its fastest flurry of attacks slows its movement down, so those should be avoided by dodging backwards while blocking. its heavier attacks lunge it forwards, so those should be side-dodged or blocked if unavoidable. grab should be outranged.
You dont go into the game its in windows defender - > device secruity -> core isolation - but keep in mind, its one secruity layer you remove, if you have a third party AV you should be fine and you will find a massive boost in overall performance. The reason is, that the system uses virutal based secruity which can in some szenarios give extra secruity on the costs of performance. so states microsoft them self
anybody up for a few rounds of heresy? I need to finish the penance just a flesh wound and need some help
You can try the LFG chats, someone's probably around
Is Momentum (at least 3 enemies hit for toughness) or Confident Strike (chained hit for toughness) considered more preferred?
confident strike by an extremely wide margin
every enemy you hit with confident strike counts as a fresh chained hit
so if you hit say 10, that's 9 chained hits i beleive
i was actually talking about the most absurd combo available with that blessing here just today including with a vid: #zealot-class message
never seen 2 plague ogryn at the same time, is this normal? lol
i got told that there is someone chances for it
i think there is a % behind, but i am not sure, since very rare but it does happen, that we get two spawns, but only when the first boss died the secound boss will pop up
maybe you rushed to far and double triggert them? ;D
they both popped out at the same time
which map is this? is it hab dreyko?
I wanna say yes, scan the bodies then the nurgle tree mission
or rather scan objects
yep, Hab drayko in the entrance to the enforcer area
popular spot for double boss spawns
First time i have seen one so was funny to see
yeah i've had double boss spawns there twice
i think there's a boss spawn trigger on entering the building and one as you go up the stairs.
are critical hits calculated per attack or per hit?
per attack meaning if your melee swing crits it crits on all targets
per hit meaning your swing calculates crit individually for each target
okay good to know, tyty, also just tested to see cuz i didn't expect a response so quick haha
that makes my chainsword roll way better than i'd initially thought, am very happy with it
Shred?
decent crowd clearing on it
100% really fun weapon
am enjoying it a lot...
Do you get weekly conscripts for each character or just one per week?
What do the visual accents at the bottom of missions on this screen indicate? Such as the skull-less, the one with one skull, and the one with multiple skulls.
It means what difficulty you have completed it in
So the one with with 3 skulls means you beaten it in Damnation
I've never played Damnation.
Odd.
Gj Teddy
I'm 99% sure I've never played damnation and this is inaccurate. As I would die.
Well I'm looking at that pic you sent. And it dosent lie, you went through it like a champ

Yknow what
Did you beat an Elite Resistance consignment yard?
They had some odd bug where it gave the wrong amount of rewards, maybe it accidentally gave completion for higher difficulties too
On other maps sure, on consignment yard I don't think so. I heard about this bug
That's the only explanation i can think of
Either that or the quickplay button messed up and put you in a damnation mission that just so happened to go really well
Elite Resistance modifier giving Damnation rewards on all difficulties was my favorite Fatshark Moment
Followed only by Thrust giving 50% power per stack
That is a lot more likely. As I can barely survive, and more often than not lose, on Heresy.
This'll definitely be the cause
This game is kind of a mess atm. This isn't a surprise. I'm in a game now where we loaded in with 4 players and 1 bot. A 5 man team.
REINFORCEMENTS
Still lost though 😦 on heresy.
So how does it come that this game suddenlty stopped working? It keeps on crashing on me, without me having ANY mods or anything - i yesterday i played, today i wanted to login again and the game stopped working like wtf
common i have a 1gbit connection with glass fiber what else do you need :(
that's a common misunderstanding, your ping isn't typically determined by your throughput (ie your max speed)
it might be an isp thing, it might be a router thing, it might even be something weird and esoteric with port forwarding potentially
it definitely could be a client or os thing
try rebooting your router, that's probably an early step i'd take
Yeah I just had to click on reconnect, who knows what in the router was going on😂
If 80% really is the highest roll you can get, how come the Heavy Attack Power stat here is at 165 instead of 175, which appears to be the cap? The Light Attack Power is capped, so this is odd to me.
Oh the light attack power isn't capped either, nvm on that. Regardless, I just wish to understand.
Damage stat is influenced by Penetration / 1st target / crit / cleave as well
Also, when you are looking at the Attack Breakdowns, are those numbers taking into account the damage increases from perks?
They don't tell you this in the game
you can't get to the max stat scaling. all stats go from 0-100
presumably, there will be reds that max out the stats, likely paired with the release of a diff 6
Ok, thanks.
Bought off Melk, what should I change on it? for veteran
So, good news and bad news
Bad news, there aren't good news and the weapon's got a bad everything besides modifiers

You can at least change trauma for rampage and block efficiency for something like infested or flak
But honestly the sword's pretty ass
How bout these?
The left one is nice and changing the carapace to something else is going to be better
The right one has ass perks on both slots and lower finesse than the left one
whatd u recc instead of carapace
Infested is always nice to deal with hordes faster, but flak helps with bruisers and maulers, and maniac helps if you want to melee mutants
Depending on the ranged weapon you'll use, I'd pick between them
Actually I'm not sure which weapons even need to be complemented by flak outside of revolver and shotgun
I personally use infested and flak on a mk4 devil's claw
bet thx
any way to report them?
#feedback-and-reports second link
question about cleave targets/cleave mass, so like a pox walker is 0.75, what amount do you need to hit 2 poxes?
is it 0.76? 1.50?
or like 1.125
a poxwalker has 1 hitmass, though groaners have 0.75 hitmass
ah, my bad, but yeah, same question
to hit 2 groaners, you'll need 0.76 or more cleave
PAIN
I've seen the Psyker and Ogryn guides floating around. Is there one for Zealot? The playstyle isn't clicking with me.
Wild, I go in and get rolled.
Think to slide
Am autistic, what does "Think to slide" mean?
Slide when there are ranged enemies
Oh ok thanks.
Zealot gains i frames during their slides if you have toughness intact
You might see some Zealots in higher level of play perma sliding
it's what I do
80% of my ingame movement is sliding
I rarely ever walk
there isn't one because shouties ate all the crayons they were going to write the guide with.
How does blaze away work on the plasma gun does it count for the charging?
Oh, I've never seen anything like that. I feel like slides lose effectiveness over multiple uses.
Nah you can chain slides infinitely just hold shift and press W every 0.1 seconds, it can look kind of stupid when you see someone going up a set of stairs with their foot in front of them in a pistol squat but once you do it for abit it'll just become muscle memory
You can even do it on the Mourningstar
Guys i've read that the recommended worker threads count is 6 and not higher, but my max is 6, should i still pick it?
It's your Max/2
Wait, so you have to press it every 0.1 seconds?
Just a random question, but does gunner damage resistance also reduce knockback/stun from gunner fire?
Don't know for sure but I'd wager no
Not every 0.1 seconds I guess but like, before the full recovery from sliding into upright position you pre queue the next slide so that it chains slides as soon as your character is able to
sounds like carpal tunnel...
haha
Per shot, counts when you charge
Also doesn't go away when holding the charge because you count as firing
of course it's shouty...
is there a reliable way to farm curios? I have 500 hours and have yet to see any 20% toughness or 25% health drops
I think the limits to those are 17% and 20% respectively
Or maybe health is 21%, but I'm almost sure neither goes that high
guess the community builds they advertise on the launcher is using false data then
I probably misremembered then
I really don't think I saw any going that high, now that you mention it
I wonder if the game's just screwing us
the max is based on what the stat hits at its 100% mark
we can only get to effectively 80% on any stat
so the max is 25-20%, but we can only get 21/17%
I want to know what feats anyone really likes on Zealot. Some have a similar function, so I'm curious about what people enjoy taking and why.
I hate this game
For zealot one of the biggest debates is holy revenant versus thy wrath be swift, since being uninterruptible at any point in time is unimaginably useful, but coming back from the dead is as well
One could see TWBS as a loss, but one (me) can also argue that if the player can play aggressively with psyker and veteran, they can do just fine withour holy revenant
My zealot gameplay improved massively once I started using TWBS
Another one is emperor's executioner and whatever was the other one in its line that gave stacks of damage per melee hit (rising conviction?)
Executioner has a strong case for weapons that you magdump, like braced autos, flamer and bolter, as well as having a generous maximum 15m range
Some weapons, like the heavy sword and combat axe with the appropriate blessings, I consider already more than good enough to hold their own without needing yet another damage stack, so I pick EE for cases like that and use others to complement the melee weapon with rising conviction, like giving thunder hammer slightly less awful horde clear
this is the general zealot build. you can swap column 2 for anything depending on weapon (top for crits, middle for most weapons, and retribution is kinda nice on some weapons like hammer. punishment is generally the best though), and then on column 4 you can swap TWBS for holy rev and maybe rising conviction for emperor's executioner
the only reason to take cooldown reduction on crit is if you're running something like dclaw that just does really poorly so you spam the crits for toughness/extra damage
one thing to note, if you're running hammer, the only way to have any meaningful hordeclear is to have slaughterer, because it gives you 1 shot breakpoints on trash with considerably faster ligh attacks, and retribution
retribution gets up to 20% attack speed, which is basically the biggest horde clear buff you can get. i personally look down upon emperor's executioner users because the god emperor made melee a hell of a lot cooler than shooting and its most of what you should be doing
if this was zealot chat I'd call you names
on something like caxe/hsword i would rate punishment + HR higher. the extra impact + the sustain (easily attained because of how much damage the weapons do) compliments the loadout. for thammer i would run TWBS + retribution because you absolutely cannot play thammer passively (which HR supports) unless you want to get very little done
the extra marty stacks feat looks appealing but 3 stacks + rising conviction vs 6 stacks is 44% damage vs 48%
tbh I replaced HR for TWBS even on the heavy sword loadout because I don't wanna go "oh shit, it was the other loadout" when trying to proc a HR I don't have
i run it because the moment you have to solo clutch HR's utility vs TWBS skyrockets
When I use chain axe, it feels so rare that my attacks hit 3 or more enemies.
