really viable for a mercy killer build on vet and that isn't all that great compared to what you can get on vet
uncanny strike
and like
precognition maybe
i dunno i don't play it on vet because i can't bleed stack well without flesh tearer on zealot
and that makes the knife garbage at horde clear
Uncanny + mercy/executor
forgot about exec. yeah p much that
mercy killer if you're willing to invest in serrated blade talent
Hey guys where I can see the new event row slots? It just keeps saying I advanced in the event and gives me orde dockets but I have no idea where I can actually see my progress
Press mission overlay keybind
How much of an effect does Base damage have on total damage? (ranged)
which weapon
Agripinaa Braced Auto
i swear to all that's holy i need to meet the person who i just played with
that told me there's a reason "i" don't run the build i was running (loner knife invis zealot)
when i was playing the objective like a normal person and the rest of the team was cranking the hog going the long way and standing basically still inside of a horde while there was no reason for them to do that
You know the further ahead you go, the more enemies spawn right? and if you're going invis then they have to deal with them.
this was at the pre-last objective of relay station, where you go up the spiral staircase and you need to kill the daemon growths
the desert map
how is this?
we finished the bottom floor one, i went by the stairs on the left because it's most likely the next one spawns there, leaving maybe 3 dreg bruisers behind, maybe. the rest of the team went with the ladder on the right by the med station while i was struggling to finish the objective because the tendrils were a bit too far for me to get solo
Agripinaa Braced Auto
i typed "anyone?" after having gotten downed and the plasma power sword VoC vet started going off
what build are you running with this?
I mean, tbf you went off on your own and got downed
not the biggest problem
all in all good. i'd personally prefer the perks to both be changed but you just cannot keep sustained fire with surgical and crucian roulette as options, so change the stamina perk
?
but u don't want dmg to be too low usually
Stamina to elite, sustained to surgical or crucian
I'm talking specifically about Ranged Base damage, shown on Longshot
a totally fair point. one the vet didn't use
oh
I want to know how much of an effect this might have on total end result damage
u don't need longshot for braced autoguns
started telling me about how loner zealots are egotistical and whatnot...
It's free damage
longshot adds +1~20% ranged dmg to enemies 8~30m away
oh...
It actually tops out at about 15m from what I've heard
you generally want to build for dmg that directly benefits you all the time
perfect for ba
no
it starts at 8m
this is my brauto. longshot gives me up to +20% increased damage numbers
0-8m it has no effect
Now, I think this vet is a tool. And of course he is, VoC and Plasma? The coolest vets use infiltrate and plasma instead.
8m onwards u get +1% dmg gradually rising to +20% at 30m
But were they able to break out of the horde they were in?
source?
i had absolutely 0 comlaints about anyone in that mission save for a bit of an annoying psyker
Darktide's close dmg code?
when they all saw that there was stuff happening when i got downed
I'd like to see it if possible.
you can go check in game rn and see if it increases ur dmg from 0-8m
@clear narwhal what does longshot compete with as the other talent you can get?
because it might not be as free of a damage as one might think
longshot is never really a good pick for braced autoguns to begin with
sec
u take longshot because u want to meet breakpoints on specific enemies over distance
u don't take longshot because it's "free dmg"
if u wanted "free dmg" there're way better nodes
When I play infiltrate vet, Sometimes I have to watch my group and make sure it's safe to break away
This is my build
i suppose wanting volley adept or exhil takedown is a reason enough, but i'd still prefer going down the right or middle
but yeah no that's not really it
- you probably don't need 8 stacks of mark
drop longshot, 8 stacks, competitive urge
get demo stockpile in the middle
drop killzone because that's quite literally anti-synergy with braced autoguns
- you probably don't need the 10% rending talent
Ah the exec stance braced build
braced autoguns are ok with it
low flak ADM (75%) for graia and columnus
Drop killzone for 4.6 bullets of 10%crit chance? no thanks
don't run surv
Executioners stance
first off braced autogun doesn't work well with either of the nodes above exe stance to begin with
take the tinkerer pill
ah uh. i've never heard of a revolver exec stance build
but in that case it's surgical you're after
it's usually rare for braced autoguns to be effective when killzone is active
the moment something steps within 8m KZ deactivates
ur taking a close range gun that's most relevant up to 12~15m in the first place
Have you used the Agri BA?
550 wep or slaughter to BM
yea are u gonna try to snipe gunners at 20m+ behind cover with it
Even that is primarily a closer ranged weapon
With exe stance, Literally yes.
you'd love the graia iag
Without firing more than 5-10 shots?
ok u do u
or the agri iag
Killzone is just... a terrible node
Yes. The first few shots are super accurate
exe stance changes your spread pattern to usable at range
The damage is high enough you can kill snipers in 3 bullets.
and its hardset so you can learn it
Given stuff is always wandering into your personal space from every direction
sure but
why are we shoving a square peg into a round hole
brautos are most effective, even with their blessings, up close
As someone who uses the weapon regularly, they are not. They are more accurate than the following shots, but they are not accurate enough to nail snipers at 25m with 3 shots without wasting 10+ish rounds.
shit, especially with their blessings
But you can still use them long range, accurately and effectively if you do it right.
Tbf the first shot is very accurate
10 rounds is nothing if you need a sniper dead.
But it's definitely still a close range gun
Usually it won't take even that
Just more flexible than other braced
you do you, man. i don't think it's worth it to be putting all those points towards making the gun do something it's not designed for
Agri BA is a good gun. I'm not disputing that. But it's not a good long ranged weapon.
I regularly topscore my auric Maelstrom missions.
That's not it's primary focus no, but it can be done in a pinch if you need to.
which is why i said it in the way i said it in
square peg into a round hole
I actually find it easier to get snipers at range with the Agri BA than with the Columnus V
Agri IAG is a much better weapon if your average target is 20m+ when shooting.
In fact Agri IAG is incredible no matter the range.
Both are great but IAG definitely more flexible
Braced is usually there when I want to simulate the African child soldier experience
Braced auto is for holding down W key and engaging enemies up close. Its weakspot multiplier is pretty bad. And it's Crit multiplier is also not that good.
IAG has much better weakspot damage (but worse body shot damage).
real question and definitely not a meme or a troll
how tf do i run chain axes?
i've given them a chance of 2k plasteel and they feel
Carefully
Okay, tested longshot, whoever told me it maxes out at 15m is a bozo
Eh, IMO, chain sword is better than a chain axe in almost every way.
i do know but i wanted to know if there were any real upsides to the axes
Still, longshot evens the damage dropoff at longer range, more than usable.
I think chain axe has higher single target damage on the special?
But worse cleave
and i know for sure i was running it slightly incorrectly because i didn't have perks
so basically no upside
chain axes are better on single damage but less cleave yeah

oi what’s this number on me name
