Hello, I am trying to understand how cleave works on the Heavy Eviscerator. The weapon I'm currently using has Cleave as it's dump stat, and I thought it was fine to use Rev It Up and Savage Sweep as my blessings. My hope is that this would allow me to continue locking down a wide area even if a carapace enemy enters my killzone. But I've also read that the HE has limited cleave capabilities beyond 4 targets. Not sure exactly how to tell where the breakpoint is, or if swapping my dump stat to mobility would actually enable me to swing through carapace enemies without worrying about needing a blessing slot to accomplish that
on light attacks, both eviscerators are damage capped to 4 targets, meaning they will damage the first 4 enemies, and then deal no damage (but still stagger) enemies beyond that. this number isn’t effected by cleave at all, and is hard coded. The mk15 evis on a revved light is capped at 6.
carapace is coded innately to stop cleave on all weapons
except with the blessing perfect strike, sunder, and one other i cant remember

I tried it on my maxed out bolt pistol and the heaviest other weapon I own, the spearhead boltgun and in both cases if I input a fire command while sprinting, my reject stops sprinting, raises the gun and fires.

and since the bastard survives a headshot I know it wasn't just because the extra damage was overkill

like you see at the end how the fov changes a bit, it happens in most games that have sprinting. for me it goes back to normal before the shot comes out

like, i press reload, it skips the magazine swap animation and everything and my character just racks the bolt and my magazine refills

i think it’s caused by a weird animation cancel related to sprinting and switching
but as far as i know, you can’t really replicate it with any consistency

normal/auric maelstroms are for more dockets, penances, and just flat out fun

Perks can be changed, blessings can be changed
Mod scores are stuck with their potential so you want one that has 80 in your damage relevant stats and 60 in dump stats like mobility or collateral or defenses

Is the recon lasgun bugged? I can't change the mark at all. I have them all unlocked and after I set the mark to something other than default, it doesn't actually change.

if you are, then try restarting your game or verifying your files

you have to choose a mark then press a big EQUIP
I am offended that you would think I wouldn't click equip. All my other weapons can swap marks without any issues.

Here's the thing, I don't use the recon lasgun at all. I don't really like it. But I had an idea for a build and recon lasgun would be perfect. So this is my only one, and it's been probably a year or longer since I used it last.

The weapon overhaul happened and now there is a tab where your loadouts are called masteries. Depending on how many blessings you had previously, you have an amount of points per family of guns and you unlock your blessings and marks of weapons through that. You can change any weapon to any other weapon that are in teh same family.
Then once you get the mastery as Wet said you can change it to any mark
It can be a little overwhelming, but it's all there. Nothing is gone.
Except the vet and psyker talent trees

- Mauls/Hammers special attack
- Throwing grenade under your feet and going full block
- Getting good, memorizing their attack patterns and killing them in these time windows
Aggroing them all to yourself, going full block+dodge, so your teammates can safely shoot them in the backs also works
But make sure they are ready to support you right after your initiation, because sometimes i get clowns who do anything except providing support fire to me
This is not really true, chain-weapons, shock mauls & thunder hammers aren’t good at dealing with multiple ragers (especially not thunder hammers)
Thunder hammers cannot 1 hit break rager combo without grievous wounds or using empowered attacks (which also self-stun and only hit 1 rager)
Playing 4-5 difficulty, didn't have problems with these
If you have creature spawner mod you can try to fight multiple ragers with thunder hammer, the lack of stagger option becomes really apparent

On zealot I’d recommend stuff like combat axe / crusher / DC sword / heavy sword / duelling sword for fighting ragers

Aside from range huh? Hmm and lets just say ability on CD. Usually a charged heavy can stun enough for one light so dodge then heavy then light. Theres some weapon specials that easily deal with them example: activation weapons most usually initiate a stun on them.
Oh a weak spot hit like a hit on their head works well after using shove and just keep holding attack button for the hit after shove its a 'free' hit then instantly dodge and follow the heavy light then repeat if you want. Hopefully though its only one or two..