Crusher on the other hand, makes punishment feels really good.
chainaxe is... kind of bad, yeah. all the chain weapons suffer from poor performance to varying degrees
but rising conviction is still generally useful. it has the longest timer on a damage buff in the game, and it's an "on hit" condition, so it counts cleaved targets as separate hits
clefd
another thing to note, rising conviction is pretty mandatory on hammer. not for horde clear (you can literally never make it kill more than 2 groaners or a single poxwalker in a swing, it just doesn't happen), but because it changes the amount of thrust stacks you need to kill certain enemies
it isn't the most useful, but in a scenario where you have a lot of stuff going on and you're not able to make sure a swing is fully charged, that 20% damage helps fairly significantly open up the window for a 1 shot
atm I'm pretty much only useing Chain Axe and Crusher cause their funny. But also, what weapon wants Bloodletting? Seems like only weapons with some form of innate crit can really benefit from it. Or maybe some strong blessings.
knife, tac axe, and devils claw/chainsword with a crit build generally do the best with it
thing is none of those are particularly great as far as zealot weapons go
The most annoying part of bloodletting is that dealing too much damage makes it harder to keep up on hordes
You can't make an enemy bleed on crit when they flop to the ground on the first hit, which reduces your ability to get that stack
Not a problem on some weapons, but at the same time the weapons that do make good use of it are inherently kinda eh and the bleed stacks do basically nothing to aid in damage
It's shred but even more finnicky
I feel like for the lvl 10 tree. I gotta take retribution. Doesn't seem like anything else really clicks with Chain Axe.
how do u kill demonhosts
whenever one spawn it like
instakills me
and i can do nothing to it
Thunder hammer, a vet with god-tier aim or a psyker with patience and a shield ogryn
Without these weapons it is best advised to skip the DH encountet entirely
The game always provides one if not multiple ways for you to creep around it
Avoid them and save yourself the ammo and corruption on hp
got turned into a ratling
what's the difference between "rending" and "brittleness" ?
Brittleness affect all damage that is done to the enemy, even allied, while Rending only does to the attack that has it
yeah brittleness is a debuff, so you can play around it for your teammates
it's niche but some people like thunderus for this role, since it's very easy to proc
How is the Ordo Dockets scaled again
Goes up I think 50% with high intensity, doesn't go down with low intensity and also scales the reward from books to the amount of books the players are carrying at the end of the mission
On the mission select screen.. there's wings and arrows below missions, what do those mean?
Some of them have small wings and 3 arrows, others have big wings and a skull. Why? 😐
it indicates the difficulty that you've completed that mission on
three lines w/o a skull is malice, a single skull is heresy, three skulls is damnation iirc
And it's account wide
I didn't know this was possible. I've never seen a single digit percent, but I certainly didn't think it could show up post lvl 30. Damn.
Keep it for posterity
These are funny collector pieces
They suck, definitely, but are so rare it would be a shame to toss them
I wonder what the absolute opposite of a god roll looks like.
however it's weighed those outcomes are muuich rarer than 380s, fwiw
what are the best blessings/perks on curios for zealot
im playing with heavy sword if it matters
Zealot curios want either 3x toughness / 3x HP or 2x toughness 1x HP with gunner resist and sniper resist perks since those 2 enemy types are the most common & disruptive respectively
is sharpshooter realy the only one with any range weapon feats ? i know zealot has 1, but thats it ?
the ogryn anti ogryn feat applies to ranged and is really good
the crit dr feat at level 5 for zel also works with ranged crits, although it's of marginal utility
hm guess i play ogryn next, i realy hope the next career they release have more of a range focus :E
there are a bunch of psyker feats that influences range too, but gunpsyker is considered pretty hard
still popular tho
Yeah it's the ranged class. Psyker is an all-purpose damage class with a lot of +damage buffs built into the class that apply to everything, guns too. Ogryn is about heavy melee attacks, survivability and CC, Zealot is about aggression and proximity to enemies and surviving on the brink of death.
Ogryn has some really strong/fun ranged weapons but the Skullbreaker class doesnt focus on buffing the use of them.
Future Gunlugger subclass definitely will
Is there any benefit to earning all the blessings? Just coming back so a lot of Hadron's stuff has changed or wasn't available when I played last
Just having them available
what are the main differences between the 3 twin Stubber guns ?
Rate of fire and damage per shot
Gorgonum: Heavy
Krourk: Medium
Other: light
You can get 0 % rolls lol
Suggestion - instead of quotes during loading screens insert tips like
"You have grandes"
"Use cover"
"Shoot 40 rifle man grunts burning through your health "
"There is a mic in the game - use it"
hey guys, does the power sword's damage stat refer to pre charge damage or post charge, or both?
the values that you see are for its normal/non-charged heavies and lights
i don't think there's a table of values for activated attacks, at least in-game
for the first target hit in a cleave, special-lights deal 2.5x damage of normal lights, and special-heavies deal 2x damage of normal heavies
interesting, so having a higher damage stat is still important due to the multiplier being based on the base amount, huh
thanks
yeah stats sometimes scale stuff even if it's not listed on the weapon card
this is one of the more intuitive cases, but there's also a case such as the Defence stat scaling the stamina cost of your blocks as well
Hey guys.
So does a charged powerhammer swing stop the charge of the Zealot?
Asking for an Abhor the Mutant friend
It does not
Watch CTW test and millions of other Warhammer 40,000: Darktide videos on Medal, the largest Game Clip Platform.
You can't charge through ogryns tho
Heavy attacks with + power blessings will get you there no problem. Heck with slaughterer and headtaker you can hit 3 with lights.
What is the highest possible modifier roll?
Ok thanks. I was curious about the Base Rating stat.
Is this weapon redundant on a Psyker, when I usually use Trauma Staff and don't have issues with horde clear?
I never play gunpsyker (gunker?) but I still like having good options so I keep the good guns as well
Depending on 2nd blessing and perk you get might be a god roll worth using even on psyker
Maniac + flak to boost its strength and cover the weakest health mod
Then Pinning Fire + Blaze Away to get even more damage & stagger
Also not recommended to use it as horde clear weapon due to no cleave/punch through
Its an elite/special muncher machine
I don't know what guns do, as I've only really played Staff Psyker and Ogryn. So, when a gun has "Torrent" as a descriptor, I assume it clears hordes.
Plus a lot of the guns have very similar names (as do some melee weapons) and that doesn't help either.
Usually it means the weapon spews ammo with 0 damage
They somewhat buffed torrent recon lasgun but its still mid because of shit blessing pool
If you get unlucky with rolls (no blaze away/pinning fire 3+) you'll need to find a donor for PF4 to make it decent
We'll see, I just might like it regardless. It'll depend on how it feels to use. I could even dislike using it even with the best rolls on it.
it's very middling without pinning fire and blaze away. those are completely transformative blessings for the gun. they add up to +150% power, which makes it more than twice as strong as the default weapon.
If I was to surrender a blessing for my sharpshooter would it be avalible on my zealot?
Yes, but only on the weapon type it was surrendered on
Hey everyone. I'm an extreme casual player. Don't understand stats very well. Can someone explain the latest buffs and nerfs in simple terms?
Seems like some range blessing proc more using long bursts (firing firing for solid 3 sec or more) because of it's based off ammo percent now. Want to make sure I understand correctly.
Blaze Away on the shredder autopistol was hit
Now requires 7 shots to reach 1 stack compared to 6 shots from before
For a total of 35 shots to reach 5 stacks versus 30 shots from before
It's a very insignificant nerf since the accompanying blessing on shredder which is Pinning Fire heavily overcompensates by providing up to 100% power at tier 4
NAMING MOD???
also best sex position lol
crazy how the heavy sword can double up on damage perks and eliminate need for cleave cause they dead and it has a fast swing 💅
thanks for the info. any difference with other range weapons or its so little like the shredder its not worth mentioning?
From the Consignment Yard map, I discovered this. Most of the time once you "drop down" you can't get back up. Thought it was the same for this area but you can if you climb onto this.
which is better?
i know the rating system but sometimes i feel like a lower rating might go better than one 10 points higher
psword is better here
for my penance it says i need to complete mission types on heresy threat or higher, it says 6/7 done but idk how to tell which one to do
It’s most likely either repair or investigation, as those are the only ones with only one mission tied to them
Maybe espionage has only one mission tied to it but not 100% sure
On the mission board, you can which difficulty you've completed.
