v0 is the initial velocity
a is acceleration
what do we know?
yes it is thank you!

hi,
i was doing bonding in chem, I had a doubt from MOT
it says pi bond symmetry is not going to work as orbitals are of diff axis that is px and py and the lobe signs wud be diff above and below molecular axis
but on yt a teacher explained diff
she said same but took px and px orbitals
my ques is can u do pie bonding with orbitals of same axis? and how is it still messed up then?
its generally called a converging lens because it tends to converge an incoming beam of light but it can also act as a diverging lens!! if the medium around the lens is denser than the lens itself
what if rays ain't parallel, is it still converging?
Yes. but not at the focus. They converge at a point on the focal plane such that the angle between the reflected ray and principle axis is the same as the angle between the incident ray and principle axis.
there's a case when they don't converge but we draw lines in ray diagram so they appear to meet
the tangent of the angle made by the incident ray with the principal axis will be equal to the ratio between height if point of convergence from principal axis and focal length of the lens
Yes , my definition wasn't perfect as I learnt this a decade ago or something. Focus is defined as the point where the rays converge or appear to converge
got the right answer cos it was multiple choice but dont know how to get there
distance = speed * time
Thank you for this. Really appreciate your help😁
hi guys! it has been days but I cant still think of a problem and title for my research T^T it should be pharmacy related. Can you guys suggest anything? 🥺
I REALLY NEED HELP: A Photon has a frequency of 7.5 x 1014 Hz. If the energy of the photon triples, what is the new frequency? a. 2.3 x 1015 b. 2.5 x 1014 c. cannot be determined
No worries
With 1014 do you mean 10^14 ?
Answer is a.
Energy of a photon is given by E= hf where h is Planck's Constant
When energy is tripled , frequency should also triple because Planck's Constant is a constant and it cannot vary
New frequency = 7.5x 10^14 x3 = 22.5 x 10^14
Adjusting decimals
This gives 2.25 x 10^15
Rounded off to 2.3 x 10^15
You're welcome
In an 8000 strand coil a 15 kV emf is induced. Determine at what rate the magnetic flux changed.
I'm not sure if I'm thinking correctly here:
N=8000
E=15kV=15000V
E=-N(ΔΦB/Δt)
(ΔΦB/Δt)=x
15000V=-8000(x)
-8000x=15000V|: (-8000)
x=-1,875 Wb/s
YEP YEP right it is

Can anyone help explain what “by such means we could send signals at infinite speed.” means?
that means if we use gravitational effect to send signals ,we can send at infinite speed
can someone explain this
Option 3, keto-enol. In option 3 you dont have enough of hydrogens to put on 3 "OH" groups. Just search for Tautomerism you will get your thing
Thanks
Can someone help me on circled red ones 😭
I will love u forever and plz mention me If u respond
Any know how to format this problem? I want to plug in the givens into two separate equations based off the formula below but I keep doubting myself
See First you assume that the 25 gram is "C". and you apply the formula to raise the temp. by 1k. But you dont get the above mentioned heat. And then you try to do the same assuming D is the entire 25 gram. But again you dont get the right answer. Now, you can conclude that it must be a mixture of C and D. And now you assume C as '25-x' grams and D as (x) grams and you put on the formula and thats it. You get the value of x.
1-tert butyl, 4-methyl cyclohex-1-ene
can u explain why is that dude
Idk how to do dot or cross product, mayday
is outer radius + inner radius = total radius?
Decompose the vectors into the sum of their components and, using the distribution method, sum the smallers products between each component one by one
Example :
Using x, y and z as the normal base vectors of R3 (the 3D space)
A = (a,b,c) = ax + by + cz
B = (d,ef) = dx + ey + fz
You get :
That's a long way of doing it, but it works all the time
The short way is : Sum the product of every component with its equivalent (the x-component of A with the x-component of B, ...)
You'll also get ad + be + cf
You can follow the same method with the cross product, and multiply each vector component of A with those of B one by one
The thing is, you'll get x, y and z in your answer. Reverse the very first step to get a complete vector
damn i learnt these 5 months before... i knew all these things but now i forgot haha... since i passed and didnt touched my books after that
Thx 👍
To all my indian peeps who have thier neet exam tommorow including me, wish you all the best and lots of love

Hey guys! I'm really struggling with this problem. Have tried parallelogram laws to resolve it but have no idea how to come to the answers.
The answers are: F = 55,8225 N, Theta = 22.51°
15 is parallel with 5, both terminal are touching the 2 terminal of the other

