#veteran-class

blasted an entire clip with 15 stacks of focus and exe into a plogryns face and it didn't even do the same sum damage as a single charged plasma shot
down
What perks do I put onto a Mk VI power sword real quick
sprint speed block efficiency
I have maniacs and unyielding I would assume swap unyielding
PS4 and Brutal Momentum/Shredder Oh perks
Carpace and if that's not enough to two shots curshers elite
just kidding
I am that guy who still has to hold his hands out with fingers in the shape of an L to figure out which ones left and which one's right.
100% serious take. Veteran isn't the kind of class that just falls to the wayside because the shell of darktide will always have room for veteran. When you consider the utility of the class, let alone have experience with something like vt2, all of the things that any other class would take in that game to do something similar archetype or not are going to go for some of the same things.
In Darktide, a much easier game by comparison, the design of veteran by default localized generally strong tools into a class designed to do most things. After the overhaul, you had people doing well with builds that didn't even care about the bottom tree shit because when you added up the utility, vet didn't need it. So some wanted keystones.
To me, it doesn't seem like the shell of the game suddenly doesn't have room for vet. I just can't put my finger on whether or not the added passives you could easilt take then were what carried the class before optimization/solid gear or just whatever number tweaking that's been done allows for keystones on vet to be functional but ultimately still no mandatory.
This is my current roll how do I improve it with 1 slot change
unyielding to flak, but unyielding isn't that bad for wacking bosses
carapace to kill crusher
Sits in back trying to plink and never taking out melee, moves awkwardly slowing the team down, gets downed because of refusal to take out melee and lacking situational awareness. Tries to force value out of the keystone even in bad situations.
People did this before but now they're gonna go "muh stacks, team cover me I need muh stacks" to justify it.
I aint reading all that. Congratulations, or sorry that happened.
You do realize what high priority targets are right?
That's a player problem with understanding better judgement
straight tf up wasn't talking to you lol
honestly with camouflage those stacks dont matter
If you focus ranged enemies so your team doesn't have to worry about them that is playing your role
What does this have to do with what I'm saying?
Also I hear everyone complaining about Marksman's Focus but nothing on Weapons Specialist
Yes, exactly. Veteran doesn't need the keystones to be effective. Its identity is not at stake.
you dont have to sit in the back and plink for most of the time to just take down prio targets
You can demolish hordes with weapons specialists

thats cuz weapons specialist is fucking great lol
This pr. much. The keystones aren't mandatory. They aren't even really that good except for Marksman's Focus, but considering the cost of running focus (basically 5 points- one for the tax node, 4 for the ability and its good upgrades) as well as how silly it is to actually maintain the stacks on it consistently it begs the question whether its even worth taking that over, say, onslaught or better grenades or Iron will
I don't sit in the back
It means if your priorities suck you're going to deal with the problems of being overrun. In a vaccum, every shooter I can see is already dead so I can join in the moshpit. And even then I'm still advancing and picking my shots while still defending myself.
You can do multiple things at once
I don’t think he was talking about you specifically
This is essentially what i did. I got rid of my marksman focus 3 points and put it into longshot, leave no one behind, and grenade tinkerer.
I agree, but the game requires you to be self sufficient while doing it. I'm talking about a (large) portion of the playerbase who are largely inept and will keep doing everything I listed and blame the team for not holding their hand at all times to do it.
I was actually one of the people that didn't feel the need for vey keystones
hold my hand please soldier
I have big ogryn hands now
🥺
They're really cool now that we got them, but I didn't find them necessary before
Can hold hands of many lil uns

Left tree is for long range gun play
I'll die on a hill for Target Focus
What's a good one-hit-kill melee for walkers? Tried Antax but too slow for me, using it for weapons specialist keystone
so it does benefit the team you beinga bit back
Out of the many issues the game can have, as well as vet, I think the bigger worries are stuff like weapon versatility
Assuming P-sword and activated
1 hit?
And yeha I completely get that and that's something that I really don't know ow that'll play out. Cuz it is kind of meh that vet has been funneled more into specialization with the keystone choices when you seek them out. that I actually don't like. What I wouldn't know is what would hapen if the class just got branch out more flexibly and still being able to run them if they choose.
For example, plasma is almost a better revolver and revolver is already goated by itself
Yeah, trying to proc weapons special so I can reload on taking out my gun
You know what I blame incompetence on?
People who play with 0 volume and the inability to read the chat to see there's a Daemonhost right there.
why? vet has the ability to make most guns work
You got plasma, you kill any enemy in the game, and if you got revolver, you kill all but one (bulwarks)
wait better revolver?
keystones deserve a little love still, some tweaks and changes and the compression of the vet skill tree
if done right I believe would be great
but this is fatshark
who knows what they’ll do next
infantry 1a isnt exactly stellar on the other classes
You play any of the lasguns or helbores your focus should be on the elites/specials and not the horde.
Then you start getting to helbores, which are a pain in the ass to swap to but still shove out a really fucking damaging shot
You could be that guy to save someone from a stupid trapper.
But then you reach the other weapons
Headhunters are cracked, but they can't kill crushers or bulwarks well
Because at that point I could see some nerfs coming that place vet in a posssibly unstable place should enough of the game change around the class. But because of the cornerstone design philosophy that vet has a monopoly on, there'd had to be a very real effort to tear down the class's efficacy. No other class in my opinion has the ability to be able to provide so much to the team even if they might not be the one performing the loudest.
Example: anyone that's new learning that mid tree is just safe.
The the moment, the talent tree is really fucked because Fatshark did nothing to address the REAL problem it had. The issue wasn't that the 3 red nodes at the bottom weren't strong enough to be worth getting. It's that the cost of getting them was too damn high.
And the basic structure of the vet tree is pretty much the exact same. We have very very little lateral flexibility, and all of the good nodes are locked behind 3 or more mediocre/bad nodes. To get anything out of vet you have to spend an incredible number of points.
The rework was a mild improvement- since it shifted some of those heavily taxed mandatory nodes to the top. But the tax nodes it removed near the bottom got put back in in the form of a tax node near the top right after the grenades. And having all 3 of those good toughness gen nodes locked behind 2 points each means we have even less lateral flexibility later in the tree than before unless you give up those critical defenses or- more likely- the "Meh, at best" keystones.
The same goes for the lasguns, IAGs and all other weapons I can think of
Whenever I touch a revolver or a plasma gun, carrying a pub match gets infinitely easier
you have kraks and melee for those if you need, especially considering you get mk6 PS as melee option on vet
I can recall at least one occurrence of a DH making absolutely zero sound for anyone in the party
remove some of the travel nodes and connect the bottom section
I walked into it
alongside general weapons which are still extremely effective like combat axes/chain swords
that’s the gist of what’s required
Suddenly specialists go away in a single shot with a quick swap weapon, because plasma gun somehow swaps faster than helbores and bolters
Burster made zero sound, spawned right next to me, immediately exploded without the ticking
the mk6 PS is another weapon that earned a place in my roster of ezmode
I mean yeah, the answer is so glaringly obvious that the fact that Fatshark hasn't done it yet is a very, very strong sign about the incompetency of whoever is heading the design team which is responsible for the Veteran class.