Of course not all missions and type are up at any given point.
There might be other penances tied to the one you're working on. If that's the case, you can scroll down and it might have more info.
I have a question on Worker threads, what should I set it to? Some people say to set it as your physical core number and some say leave it at default -1. So I was wondering which is best.
Is there a sort of "compendium" of possible perks and their possible rarity's? I want to know if the perk/rarity combo I am rolling for is even possible.
Name it
I am the compendium
17,000 hours in Darktide
If it's deflector it only comes at T2
Oh, the specific one I was curious about showed up so don't worry about that.
Woo !
How is the gear diffrent in this game in comparison to vermintide 2?
You're gonna have to be more specific
As in
How are u supposed to min max gear in this game?
ive heard people say you wanna get gear with high power
thats green or white
then upgrade them into max rarity
honestly the rarity level of the gear doesn't matter since as you upgrade it will go through white > green > blue > purple and then gold anyways, what you want is a high base rating out of 380 with modifiers in good spots to begin with
Which will differ from weapon to weapon
what is the maximum rating and modifier?
each stat modifier can have 80 at most
oh huh new reddit completely destroys the indentation
I am playing since days with this character how is it possible?
you have to check in with milk once to roll your contracts before they start being counted
fml
Or use the better melk mod
oh wtf, I didn't know that.
Kinda wack, but gotta check in with him first 😭
We all make that mistake
Would be nice, if it's automatic
Rather then just speaking to melk everytime
We still don't have read weapons.
There are two perks (properties in VT2) and blessings (traits in VT2) on an orange weapon.
Some blessings are specific to tier and might be your best in slot of that weapon in general or build specific. T2 blessing could be the best choice but end up having a lower rating. So max 550 is not necessarily the better something with a lower rating.
Yeah sorry I replied to the wrong thing.
so can u reroll the properties and the blessings?
like in vermintide?
Also what does the tier of blessing have to do with anything?
are some blessings just more difficult to get than others?
Sort of. Not as bad as the first vermintide. RNG is an ass in dartide but is not the worst thing ever.
You roll rarity in hopes of getting what you want at a quality of what you want. You get 2 perks and blessing on and orange. You change 1 perk that locks the other perk in. Same for blessing.
Blessing rarity is worth more points and generally gives bigger bonuses. T4 are harder to acquire.
What about a weapon's rating?
It doesn't have the same impact like in VT2. It's not directly influence power and damage. I am not sure of the full influence of it in darktide TBH.
weapon's rating has to do with its stat distribution, stat distribution can be significant depending on your weapon and any specific breakpoints you want to hit
One example is the flamer, which will reach max possible burn stacks at >76 (out of 80)
which makes burn 76 or above critical to get on flamer
Another is the bolter's collateral modifier which will reliably open up a bulwark's shield in 1 shot at >69
and opening bulwark shields quickly becomes very important in higher difficulties
Hence you'd also want >69 for collateral on bolter
Those are just 2 minor examples, there are lots of breakpoints and little weapon quirks that will be better explained if you ask about a specific weapon
Right. That.
Specifically and only overall weapon rating, not stats, is I was talking about for context.
So im maining veteran atm and it seems to me that the only 2 guns that are good are the automatic lasgun and the boltrifle
what would be the best build for an automatic lasgun dps build?
is there a specific stat distribution i should be looking to hit for my weapon?
Are you level 30 yet
By automatic lasgun do you nean the laser recon lasgun
It's definitely a fun weapon to use and you're entitled to enjoy the game however you like but you'll catch flak for it if you bring it into higher difficulties because recon above Heresy is hot garbage
Bolter is fine at all levels of play
no im only 23 atm
huh i thought it was the best gun
what weapon should i use then?
i hate the guns that shoot regular bullets
their accuracy is dogshit
As a Vet either the Kantrael (Heavier one), the Bolter, the Plasma gun or the Lucius Lasgun (Heavier or medium).
Can also run with most of the shotguns but they mean changing builds
What exactly happens when an enemy is suppressed?
I'm assuming it;s different from stagger.
Somewhat of the same iirc, just that it can happen without it being hit
I was looking to replace one of these, and I wasn't sure which one I should get rid of.
Definitely replace Raking Fire
it's such a terrible blessing because it's too conditional and you'll have to deliberately position yourself to proc it for that tiny bit of extra damage, terrifying barrage has much more utility
i beleive: the enemy has some kind of suppression value that puts them in the suppression state when exceeded. melee enemies can't be suppressed. ranged enemies will first lose their targeting then perform one of a few actions including running into cover, away and a sort of cowering animation. they won't start aiming again until their suppression is over
you can test this with the flamer in the psykanium which has one of the biggest suppression cones in the game
Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure if supression did anything to melee enemies.
Anyone know if or where you can rebind the yes and no options for vote kicking?
Not seeing it in keybindings.
Does the piercing through enemies using the revolver limited?
ye it has 6 cleave (6 poxwalkers/8 groaners/etc.)
wow thats a lot more than i expected thx for the info 😄
Is it possible for a blue weapon to roll a Tier 4 blessing?
yes
that's how i chase all my t4 blessings
although some people swear by taking to gold, it's like between 3x and 4x more plasteel expensive
i still think there's some correlation between roll outcomes and itemlevel
i often find that the plasteel cost to upgrade to blue is significantly less than the amount of dockets it takes to roll a good base when considered on a per match basis, so i'd usually be fine with taking something up to gold if the base is good enough and upgrading it to blue with a decent perk/blessing.
Ok thanks, I don't remember if I've ever seen it before. I've only seen Tier 3 and even that is moderately rare.
When sprinting, is it faster to sprint while your stamina is at 0% or to walk and wait for your stamina to replenish?
that depends on a few factors:
- The sprint bonus from the weapon you're currently holding
- Base sprint cost of the weapon you're currently holding
- Sprint Efficiency
- Max Stamina
- Stamina Regen
- Stamina Regen Delay (depends on class)
The greater that your sprint speed, sprint eff, and stamina regen are, the more likely that it's better for you to do a sprint/walk cycle; and the lower your stamina regen delay is, the more like that it's better for you to do a sprint/walk cycle.
you'll sort of have to plug those things into a calculator of sorts and calculate it per class/weapon/curio configuration
There's also the fact that you can slide which can throw in a bit of complexity
How good is the tac axe, is there a build I want to go for on it for zealot?
Or vet
I didn't think it was going to be that complicated.
yeah just from setting up the calculations, it does seem to teeter on the center of things
with +0.26 sprint speed from my force sword, no sprint eff/stam regen, 0.5s stamina regen delay as a psyker, etc., I think it was better for me to just run at 0 stamina but not by much more
for reference, your walking speed is 4 m/s, and your default sprint speed is 5 m/s. and you just add whatever sprint bonus on top of that
this is what my calculator ended up looking like
where V_sprintwalkcycle and V_nostaminaspeed are the functions that we care about at the end
Honestly just sprint all the time
What the fuck actual mathematics in my gameplay channel

what're the recommended blessings for the cadian chainsword?
Rampage + Savage Sweep for the classic BiS combi
Bloodletter + Bloodthisty / Rev It Up for the memes
awesome! i rolled one with bloodthirsty on my zealot. i take it it's good for the crit build?
It's as good as it's gonna get if Chainweapons are what you enjoy
the lack of access to power blessings such as Headtaker and Slaughterer or Decimator makes all chainweapons milquetoast in higher difficulties
Coincidentally all the weapons that do get access to those blessings are Zealot's BiS options but if you don't care about minmaxxing and can play in semi competent groups then you can honestly draft whatever and it'll work out ok
honestly now that you mention it; i probably ought to go for more meme builds like your 2nd suggestion fo the chainsword. any suggestions for the crusher?
Honestly, barely
It's ironically one of the worst things to have to stack crit on most enemies because most enemies just die horribly
And, like, if you kill a target with an attack that causes bleed, they actually don't count
You need to bleed a target and then hit it again, which also means combat axes get a bit of a reduced benefit due to attacking slower than tactical axes an often killing the first target in the swing
Although I might be wrong about bloodletter and it counts on the second tick of the bleed rev or something
It's not something I'd want with the eviscerator anyway because being interrupted during the heavy swings annoys me
Any recs for good crowd control guns on zealout? Both of my main weapons are single target and I wanna change how I play that
Kantrael Shotgun and Flamethrower both controls and suppresses hordes pretty well
Or Brauto
Also for the Shotgun I'd lean toward the Agriipna if you want to be more mixed
which one?