1 mole of methane will combust completely to give -728 kj/mol
So 2 moles will be ... 2x -728 KJ
Ah alright thank you!!
ay i need some help with some science work asap if someone can dm and call id appreciate'
r u sure those r the answers bc when i put those numbers in the calculator i get 94.5
pause i think i got it
bruh i got 69.02 for theta and 144.0572 for F
ok update.. it was carbon 3 and carbon 5 but why
how to position the elements in lewis dot structure
for me I'm currently learning it up to 3 elements
can green gas be accepted in a)ii)?
These are the answers from the teacher, but I don't know how he resolved it. Anyway, thank you for the reply!
Can you give an example of what you're wondering about? I'm not sure I understand your question
my minds been blank this whole hour trying to figure out this question
Do I need to use 2 equations?
or just one
Do you still need hellp with this?
Only for part b
I'll do it in a moment. in class rn
do you have the answer to check with ?
on rough calculation, I got around 75m
There is no answer, if I answer the 5 times it just locks and doesn't tell me thee answer
thanks, you can take your time btw its not due tmr or anything like that
oh, I'm done
I've tried to explain things as simple as I could. If you need further explanations, let me know @willow lion
Ohhh ok
that makes sense now
there were way more steps than I expected though. Thanks for the explanations they're amazing
after you hit 88 kmph, your car would move further away. so, you need to find thetime when it hits that speed and work things out
The hard part is converting the word problem into numbers. once you do that, it's pretty easy
Also, once you learn that, you can do it in a page . I made sure i explained everything as I didn't want you getting lost halfway through
no problem. Keep trying to solve problems like these and you'll be alright
👍
What do you need help with? Redox reactions are, at its core, a reaction where electrons are exchanged, usually from a nucleophile to an electrophile/from compound with low electronegativity to one with higher elextronegativity
Thank you. Someone already answered my question so I understand everything now.

Hello
I just wanted to know why 100cm m^-1 is unlimited sigfig???
Please someone let me know why please n ty
You mean 100cm/1m ?
dont laugh pls i dont know the answer to this..
option b
can u explain why :')
the equation is right there 😶
it's A. the ratio of HCl : NH3 : NH4Cl is 1 : 1 : 1. if you change that ratio of the HCl : NH3 to 1 : 2, the product would produce 1 mole of NH4Cl (as shown in the original equation) and an excess mole of NH3.
in other words, 1 mole of HCl + 1 mole of NH3 produces 1 mole of NH4Cl. hope this helped.
option a
well said
I thought A too but my understanding wasn't solid, this completely clears it up thank youuuu !
it says sealed container so the excess NH3 will remain inside
guys did galileo or newton invent gravitational acceleration
galileo had the pisa atowwer experiment
and he figured out similar acceleration between objects with # masses
does that mean he discovered gravitational acceleration
the postulates of galileo indicated a constant which resembled g but he didnt mention it
I learned in school that any number that comes after a non-zero number is a sigfig, but there are other rules that I'm forgetting. Hope this helps
newtons equation whereas indicated about acceleration directly
hmm alright thanks
I'm back, what's your question?
Hi! I'm going to school rn, is it fine I'll let u know when I come back?
Sure
0 doesn't add to accuracy, because 1000000 is as accurate as 1*10^6, which has just 1 significant nr. I think that might be it?
how do i know the state of compounds in a reaction
Like hydroxides and oxides
is there ant procedure or chart
you cant tell actually
depends on the conditions and melting and boiling point of compounds
also pressure as it tampers melting and boiling
you can have a guess sometimes but very hard to tell in general
and some reactions environment can contain multiple state of same compound
for hydroxides are generally in a solution for reaction so they are aqeous
n oxides are generally gaseous?
nope they are also found in solid state
like CaO powder is used for production of CaCO3
so it depends
i didnt say oxides cant be found as gas
is cao the only solid oxide or are there more
Metal oxides are usually solid at room temp
no there are many more
hii guys. do you know any isolation process or the whole process on how to get Quercetin from papaya leaves?

⚠️ A mole is not a molecule
A molecule of NH4Cl contains 6 atoms
A mole is a set of 6,022*10²³ molecules (by definition, no matter what kind of molecules)
Therefore, 4 moles of NH4Cl contains 4•6,022•10²³ molecules of NH4Cl
As each molecules has 6 atoms, that means there are a total of :
6•4•6,022•10²³
Which of these amino acids would probably end up on the inside of a protein when it folds into its 3D shape?
You don’t need to do the 6,023x10^23 since they asked of how many moles of atoms, the answer is 24 😼
Oh yeah I misread the question mb
I made the same mistake lmao
could anyone tell dimensional formula of this in steps?
for a point mass moment of inertia is defined as mass times square of perpendicular distance from axis of rotation. coming to its dimensional formula from definition we can say that [M][L^2] .Radius of gyration is that radius a point object of same mass as the one for which radius of gyration is being calculated should be kept so that the moment of inertia remains same
@pale girder
yeah i am reading im sorry , im a bit slow in understanding
sorry i delted
ok i got it now thanks a lot u explain very well and in simple words.
WHAT IS GERM PORE?
Is anyone a bio major
that still remembers basic bio stuff
like general bio
Germ Pores are the apertures on pollen grains where the protective layer sporopollelin is absent. It has Callose.
So pollentube comes out from germ pore?
Yess
Yes ig
In an mcq que was that
From where did pollen tube comes out and answer was intine only...👀
Intine and exine are the parts of pollen grain,,,in order to come out it has to come across germ pores
Wait i am sharing a pic
Okiee thnx for explaining
Thnkyou
Sorry can't help much my bio not in english〒_〒
I'll not do good in NEET exam 😭
U helped a lot thnkyou
Any nice resources for pharmacology for medicine students?
If an object has a constant acceleration of 1m/s^2 for 7 seconds, then at each second, the instantaneous acceleration is equal to the average acceleration. I typed this during class so if u want, I can explain it better
ok
The best way to understand these equations is to put units on them so when you say a, think meters per second squared, when you see v, think meters per second, and when you see S, think meters. If you do it correctly, the units on one side should match the other. If this still doesn't make sense, I'll try to add in some numbers if u want.
Hey Folks, this is a link to a research survey. If you have a couple of minutes, filling it out would help me a lot. There are no right or wrong answers, just fill in whatever you think is true.