I'm not gon cap it'd be nice to be able to go from one side to another with some kind of ease to cherrypick a handful of talents. That is actually something I liked and got mileage out of.
It's currently capable of killing a crusher with a single push attack combo
you know what I’ve been loving lately? Enemies spawning out of rooms and then instantly dying
like wtf am I looking at
and I'm the guy who's like, "You didn't see it idiot?" even though I completely didn't notice it either.
Aka saccing survivalist and demo spec
You need to activate it, sure, but activating still allows you to dodge the very telegraphed overhead
I'm not sure about this one chief. Revolver can pull quicker and one shot ragers quicker.
Activation also staggers ragers on light attacks and has the potential of killing them in two, which is the minimum value power cycler gives
Someone, somewhere on their team must have surely seen the answer. And yet it has not been done. Which means someone in charge actively shut it down (and is therefore stupid) or an entire group of people failed to see it (which makes them all stupid- or at least ignorant of their own damn game)
almost
to me at the time it was just like. after actually doing the simple math, it was just overkill. So unless I wanted overkill aspects to my kit, I almost always took utility through the other talents to just guarantee nice little things to make it a big deal for my build.
They still have their own strengths and I'm not shitting on revolver for not having what looks like infinite cleave or something because I'm a psyker main and the revolver was my main weapon for a long-ass time
Fatsharks initial idea about vets not needing keystones and being a generalist class was 100% spot on.
The problem was they made the tree fucking awful
And vet being a walked vending machine and a feat monkey, I just saw less and less reason to use the endstones.
It's just that once you get used to plasma, some of the downsides it has compared to the revolver feel minor compared to the increased potential for damage it has
Yeah, I rarely actually bothered with the stuff at the end
just got killed as last real player by an ai shooting a burster as i went to push it
The damage buff for the ability was a bit eh and I only got the close range damage one to combo with the stealth one and get some mad fucking numbers for 5 seconds
They should give us swap speed already. That can be our identity. We pull guns fast, we pull nades fast.
I love the weapon swap idea a lot.
Unless I was using maybe an unfinished weapon or really wanted to juice something else like infiltration interactions, it was never worth it for me at the time.
But instead of fixing the tree, they just slapped keystones at the bottom and shifted a few things around. Thankfully removed a couple tax nodes, but then added a new one back in and introduced new taxes in the form of the 6-point dip at the top to get all of our mandatory toughness gen (although Out for Blood can be given up without too much pain. Confirmed kill and Exhilirating takedown, however, cannot be)
I remember when people clowned on ET because it shared a spot with CK
and exhil takedown still being bugged despite all the changes
can’t forget that
Before the talent patch
The amount of blitz upgrades that vet has is absurd. Half of them should be integrated
for my hellbore builds yes I'd have to double down. Didn't have a better version of blessings so that compensated. idk where breakpoints start and begin, I just copy some builds, tweak them to my needs, experiment with them as a template then adjust more and more until I get what I want for myself. Pain in the ass but it works.
Lol here's a thought.
"Take off your optional grenade modifiers and then tell me how many points you actually have left."
You want to be like the other classes, then play like them. Don't have endless grenades and maybe you'll actually have some points for other things like a keystone.
Twin nades ought to be removed, or made consistent
I like endless grenades, but sometimes I wonder if it's really necessary
but otherwise I like the variety of blitz nodes. I just wish they were placed better
I made the mistake of using krak with plasma and power sword
It was made twice as consistent
Realistically, I'm never pressing G
I have smoke with stealth
Realistically, I'm stealthing and walking to the elites
Let's be real, main reason a lot of people struggle to even reach a keystone is the fact they have a little too many "non-negotiable" passives.
Mine is nade on 60 sec ngl
if you go all down the right tree it takes 20 points to reach your keystone, 18 for ogryn, less for the other 2 classes
20% chance for double smokes
I like to have the psykhanium to actually work what I can and can't remove
20% chance to do nothing

you simply have less points no matter what you pick
is the best keystone for the revolver the weapon swap one?
The 30% weakspot talent, for example
Regen grenade is a must
If it doesn't give me important breakpoints, I don't give a shit about having it
Exactly. Vet has ALOT of passive nodes that we simply cannot go without, depending on the setup we're trying to use. And alot of them are scattered throughout the tree so it costs alot to get them because the tree is extremely narrow and doesn't let use dip to either side of it without first paying a 1-2 point tax
Oh I know, it takes more, just redirect some of the ones you really don't need.
If you're confident at dodging, then drop the toughness and don't complain.
Yes, pretty much
aight cheers
I'm not gonna die if the poxwalker doesn't eat 30% more damage from specifically the headshot bonus
How is the revolver on the squad leader tree? Really not sure what weapon is best for that tree besides plasma.
why shouldn’t we complain?
is anyone else finding their vet super fucking strong after patch
that one I think should be melded into vet but maybe turn it down to like 15% or 20%. The idea being your math will just scale with you
Plasma works really well with it too, 10 stacks is enough for 4 shots on demand
no, it won’t, obviously
What build are you running bro
stealth melee with catachan and revolver has been really fun for me
Good chance with all of our comments the devs already know.
I mean, it's an objective reality that veteran costs more points than other classes to reach a keystone.
I'm just going to go back to pre-patch philosophy. Treat the keystones the same way we used to treat the red nodes
if youre gonna go the wannabe zealot heretics deep in a horde (this is an actual strategy) then revolver with a good horde clear melee with third three is really fun
Just plain not worth the price of admission
Anyway I'mma bring funny marksman helbore to auric
but if you’re dissatisfied with something you should be vocal about specifics, you shouldn’t just be quiet and expect the devs to fix it for you
Actually wait a minute...
I find that my playstyle (marksman, infantry lasgun.) was nerfed into the dirt in comparison to being softlocked even harder into melee/voice of command vet
Hope I don't get a smite spam psyker
the ping one seems ok, easy extra damage from the base and the buff on kill
Which shotgun should i focus on?
this is just krieg guardsman gameplay
you literally had to make that choice back then now that I'm genuinely thinking about it if you wanted to go all the way to the bottom.
not sure if I'll run stealth, just updating my old revolver marksman build
My stealtg build cleaves through everything
Lasgun marksman vet pumps but feels awkwRd to play
Havent tried middle tree but focus fire seems the most straightforward
Positive way to look at the amount of points we need, "Clearly we're so fucking skilled at the game, FS has decided to nerf us by making us forego a few things."
