Is 40+enemy too much?

there are also chaos spawn that I SOMEHOW roll 6. resulting in maximum stat

Hi guys, moving from uprising to malice, any tips on how to handle specials and elites when a horde's on your butt

I think in normal circumstances I'm doing okay but when things are getting hairy with a horde and ragers in your face and a bomber in the wings I kinda get lost

learning to shove, block, and dodge at optimal times.

listen for the whoosh noise to know when to dodge the horde at your back and for the buzz noise/muzzle flash to know when to dodge shooters.

dodging melee and shooters while targeting elites/specials.

it's a lot about game sense that you develop over time. at some point you'll start dodging/blocking/shoving reflexively, which frees your focus up to deal with greater threats

having a crowd control option helps a lot, also. grenades, smite, purge and trauma staff, bull rush, etc,

Take charge. Take the right keystone with Cool-down upgrade + one that upgrades proc rate. Equip a stubber. Start a private game. Charge once, fire the stubber until your cool-down is reset fully, charge again. Done.

You can take cool-down perks on your curio to decrease the likeliness of you being unlucky with BLO procs

From experience tho director feels like it does scale ammo pickups. More noticeable when all 3 out of 4 players dont use guns with ammo. But just wanna get a 2nd opinion

Until you reach level 30, you won't have the best possible chance of seeing high base rating weapons like those with 370+ when purchasing from Brunt's armory. So it's ideal if you wait until then to invest crafting resources like plasteel/diamantine.

Okay question for the "make every shot count" penance, I have done 4 missions now with a shotgun at 16% ammo missing no shots and not shooting at any enemies with carapace or flak armor as I've heard that can count as a miss if no damage is dealt. I am also only using the incindiary shells. I have gone through these missions missing no shots, does each pellet need to hit? and if so is it better to try with a revo or plasma?

I also heard this penance may be bugged currently and unachievable

Downed is different from death, which is what happens when you lose all your wound bars.

It only applies to yourself in regards to what this penance tracks.

Mostly due to audio buffering problems because the servers haven't been restarted in many months.

Audio will cut out, overlap with each other, or not play.

So yes, you'll lose lots of cues.

What does that mean exactly? You have to dodge at a certain time in the targets attack animation? If you dodge too early or too late it doesn't count? But even if that was right, just by the law of averages I still should have completed that penance by now.

Yes. It's not enough for an enemy to just swing at you and not connect.

I believe they all need to be consecutive as well. So if you successfully don't take damage but didn't dodge within the window, it resets

Most attacks will not bleed through if you have full toughness

you really just do the on overwatch penance as veteran. The criteria are basically the same

Play slow and careful with a melee weapon 90% of the time

I'm thinking something with a very fast ability recharge and toughness ability like veterans shout, maybe combined with a high rof ranged weapon like a recon lasgun, or maybe go with the stealth one for the minus threat modifier and hopefully not be too much of a liability.

I'd go with a plasma gun to kill big threats fast. Shout is probably better than stealth. Then you just keep a chainsword or whatever out and focus on making sure poxwalkers don't sneak up behind you

Because I just chrashed three times during a Heresy level raid with friends and the third crash cost us the mission

Temps are fine
Lowering/Raising graphics does not effect crash rate, which is 6-10 times per play session (3-4 hours)
Tried turning off ShadowPlay, doesn't effect crash rate
Cleared local game cache and verified integrity, no issues, doesn't effect crash rate
Turned off all background apps, including Discord, doesn't effect crash rate
MemTest shows no bad memory
Graphical memtest shows no bad memory

Unsure what to do at this point

game is really fun and I can get back into a mission in less than a minute but it's really frustrating when it costs us the mission or I miss out completely on mission rewards

Legion's built in stuff gives you a lot of very direct control over that, so I've seen no swaps. You can usually see it in the task manager when the GPU usage plummets suddenly like it did on my old laptop

If I try everything even down to <6 threads and still see I'll have to look at maybe it's doing that