i dont understand the words
does anyone know the difference between sporangia and sporocytes? I'm kinda confused
all i know about this topic is sporocyte is a cell that produces haploid spores during meiosis
Hello, I need someone who is good at chemistry. I'm grade 11. It would be very, very good if you could speak German.

Hey I can't help you if you give me nothing to work with in the first place
Can anyone help me with this sum
A car was travelling at a constant speed for 30minutes. just then it met with an accident and is sped became three-fourth its original because of the decrease speed the journey after the accident took 60 more minutes than it would have taken if there was no accident. Find the total time take by the car in this journey
let me know if you have any doubts
wut is meaning of biestrous????
My eyes have lenses, so when we see an object very closely it appears blur because it lies between focus and opt. centre. Then why does not the image appear inverted to us? (Since image formed of the obj between f and O is virtual and erect)
the image created IS INVERTED at our retina
but the optic nerve is built as such that we see the correct image
\the normal images which are inverted , appear to us erect,//
no it doesn't appear erect to us. if its an erect (I'm assuming that's what you meant by normal) object, the image formed in retina is inverted which is further processed by the brain, inverted again and thus we see the image in it's original state.
Because the lens in our eye doesnt have a fixed focal length. it will adapt to make sure we get to see an erect image.
there are a bunch of muscles attached to the lens called ciliary muscles which helps in changing the focal length of the lens in our eyes
do some research about ciliary muscles and you might stumble upon something that might answer all your doubts @woeful talon
Can someone explain these steps to me? Its inertia of a sphere

I need some help with physics
been stuck on this question
And not sure why this one is wrong, I tried 50 too
how do you find the potential difference across Ac
still need help ?
i got this as 64.78 km
and the angle 40.9 . I see it is 36.9 so, I'm not really sure
Heated?
Triangle thing stands for heat ig
Indeed
Thank you so much! Its definitely much easier when you structure it like that to understand, the explanations help clear any misunderstandings I had too. I was doing these for 5 hours and you made them look so easy xD. I guess the real difficult part is turning words into numbers & values
If you try to illustrate the question , it'll make much more sense and you'll be able to picture it in your head thus making it easier
I got so confused in the woodpecker question since they didn't give me time?
also for the vector length I was doing pythagorem but it I knew it wasn't working since its not a right angle triangle
so Im not sure how you got the length of 64.78km
for angle I just used this equation
Which equation did you use ?
I had used parallelogram law , and I got the answer around 64ish
Wait, let me get my ipad. I think I still have it there somewhere
@willow lion have you learnt parallelogram law of vector addition?
I don't think so
Uhhh
This is what I learned
Oh, vector resolution
This is how you solve using parallelogram law
Would look confusing since you don’t know that. I just posted it since i had solved it before
I see Im sure I will learn it eventually
since we just started learning about kinematics and vectors
I'm sure you'll. Good luck
Thank you for helping me. Really.
No problem
I was so unbelievably stuck and frustrated
I saw the questions late , or I'd have sent answers earlier
Its no worries, we all have our own things to do so I am already grateful you took the time to help
How do I calculate the acceleration of gravity from the surface of a planet?
nvm i cba
experimentally ?
does here anyone want to see or study for the chapter "general organic chemistry"
i have my hand written notes
guys
i have a doubt
here in this question , why did they say 16g of ch4 as 1 mole?
because based on the given chemical equation, you need at least 1 mole of CH4 to produce the predicted products in the equation.
cuz like they said in ques 16 g of methane makes a combustion
right?
and that wud be 1 mole
if they said it just ch4 then we wud assume avogadro no as 1 mole right?
yup. also, if you solve for the molecular mass of CH4, it corresponds to 16.05 g/mol, if that helps you understand it better.
ohhhhh ok
yeah
12+4
ok
ty
:3
can someone plz tell me which one is progesterone and which one is for oestrogen plzzzzz
tmrw is my test and i am pretty sure this might help in the exam
yes yes my bad