None they all suck. They do so little damage relative to their ammo cost that they cannot compete with nearly anything else
FS would have to break this game to break veteran.
that's the joke, most of them aren't 'optional'
alr then, back to helbore it is
quick question: for Be Methodical, are you required to keep volley fire active for 20 seconds 5 times within one mission or just total?
slug shotgun with full bore and no respite has been useful in auric
the mk7 and the mk9 are useable, but not amazing
I don't have proof, but what veteran is to this game is what mercenary and all similar archetypes are in vt2.
5 times in one mission, you have to let it run out
XII lasgun + executioner stance + left tree honestly goes hard especially on the new map with choke points abound
I'm sure Ogryn would like an endless supply of grenades too, or even zealot with whatever that fucking knife does. 😆
while they’re definitely not the best weapon, they are by no means weak
i mean if they arent that good and are like required to be amazing, im not gonna waste plasteel and dockets
the movement restriction really pisses me off, is the best way around that just to crouch walk? I've been seeing it sometimes
they are all viable picks, most ranged weapons are now
if you’re looking for best in slot? No
it’s not what you’re looking for
Shotguns don't suck. Lawbringer/Kantrael for horde clear w/ scattershot+flechette/manstopper. Agripinna full bore+no respite/manstopper for sniper rp
Movement restriction is what bothers me the most
If the shotguns all had higher innate amounts of cleave I could see them being decent into hordes and stuff. But last I checked they hit maybe a bare handful of shit if its stacked densely
there was a literal cage match fight yesterday on this chat with this same topic lol, honestly using the 3sec/1sec grace time to reposition is more than enough if you need to dodge a horde thats getting to close
thats too much mumbo jumbo for me
the fire one can pierce a horde with the special- but the flames dont do enough damage to kill even a poxxer
this isnt perfect but its ok, and i wouldnt take it past heresy imo
Lawbringer acts like a kickback if you aim for the head
me too, and being locked into JUST headshots, doesn't work for anything else
most you can do in my experience is to start actually planning your shots a bit more and taking the time to not devote yourself to building a lot of stacks but just pacing yourself. That's it. I run infantry lasgun builds with solid melee in auric 5's and I don't have many issues.
Ay does anyone know if competitive urge has a cooldown or if it can reset proc whenever as long as the 8% hits?
the slug round counts as all pellets for some blessings
Camouflage crab is such a "e.e What are you doing?" moment to me.
Lawbringer Kantrael kill many heretic. Agripinna kill one heretic big damage
I'm a noob, what should I do with this?
grab a shovel and stay crouched the entire mission. Use Shovel dodging to get around. Stand to aim over cover, you can occasionally drop it and move normal if you need to for safety and get the stacks back very easily
hmm. I still just don't like the idea, it's a movement shooter and nullifies my entire favourite build (ducking and diving into cover, popping a few heads on elites and repositioning again with the infantry lasguns)
Im an adhd fiend so i dodge constantly. I dont mind the headshots so much
lawbringer has very solid primary fire
manic to flak, then either slaughter or rampage for sunder
Change Sunder to Slaughter
aye, maybe I'll give it a shot I suppose
dogshit?
What level are you? Dont upgrade much and just hoard every materials until you're lvl 30
I've finally done it
lawbringer primary has the lowest damage full clip in the entire game
honestly blindly firing into a horde with atleast aiming for the upper part nets me 3 headshots getting almost full stacks already then i just juggle with the grace period for movement, maintaining the 10 stacks the whole fight. I get that its tedious work just to mainting a buff but i like the idea of resource management
literally not one weapon that does less damage than it in a full clip
Guns with medium to high ammo capacity, accuracy and magazine reserves make it far more manageable. With the right tempo, you're not going to lose your stacks and you'll be able to recover them from a baseline. The key with pacing your shots is what makes it matter.
I might just make Keystone-less Vet builds
Am I wrong in this? Hahaha
just reload 4head
I am 30, but not for that long lol
I run kantrael 12 with 90 percent headshot so i annihilate things either way
Sometimes i run mark 4 since it feela so good now hipfiring
unlike other guns that require you to reload whole mags you can just load in shells that you’re missing, especially if you run either of the reload talents
it’s fast and snazzy
2800 damage go brrrrrrrrr
Marksman focus should be based on headshot/bodyshot/whiff instead. 1 Stack per Dink, Lose 1 stack per body, lose 2 when missing. Easy, donezo beans.
It's not a bad thing to burn through a horde and that's why you lose stacks. But if you want them that badly then that's what you'll have to do. If you're lacking without the stacks, you need to reassess your loadout. Maybe get some more dmg or some better utility on your weapons with the blessings
do you run camo?
agripinaa shotgun has been my alternative to the revolver when I wanna shoot more
Infiltrate, low profile. Fire at head level into a horde. You'll get your stacks easily.
Any columnus autogun chads in here
Glad to know we're still talking about it lol
I run camo in almost every build not because I want to crouch walk but so I can use it as a means to force the stack to stay at a baseline so that the next engagement isn't going to cost me anything. I almost never lose my team playing like this.
I doubt I’m much more skilled than other players and consistently doing well with the lawbringer tells me that it’s definitely viable
Yeah, this pretty much. Please don't crab walk. e.e
I mean this time the point is to actually discuss how it works and not just say only one thing again and again.
Ammo buff for shotguns definitely helped
The reload bug fix was such a QoL godsend
Don't be that weird Veteran cosplaying as a ratling like the DiggaNobs cosplay as orks
:/
executioner stance, if i really want heads in a pinch, i activate it pop a head then run to reposition. 3 seconds is a really long time to run and dodge around. If i feel i need to move more than 3 seconds i just pop a head again and get another grace period. Its really adrenaline pumpin ngl and i find my self flick into heads more consistently
How do you deal with the fact that you can't kill more than 2 ragers out of a pack of 10 before neading to reload? If you're using the lawbringer and not just immediately dying to anything heavier than a pack of 4-5 dregs I very much want to know your secret
Stagger and then let everyone else finish for you xd
I deal with situations as I need to, mixed horde and ragers? I go melee with grenades, single targets or high prio targets? I use shotgun
the 3 other guardsmen running plasmas with you
"Let us introduce ourselves"
it’s just using your game sense and your kit
I use catachan parry spam whenever there's a group of ragers
I use the perk that gives more damage based off distance to targets. Then I take them out before I aggro them. If they are charging me my stamina usually can get me far enough away to get a round or two reloaded
I need to get a better shotty but I lowkey just use my melee a lot and then punch holes in hordes with a few shots on weapon spec then go right back to melee.
I found out that shovel consistently knocks ragers out of their attack animation using the special attack
by camo I meant the keystone modifier that allows you to crouchwalk and not lose stacks
You dont need the node to get that. Its default functionality
Hows the focus target skill? Just ran a couple aurics with it and it was realy putting in work but I wanted to know the consensus
are you consistently dying to ragers?
All the node does it GIVE you stacks for crouchwalking
The special staggers mutants out of their charge on a headshot too.