The heavier one, not sure which it is
Agripinaa
test
is my discord dying
hello
sorry, everything on my screen was red for a sec
but yes, the agripinaa, usually we just call it the brauto
the graia and columnus models are functionally SMGs with their super fast ROF but they lack access to high powered power blessings so their SMG niche is already overtaken by the shredder autopistol (which has access to Pinning Fire and Blaze Away)
I hope those 2 models get some buffs in the future because they are still really fun but does milquetoast damage in heresy+
autopistol is a lot of fun, I should never have scrapped mine
that's fine you can just gamble away your ordos at Brunts till you get a high rated one and continue farming blessings for it from there
all my characters are broke atm cause I've been levelling all of them and trying to get the hang of what builds I enjoy lmao
But I will do so
probably on multiple characters, I want a better staff too
I think it's good imo that you have multiple characters levelled up at the same time because you can take advantage of blessings unlocked being accountwide
since there is a disgusting trend of the best guns going on the melks shop for Psykers
where they are worthless
ye 4 30's gang
so you can extract high tiered blessings and utilize it on your zealot or vet who has actual use for a gun
I had absolutely no idea that blessing unlocks were account wide.
Still are weapon restricted
How much total health can a medipac restore before it runs out?
It heals up to 500 HP and lasts for 5 minutes. If it has done either of the 2, it shuts down.
Is there a guide somewhere or video to help with improving at melee combat? I've seen people get praise for their melee skills and I would like to know what I should be doing in order to be worthy of such praise. Even if a video guide of sorts doesn't exist or isn't sufficient, I will gladly watch a replay of a mission that you believe you had great melee combat.
Dodge spam is the way
dodge slide even more so
but mostly time your dodges so you can just keep whaling on enemies without the need for blocks
dodge-sliding can make you fairly vulnerable if you're not full toughness and aren't a class with DR on slides (and dodge-slides counting twice)
nice if I'm diving a ranged patrol though
and remember to push whenever there's too many enemies close by and their attacks aren't timed well to 'reset' their tempo so to speak
Dunno if this is helpful but this at least felt efficient
Also, I'd like to add that it is also useful to know what your weapon of choice is capable of, so don't forget to check its combos and attack types.
Wide swings are good to deal with a horde or multiple enemies, while single-targeted strikes can be more precise and deal more damage to the selected target
Getting hit hurts and ultimately is the greatest barrier of entry for players stuck on Malice from moving into Heresy and Damnation difficulties. Other than queue times, I have no IDEA when damnation players log on. This took shape as a Zealot video, but there are a ton of fundamentals in here that can be strong take aways for any class, so if y...
@scenic field I learned quite a bit from this video as far as melee combat goes and the finer details that are often missed
Some of the info might be dated already, but many of the mechanical advice is still useful
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.
- don't take unnecessary damage. when you hear the "woosh" of an incoming melee attack, block or dodge. your block is 360 degrees around you.
- learn the attack patterns of enemies. you can play aggressive, but safe, if you know exactly what melee attacks your opponents can do and how they telegraph them with their windup animations. you only need to block or dodge an attack at the last moment to avoid taking damage.
- stamina management. dont sprint into melee battle all the time, you need stamina for blocking and pushing. learn to weave pushes into your melee chains if needed to control hordes.
- learn your own attack combos. utilize the correct melee attack your weapon has at its disposal against the right enemy. many melee weapon specials can interrupt ragers, for example, giving you an opening to gain some distance and space properly against their own attacks. learn them, remember to use them.
- move. dont back yourself into a corner unless you have to. remember muhammed ali's words: dance like a butterfly. you can force enemies like poxwalkers to stop attacking and spend time walking up to you instead by circling the horde as you fight them, or moving in an arc like a pendulum from one spot to another. you can trap a plague ogryn into looping the same overhead slam by circling it closely, dodging the slam simply by moving too fast for it to keep up. experiment, see what movement can do.
Weapons with nice cleave also have a nice amount of enemies to stagger, specially given most weapons have a power blessing at their disposal somehow. Even if the damage is capped, the stagger isn't and you'll find yourself being able to just attack on weapons like the illisi and mk9 heavy sword instead of relying on pushes all the time like the dueling swords
If you can nail the loop of attacking, pushing and dodging (along with Darktide's introduction of dodge/sprint slides), you're gonna get really far into melee combat
Do keep in mind that the vet has the worst stamina regen delay, so pushing and dodging often is less feasible and they'll need weapons with good cleave more than the zealot and psyker, which have the middle and fastest regen delay respectively (which, to my memory, isn't affected by stamina regen from curios)
yeah most of my advice goes out the window once you have a high cleave melee weapon with a t4 power blessing on it. then you can just bruteforce the issue.
or a combat axe with brutal momentum.
dw about that, I've never played Vet a day in my life, but have all other classes at 30.
based
If you ever play Veteran, do not let me see you with a Bolter
When you instead could use the old reliable heavy lasgun
yes you should be having a braced autogun
I don't even know what a Bolter is
But really thanks for all the info.
3 characters at 30 already!!
you lil grinder
I remember your post on reddit that you just got Darktide like it was yesterday
Memes aside the heavy lasgun can one-shot almost every special with a headshot and take care of bigger targets in no time if you mod it right
tch tch
Ye, I've been playing quite a lot. But I did level Ogryn and Psyker simultaneously.
I know it is not as effective as other weapons, especially lasguns but.. where else can I play with a Bolter FPV.. With such good sound design and animations 😢
I wish Fire Warrior had a fine remake btw
Boltgun
I take it you suffer of Bolter Syndrome
I kinda like boomer-shooters but it's quite a different experience
Bolter aren't really bad, just need to play differently than with the other weapons
Lasguns fit well to the role of someone who clears the area of Gunners, Riflemen, and other nasty ranged enemies..
While Bolter's specialty is killing tougher enemies. But this job is done well by Zealots and Psykers
I usually play as Zealot, i consider the Bolter to be a good CC tool alongside the Flamer
As Zealot you will rarely see me without the Crucis Thunderhammer
Is it good with hordes ? No
But it will bring down the toughest heretics in a fully charged powered swing
It's actually pretty good with hordes if you have both thrust and slaughterer at tier 3 or higher, you generate so much cleave / stagger with the power you receive
if you run Punishment for bonus impact from the lvl 10 feats it will hordeclear even better
Not heavysword tiers of horde deletion but comfortable still on higher difficulties
I actually have that exact setup, however Headtaker seems interesting
Crucis it the 1st one no ?
Yes
The Ironhelm one seems to be designed for hordes but i don't vibe with it
I'm a headtaker fan on thammer myself because power on hit albeit lower is more attractive to me than power on kill which could potentially give more but is less consistent, still the BiS setup is Thrust / Slaughterer for overall optimal bossnuke damage
The ironhelm does everything the crucis can do worse with 60% of the damage
it was made to address a problem the thammer doesn't have- lack of cleave- when two of thammer's bis blessings add cleave already
Totally, I managed to kill a boss in 3-5 seconds
Zealot also desire Punishment via lvl 10 feats to add even more cleave so ironhelm is just in this weird spot where it doesn't nuke bosses well or elites well or hordeclear well but has a novel moveset, you can still play it if you enjoy its movement specifically
It's thanks to the Crucis that I completed the holy revenant penance due to the crazy damage
ironhelm is not designed for hordes, or cleave
its designed for letting your swing pass through lesser enemies until you strike the elite in the middle of the horde that you want to kill
at the expense of damage (about 25% less than Crucis iirc)
It sounds pretty situational though
you gain ease of use and trade some breakpoints and maximum bonkage.
I used an ironhelm for a while and it actually comes in handy a lot on hi-intensity
but you can compensate for it on the crucis by jumping and aiming your swing right
ironhelm is definitely easier though. dont have to think about any that. just charge and swing. poxwalker in the way? doesnt matter.
I have barely used it so I should give it another go
I've seen a zealot who two-hitted a DH on Malice.. Couldn't do this with any build
If i want to powerhit a special or elite in a horde I usually use a light attack as they are strike downs
You need the right perks and blessings
That was a bug with the Thrust blessing no ? Not possible anymore
Yeah, I believe it was.. Really sad though
you give up a massive amount of damage by doing that
This is why there is a second hammer that can ignore some non-elite enemies
But I prefer using the Crucis, I'll use the special on a light mop up the rest of the trash and then heavy the Elite if still needed
Malice monstrosity can still be 1shot without the bug because they only have 16k HP
But you're gonna need T IV ST IV 25 Unyielding and 5 stacks of Rising Conviction
Damnation Monstrosities (32 to 52k HP) will still require 3 to 6 hits with the above setup, Psyker Cerebral laceration or Ogryn class passive can heavily help with this for their 25/10% bonus dmg respectively
40k HP T5 Plogryn Thrust IV 3stacks Rising Conviction no headtaker no slaughterer
This is the kind of gameplay that gives me a intense rush of dopamine
Zealot is cool
that final headshot
does DT have the same bonus on overhead strikes as in VT
idk if it's the same, but overhead attacks generally do more first target damage than sweeps. you can inspect your weapon's attacks in the attack breakdown (hit tab when inspecting your weapon) to see what the damage profile for each attack is.
And usually the head is a weak point on most enemies (Exception being the BoN and the Mauler in a certain sense)

Years of playing PAYDAY 2 was helpful to aim for heads
So what to do when i finished all Achivments and have all chars at max level? I just cant see any endgame or do i miss smth?
Play for fun
I am going to hang myself up when I finish all achievements
Meme builds. Playing for fun.
Taking a break from the game and playing something else too.
Yeah but i recently found that all the new games and AAA games are basically trash xD i dont know what to game anymore
Maybe its a call for my fitness studio
Anything you haven't played in awhile? Could dive back into some classics.