Hi does anyone know of any good resources to understand commutators? (in physical chemistry/algebra) I'm struggling with the math part of phys chem🥲
are the red and bluish colours due to scattering or it is due to dispersion at my eyes(eye's lens)?
scattering
no change in vision at the level of the eye lens
Can someone explain this ?
There are several way of getting 0 as a result
One very visual one is that :
- All three charges are the same value
- They are placed in such a way that they form a perfect equilateral triangle around the charge Q
Now, take the each force vector F1, F2 and F3. If you sum them and draw what their sum looks like, you'll realise that they also "form" an equilateral since they are of same length (because the charges are of same value, and so are the forces). Thus the tip of F3 loops back to the tail of F1, which means the total sum of forces (= net force) is zero
Again, that's a very graphic way of interpreting this problem, and it only works because of the symmetry.
The best way to prove that sum(F) = 0 is by giving each force vector proper component values. Draw a 2D coordinate system, and try getting the components for each force vector (as shown in the solution). Then, sum them all, and normally the x- and y-components of all three forces should cancel each other out
Can anyone explain the steps to solving this? “A championship golfer uses a nine iron to chip a shot right into the cup. If the golf ball is launched at a velocity of 20 m/s at an angle of 45° above the horizontal, how far away was the golfer from the hole when he hit the ball? What maximum height did the ball reach?”
There you go @unborn lava
can anyone eplain the structure of flagella
@shell drum How did you improve your physics understanding and how to convert word questions to numbers and understand what to do?
Practice I guess. I learnt these topics ages ago. and have dealt with even tougher topics in my engineering degree. The best thing, in my opinion, is to familiarise yourself with questions, and also, try drawing figures so that you can have a better ubderstanding of things
The answer says that they are the same type of force
But one is normal force and one is gravitational force?
Can someone explain
Engineering rocks
I don't really understand the Terminal speed part
It might just have to do with breaking the helicopter's fall into its x and y components. As long as nothing happens in the y-direction as the helicopter falls, then it could reach a terminal speed since terminal speed is only in the y-direction
Hello
Can you please let me know how to do pressure unit conversion?

in this experiments interpretation it said the positive charges form the glass rod charged the metal rod? how is this possible isnt glass a insulator so it should restrict the flow of electrons
Hi, I'm a physics student from Perú. Does anyone has information or a book were can I find about anomalous dispersion?
glass is a dielectric material. But it may be charged. Dielectrical property means that the material couldn conduct a current of electricity, but it still be able to stock charges
Also, charges inside a dielectrically material can be influenced to spread over the material's body in two poles.
please, I need help in this :c
Hi guys, can someone please help me with this question? Thank u!!
from one sabis student to another, youre just better off memorising the answer in the hw exam
because if theres one thing that sabis is good at, it's not making sense
though out of curiosity, do you go to a sabis school in europe ? bc this is the first time i encounter someone from a european sabis school
damn another sabis student those are rare , i go to a sabis school in asia
ooof like i asked my physics teacher that question man literally ignored me. Ig its good to know that all sabis schools are equally dumb
fun fact hw exams are exclusive to the gulf
Yeah ahaha, i moved from one of the schools in the gulf, to one that follows Cairo's ciriculum so i found that out
Only had one of year of those and was losing my sanity from them, glad i got out of there :)
What is the pressure of the atmosphere at the surface of Earth (sea level)?
1 atm. But there are another unities for it. For example, 1 atm is equal to 101325 Pa (Pascal's), usually rounded to 10^5 or 100 kPa.
Another example is 1 atm=760 mmHg (millimeters of Mercury) or 760 torr
When you have triple integrals, if talking about volume, they can swap their places. That's why in the example they first do the integral around r, next around theta and last, around phi
Anyone know how to answer
Our teacher gave this as an exercise despite the fact that we haven't learn it yet
shouldnt it be red then?
How can i answer no.b)
The left concrete block shifts the center of gravity to the left to counter the mass of the right arm and what it carries
The base concrete blocks lower the center of gravity to make the crane more stable, in case it is slightly inclined
Plus, the base blocks shift the total/average center of gravity even more towards the center of the crane, for even more stability
But how is r^2 = r^2sin^2phi

That's 20h of work, that's more than enough if you use your time wisely and don't get distracted
@stable sand
does anyone know the answer ?😩
If I am not mistaken... because the change of coordinate system. I guess they give you the radius on your problem's data as simply r. But because of changing it to cilindrical coordinates, it changes to r, theta and phi
if you can post a pic of the entire problem, it would be good
spherical coordinates*
i guessed on this, i don't know why this is correct can someone help?
This is correct because Neon, in neutral state, has 8 electrons. F in neutral state has 7, but since its F- it has one extra electron adding up to 8. Nå and Mg have 9 and 10 respectively, but since they have a positive charge they lose an electron per positive charge. Meaning all ions have 8 electrons, same as Neon
Could someone help with physics?
The question asked: can you find the velocity before the braking period without calculating acceleration, and it gave you the distance in which it took to break and the time. It also stated that it decelerated constantly. So I thought you could find the average velocity during the deceleration period and double it to find the velocity before the brake was hit since the average would be between 0 and vi so then you can multiply by 2.
Would this work
Are you asking what pH is? pH is a logarithmic scale of acidity, in most cases going from 1-14, and is a measure of how many H+ ions are in a solution. The more H+ the more acidic. The formula for pH is -log[H+]. pH 7 is neutral, pH 14 is basic and pH 2 is acidic.