If there's a big enough mob of goons n nades and all that are down, shotgun is a guaranteed stagger
What does Slaughter even do? I don't have it unlocked yet lmao
didn't know that. cool
Kantrael with flechette is so nice with wep spec
ah yes i do i mainly use it for the passive stack gains so I get 10 stacks immdietly before a major fight and just resource manage those 10 stacks the whole fight
Lasgun IA, krak, and bleed knife user.
When dealing with a horde that has berserkers in the mix, I stay behind the team, and do range stuffs. Of course spot them so they know.
infiltrate and low-profile do wonders so they don't go straight to you, or for getting behind them if you have a good backstab knife.
Waht does flechette do/
I'm trying to figure out what my favorite melee weapon for Veteran is, and I keep leaning towards the Force Swords.
Bleed on crit. Kantrael has infinite cleave as well
it all seems like too much gymnastics for me
ah
definetly not for everyone yes so I get alot of people's qualms for it lol
If more than 1 ever manages to get on top of me, yes. They don't stagger to anything but really heavy hits and once they start hitting me I am guaranteed dead cuz they hit and stagger me out of literally every action in the game every half second or so. Can't even dodge cuz they just hit me out of it. If a rager is one top of me and I don't already have my shovel out mid-special animation I die unless someone can kill it off me
I want to use Kantrael so badly. I just can't get the right build for it.
weapon spec just happens
Can't shoot can't even light attack
damn!
I feel the same with that and my MG 1a too

I try to block it eats my entire stamina bar in two hits and then i'm dead
Might switch to camo to do the same. The 15 stack option seems like overkill
ill do a quick test in the psykanium and show you my results of ragers
with full stacks and maybe 20 meters I can one shot a carapace armored rager.
footage may suck ass though since I don’t have a capture card
Carapace rager?
If I see more than three ragers in a crowd I step back and lob a krak. Fuck em
It 2 shots carapace ogrer
DM it. I have to go make food cuz I'm starving, I'll watch upon my return
thats the neat part about rager starting their attack animation, you dont fight them you mainly block and dodge back until A. A teamate bails you out or B. you can get enough distance that you can pull out your gun and blast the guy, rinse repeat
not risking it lmao
all goods
Dude with the chain axe and armor
Here's a video I did in psyk with mixed ragers, horde, maulers, crusher, and bulwark.
#veteran-class message
Oh you meant flak.
But then the director decides to spawns in silent mauler crusher pack behind you cos fuck you
Scab Rager
I did it to show how fast one gain regain marksman focus stacks, but I guess its also a good example of how I handle the rager issue solo.
I was scratching my head since ragers don't wear carapace.
Yeah this dude too
just director things. Or spawns just 1 poxwalker thats a former NBA superstar and makes the perfect screen messing up your dodge
There's only 2 types of ragers in the game though.
there's always that one poxwalker that just walks up behind you seemingly out of nowhere. Just one. Nothing else. Just the one.
One that wears no armor and one that wears flak.
Actually just need the perk where aiming down sights increases crit and I one shot
I find Dreg ragers more dangerous than the Scab ones. They have more aggressive attacks
On a Kantrael Shotgun, Is Fire Frenzy or Deathspitter better?
does a melee kill with a ranged weapon count as melee or ranged?
can point blank head shot them and they die
Oneshot because mauler overhead brushed my fat dumpy
Take both if you're going that route
point blank might be a bit optimistic
Laughs in plasma gun spam
I'm going to go with melee.
Well, the marksman experiment got absolutely mauled by shit wifi
for wep spec?
yeah
Nah I'm taking full bore
Full bore and one of those
It's not my thing lol.
thats not what i mean
if you get a bayonet kill, is that a ranged weapon kill
Lol flashlight on weapon customization just too good.
Never used one of these before, what do I do now?
Since the game is usually very anal about stuff.
to each their own style
Replace wrath with power cycler IV and block efficiency to something like maniac probs.
thinking say if you run no ammo modifier, and you dont have ammo, can you proc melee by getting a bayonet kill
Fire frenzy. Kantrael doesn't need the extra power
question, I'm making a revolver build (my old one was for 1 shotting crushers, and playing ranged.) I want to use the weapon swap keystone, and I also want to use executioner's stance. Should I run the ammo regen, or go right for agile engagement?
I only have 3, but that will do
thats like horde cleaner 9000
What about perks?
switch out wrath for power cycler and maybe replace one of the perks with flak/maniac
power up sword light attack 2 times, power up again rinse repeat
I wouldn't really know and idk the dmg on it and wouldn't bother and just use my normal melee tbh.
block efficiency to probs maniac.
Cool, ty
OR I slow down my gun use and play around trying to force melee where I can.
The ammo economy get reinterpreted depending on how you're building and playing your veteran.
imo
I thought the kant would be all about scattershot/flechette, going the regular damage route seems like a waste.
i say you can try running third, most people run survivalst anyways and most people are veteran players
Find a different sword
Is there a way to save a skill tree so I don't have to rebuild everytime
I don't mod. Oh, well
yeah, I should really make a build when I'm in a lobby with another veteran who is running survivalist.
fair enough
There’s an in game loadout system
Kant has the highest dmg per shot and stagger
also when you make a new preset, it copies your current
it's a safe one and doesn't seem to break stuff
No
Increased characters and loadouts mod. Lol I like that mod.
But why, of all the shotguns
idk reasons
because dragonbreath is cool.
what is the charge las rifle? is it the helbore?
let the man cook
or is it some recon one?
melk giving me something good for once?
hellbore
krieg las rifles
The gameplay is pretty fun. Special ammo to soften horde then proc blessings and go crazy with fire frenzy
lucius (helbore)
which mk?
DAMMNNNNNNN
Recons are full auto smg type
All helbores function the same with charging, only difference is damage/rof/charge time
MKIII if i remember does most damage per shot
but charges slower than MK1 and 2
I was wrong. It wasn't a mod. There's a + mark in your operative menu
That's how you get them
I was looking for damage per shot. I don't mind the charge time
3 has the most synergy with surgical, some people don't even run onslaught (blessing) on it anymore
zero clue how many slots you can have
They hid that way to well. I never would have seen that
2 is like a k12 with shittier sights but better armor damage
MK3 is like the Kantrel XII but with krieg flavoring and more damage per shot espcially heads
Real shit, any advice for fishing for better weapons without blowing the money for it or do I just have deal and complete missions/buy and consecrate?
There's an issue with onslaught on mk3 when servers haven't been reset for while. Can't chain link charges
mk3 helbore is more like a plasma gun
I guess I am looking for damage per shot, something with precision. I like the revolver but want something new
just remember to check the store and melk
plus you get a bayonet, pretty cool
I'm getting impatient with the loop and I never looked into ways to make it faster that don't need curio modifiers
I just wait to get lucky
fair fair
There's no way to bypass the RNG grind.