Baldur's Gate 3 is on its way 👀
Pretty sure that's still possible, just not as easy. Need thrust IV, 25% unyielding, and the feat that gives you two charges. Two fully-charged specials should do it, or at least shave off the vast majority of health.
I've seen it happen post-thrustfix
Got my self total war 3
Hope its good
lol
Dont know Baldurs Gate, what is it?
DnD game, crpg
CRPG in DnD universe. BG3 is made by Larian Studios, they also made Divinity: Original Sin II which was one of the best RPGs I've ever played
The hype train is coming. I believe you'll hear about it more often on the release week
i played DOS2
it was okayish
anyone got a free space in their team for me to join?
check #vox-lfg-emea or #vox-lfg-nasa or #vox-lfg-apac
depending on your region
uk
#vox-lfg-emea then
I haven’t played in many months is there now an easier way to get Requisitorium Coins besides the annoying contracts
well no but the contracts are simplified
Ah easy
There are more contract types, the ones that existed before are easier and you can now infinitely reroll contracts to get the ones you want (assuming you have enough money)
With the right set of them, you can probably do them all in a few hours on a character.
can someone help me my game is stuck in small size
idk how to fullscreen it cus the game doesnt have the normal x, minimize, and square option on the top right
alt + enter is the shortcut for switching between fullscreen and windowed
you should also be able to set it in your options
a low resolution?
Hi, complete noob here, is it better to buy directly a legendary weapon or a scrap one and upgrade it to legendary?
Big checklist to go through as far as weapons upgrading and purchases are concerned but here are the basic steps
You get a weapon of any rarity from The Hour Shop / Melks' Dailies / Emperor's Gifts / Brunt's Armory
- Is the base rating good (>360) with rolls in the desired modifiers and acceptable dumpstats, if Yes, 2, if no scrap it or sacrifice it to Hadron's for blessings if one of the available blessings on it is T3 or higher which you don't have
- Is the first perk good, if Yes, 3
- Is the first blessing good, if Yes, 4, if no 1
- Is the second perk good, if Yes, 5
- Is the second blessing good, if Yes you have a perfect weapon with high base rating good rolls good perks and both blessings are good and now you can choose to refine or reroll 1 out of the 2 perks and blessings to finetune your weapon even further, if no 1
At any point during the process if you run into 1 bad perk or 1 bad blessing you should just sell it for the money or sacrifice it to Hadron to permanently unlock that shit blessing and add it to your bank, but honestly you could still just sell it even then if you don't care about collecting all blessings
recently come back to darktide and since crossplay has been a thing i'm struggling with lag... even with VPN
I just grabbed a Bolter from Melk that I suspect is pretty good, but I'm just recently getting into higher difficulties. Is this where I'd post it to get some advice?
Yes, send the bolter, let's see it
It's really good, the ideal perks you want on Bolter are Unyielding / Carapace / Flak / Maniac [in that order] and you got 25 Cara so just reroll 8 Spec to 25 Unyielding and you got perfect perks
Blessings on Bolter want Shattering and Pinning Fire IV
Try to find Shattering III at minimum to put on this bolter and you're great to go
Damage rolls being mildly low is more than made up for by double IV perks and PF IV giving 100% power at 5stacks
Ok cool. Yeah I know pinning fire is the way to go - maybe too good right now. But I don't know a lot about the best blessings because I'm not even sure what all the combinations are. I think I'm probably pretty lucky to snag this so early on.
Shattering Impact and Pinning Fire are your golden ticket
Just got my vet to 30, and know naught of their weapons, does this boy spark joy? Or wrong gun entirely?
Yesn't
The perks are great, but speedload and punishing salvo are meh on recons
Well, the flak perk being at tier 4 allowing you to pick any tier 4 perk is great
Yeah, I swapped it up to maniac
How to complete 120 kills in 30 seconds? Where I can find so many hordes? Is it hast to be damnation with some hi-intensity?
think heresy on hi-intensity was enough for me, find a good bottleneck and let it rip with a flamer
Thank you. Good to know. Those high intensity modifier occur not so often
damnation on it's own should work too if no modifiers are available
just did with flamer on damnation with high intensity )
I hope fatshark will add new challenges in the near future, because 250 missions of every type its just boring grind
so i have cleared Hi5 STG quite frequently (fav modifier). tonight was running 2 maps on just Hi5, and both groups were running incredibly slowly. is that the proper approach for Hi5? since my understanding is the longer you linger, the more likely you are going to run out of resources
What was the team composition
because the maths will rapidly change with the presence of a Vet
having a single Vet on the team on HISHOCK will let teams come out of engagements with net positive ammo gain
You gain more resources the more tactical and slow you take it
more maniacs dead, more ammo, more nades
without a vet, yea, go quick
only 1 or no vet for those maps i think, also just on hi-intensity
i have no issue clearing STG, but maybe jsut bad luck for these 2 hi-intensity maps tonight
im just not sure why some teammates insist on going incredibly slow
That's probably it, some days people are off, otherwise usually you can feel that forward momentum in most teams in 5+
could be inexperienced, could be high 😆
ye mayhaps, just curious if that's the strat people use on Hi5 these days
'kill everything'
Oh and, don't shoot bursters that teammates are moving to push [high level strat super OP]
I was in a game with 3 Vets where none of them shot the burster I pinged that was mine
that's like, winning the lottery
because even a single vet in most games can't resist
Da goats
burster experience has been pretty good honestly, almost no one will shoot them if someone's close by
My teammates will specifically shoot them if I'm close by
wish there were more vets in my games, getting mostly big mans and zealots (including me)
i think people have a bit more movement in their step in Hi int stgs since you can often get staggered hard by stg waves that continuously spawn. tbh there's nothing wrong with taking a metred approach or backing off and using the free space behind you to deal with things. I can't tell you how many times I've had matches thrown or made infinitely harder because one or two players refuse to stop pressing W, even when up against some crazy enemy compositions. As weird as it sounds, you have an infinite resource in the form of a melee weapon, so you should eventually be able to deal with everything in your path, even if you are moving a little slow.
tbh a lot of this mentality would be remedied if there was a proper solo mode
interesting, will keep that in mind. i think both times we wiped because one person slightly pushed thinking they have their team to back them up, but the rest were simply hiding behind cover so they died; when everyone end up out/low on ammo to deal with multiple snipers, everyone ended up being out of position
i guess what i wanted to say is, when people are out/low on ammo at a drop, pushing is really the only thing you can do (zealot especially); and i was having the expectation that if they are not providing covering fire, at least they will maintain a bit of forward momentum
I love watching ur clips, they're beyond the level of graphic settings i can achieve and i'm not even mentioning how smooth it all runs

Vewy pwetty

Thank you sibling
ambient occlusion
I had one vet telling my his bullets were pushing the burster. After I ran to push it. Insta blocked that asshole.
Depending on the gun they can, but it's a bit ugh
It was a vraks3. And it was a camo vet too. So...
And tbh he saw me running and fired just before I pushed. And never said sorry of course.
Does completing side objectives increase quality of Emperor's Gifts? Does Damnation give better gifts?
Damnation gives slightly better gifts guranteed legendaries for the most part, side obj give more money/exp
Cheers! And is there a max of 20 gifts per week?
not sure honestly
Geeze I was counting on you. I want my money back
easiest money I ever made
No
eh i did not and my steam is secured by a 30 letters password and 2FA/Steamguard? Lol
why does the daemonhost go after someone that didn't even do 1 fucking point of damage to it?
She kills 2 people before going away
I know, I didn't damage and was nowhere near it
there were 2 others it could have gone for that were right next to it
Second one is random
Atleast to my experience
It just minecraft tp's to you and starts swinging that netherite sword
what is this symbol?
People who are in a strike team usually
No, you get one after each mission now
Thanks 👍🏻
Hey if I have a blue/purple item and I swap out the blessing. Then when I upgrade to yellow, is that swapped blessing locked in?
no but the new one is
yeah, hence it's often better to change blessings once you've got both so you can choose which one to keep
I've made this mistake in the beginning...
Yeah dont do that, particularly if the first one is bad, because thats one removed from the pool that you now cant roll, thusly increasing your chances of a better one on the next roll
Sadly, gaming the numbers is something we have to do because of the RNG
I just got to 30, and i assume the gear grind begins from here. What do I do?
i assume i roll for lvl 4 blessings with upgrading profane weapons from vendor with plasteel/dia
Higher difficulties will have more crafting mats and better rewards. Doing T5 is a way of hunting T4 blessings.
It's not that costly to take gear from green to blue to hunt for blessings, but it's a lower chance to get T4 blessings on blues.
It is very costly to level things all of the way to orange tho, but leveling to orange also has a higher chance at getting T4 blessings.
Melk can have weapons with T4 blessings, but it's not advisable to spend tho weekly coins just for T4 blessings (unless you really want to).
You can gamble for high base rolled stats from the vender too.
And sometimes the Vendor will have greys and blues with decently high base stats
Sometimes trash turns into treasure. I wouldn't bank on that happening, but it happens.
Generally, if a blue that you plan on rolling to use has a shit perk and blessing, you stop upgrading.
