I think you're splitting too many hairs about the term "trash" or "bad" due to your personal fondness for the weapon and its affecting your ability to objectively measure things. The line is substantially undertuned compared to alternatives (people generally refer to this as being bad). If something requires an inordinate amount of effort/juice to get pushed into something resembling competition with alternatives, it's going to compare poorly.

Are they trash imo? No.

If you're judging the weapons on their own merits, they are. The only way you could argue they aren't is if you make a semantical argument of "well with my arbitrary standards they aren't trash so other peoples arbitrary standards are wrong". What makes them perform even somewhat acceptably is the talent tree, which has no bearing on the guns being good but rather the talent tree being good.

When you have to put in considerably more effort for less reward, people will typically refer to that something as bad, or "trash" to denote this. Especially if it falls below a certain baseline average.

Are they trash in the average player's hands? Yes LOL
Average players can run a perfectly reasonable build and play reasonably well and still find the weapon wanting. Even trash players can pick up a ciag, get a talent setup from someone else, and go "WAAOW THIS FUCKS" and perform well with it.