That's extremely strange and exactly as expected of a fatshark game
yeah I tried.
Yesterday I found a greenautogun in the store at 380 with a tier 4 perk
I was so surprised
Yeah it's a ghost input buffering bug. Longstanding too.
what are best plasma blessings?
I once ran the new mission with a Kantrel XII without getting ammo pickups. the Free ammo from Crit + survivalist is insane
I don't like that that's how this game works with the item progression tbh. MAkes things a slog sometimes.
thosetwo
You can try waiting for emperors gifts, but a usable (much less good) one is very rare. Playing on regular quickplay damnation will get you a pretty good amount of resources.
ah, neat
those two are gucci imo
This charges right?
I did this with the blue infantry lasgun using deadshot
It was entertaining
but again, for Plasma you really need good stats and good perks over the blessings
thats Kantrel , get the Lucius one
Darktide crafting should do it like Destiny weapon crafting
let me level up my Knife
wasnt sure if this was better
mk III?
That's the infantry lasgun, itt uses a few ammo per shot but I doesn't charge
I might honestly just stop doing aurics and go for damnation. easier experience for more clears durin a play session I guess.
nah, that bugs out the plasma unless it's fixed
You're looking for the musket
if you have too much charge speed it deals less damage
anyone else love squishing monstrosities to death with doors? Cheesy but extremely funny...
idk if item quality drops go up exclusively with tier of difficulty or something
the damage is really low 😦
I really miss the chest system from vt.
So weapons specialist 330 crit isn't a typo? What's the point above 100?
That's what I was doing for a good bit to farm resources, but now I have a decent stash and am getting bored.
It's Multiplicative and not additive probably
Getting like...five weapons in one run was a lot cooler.
I noticed auric damnations almost always drops highest rarities
Or they are insane, either way
why do you go for flak on a lasgun?
Yeah that's true
so keep blessings and reroll perks to flak/mani?
200k fishing for a 370 modifier... fml lol
I put unarmored on it so you can one shot stormtroopers and melee dudes
you dont, you aim for the head
It's just I'm not going to always complete aurics super consistently unles sI'm playing with some friends or something
To get 100% crit after 3 stacks. Pull out revolver. Go back to melee
And I think I'm at the point where my damnation completions are guaranteeing transcendant drops. idk if the blessing tiers tend to stay higher in aurics though.
Hey, you didn't lose 700k for a 370 sword you were just going to use for experimenting.
but yes putting carapaced/maniacs or anyhitng you feels needs one shotting works
That'd be the deal breaker because my biggest issue rn is just the slog of collecting higher tier blessings.
I would have stopped way before that lol
It'd be easier if you got more than one weapon from a mission clear.
Brunt Grind makes me limp and feeble
Carapace on a lasgun sounds really silly
Like two would be better. Three would be best.
You do like 5-20 damage a shot
I need more Ordos PLEASE
spent 2 weeks crafting 3 recon lasguns from profane to highest difficulty jsut to get infernus, i did not get infernus on all 3
Just like back in VT2. I'd be more than happy with 2 at least.
When I play veteran I just ping crushers and stay away from them
Melk came in clutch and sold me one with Infernus 4
Yeah, that's the kind of thing that annoys me. I'll grind stuff but cmon.
Just a crumb>
like half of one?
I am most certainly not feeling the love trying to play marksman vet
this just dropped for me boys, what do i change about it
Infernus is on the forbidden blessing list and drops only rarely, even though it's more mediocre now
Don't. 😄
Feels several times worse than just getting a good melee weapon and going wild
Do you not have a solid melee weapon?
I do, plenty
go into an auric maelstrom with only scab and hit f and watch as all of the scab troopers light up on your screen
I love playing generic fps man
pressing F in a map with Fog modifier and suddenly your screen lights up like a christmas tree
Good times
Well, the melee weapon works, it's just the whole marksman part that's missing me
Lol weaker monstrosities auric maelstrom is so chaotically fun.
I like lights out and fog.
maybe veteran doesn't have the huge stopping power but he's really good at picking off a lot of little targets fast
I'm getting more mileage out of slapping everything at close range and leaving the gun as a gift for the bad stuff
Lights out is my go to for any auric mission. If I see that icon, I'm clicking it.
You don't realize how painful fighting 600 shooters on the map is until You're playing someone who can only hipfire
Running with decent veterans that consistently hit heads will make you feel gunners dont exist at all
i love lights out on the outdoor missions, and it makes zero difference
You really can't go wrong with a solid melee weapon capable of addressing carapace reliably and a good lasgun and exestance
Have you seen 3 psykers do a congo line behind you because you're the one guy with a flashlight?
When I play I focus on ranged enemies, elites, and other creatures when I have the chance
Not even a weapon that kills carapace, just use the shovel to poke them and back away
but lights out on that mission that ends in transmitting at the big dish, total darkness, and that green flash at the end lets you see everything for the first time and its such a cool feeling
Ive run with 3 psyker trying to buld atlantis and just dome everything out of existense. I was a very happy veteran that day
I saw this too it was funny
I like when the dish finally transmits
with a tag build and lasgun that's a great wya to play. You're virtually never losing value since the targets you're having the most interactions with are easy to kill.
My first run through on the new mission was pretty much this. I just held the torch literally.
I love when nobody else uses ammo and I can let the revolver sing all game
It goes wumwumwumwumwum
personaly like having something that's not just a shovel but I've never made a transcended one.
The only thing I had to protect the psykers from were the crusher/mauler/bulwark groups. Krak is a hell of a drug.
shovel is not that good with no wide sweeps but the stagger is imaculate
They're solid but I like the chainsword/axe for carapace and rager kill efficiency. Haven't used axes yet but idk
Also I use falter on my lasgun and it immediately staggers anything that isn't a crusher or reaper
Which is amazing when there's 3 ragers rushing you
Falter is one of my favorite blessings rn.
you lose some dmg but the stagger basically just guarantees more.
so it's whatever. I'm a utility fiend.
the shovel with hammerblow will throw a mauler on the floor which is extremely rare because even explosions don't stagger them much
anyone else struggle with plasteel?
The shovel special interrupts attacking ragers
yeah you get to stun lock em
I never crafted a stagger based build. Frankly I just find it harder to make the headshots when they stagger. so that's a skill issue on my end.
we all do, it's a fact of life
The shovel is sooo under rated
also did you guys know if you headshot special a mutie with the shovel it stops him ?
I made him release a teammate
personal advice is to kind of figure out the sweetspot to aim for your cursor to hit head on those. usually the attack isn't actually going through the center of the reticle. That's justa guideline
The shovel does actually have wide sweeps but it doesn't cleave super well
2K plasteel later, time to stab some heretics
You know ironically, i have more plasteel than diamantine right now and it blows my mind.
Cries in Low Settings
i keep it on low-med to keep it around 100+
also fighting with the shovel at max range on chained heavies usually made up for the lack of cleave for me.
usually.