Whats the best way to use Melk?
As you are building up your gear and can just afford one thing, waiting for something "good" is the way to go.
Is it a weapon type you want?
Are the base stats good?
Does it have at least 1 desirable perk and blessing?
Will it be an upgrade?
If those questions are yes, then it's worth buying. Think of the melk shop as instant gratification.
You don't need the best stats and blessing to have a decent weapon that gets you to a point where you can just play the game.
Of course as you acquire better stuff, min/maxing often takes the spotlight.
If you already have a weapon that you really like, but you are missing a specific blessing and you see it in the melk shop, that's a case in which I'd grab the melk weapon for the T4 blessing.
But also, it's not that deep. If you want to buy a thing and have the melk points, go for it.
Thanks, yeah I don't play much so melk points are scarce
If you see power cycler 4 on a power sword buy it ,you may not see it again for a long time.
What's a metric to determine whether stats are good? I am managing to clear damnation (t5?) in pugs but as psyker, i guess the force staff drop rate is a bit cooked since its mixed in with all the other ranged guns. I have been just doing as you said, upgrading the vendor stuff to orange
Yeah, staff have to compete with all of the other weapon drops.
If you're leveling a weapon to use, the base stats and at least 1 perk and 1 blessing should be good. After that, you can swap out the worse perk and blessing for something better.
#psyker-class Has recommendations scattered through out it. Base stats kinda vary from staff to staff. Quell speed is generally the dump stat. I recommend the search feature because there are nuanced pieces of info. There is a breakpoint calculator. I haven't used it tho.
Breakpoint calculator
#psyker-class message
You can also ask about specific weapons. A few people might pull up charts and throw math at you.
Oh cool thank you
Anyone got plasteel rate for difficulty?
Dunno but pick Low Intensity and Scriptures, encorages your teammates to help looting
i don't have the sedition values but here
What is a flash mission ?
Nothing atm
Not added to the game yet
are blessings unlocked permanently? or consumed when you rebless
Permanent, account wide but weapon restricted
Does low intensity modifier affect item reward?
No only difficulty
Modifiers do impact the Emperors gift. But no idea how that one interact with it
String of purples when doing low intensity
any help I could get with the private penances? I have the brain blast for a boss, the 40 meters as the ogyrn, and the speedrun challenge for the zealot
I have no idea how to beat Zealot's one
Brain blast seems easy if you have an ogryn with a shield
think it's going as fast as possible, while having one down used up, so you have less than a wound's health
I know what the description says, I don't know how to beat it.. Every run I had took more time than intended
assassinations are pretty quick if you go fast enough
my problem is I got nobody to do private with, haha
#vox-lfg-lexicanum is often quite fast for penance dealing, also asking the class channels would net you better responses
Hey folks, new player here. Where can I find a youtube video that shows the audio clues in the game, for things such as grimoires and scriptures?
No audio cue for grims, only a visual indicator via faint green glow
Scripture emits a soft hissing sound when you are in its vicinity, no visual indicator for it
Gotcha, was in a game and someone mentioned there was an audio cue for scrips, figured it was the same for grims. Wasn't sure what to listen for lol, so I;ve just been running around randomly in scrip missions
Yea that's fine, there are a set number of locations for grims and scrips but you aren't expected to memorize 'em as a new player and even if you do it can sometimes be hit and miss
Cheers, thanks
Grims have a pulse but it's only audible when you're within a few metres.
nvm, it seems to be fixed
hey, there are complete guides for scripture and grimoire locations on Steam:
grimoires (guide by me): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2945246285
scriptures (guide by kuli): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2918149936
Does anyone for the love of god know how to connect make a controller work in-game?
Neither my dualsense or series controller work
Yet everything online says the game supports both somewhat
I play on steam and have my controller added threw there. I use mouse and keyboard, but my game (including visual inputs) change to whatever I'm using.
Gamepass or steam ?
steam
mine doesn't :/
I've only seen xbox controller as the accepted input by default, sooo. I think you'd need xinput for a PS controller
oh wait, there's a PS4 controller in the code here, hmm.
Have you gone into steam settings and fiddled with the controller settings there? Every time I've had an issue, identifying/ testing / calibrating has cleared up the issue.
That's also for a controller that I know has worked previously.
Maybe a driver is needed? Or installing layout?
I know steam changed their setting interface and big picture a bit ago. Maybe that caused an issue.
Don't know about that, but other games like r6s, deadspace, etc. work just fine, it's only darktide.
Might be a moot point but make sure you plug in the controller before launching the game, some (most) games won't register a controller if it's not plugged in when it's launched
Then idk 🙁
I've tried it with a USB cable but no dice either
do you guys know how to post something on the technical help forum?
Sure. Where are you stuck ?
Read the previous text
But where are you stuck in the forum
I don't know how to work it, put simply, I don't go on forums and have no idea what I'm doing.
The forum site is this one: https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/latest
You'll need to make an account though.
When this is done you need to click on New topic (Image 1)
After that simply chose the correct category, here it would be Bugs (Image 2), this will already write a form to write in your bug (Image 3)
Hope this can help
Is there like, a guide on how to fight the chaos spawn? From what I seen, it just bee-lines to people and DPSes really fast. There doesn't seem like there's any sort of method to stop it or avoid it save for just DPSing it down real fast.
Dodge away from it if it is locked onto you while teammates magdump it, magdump it if it is chasing someone else
Cspawn is very hard to melee because its grab is a 360° one
Once you enter melee combat it is incredibly difficult to not get munched on
You can overcome its frenzy melee nature with extreme range (Psyker brainburst) or extreme burst damage (Zealot thunderhammer) but otherwise do what I said above for consistently dealing with it
Yeah I've never seen how to dodge it.
It just sticks to me and my buds no matter what
The video here shows when you have to block and when opening are. #psyker-class message
When it grabs a player, you can get close to it to force it to slam the grabbed player and throw them. Be wary of ledges and block it.
When it's charging forward, you have to block. The bigger and slower single arm downwards strike an be dodged. The grab can also be dodged.
If you haven't already, I recommend getting the creature spawner and fighting the chaos spawn in the meat grinder.
I think it might just be like the chaos spawn in VT2, where you have to dodge against the grab or backwards
Dodging to the left was an instant grab in VT2 as well
Tysm
I've seen people dodge left and avoid the grab in DT. I haven't been able to do it that way tho.
Max weapons/higher level weapons often have higher mobility on them, but I found a lot of success against a chaos spawn by dodging back while "tanking" them
For the Boltgun what blessings and perks should I be looking for
Unyielding + Flak / Maniac for Perks
pinning fire + shattering impact for blessings
Perks are negotiable, you can even go for unarmored (not recommended)
blessings are not, those are the only 2 good Bolter blessings
everything else are terrible, bolter is not a crit weapon
depends if its vet or zealot, zealot doesnt need shattering impact and instead can take gloryhunter
Easiest is using a long range dodge weapon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dD1qfkOhPc
Works better on zealot/psyker.
is there a limit to per-game progress on the "kill X with Y" melk contracts?
No
For Psyker, what constitutes as Elite enemies to kill when I self-delete myself with a overloaded pop
Elites:
- Crushers/Bulwarks/Reapers
- Scab/Dreg Gunners
- Scab/Dreg Shotgunners
- Scab/Dreg Ragers
- Scab Maulers
that penance might be one of the few places where "elites" actually refers to only elites and not including specialists
Nah you fucked yourself there by backing into a corner
Is it normal for the penance Warp Battery to not pop? Ive been playing on Malice only and i know ive been keeping my 4 charges of Warp for far longer than 300 seconds
For the psyker redacted penance Going out with a Bang, what is the best way of getting it
You'll get more info if you ask these in #psyker-class chat.
Throneside Comm Plex, in the area where you have to wait for the elevator, you have groups of Shotgunners that appear during the wave, have a Vet or 2 that can highlight them so you know when they arrive and then sprint to them while accruing peril
Does anyone have screenshots of what has come into commodores shop today?
I have no Internet so I don't know what she's selling.
can someone explain why some non elite/special attack go through my toughness even when I have 100% toughness?
my best guess is that you weren't actually at 100% toughness, unless you looked through some recordings and found some hard instances of it
And if the damage is high enough, like crusher overhead, full toughness won't help you
"non elite/special attack"
Ah missed the non part mb
usually happen with single trash mob hitting me on damnation
Poxwalker ?
nah nah, I kno poxwalker do corruption damage to your health
Iirc there was a bug early during the game's life cycle where veteran's toughness was bugged
but it always single dreg or groaner
But that ought to be fixed
and just to be doubly sure, you mean 100% health and not 100 flat hp right?
yes
hmm that's pretty unusual then
after I took damage my toughness will go down to like 60-70% and I take like 10-15% hp damage
pretty weird but it happen quite often
so I don't know if there any non-elite/special attack that will chip through toughness or not
barring a weird bug, my guess are either hidden decimal places or you taking consecutive hits
it is a SINGLE hit from SINGLE trash mob
I know when I take multiple hits
that why single hit that chip through my toughness is pretty weird
also it only happen to melee damage btw, my toughness block ranged damage just fine
just looking over my own footage from 3-4 days ago, I don't notice any melee bleedthrough at 100% toughness
Anyone else getting this error trying to get a second perk?