and one last question, are QOL mods able to be used in online play, or will it disable xp etc
you will have time to level up weapons when you are level 30 and can more easily grind for recourses.
from my experince it's nice to have an off meta weapon that does some damage rather than a on meta weapon that is around item level 200 and act more like a suggestion to the hoards you will fight.
also commodore's vouchers exist and you can pick up on level gear from him if you want to level up that weapon class

What exactly are you supposed to do in this game? I am a bit confused as after 20 hours I have done each mission type. What am I supposed to be working towards ?
there is two common things.
1- items
The more you do content the more mastery levels you get and the more you can expand your build and get more stuff.
2- mastery
as in people like getting better at the game and doing harder and harder content.
I already have the revolver and the other weapons are a bit eh. Is the harder content any different ?
the harder diff stuff along with the build diveristy is the reason a lot of people log 1k hrs+
Hey guys! I start my game and get all the way to the after class selection screen but get stuck in that loading screen it seems to load on and on. I cant seem to get to the ship! Any help? Is there something causing the game not to load all the way? I've tried validating game files but that didnt work! Thanks!
I tried difficulty level 3, it is somehow easier. Maybe the others are somewhat more competent. I guess I will try 4 next

The game should default to the region with the lowest ping, but you can switch regions by going to the mission board and hitting... I think it's E
The game has that little thing where it gets easier if you have decent people on your team
Sometimes damnation can be easier than heresy because you might end up not stuck with 3 glue-sniffers
difficulty 4 is one of the steps that steps the difficulty up noticeably compared to 3, and difficulty 5 isnt much beyond 4, but auric and auric malestroms are where the game comes into its own, in that it generally presents you much larger hordes, and larger groups of specials/elites.
In non-auric missions if the ai director notices the party is struggling it'll pump the breaks and ease up on spawning stuff to give them a breather generally, auric doesn't have a limit to that degree, so if you just had 2 die and the other 2 are low on health the director won't care when it dumps 12 ragers, 10 specials, and a horde at them after they just got done clearing the last fight.
Difficulty 4 is definitely lot harder to complete as you seem to get dumped back into the hub for no particular reason
I'm looking at returning to the game, I quit a few months after release because I was not happy with the crafting system so with its rework I have some questions.
How much of it is a still a gambling casino for good weapons?
Can you make any weapon good now by sacrificing weapons to it, or do you still have to fish for a weapon with the right stat spreads?
Can you freely and without much hassle swap perks and blessings around or are there still restrictions other than unlocking/upgrading them?
How long at, max difficulty, would it take to make "good" weapons for different builds now?
What are the biggest hurdles to making multiple "good" weapons?
Essentially, I don't mind grinding towards a goal, but I don't like the RNG nature it had back then and how obnoxious it was to make weapons for different builds. Especially since it was waiting on shop resets or hoping for god rolls from mission rewards.
So far I am yet to find a weapon that actually does anything and I just use psyker abilities exclusively
only RNG that really remains is weapon base stats, which even then is still much less painful to get since you're basically just fishing for a dump stat and weapons tend toward a single dump stat anyway. Swapping perks and blessings can be be done freely (aside from the like 2-4k credit cost), weapon mark can be swapped in the same weapon category for free. Mats are easier to come by cause selling junk weapons now gives mats based of their rarity level.
how close can you sneak past the dämonhostes?
Would red path be possible? (befor testing, someone shot her and usually they are not that in the way, to block the only road forward)
Is it still all about waiting on shop resets or how do you fish for the correct stat distributions now?
I don't know if I had resources pooled up or not before I quit. Assuming I have none when I log back in. What should I try to do to more efficiently build up my resources? Sacrifice weapons I'm interested in and sell weapons I'm not for resources? Or are there other things to do?
Also, if you want less of a headache crafting a higher teir wep with maxed stats, fish for blue greens that are 350+ from the vendor
you can check armoury and melks for assured stat rolls but every weapon can be upgraded to max 380 stats now, and you can see what the stat caps will be before you invest resources into the weapon so if you see nothing that fits, you rng at brunts for your dump stat, in practice this usually takes me like less than 10-20 rolls
to the second run the highest difficulty you can clear at, ideally damnation, there's also 4 heretic icons that look like glowing green skull triangle totems strewn about the map, usually within every quarter section that're worth plasteel, in addition you get a weapon for completion that can be sold for mats/dockets so you can build up resource pools somewhat quickly. If you're swimming in dockets/melk money you can use those to buy weapons as mat/mastery fodder
also limited time weapons are also decent but are most likely going to be "average" from melk
its possible to do auric with lvl 300 weapons but it feels like booty to do so
Yeah back when I played I was able to do what was the hardest content at the time with white weapons, I was mostly burned out on not being able to make fun or meme builds easily to try different playstyles.
very easy to mix and match now. blessings are autodockets and so is refining perks
las burn swapping to las crit etc etc is like a game to swap back and forth 5-6 times
I have found a wep with 80% cap for all 4 main stats and 61% for the dump stat, the dump stat however is starting at 15%. Is it still a good idea to make this my craft wep?