25-27 = -2. There you go :D
Nah seriously
In 24 you wrote that the instantaneous speed of the flower pot aftee 1 sec is 0. I'm not bothering to redo the math to make sure it's correct. I'll just take it for granted that it is.
25)Now, since the pot needs 1 sec to go up to its max height, that means it'll take it another second to come back to its initial height.
- Let's say someone launches the flower pot and gives it a certain initial potential energy Ek
You'll have, at t = 0s :
Kinetic energy = Ek
Potential energy = 0
The total energy this flower pot has is thus Ek
After 1s, the flower pot has speed 0 but is at its max height (max potential energy). Since the total amount of energy it has is constant, that means :
Kinetic energy = 0
Potential energy = Ek
Finally, when it falls back and comes down to its original height, its potential energy is back to 0.
Therefore kinetic energy is back to Ek (to keep the total energy constant).
Kinetic energy = mv²/2, and the mass of the flower pot hasn't changed mid-air.
The flower pot has same kinetic energy and same mass at the beginning and the end of its mid-air travel => it has the same speed
- Horizontal and vertical displacements are totally independent in a free fall situation. Therefore, if you only look at the vertical displacement of both flower pots, you'll see they are the same :
- released from rest at the same time
- same initial height (the window)
- same initial speed (0)
- same constant acceleration (-g)
Therefore, they will hit the ground at the same moment. (But not at the same place, because one of them will have travelled a few meters horizontally as well)
quick question
does composition of air change over alitude?
google says no
but in my learning objectives there's something about it
air is a mixture of gases so the heavier gases tend to stay near the surface of the earth and thus their concentration decreases with altitude
so co2, oxygen and nitrogen stay near the surface while hydrogen can reach higher altitudes?
yes
thanks!
does anyone understand the rate equation and orders of reactants? and could briefly explain to me?

hey! does anyone know how to do this : The synthesis of nitric acid involves two steps. The first step (78.3 % yield)
involves a reaction between nitrogen monoxide gas and oxygen gas, which produces
nitrogen dioxide gas. In the second step (55.7 % yield), nitrogen dioxide gas reacts with
water to produce nitric acid and nitrogen monoxide gas. If the reaction begins with 30.0 g
of nitrogen monoxide and 10.0 g of oxygen gas, calculate the expected yield of nitric acid.
Assume that the water is supplied in excess and that nitrogen monoxide produced in the
second step is not recycled.
You calculate the reactant that is the limiting factor and then use the percentage yields to find the final amount of nitric acid yielded

Compound A has a molecule consisting of 2 X atoms and 3 Y atoms. The mass ratio of X and Y is 7: 2. Which element is X and Y?
Thanks a lot!
Is there no other info about X and Y? What kind of compound A is?
Yup
Then I guess you just have to look up mass values in the periodic table and find two elements that fit the criteria

An oxid layer indeed forms around the metal, but part of that oxid (the metallic atoms) comes from the metal itself, which means it gets degraded
hmmm
Yooo thanks as always
No worries
Newton's 1st law
Sum of all forces = m a
Since there's only one force applied on the body (uniform displacement doesn not count as a force) , F != 0, so a can't be zero either ===> The body undergoes an acceleration
thanks you :> but I got help from a friend!
Conservation of momentum in a system :
m1 vi1 + m2 vi2 = m1 vf1 + m2 vf2
vi = initial velocity
vf = final velocity (after collision)
Note that we use velocity, not speed
Do you know calculus ?

how many x chromosomes does a sperm have?
and how many y?
does a sperm have both or just 23 chromosomes of one type
A sperm has 23 chromosomes, so does the ovum. the first 22 are similar for both. the final one is an x chromosome for ovum. but for sperm , it can either be x or y. ie, there's a 50-50 chance of it going either way.
it is the final chromosome in the sperm which decides the gender of the offspring. if it's an x chromosome, the offspring would have 44+xx (22+x from ovum, 22+x from sperm)
and the offspring would be female
if the final chromosome is y , the offspring would have 44+ xy and the gender would be male