It wouldn't be a fatshark game if the update actually worked
I have this error on my gun's existing 2nd blessing
At least the code is still self-explanatory
So this is what it like to read normal text as Orgyn
anyone else have the dream team achieviement not tracking properly on steam? Ive done like 5 of runs of no player downs and none of them have made progress.
Did you join right at the start of the mission (landing cutscene) and have no disconnects? Not sure if that penance requires it, but the Flawless Execution penance is that strict, so I suspect Dream Team could be too.
yea started from the very beginning, 0 disconnects. I do have a few mods but theyve never interfered with them before
these are the mods I have if that helps
did have people get trapped/dogged/mutied but their health never reached 0
That doesn't count, it needs to be a down when they lose a wound.
yea figured as much
Ive made progress before. Im at 75/100 and have been for a while
It just randomly stopped getting progress after 75
Just did another one but did it on 100% solo and none of the bots went down still didnt count
Hell yes the new update must be very well tested by Fatshark´s Dev´s
If i would publish does updates i would be ashamed and get a first and last warning by my boss
is anyone else having issues switching between wargear sets?
Yes. Multiple have mentioned it.
so not just me, i've been going crazy about that
anyone maybe have some insight on why my game stutters when a teammate tags an enemy or even an item?
my game runs fine, have good ping, game never crashes, and it doesn't happen when I tag something...only when another player tags something
what 2 feats should i slap on my vets agg braced auto?
Deathspitter+fire frenzy
Speedload if you feel you have trouble keeping volley fire up
anyine hit the Melks cap yet on his Dockets since the merge? if so what is it?
What i found with the no players going down it doesnt count progress as you get them or even when you leave the game it only will update after you reenter the game after leaving. The achievement still will count progess just wont update
100k
Looking for something that explains some more advanced movement mechanics regarding iframes etc. Any feedback or resources are appreciated immensely.
@woeful root
:(
here's an explanation on dodges against melee attacks by tinyangrycrab, who has read the code and done testing using his crab powers #psyker-class message
against ranged attacks, you get straight up i-frames whenever you're dodging, sliding, and sprinting perpendicularly to the direction of the attack
here is an example of dodges giving i-frames against Gunners https://streamable.com/2lt083
here's an example of sprinting giving you i-frames (the game uses the direction that your camera is facing, not the direction that you're moving in, to judge whether or not you get i-frames) https://streamable.com/pxqay1
dodge-slides give you the highest uptime on ranged I-frames, but they also count twice towards your dodge limit, and some weapons prevent you from dodge-sliding after a certain amount of dodges
I fucking love you. Thank you so fucking much @woeful root @formal granite
A quick clarifying question since I've never paid attention to it: What are the top values you can get on the curio blessings?
hello i need some help theres this pennence where you need to do each mission tayp on mallice defculty and i have no idea what mission i have left pleass help ,what can i do ?
What do you guys think about having a 0 wounds loadout in Auric Maelstorm?
almost no one I see takes an extra wound once you get to that level
chances are if the situation is dire enough to go down, you probably arent getting the revive off anyway and you'll just die straight up in that difficulty
question: is it a feature that some hits goes through toughness or a bug ?
it's a feature; the tutorial is just completely outdated
if you have less than 100% toughness, then melee attacks will always bleed through your toughness and into your hp
if you have 90% toughness remaining, then melee will deal 10% of its damage to your health
Mauler and Crusher overheads are an exception, in that they can bleed through your toughness even at 100% if you don't have enough effective flat toughness to block all of it
e.g., Crusher overheads deal 260 damage on Damnation
if you have 200 toughness and 150 hp, eating that overhead is going to take away 200 toughness and 60 of your HP, leaving you at 90 HP
thx u @woeful root for the explanation 🙂 thats rly good to know. wished the would remove it for normal trash mobs. sucks when a zombie kills u on low hp and 99% toughness :/
yeah, it feels bad but ultimately you're just being punished for being at low hp
it feels so bad its a trash feature for me. makes toughness kinda shit
taking at least 1 HP curio is generally preferred, though toughness has the advantage of regenerating
and toughness regeneration from melee kills and your feats being percentage-based does increase the value of stacking toughness
you get punished for getting hit, but on the other hand, you can constantly take free hits as long as you're at 100% toughness
true but for the action sucks
it promotes a kill-faster-than-you-get-killed playstyle without being overly OP
which was a problem that they apparently ran into with Temporary HP in Vermintide
Toughness is something the player juggles at 100% and it basically works like THP while being way less overpowered
You'd be impressed with the bullshit some people can pull at 2 HP by simply keeping up 100% toughness
And it's technically different from keeping up THP because 2 health means you can only take two hits in a row, unlike Vermintide where you just stack THP and it acts like you were at the THP's health value endlessly
Getting mats? well if only for sake of process of getting mats itself. mats are useless you will get trash rolls anyway.
Is it possible to discard modifications that you’ve made to your weapon?
you can reroll the perk or blessing to what it was before but that's about it
it'll still use up one of your modified slots
Once you have spent your modification slot, you aren't able to change it again.
At least for blessings as far as I can tell.
With perks it's still giving me the option to refine it to a different perk.
Ther is no way to delete locks
So is anyone else having issues with auric maelstrom?
Define "issues"
Can I still earn the Redacted Penances?
Yes. Some require you to be in a private game though.
I noticed that but thankfully I have more then 3 friends who play lol
Thank you for confirming though!

Oi ! Would someone happen to know if the Auric-level missions grants more crafting materials than the standards one at the same difficulty ?
no, but quickplay does
is stamina hardcapped? i have 2x+3 stamina curios +3 stamina hammer and my stamina is still at 10 bars
is there still no way to check which one is missing?
1 base + 3 hammer (4) + 3 curio (7) + 3 curio (10)
likely you are missing repair and investigation
since those mission types only have 1 map each (hab dreyko and power matrix)
damn
It would depend on class no? I thought only Psyker had 1 base stamina.
Good point
spoken like a true Psyker main; I'm proud of you
best recon lasgun to use?
Looking for information about this symbol & the spot it holds. Sometimes it is not there, sometimes it does not look the same. What does it mean?
it refers to the highest difficulty that you've completed that mission on
e.g., the single skull with 4 wings under Vigil means that you completed it on Heresy
the 3 wings under smelter means that you completed it on Malice
and so on
I see . . . I think this is the only one I've beaten on 5, so that makes sense. Thank you
oh my god, there are so many ppl wondering which missions they still have to complete to finish all missions on difficulty penance. thank you for info
Sadly it's account wide and not character wide

its crashing on me
i have decent pc setup
3060, 5600x, 32gb ram and ssd.
first i thought it was me experimenting on setting
but as soon as i went back to default setting that game sets if for my setup
it crashes on me even after changing the setting to default
and checking the file integrity
the fuck am i supposed to do now
oh okay not here
fuck
wouldn't matter where i say this cause fatshark is just giving me a tone deaf response
Set worker threads to 5, also try 6. You find this in the launcher settings when you start the game up. Obv update all your drivers, especially your graphics ones with Nvidia. Check to see if there are any incompatibilities with other programs by using task manager (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC at the same time) and closing anything that's open under apps (chrome, steam, etc.). If you have Windows 10 (not sure if it's the same for 11), go to "%AppData%\Fatshark\Darktide\crash_dumps" should you need to find a crash log during support.
https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/c/darktide/technical-issues/93 has a list of all of the currently known issues, if nothing helps you can also post there with issues and what causes the crash(s). I remember you talking about it crashing when AFK, stuff like that helps debugging. I wish you the best of luck o7
Also make sure to dial back overclock/undervolt if you are doing so
so monstrosity specialists is bugged right?
just getting full strength bosses like 2-3 at a time on malestrom
are there any guides on how the blessing system works?
The blessings you don't own have a magnifying glass icon on them, which means you can consume that weapon at Hadron's Crafting Bench of Misery and Shattered Hopes to permanently add them to your account. The blessing then can be used on any weapon of that same type (combat axe, surge staff, tactical axe, voidstrike staff, revolver, etc.) as many times as you want by paying the respective costs of dockets, plasteel and diamantine.
In the current crafting system, you can select any two slots in perks and blessings to reroll, which locks it permanently as the slot for another reroll, so you can do 2 blessings, 2 perks, or 1 blessing and 1 perk
it's intended
i went from 5->8 missions complete running seditions while my dregs didn't budge at all?
i got the rest in heresy+ - am i going insane or something?
I know some missions just don't spawn Dregs sometimes. Haven't had any problems with missions not counting progression in a while though, might be a bug if you remember killing Dregs.
i'm playing purgatus psyker, definitely killed a good few..
oh well, i have too many melk coins anyways lol
ty!
I'm not sure about this, but enemies killed with soublaze may not count towards ranged kills
Apparently "kill x with ranged" counts kills as a team, so it's likely you just didn't encounter many dregs on those missions
certainly killed a number of them, i even headburst a few to keep charges up, i quickplay'd all the seditions but just normal queued a mission and got it immediately, may be something to do with that, though i'm pretty sure that's not normal.