Cores and threads are different things regarding the processor, with my Ryzen 3600whatever having 6 cores and 12 threads

I get the crash error window from the game

but it's an near immediate CTD. I get one frozen frame for 1-2 secs

then CTD

then error window which i always let compile

then I relaunch. I am back in the game in less than a minute (godbless NVMe drives)

so I'd really love to get some feedback from the devs on this because from what I've read online, Im not the only one whose encountered this problem even all the way back at launch

But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be using your gun

Use it when you want to clear a horde faster or kill an elite from afar

They are also pretty fast (if you have a weapon that makes you go really fast like the knives)

So don't stray too far with your team

what swift certainty does is lets you maintain your sprint state, even at 0 stamina.

its not dodging. What this means is

if you run at a certain perpendicular angle. The game would trigger a sprint-dodging state where bullets wont be able to hit you.
At 0 stamina however you lose this sprint state. Swift Certainty is whats gonna keep you at this sprint state, even at 0 stamina.

When an enemy is knocked down - the next hit they receive brings them back out of stagger animation. So best guess is your charge knocked her down, then your swing reset her stagger state, then she netted you.

Its really not hard at all. Use something with high horde clear like a purgatus staff or flamer and then find a really big horde on high intensity mission and just annihilate them. Ive done the 120 enemies killed in 30 seconds without even trying

You can only change 2 slots on a weapon, so you can roll a perk and a blessing you like and change the rest, roll 2 perks, or roll 2 blessings

3 ways of getting blessings, first is melk, second is emperor's gift weapons and third is upgrading weapons to blue or gold, but the higher a weapon's rating is the better chance you have at getting higher tier blessings

blessings are shared within each weapon family with the exception of psyker force staves

Im not exactly sure on how to answer your first question. But certain weapons do have a good crit, or as it's known more technically as Finesse.

The Headhunter autoguns have a very good Finesse modifier and they pair really well with the available crit boosting Blessings in it's blessing pool.

The Revolver has it's Critical Bonus stat that boost the gun's crit chance. From the lowest to highest Crit Bonus stat, it would give you 5-25% crit chance.

Finesse modifiers on weapons is whats affecting your weak spot, crit and crit weak spot damage

Yea typically people only care about books for contracts and then they will speedrun a sedition or uprising game to finish collecting books in 10-15 minutes

back in january this year when the game had nothing in terms of difficulty, hunting double grims in damnation was a way for players to artifically increase the stakes in a run but now that there is maelstrom and 1 billion conditions no one in higher diffs care about books anymore

Stability is a nice stat to have on certain weapons

On braced autos, it affects spread and moving spread

Mobility affects moving spread too, I think

But on infantry autos I don't think mobility does that

Stability is also mostly useless on the laspistol because it doesn't kick like a mule when firing and suppression isn't bad enough that you'll shake uncontrollably trying to fire back at a gunner

Is it possible to use thumbstick+mouse? My friend has got an one-handed keyboard with an in-built thumbstick for the left hand, but as it currently stands it has a big limitation: the game swaps to controller mode if it detects any sort of a thumbstick control. So he had to remap thumbstick to WASD. Is it possible to use a stick + mouse in any way? Could it maybe be patched in? Or maybe a mod?

the og and the psyker still provide some value via their coherency and auras and being bodybags to soak shots which still happens in auric maelstrom but you should clue your zealot friend into the fact that conflict director buffs in patches 13 14 and 15 has made it so there are anti speedrun measures in place to spawn entire hordes and specialist sandwich squad on both the loner and the main group if they don't move as a unit

Oh, you assumed the run off guy is a Zealot? my bad, hes the Vet. Roleplaying as a Krieger with shovel and Lucius, while me, the Zealot, sticks with the other two.
The thing is, theyre a bunch of asses. As in stubborn as donkeys. Ive tried to clue them in COUNTLESS times over the months, but they refuse to do anything different, and pointing out these are problems and tried helping with fixing the bad habits.