first 4 difficulties are pretty doable even with random weapons from Servitor's shop

it's about dodge count
mobility is a parameter which does nothing for you when you have ur teammates to cover you
but is saves your ass when you are alone and your 3 clowns are hoping you will clutch this
so, if you usually don't find yourself as the last one standing, that knife is pretty much good for you

Ok, returning to my Rager research.
We will take for granted that straight hands can kill 20 ragers with shittiest weapon possible, so our aim will be to detect the most effective way to deal with ragers while using as few brain cells as we can
- Thunder hammer is ok vs 2 ragers at max if you chain fast-charged attacks well. You will be able to chain hit them before they come into senses.
- Crusher maul is ok vs 3 ragers since its power attack charges faster + stuns 1 nearby rager too. So if u don't fck up ur first attack timing, you will be able to crowd control all 3 ragers.
- Tactical axe's agility allows u to deal with 2-3 ragers if you dance around them good enough + special attack stuns them well.
- Devils Claw is OP, just spam parry
- Dueling sword is surprisingly good for duels! Who could know? Just poke ragers with special attack and finish them with good ol' reliable charged headshot
- Heavy sword's special also allows you to control ragers, but it's so slow that if u have any more enemies aside from ragers - you are cooked
- If you have Shovel, your best bet is to almost instakill one of ragers with charged attack+fast attack combo and then hope for the best
- Power maul and power sword have good cleave even on light attacks so you can try to bleed whole group to death if u know ragers' attack pattern well

So assuming you build for toughness on ogryn and end up with smth like 150 toughness
At full coherency, starting from 0 toughness, it’d take you 20s to regen back to full
With lynchpin and 3x toughness regeneration curio perks, that number goes down to 8.33s (max coherency)
Do be aware that this regen only really comes into play for a prolonged shootout where you don’t get the opportunity to gapclose
Usually you want to avoid this as much as possible
So decent for a gunlugger, no?

I have been doing heresy fairly okay for the most part but i have two problems with wanting to try out domination both related to my current computer's specs.
1- my computer can only run this game on low settings and it sometimes lowers the fps to almost unplayable when there is too much stuff on screen.
2- a strange recent issue i have been having is my s key sometimes stops working and i have to spam it until it starts to work again.

Auric Missions are Heresy or Damnation missions ||but I think the director is able to spawn more stuff in general, someone more knowledgeable correct me on this one|| that are guaranteed to be Hi Intensity, and thus have the dramatically increased Ordo Docket rewards for it. And then there's Auric Maelstrom, which are their own set of custom modifiers, e.g. enemies are randomly empowered, or when a specialist spawns sometimes a lesser HP monstrosity will spawn, or waves of mutants and poxbursters, etc