It could've been some server issue that delayed the mission progress then.
I have a friend who has been dealing with input lag in Darktide. It's been described as a "feels like vsync is always on", or "playing with a really cheap mouse" and it's just causing a slight but noticeable delay in gameplay. They don't have this issue in Vermintide 2, it's only present in this game. They also run a config (edited the graphics config, not using that one mod) that makes their game look like playdough (removing particles, the whole deal), but they can run V2 perfectly fine on medium/high settings. I know Darktide is more intensive on the computer, I've ruled out computer problems and whatnot. Are there any things they could try?
yeah seen a couple of those around
how the hell did i even trigger the daemonhost here?
maybe the purg psyker firing near the daemonhost was enough to make it maintain aggro, and your plasmagun was the straw that broke the camel's back?
just testing in the psykhanium, the purg can aggro the DH if you shoot near enough, even if it doesn't take damage from it, though it required me to be fairly close to it (but maybe things change if there are more sources of aggro and whatnot)
i'm gonna sit down on the toilet
and PISS INTO MY FACE
literally the next match
guess who it focuses down next?
at this point it's just a fucking skill issue then huh
lmao
cant have shit in tertium
and to top it off i had to restart the game because it was bugged playing a looped fly swarm sound effect
maybe it's just a sign to quit for the day yeah?
at the very least, a break is warranted at this point
It just loves you and wants to hug your insides.
Which perk generally has more use for the Plasma Gun? T4 Gets Hot or T4 Shattering Impact?
What're the recommended perks for a Laspistol?
Shattering Impact doesn't really do much for the Plasma Gun iirc.
For Laspistol you want Ghost and Dumdum for blessings.
Much appreciated!
Do curio drop % blessings stack or no?
Hello all, can somebody help me to understand the weapon stats please ? If I take an example with a Ripper gun, you have the primary action (I translate from french so sorry if it's not the exact translation) with a number (for ex: 445). Is that the damage ? As two line under there is "modifiers" and "damage : 47%" , I am not sure of what is 445 exactly, and what is the damage ratio... 47% of what ? The question is the same for all stats but I guess as soon as I will understand for one, I will understand for the others hopefully... Thanks for your help
when you have an item selected in your inventory, you can press [V], and hovering over each stat will tell you the stats and range of values that the stat modifiers scale
most stats scale linearly with the percentage
ah ! That's golden info ! Thanks a lot
Yes. All the perks/blessings for curios stack. Resistances have a special stacking behavior but everything else should stack linearly.
ah ok, ty
I need help doing the penace make every shot count
If you're looking for a lfg for the penance, https://discord.com/channels/727074276724965407/1045597890472579075
For tips, run Plasma Gun, Revolver, or any of the Shotguns. You have a 10% allowance of missed shots. Shotguns will count if any pellet hits. Don't shoot Psyker-BB targets unless you know for sure that they'll survive (Ogryns in general). If you're using Plasma, Revolver, or Kantrael's fire special, try to make sure that enemies are always stacked up next to each other when shooting so it guarantees that the piercing shot will hit something. What I did was I ran through the mission, trying to steadily decrease my ammo as the mission went on by just not picking up too much ammo (don't be afraid to pick some up so you can still handle specials/elites). During the final holdout burn ammo on horde fodder. Try to keep a few shots just in case, and pace yourself incase specials spawn. Once the holdout is completed, use the rest of your ammo. Some missions lack enemy spawns after the holdout, Smelter and some Hourglass missions do this sometimes iirc. Low-intensity missions are good for this.
Looking for blessing recommendations for my shovel. Don't have thrust 4 yet sadly, so i'm looking for alternative approaches to ramping up power. I'm thinking I can make use out of AoN since I have Take a Swing which will bring me to 80% if I keep pushing followed by heavy. Other option I'm thinking of is keeping Decimator and Skullcrusher for 70% for just attacking frequently.
The heavy attack is pretty mid for damage, so I'd go for take a swing and spam lights
Though the headshot priority is also a bit iffy
nah, also take the shovel so you can hear the bonk when you get a headshot (using heavy attack) or whatever you like mate)
sometimes i see a right arrow icon aura that makes me run faster... anyone knows which class it's from?
ogryn has a feat that shares their move/attack speed buff on ult use
it looks like this and there's no ogryn in the team
oh that's just the icon for sprinting when >0% stamina
ooh
you sprint at full speed and get i-frames against ranged attacks perpendicular to you
so i guess they thought it useful to have it as an icon
i personally have it removed with a mod
didnt know about this thanks
Are Melk's contracts only based on your gameplay or do team melee/ranged kill count too?
It counts kills as a team
At least according to google anyway, never really tested it myself
It's team based. Stuff like plasteel, grimoires, kills, all based on total team stats.
It counts team member's melee and ranged kills.
We have some massive news for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2! They officially confirmed PVP/PVE Modes for the game, then they deleted it, good thing I screenshotted everything!

Can anyone confirm what the highest tier is for blessings? 4 or 5?
I wasn't able to find a crafting related page on the wiki, any resource I could take a look at for crafting related questions?
I use that https://darktide.gameslantern.com/weapons
Not sure how up to date it is though
ty, I'll have a look at that!
4 but 5 is in the code
Does anyone know how Brutal Momentum works?
Ignore Enemy Hit Mass for 1.5-4.5 seconds on Weak Spot Kill
What's Hit Mass? And does this only activate for 4.5 seconds if you kill an enemy with say.. a headshot?
your hits won't get stuck on mobs and yeah it's the head in most cases
it's very good blessing on the Ogryn's Latrine Shovel
it has pretty bad cleave by default but once you get it activated you can just keep walloping on the horde without a care in the world
I wouldn't say it's very good right now because shovel's cleave damage drops to 0 after the 3rd target your swing hits, even with brutal momentum, but it does make light attacks into hordes much safer
what it's very good on is combat axes, turning a singletarget weapon into a horde lawnmower.
BM should be reworked, make it % based, where it increase the base Hit Mass limiter instead of removing it
guys, did toughness at any point worked as shield against melee hits and not a damage reduction depending on the amount?
100% toughness works like a shield, any amount below that will have hp bleedthrough. as far as I know this was always the case but I didnt play the earliest alphas or betas
it was SOOOO late in development, or the implementation was at least. like totally crazy late, i only played in the last beta, the one you got in for preordering, and i think i played literally two days with the old toughness rules (no bleedthrough) and then a few in the experimental or buggy implementations before they added this current one
toughness as i recall worked totally different like, between 10 days and a week before launch, sometime around then
I recall it being really funky with the bleedthrough when you had any +toughness curios. Don't recall exactly what was wrong with it though.
it was a case where toughness bleedthrough only was blocked at exactly 100 flat value. For tough above 100 it effectively didn't stop bleedthrough. So it effectively was non-existent on vet which had 200 tough base, and was by far the most popular beta/launch class
at one point bleedthrough only was intended to yeah that
i think it was supposed to scale to your base toughness or something?
so if you had (the amount of toughness you'd get with no curios) you'd take 0 bleed, if you had any more than that you'd take 0 bleed, if you had any less it would scale.
but it didn't work and made vet and also strongly zel terrible for a bit
So if I want a certain blessing I have to spend money at brunts armory and burn resources until rng gives me that blessing
Oh wow I finally got savage sweep
can anyone read that
What are you trying to read? The grey numbers?
Here's a clearer view of the panel.
You can zoom out the weapon model with scroll wheel as well. Not sure what it is on controller. The flickering sadly isn't fixed yet.
Yeah just the Grey part sorry for not clarifying
Do you guys find Efficiency on the MG 12 lasgun useful? I like using it with Psyker or Zealot since it's a great way to save ammo.
Got a pretty fantastic roll from Melk today, but I'm here looking for recommendations on how I could refine this more. Should I switch out either of the perks hunting for better, and should I try to hunt for another blessing?
I've done a little bit of searching and seen that uncanny strike is very good but this is only rank 2
I've also seen mixed opinions on whether Deflector is a must take or a crutch
@rare needle
If I were you, I'd pull deflector 3 off of that Deimos sword and try and acquire a deimos with a high Damage / Finesse / First Target roll. I personally do not like swords with Finesse stats that are 70 or below. Mobility and warp resistance are kind of dump stats for force swords since you get unlimited dodges and you can activate your force sword special attack at 99% peril.
Also, slaughterer for force swords is banging and for the other the blessing you can slap on deflector, shred, executor, or unstable power. Uncanny strikes is alright on force swords, but its moreso useful against crushers and spamming light attacks against flak targets. Otherwise most of the heavy attacks for force swords deal equal damage against unarmored, infested, flak, maniac, and I think unyielding targets. I cannot recall correctly at the moment.
Any recommendations for perk swapping?
Unarmored, flak, or infested dmg boosts are good replacements for the melee weakspot dmg boost. I think with + infested and slaughterer 4 and a couple warp charges you can one shot a dog with a headshot with the deimos's first light attack.
is Cavalcade any good for bolter? What does it really do?
How much better would this gun be if i replaced Cavalcade with Shattering Impact?
Caval not good on Bolter, you want Pinning Fire & Shattering Impact only for that pure damage/stagger/cleave and armor shredding respectively