Lol I forget that low settings doesn't make the dark rooms as dark.
i wish it ran just a little better so i could crank it
when it didn't work I got fucked hard.
I keep it on medium to have 30+ FPS
Lol so you're like me for the most part.
I actually don't mind this because even if you don't instakill a gunner he stops shooting and you can shoot at the other two gunners standing next to him
but that was during og launch for darktide so powersword just trumped everything when I got it.
bruh
HOW
just fatshark things, been happening yesterday too
carnival mission btw
finally got me hat after the penance was fixed
Morrow was like, "No. Not him. Don't send him."
I have had a few crashes trying to play after the update
oh boi lets gooooo
these bad rolls are killing me smalls
Vet tree isn't bloated:
Vet tree:
Before u reach the end arena of the carnival, theres a monstrosity spawn point just before the bridge in which Morrow decided its time to abort the mission
This is the kinda mission you bring executor stance and lasgun on
thats carnival with the gunner spam at the end
my Krieger is ready
Nothing feels better than lining up a shot on a sniper and shooting first as his gun flashes
Or not i guess fatshark servers are taking a dive today
Could be server issues too. They're more frequent.
Personal fan of split second slide shot kill
Does the stam Regen delay affect dodge Regen?
I tried taking both nodes and it felt like it made the dodges Regen faster too
shouldn't
at least not to me
Why shouldn't it?
I play veteran very slow
I just walk or stand still behind my team shooting up baddies
NEver using that gun again
What gun
you might just be getting better at managing your dodge.
dodge is based off of your current weapon out, not stam
Dodges recharge at a separate fixed rate depending on your active weapon.
Stamina is a resource spent on multiple different actions.
anything but the revolver lol
idr but if you're dodging with a gun, you pretty much have zero properties to help you actually slip out. with melee, depending on the weapon you get multiple charges of dodge before diminishing returns.
you'll notice it by how much range you don't have after doing it too much.
Weapons like thek nife for example have a high dodge rate and longer distance and maybe speed (idk), meaning you can chain more if you have to/want to before diminshing returns. Can't speak on recharge but it feels like idk...maybe 2.5 seconds before your dodge rate resets.
So meaningful dodging and horde management > dodging because you're worried.
I feel like if your in a situation that you used up all your dodges and still need more, you have bigger problems on you hand and may need to regroup with your team
It's the charge of the MK III lucius helbore that is fucking me up RN. It's annoying to deal with
The dodge count mod helps here.
there was this one video on youtube that actualyl did a great job of breakingdown the basics of defense in a solid easy to follo way
fuck whoever they brought on for that one promoted beginner guide
MKI has shorter but pretty good damage
I'm gonna stick with the revolver lol
someone called like cookies something or whatever. Her defense guide
Yeah it's also got input buffer ghosting issues. You'll notice it if you try to charge a shot then fire an uncharged shot and then charge again.
how good of a pickup is this?
FS hasn't fixed that bug in months.
For the 90% accuracy penance does it track with ALL ranged weapons?
But they also don't restart their servers so I shouldn't be surprised.
Any ranged weapon qualifies for potentially completing the penance.

this one
Really solid one
MKI with faste charging per shot bops, takes less than half a second to fully charge deals almost 40% more damage than the kantrel
Did you guys notice the difference hellbores have different bayonet attacks?
One of them has a sweep and the other has a stab
whole guide is mostly still relevant since it's just going over the fundamental basics of the game.
Yes.
the sweep makes me ashamed to be honest, why even. its a stabby stick
The gun is fine. its a skill issue
Emperor gave me this, I know I want brutal momentum but what else would you change on this?
The scab troopers have a slash attack too
They wind it up really slow which I think is funny
Could keep shred, could keep AON
All or nothing is actually fun
I wish I could put it on my shovel
Because as I keep pushing and dodging I don't really regen stamina
If keeping AON I'd swap the crit chance for unyielding and shred for BM, but if keeping shred I'd also keep crit chance and do funny melee vet
combo all or nothing with the perk that drains stamin when aiming. the moment you pull out your melee it has the wrath of the emperor with it
not bad
Honestly this right here should just be in pinned until the game changes drastically again or something. I forgot about this one lmao. https://youtu.be/JYv7SsM7s9k?si=I01wGrGjc0Pkf0MY

oops
fixed it
@dusk idol big scope looks cool on Laspistol but the sight picture is horrendous
it is indeed
Okay thanks I'll probably go the AoN route then, one other thing, stability isnt important for las guns right? Cause I just go this off melk
I didnt have a decent 1a and this looks okay
it’ll see you through
till you upgrade
good stat distribution
I will not compromise my accuracy for aesthetics
But I wish it was less egregious
Stocks being heresy on bolters in codex astartes would like a word with you
The la is probably the most stable because of the fire rate alone.
It'd be important if it actually did something, I have a max stability 1a and 4 and they both still bounce a ton even with volley on
but watching a dog crumple against a wall will always be timeless
I barely noticed. Dogs definitely are more telegraphed.
Yeah I like the basic lasguns the most but had a decent XII before, really using anything else feels bad to me for the most part, I like the recons too but those seemed to be nerfed
Did Tinkerer bug gets fixed? I did not see it anywhere
it was fixed
thank the emperor. That was such a mess.
I think the keystone on the left would feel better, even keeping movement restrictions, if you got 1 stack per weakspot hit (max 1/second) or similar
On top of existing kills
does no respite affect fire rounds
u gud np. I legit wouldn't know certain major changes aside from maybe reading a patch note section here and there or just meathead learning from experience. The most noticeable change since the overhaul is definitely the dogs. They're similar to the gutterrunners with the telegraphed lunges.
they just, straight up stop moving, then jump.
poxbursters feel tougher somehow but I jsut shove em anyway
idk I never shoot them as a rule of thumb unless they're clustered in nicely and far away from others.
This is my favorite lasgun
I don't think the las guns are as consistent as the revolver... at least the way I play
I have a 380 one with falter and the blessing that reduces ammo usage
After waiting to fire
also unarmored and infested target damage
It's flexible enough to fire into a horde in a panic or line up proper headshots on dug in troopers/gunners/baddies
Just don't expect to kill maulers/crushers/monstrosities fast
Yeah, that's my play style lol. It's too inconsistent in its damage output for me. I am acknowledging the skill issue at play here
If I had any amount of breathing room it would have been fine but I kept getting left out to dry
lasguns/revolvers still do pretty decent damage if hit at their weakspots and its continous if you can line up follow up shots. that is if your not being swarmed my the mauler gang
Would break on some guns tbh
Like an accatran 6d would just get 15 stacks in like 2s
recon lasgun gonna make you 10 stacks and keep you at 10 stacks
And as much as recons could do with a buff. I rather they be buffed directly than through a keystone
I know lol, I couldn't get any breathing room to shoot anything. With the revolver I can at least kill the specials and dip while I reload. I think the other thing is that I didnt have anything to get me out of trouble with elites when they got close because the combat knife sucks at armored
frags should give you some breathing room, for melee chainsword or the power sword is your go to for both hordes and elite/specials. A charged up chainsword would melt mutants and two shot maulers if hit in the head
The left node should also work when ADS instead of just standing still
like passively gain stacks while aiming ?