Hello
I need help in chem
I was doing this question
And I used the pa/pt=na/nt
So I put: (0.29bar)(1.07bar)/0.797mol
I ended up getting the total mol which was 0.38moles
So I took the previous mole by dividing the total mole 0.38mol by using the mole fraction formula
And It resulted as coming to 2.09moles of Ne
So is that done correctly
I think you need to look at your math again, how can the total amount of moles be less than the moles of the two species?
I suck at thermodynamics so I don't wanna try to solve it for you but I think you should look at it again, that doesn't seem correct
Could someone correct this statement if it is wrong
Molecule is the name given to atoms that are only found as diatomic atoms and not found as monatomic atoms like most other elements.
molecules are group of atoms capable of independent existence
no. of atoms doesnt matter
indepnedent existence is main factor
basic question but i cannot remember, when making a graph of results for a report, does the independant variable go on the X axis and Dependant variable on the Y.. or is it the other way around?
Hello
First time I ask a question, I need help about General Physics 1
If the velocity of a particle is nonzero, can its acceleration be zero? Explain
If the velocity of a particle is zero, can its acceleration be nonzero? Explain
Thanks.
acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. If the velocity is constant then the acceleration will be zero.
If an object is dropped from a height then, it's velocity will be zero but the acceleration is not.
Initial velocity(u) is zero^
if the velocity is zero, doesnt that mean there’s no change in velocity thus the acceleration is zero?
The acceleration in this case is acceleration due to gravity which is 9.8 m/s². This sets the object in motion and changes the velocity.
the velocity changes, but you note that in this case v=0, I'm a bit confused
The velocity just before dropping is zero.
It's the same with a pendulum
When it's on the extreme position it's velocity is zero
really help, thanks
Deceleration = negative acceleration.
Acceleration is a generic word we use in our everyday language, as well as the scientific name for derivative of velocity.
Deceleration is just a word we use in our everyday language, but is totally unrelated to science.
You have it the correct way :)
Lmao, I'm sure you'd have found the answer on Google too
i kept getting different answers, i was like first person to reply is what i'll do
i would have thought it would be standard but, can't trust google i guess
what is the answer for this question?
@jade solar try this channel
you wont get insant replies but your doubts should get solved quick enough
Thanks
Can somene explain this to me in layman’s terms
Hi, is there something in particular that you need explained? I think the article does a decent job explaining the subject in an understandable manner, so I'm not sure what you need help with. Is it the names of the nuclei and radiation or something else? :)
Ah alright, I can DM u tomorrow and we can discuss it in detail if you wish, I need my pc for it

If the compound is charged i.e [OH-] then do you add an electron to the more electronegative and if it were to be some element [NH4+] then you remove the electron for the less electronnegative?
Can someone help in chemistry. The question is: Write the electronic arrangements for each of the . What do these cations have in common? They are:(A1(3 top the one with a plus)(mg(2 top the g with a plus)( na(top the a a plus)
Like this
Sorry for my bad hand writing.
Have you learnt about orbitals? The electronic arrangement of all three ions would be 1s2 2s2 2p6. And the cations are all isoelectronic (meaning they have the same number of electrons)
I'm not sure if that's how you write the electronic arrangement, but that's how i learnt it
Okay thank uu
how does climate change affect biodiversity?
- Migration of local species due to an abnormal increase of temperature, bringing preys and predators to places they shouldn't be at
That's a big one and the first that popped to me
Though for such a broad question, I'd recommend you do your own research. That's not something we could totally answer to in a few lines
which youtube channel can i learn physics
or book that can help me self teach
i want to learn about projectile motion
you could try eddie woo, he has a playlist specifically for projectile motion
eddie is very engaging in his methods
yeah, i believe from the second video in his playlist and onwards he gives examples which usually helps me
yes, ill check his playlist
Yep Eddie woo is nice
as climate change causes temperatures to rise at a much faster rate than ecosystems are able to adapt many species cannot survive in the new conditions. It can cause changes in migratory and mating cycles. Species that are not able to follow their required climate like plants or species that require very specialized habitats are especially at risk. Climate change can also cause changes in the pH of the ocean which harms sensitive species. There are a lot more but that's all I can think of at the moment. Also I'm an ENVI major (edited)

Hi, can anyone help me with making one trendline for multiple parallels/series in excel? I can only add them one at a time which defeats the purpose of multiple parallels, as I am creating a standard curve
guys wt does this mean?
i used 1/f1+1/f2=1/f instead of p1+p2=p
my teacher deducted marks for that
even though my answer is correct
this is the question, talking bout part (c)
OK so, I have this gen chem course in college and they are teaching about quantum mechanics and well, they taught what wavefunction is - a mathematical function which describes the wave behaviour of a particle, got that. And then, they said it's also called probability amplitude and squaring it would get you the probability density with which we can do lots of other stuff but my question is that; What is this probability 'AMPLITUDE', what does it signify. IF anyone of you smart people could explain it, I'd be very grateful and will hopefully pass this course
its a term for the area under the curve
you shouldn't need to go in-depth about it in general chemistry, but knowing what formulas to use should be enough
its very hard to explain and you will learn more about it in physical chemistry, but take the square of the area under the curve to get the probability density(just probability) of a wave function.
Can anyone help me with graph and uncertainties problems?
Wouldn't take much time
But i really need to vc