The thing is, what do you really gain with mobility? I don't really run around with the revolver out anyway. Usually it's for like 0.3s seconds to 1 tap something. It has gotten to the point where I'm questioning if surgical is even worth it
Dodge distance and the number of effective dodges are pretty huge for my playstyle at least. Can't recall if the 70% mark will let you have an extra effective dodge compared to 60% but the distance is always nice
so this is nice, but maybe not as worthwhile because it maxes reload speed?

if you want those specific rolls you need to find a weapon with that max stat spread, once you have the weapon with the stat spread you're looking for (starting and max stats are the only real RNG), bring it to Hadron and you can start increasing stats closer to max based on your current mastery level for that weapon.
you can also swap out perks/blessings at hadron and sacrifice weapons to increase your mastery faster. (Using the same weapon type is much more exp)

why are auto pistols bad?

- lack of ADS for precision shooting,
- bad scaling with crits/weakspots,
- relatively bad ADMs against anything that isn't Maniac,
SAPistol is a worse Vraks Mk5 Infantry Autogun on basically every level that matters

Making it so you retain mobility while shooting could be good.
Besides that, I think bracing SAP should come at a reasonably good spread decrease, so that things can be reasonably sniped at mid-range. Make it have better finesse scaling and ammo reserve (it's really odd to have a higher ammo reserve on 2/3 Infantry autoguns than on this thing, if I'm not mistaken).

If you have to care, try not to have overkill exceed your actual damage
U can also just turn off overkill damage display in scoreboard, that’s what I did
Some weapons will just inherently have high overkill damage

I was under the impression a weapons max was 80% but if I inspect a weapon that is for example 80%/80% for ammo reserves, the pop up on the side has a secondary ammo reserves range (in this case 18 - 45, mine is 35). How can I be "max" 80% but not a max roll

that's just how close Rashad is from being "the best" to "pretty good"
its just like a small nerf to damage away to being 2-hits to kill bruisers or being too much point investment
rashad has better damage, cleave is irrelevant due to brutal momentum, the push attack will stagger 3 ragers, and with a proper build, it becomes pretty OP

Like the Ogryn charge ability penance? Pick up a yellow stim, charge once, use the stim (you can likely use it shortly before charging the first time also), use the charge again
Only make sure you run the full length of the charge - otherwise you will need more than two uses of that ability
its more weapon dependent than power level
granted a power level 100 weapon even if perfect will likely suck ass lol
I got about 400 power weapons from playing heresy, not perfect rolls and blessings since I am levelling their mastery
I'm sure y'all get this question a lot, but how does one effectively deal with the high intensity specialist modifier? I can handle normal Heresy level missions, but get completely overwhelmed by the waves of specialists coming at me from all sides.
I mostly play Zealot, if that helps.

Hey so outside of really specific builds (eg stealth zeolot) is there any single target focused melee weapon that comes close to the dueling sword. Doesn't need to beat it. Just would like something else that compliments an aoe focused primary where I'm not actively shooting myself in the foot for not using dueling sword.

So far zeolot and psyker. Would like to try the flamer on zeolot and both the blast and fire staves on psyker.
Also there's nothing about the builds that makes me not want to take the dualing sword, I just don't like it animation wise and would prefer, if possible, to use something else while still doing higher level content

chain weapons don't work with zealot stealth, rev'd attacks can't benefit from shroudfield damage bonus because bug

to be clear i was talking about non zeolot stealth builds, since that's a case where there's a clear winner, specifically the combat knife.

Enemy health matches the respective difficulty, but the spawn rates and quantities are further increased, and the ai director that dictates the spawns has much less pity for the players (if you've ever noticed a calm lull after a really chaotic fight, that was the directors pity kicking in, auric director just continues trying to rip your nuts off regardless)
Can you buff the main stat on your curios at the shrine? Like if I have a +2 stamina and want it to go to +3 can I just empower it or do I need to find a curio that specifically gives stamina +3?
I would test it but don't want to potentially waste my diamantine

if u want to focus on dueling side: knife or devil's claw (just pick right type of DC)
if u want to focus on mimicking utility side of dueling sword (aka good no brain anti-horde light attacks and hard hitter single target hold attacks): power maul, crusher maul, hammer