No just not reduce stacks
what blessings are good on the combat shotgun?
gonna have to ask others for that rarely use shotguns lol. i like to keep my distance
what shotgun
The one that starts with A and has the slug shot
Heyo anyone have the discord invite for the weapon edit mod?
forgot the name
the agri is probably no respite/full bore for slug interaction
cool, already got full bore. I'll have to check out no respite. It's pretty awesome on a shout / weapon specialist build
thanks
Which autogun is the good one people have been talking about?
all of them
the v is best for triggers
probably fire frenzy/deathspitter is the popular choice
fire frenzy goes hard cause you trigger off shitters fasters
everyone likes to sleep on raking fire but.. ive had a lot of matches where something will beeline a teammate and i can end up super nuking it from orbit with raking fire on
definitely preference, i get raking fire but man i hate conditional stuff like that
uptime is king
but it can rock for sure, raking % goes high as balls
its 180 degrees
its actuallyu extrmely generous
the degree of counting for "behind" enemies is half their view
you just do a dodge to the side of them and bam, 40%
i dunno, maybe its not perfectly ideal but i like it
ty ty
especially when a boss has its back to me because it's attacking someone else, that's when it really comes in
I think the problem with it is that overall its damage is just okay without headshots so it takes noticeably longer to kill something like a maniac or even a scab bruiser without headshots
Probably to make up for the big mags
looks like han solo's blaster
It's faster to shoot a drug bruiser in the body than in the head with the La
Dreg
With mine at least
Is that the blue one with the skeleton stock
I used to use that on my shock trooper type guy
The blue lasgun
I like that it has a ton of ammo
I used it to blast maulers really fast
That's what it is good at to me
What's wrong with stripped down
all in all its just an effective weapon
You can run straight at a gunner
Ngl atm it already kinda does.
You usually only drop stacks when you are forced onto melee or have to reposition
I used it with infernus
I think people are too scared of marksmans focus
It actually sounds great to me
it's a skill check
sexy, unarmoured isnt the worst thing to be stuck with
land a headshot
might change flak to maniac though
yeah shes a beaut of a lasgun
yeah im debating between maniac vs flak but im leaning more towards flak
maniac is sooooo good for breakpoints on relevant targets though
Frankly you dont have to stop moving
I would say flak solely so if you have to fight maulers you can blast them faster
I actually like to stand still so I have no weapon sway
I'm weird
But I use the thing that gives you toughness on headshots and bonus resistance to toughness damage
The big lasgun La
The brown one but not the absolute highest damage per shot
The one in the middle
Oh ok understandable but weird gun to take marksman with 🤔
thoughts?
Why
Precisely cos of the sway
It sounds like the kind of keystone to use with executors stance
Yea its also one of the guns i wont use with exec stance xD
Mostly cos it hates pressurr
I use executor stance with the thing that highlights all shooters
So it works for me
how good is No Respite on a mk 3 helbore? i got a great roll minus getting sustained fire again and im looking to swap it
I 2 shot a few maniacs with two headshots
Do you want to know my actual ridiculous gun and perk combo
Columnus auto gun with deadshot
Horrific
Its onslaught and surgical as the blessings you want
roger
lol speak of the devil, just rolled onsllaught 4 lol
Between they eyes just gets overshadowed by the supression immunity skill
No respite is fun on a shotgun
If the first shot didn't kill the person now they're on the floor and will take an extra 100 damage on the next
there thats better, lol
My favorite shotgun is the lawbringer
I wish you luck with that gun. It doesn't jive with me too well
its my favourite for vet honestly, it took a while getting used to but i cant live without it now
have you guys used the Columnus autogun with weapons specialist
You blow through your entire magazine in like 3 seconds
It's insane
i personally dont find the irons on it that bad. i mean they arent amazing but i still dome heretics easily
should i get
I feel it. I just tried one and I could see how it would be a good weapon if you could play around the gun
Max health roll but no good perks
i dont know anything about head hunters, is this worth melk bucks?
the only enemy that embarasses me in front of my team is hounds which instant transmission so damn fast i only ever hit their after image lol
the psykhanium needs like, a poxhound skeet shoot mode
Usually insn't a problem with the revolver because you always get your base damage in an instant
However, the reloading every 3 seconds is a bit annoying
Are chain axes worth trying? I currently use a combat knife and never did try one out lol
Need something with a bit more oomph for up close. Knife is great for small guys, not so good with armor
wait, what keystone is that?
i prefer chainsword since it swings faster but axe is good if you want raw damage i think
Weapons specialist with the left modifier
I'm not gonna give the chainsword peddler the satisfaction lmao
consider this: shovel THONK
Best catachan sword?
chainsword is fun because I used to think the best way to deal with hordes was just spam heavies with it then I realized how fast the lights were
i do miss the shovel sometimes
It actually depends I think
what do you wanna use it for
The one on the right? It's written there in your talent tree.
i dont miss the shovel because i still use it 😎
I use the left one...
the first golden catachan claw is great at hordes
For clearing up groups I think
does anyone know if the mk12 las gun still holds up nowadays or has it fallen behind with the health increases
I too engage in a mild amount of shovel tomfoolery
You probably want the golden catachan then
It's still good if you can click on heads.
It has two horizontal heavies
TTK is still good.
And fast lights that end with a downward blow
ive been using it, it has gone from excellent to alright. elites definitely take a lot more shots now
The other Kantrael lasguns have just been brought up to par with it so they have roughly similar TTKs.
It still has the high damage parry
Is that the MKVII?
any reason to use over helbore other than ease of access
Shouldn't stop you from reading the other keystones though.
I have lost my ability to read
Reasons would include not wanting to deal with ghost input buffering bugs on the Mk3, more reliable ease of use, and a more effective anti-shooter weapon or at least one that's easier to use than the helbores. The helbores primary value comes from anti-carapace options.
I forgot the name sorry but it has a flat blade with a golden handguard
But I personally find kraks and power sword push attacks to be more than enough for that.
cool ill try it
i was using vraks 7 as my sniper but want to try las gun again
The one with holes in the blade has a first horizontal heavy then a big overhead so it's a bit more flexible
AHA you did leave
I was hoping you wouldn't see me asking about the chain axe lol
😎
I love the chainaxe, but it's not very good
CChainaxe is based
Fucking awful weapon
I love it
Nah, it's actually got great horde clear, good elite killing, and fantastic mobility
just remove camera snap on it and we are good
You put Knife at A even thugh Knife is kinda hot garbage
can laspistols reliably kill carapace?