Translation:
A small car travels 0.02 miles in 2.29 seconds, braking smoothly at a final speed of 3.0 m / s.
a) find final velocity
b) find acceleration
if nobody else helps, I'll solve it in a bit
i can wait, thx so much :(<3
are you sure the translation is accurate? because you said final velocity is 3 m/s and also the first part asks to find final velocity
my bad is the original velocity
so, the initial velocity before breaking is to be found out?
@rancid badge
OMG THANKS THANKS ♡♡♡
no problem
i couldnt find this on google, maybe i didnt search enough.
but what stops a denatured protein from folding again? if its just reverted back to its primary structure, why wouldn't it spontaneously fold back into the tertiary structure like a normal protein would if it was put back into its optimal temp?

anyone who can help me with this question?
HELP how do u know which carbon atoms r the chiral centers
@thorny gyro A chiral center means that the Carbon is connected to 4 different things
So notice that Carbon 5 is connected to an OH, a methyl, an ethyl, and then the rest of the molecule
since none of those four connections are the same atom or branch, it is a chiral center
ohhh does the four substituents have to be distinct?
i c i c are carbons 2 and 4 chiral too?
Yep
nice thank u! helped a lot
LMAOOO what a way to greet u ig
lol
Most denatured proteins ‘can’ refold in vitro back to their functional forms. This is cause their folding is based on the amino sequence and conditions like optimum temp like u said. But the folding yield of a denatured is significantly lower by spontaneous renaturation. Gradual removal of the ‘denaturant’ is also needed. That process involves more detail ( usually u do it through a chromatography column). Also it is not always guaranteed ull get it back since refolding creates new structures doesnt it. (Haemoglobin is an example). Soo in theory possible but experimentally you’ll need perfect conditions in order to get renaturation and not aggregation.
Welcome :))
aight yeah that makes sense :D tyty!
Thank you so much

when summing two vectors what is the difference between first and second equation? thanks in advance
second one is just the simplified form of the first equation
The answer's in your question
"Second one is just the simplified form of the first"
So both are equal
So they're the same
They're not supposed to, give example ?
Hi all! Who can help me with this question?
EXPLAIN WHY THE WATER STREAM FROM A KITCHEN TAP GETS NARROWER AS WATER FLOWS DOWNWARD?!
No that's not how theta works
explain me pls
Theta is the angle between the x-axis and the vector, measuring counter-clockwise
It's not the angle between two vectors
Here, imagine the x axis is placed along vector of 60N, with the origin placed at its tail
That means you have :
(60, 0)
(80 cos60, 80 sin 60)
NOT
(60 cos60, 80 sin60)
(80, 0)
lemme put in my work
i think the graph is pretty much like u said
i set the 60N as the X axis
any mistake?
so it just the alternative form?
Yeah, 20sqrt(37) is just the simplified form of sqrt(14800) = sqrt(400*37) = sqrt(20² * 37)
So this expression is false, it should be
sqrt( (a+b cos)² + (b sin)² )
And the second one is correct For this arrangement of 2 vectors
I literally googled your question, and this is the first web page that came up
Ask the experts your physics and astronomy questions, read answer archive, and more.
isnt it equal if you set a as the x-axis??
bcs in my app a is as the 80 and b is 60 one
It is if A (=vector 60N) is on the x-axis. If B (= vector 80N) is instead, theta becomes -60°, since you're measuring angles counterclockwise
Oooh
Np !

Just time and space complexity
I’m trying to optimize one using rotations based on an access count but I seriously can’t figure it out
You want to make binary search trees like AVL Trees?
Nah not an AVL Tree, I’ve already implemented that, this is more of an Optimal BST

When calculating acceleration due to the earth after factoring in rotation of the Earth, why is the angular acceleration subtracted from g? Aren't both of them inwards (i.e. in the same direction) and hence should be added?
for context, this is the diagram I drew but I dont completely get it. I understand why it's minimum at the poles and max at the equator, but I still dont get why it is subtracted

Which acid or solution is used in the oxidation of ethanol to ethanoic acid
I've many sources, some say sodium dichromate, some acidified potassium dichromate, some say mixture of potassium dichromate and dilute H2SO4 while others say alkaline potassium permanganate solution
well almost everything you mentioned is a great oxidising agent so....and also since you are trying to oxidise ethanol to ethanoic acid, that's understandable ...so i would say all your sources are correct!
i would definitely say permanganate in basic conditions or jones reagent! at least those are some of the common ways i've seen in my courses