Playing chainsword after playing eviscerator makes me sad
Knife is not hot garbage
Knife does go fast, this is true
You might be hot garbage with a knife lol
takes onslaught and like infernus but sure it can do the job, but your better of powersword MK6ing them in the face.
It is on armored enemies though
understandable
I'll concede that point
I don't understand the chainaxe but I use it on zealot
I don't think I know how to use it still
im trying to put together ye olde sergeant build because i dont actually have one
That's why I have other weapons for that.
It's weird that the chain axe isn't always running. Seems to defeat the purpose
What's a good melee to pair with plasma?
Have you hit anyone with an ordinary light with it
Chainsword H > H > L > Sprint cancel > * is great clear, though.
it saws through them
it does rev if you swing it but
I believe it runs when you swing it though, and its slowly moving at all times so I think its on but not revved
Needs to do more damage though I shouldn't have to swing twice to saw through a plain dreg bruiser
something for chaff clearing
Depend on your range weapon/melee/grenade combo as if your range/grenade are better at dealing with hordes you might want a single target melee weapon but if your using a range/grenade that kill single target easily you might want a melee weapon that clear waves easily
OOOOHHH light attacks are the armor piercing attacs
Remember to bring only your weakest weapons to auric 5's, everyone on your team will enjoy the extra gameplay
and the ones that get stuck
I love having to light spam with headtaker to get reasonable damage for a special

It's flexible
Oh, no, it's not just that. It is actually good. I used the chainsword even when it wasn't great. I do like it, I just also am aware when it's good. It is good.
i love chainsword for the fast slaps to deal with poxwalkers quickly and the revved heavy swing when something mean gets too close. it just feels too good chewing threw it
That’s the point
I love the sound of hitting flak with chainaxe lights
you can say an axe is better than a sword at single target but the axe struggles with big groups of people
bromentum
you still have to hit twice to activate the horizontal swing on the big blue axe
This is because it's stupid to be tuned like this with a blessing
why is this a thing
You also put it below the DC4 which is about on par.
Which combat axe?
new brand of stupid vet that cant read appeard
-picks the tagging keystone
-spam tag on everything that can be tag on the screen being an annoying idotic muppet
It really shouldn't be that way
Bromentum is a mistake, yes, it continues to be a mistake.
you dont just fuck up the bonus u get from it , u also making it noisy and showing us how much of a fucking idiot u are for not being able to read tooltips and testing it out at the psykarnium
Also just to be clear you have to use a blessing to get that effect
the chainsword just does that
Actually spam tagging is the way to go
Cos u get a stack refunded per kill
So everything has 2 stacks
If you don't use it the axe just becomes a monster at blowing up carapace and heads
The knife does it a little worse but has high mobility
And thats just free team toughness regen
thats really annoying
Ur getting free toughness. You will live
I concur. Unless what was tagged was killed
then they get a pass
I think the way that keystone is supposed to be used is to mark an actual high priority target so it takes less time to kill it
Ok yea if u arent killing what ur tagging then its bad
the muppet spam tagging everything before the first tag dies instead of waiting it to die first before tagging the next thing
Like put it on a sneaky trapper
yea
alao it feels cool having a fun and special yellow enemy tag ehhee
feels like a commander
Or a crusher in your face
Ah a bind to LMB guy
Yea i see
the first tagged not dead and the idiotic muppet just spam it
Then that's annoying
yeah now i want a feature where i can just mute the sfx from other players cuz they are too stupid to read and know wtf it does
spam tagging may be annoying but it can win games
assuming not using new vet keystone
not if the tag spammer just spams it without waiting for the tagged to die first before tagging another
i just mean for intel agnostic to the keystone
^
budget wallhacks
yeah LOL
dont have to spam tagging it on everything the idiot just spams it all the time
next spammer i see i will reciprocate by doing my own spamming too
lets see how u like a noisy fucker in your team too
personally idgaf, i like the intel
¯_(ツ)_/¯
but i understand how the voicelines can get absolutely grating
Brutal momentum is soooo good!
so i feel for u on that
i understand to bring attention , i dont agree when that 1 idiot is spamming it the whole time until there is nothing in the screen for him to spam it
Quick question, how many units did you spawn here? I can't quite tell
😰
there is a difference to calling attention and being an annoying stupid git
Do you guys see the subreddit for this game
People keep screaming and crying that the keystones suck
no i dont use reddit
reddit is reddit
They don't
i dont use keystones
keystones are fine w/e but the tree itself is ass
You don't need the keystones anyway
literally remove that one stamina node at the top and soooo many builds open up
the tree is pretty constrictive on builds, i still managed to get what i wanted but i can see why people are upset
Let's be honest here
people think it's constrictive because you want always prepared
i guess my problem with the keystones is the damage buffs arent meaningful from my current playtesting
not because theyre too weak
but because by the time you get down there you've already picked up enough damage buffs to make them kind of null
y'know, marksman's focus isnt bad for a recon lasgun build
stack crit chance and shock trooper
the one that gives you effectively infinite ammo on a lasgun
You have to expend like
500 rounds on a lasgun to run out
What’s a good blessing set up for the Graia?
While Exhilarating Takedown is bugged, Out For Blood seems like an ok option. It just about doubles toughness replenishment for melee kills and lets you get some back on ranged kills
dumdum
when i use the ammo aura on vet i never run out of las ammo
I found myself with 2 points left over which isnt enough to reach anything good, but I can reach Out for Blood. Its a noticeable improvement to defenses
and i ALWAYS ammo aura because i love my ogryns
i tested the ammo perks on my new hellbore and yeah, i never have to change a mag lol. shits wild
Exh takedown is bugged?
not taking ammo aura feels like a handicap
i have like 1 build where i dont use it bc i want to distribute points and its always noticable im low on ammo
Playing Vet patch14 feels like a handicap
I take middle aura to save an extra point, also number go up
Im using the Columnus autogun on one build and I've accepted that I'm an ammo guzzler
its actually not so bad to not take it currently this patch
I grab all the ammo
it makes you take extra damage instead of giving you damage reduction
ive noticed after this patch, i tag ammo for other vets and they ignore it. its terrifying
that NEVER happens
For once our views align
wtf
that's the opposite of what you want
Vet chat
yes
its the opposite of wahts written
I used to use it to face tank gunners
which # helbore is that again
maybe not but you really feel it
its my favourite personally but you gotta be a kinda dude for it
the lack of ammo i mean
Idk I’m just asking in general
(or maybe i just play like a reckless ork who loves his dakka)
if you want full on marksman playstyle they are great
dakka dakka dakka dakka
Dakka = bang bang pew pew
You know, dakka
Is that the power boost for weakspot hits on ulting or the finesse power? Because the recons have comparatively very low base weakspot/crit damage.
The obvious counter argument here is that you can us the aura to enable more aggressive gun use for the entire team