I have a question about Guass Law:
You only count enclosed charge in the RHS, right? But the expression for flux is also EAcosx where E is the electric field of ALL charges, not only enclosed charges. So how is it possible for enclosed charge/epsilon = total electric field*A?? How can a calculation involving only the enclosed charges give you an answer for charges that are not even factored into the equation??
these are what I have
it is in slightly condensed form
but it has the main concepts and formulae

hi i want to ask about electron configuration, whats the difference between 2-8-8 and 2-8-18?
thanks in advance
I think there is no difference. it is for just helping to write more electron
But Imma search
I didn't find anything
i think its all about the valence electron since it only range from 1-8, hence if the atomic number is 19 correct way to write it down is 2,8,8,1 since 2,8,9 would have been illegal
U re right
during absorption of carbohydrate in the blood the most rapid trasported monosacchride is????
little bit of a correction about the reason why its different, its lay down in the n+l rule, as n as principal quantum number and l as azimuthal quantum number ( rule of how electron fulfil each shell), for example we want to fulfill Calium (19) so the electron configuration is 1s2,2s2 2p6, 3s2 3p6, 4s1, notice here that if we sum it all up within each shell the result will be 2-8-8-1 and that the 3d subshell is missing, its because of aufbau principle which electron fills each shell from lowest to highest in term of energy level, 3d is (3+2=5) 4s is (4+0=4) and thats why it fills the S aka the N shell first, hence it is 2-8-8-1, and the written of 2-8-8-1 itself is following the order of atomic shell based in the sequence of KLMN (2 as k 8 as l 8 as m 1 as n) from the nearest to outermost the nucleus and not based in the aufbau principle thats why there is a jump after 2-8-8 to 2-8-8-1 and not 2-8-9, after the 4s subshell filled out it will return to the 3rd shell (M) to fulfill the 3d subshell. i.e 2-8-8-2 -> 2-8-9-2, 2-8-10-2, 2-8-14-2, 2-8-16-2, etc, thus the valence electron is the outermost of the shell i.e 2-8-8-2, valence electron is 2. correct me if im wrong

can anyone help me with this question pls
I believe it's because the charges outside the volume won't contribute to the total flux through the surface of the volume. This is because the electric field goes in and back out of the volume. So there is respectively a negative and a positive contribution to the total flux and those contributions cancel out.
@fading mango
Behold the drawing
The red is electric field of an external particle. On the right side the contributed flux is negative (electric field in the opposite direction of the normal to the surface), on the left it is positive.
yeah, someone on the homework help server already helped me out. But thanks for the explanation anyway!
yeah this was a major 'aha' moment for me. Made me realise that Gauss law is actually just a clever way to reframe how we think about flux and is actually logically pretty straightforward
i need a quick help
i know the process of producing ethane from methane
but how do i produce methane from ethane?
is there any way for this?
hey, what do u call this compound, IUPAC and common name...
react with chlorine, u get ch3cl and then wurtz synthesis ull get c2h6

got it thankuu
hey can you explain me why...even though glucose is a simple sugar why cant it do faster reabsorption
glucose and galactose actually have pretty similar rate of reabsorption, galactose just does it faster in more specific situations than glucose

Two conductors of same material of equal length and their radii in the ratio of 2 : 3 are connected in parallel to the same source of electricity. The ratio of the velocity of electrons in the conductor will be
pls help
discord nanbargale
4:9?
ans is 1:1 it seems
I m not very confident of my answer but i did got 1:1,what i did was
Resistance,R=p.L/A
So the ratio between the resistenc,R/R' will be 9/4 (put A=(2x)^2 nd A'=(3x)^2) )
So since the conductors are in parallel so the current in both of 'em are different .I found the ratio of the current passing through 'em
I/I'=(V/R)/(V/R')
=R'/R
=4/9
Nd thn find ratio of drift velocity
Vd/Vd' =I/I'×A'/A
(Other term cancel out) =4/9×9x^2/4x^2
=1/1
Standard equations won't give a convincing answer
I think it's to do with the vertical component but I can't figure it out
Answer's D but I'd like to know why

Hi, can i ask some radiation physics question? In photoelectric absorption, the cells will lose e- in K shell and replace by the e- in L and M shells. What happen to the body since the body loses the e- ?
i think nthing happens to body
the configuration changes
it only jumps to attain higher stability
thia can vary from element to element
oh so it means the lost electron will be then replaced rite ? coz there's still a vacancy in the cell.
yeah probably i am not sure
t1/2= log2/k , if u divide log2/12 u should get k for the first one
the formula should be able to get u the rest as well
Why is the Stigma higher than Stamens in most of the flowers?
can someone explain this question
I think it's a
I have no idea, i'm confused with A and B but it's definitely not C ):
Google says a
B is three phenyls connected together
No carbon atom in the middle
It says triphenylmethyl
Oh right, the line is a methyl, not a radical
I was confused about that
Welp, then it's d :p
Yeaa, thank youuu (:
Np!😊
well you just calculated moles of HCl
so divide that by the L of HCl you used to get molarity
and then v is just asking for the average of the 3 calculated molarities from iv
the data seems very unrealistic though because whoever did it was reproduced each titration perfectly down to the mL, lol
In some plants the style is shorter( if style is short then stigma will also be lower and vice versa). But in some others, it is longer than the stamens. This condition is called as Heterostyly. Heterostyly is the floral form with reciprocal differences in the length of the style and stamens to prevent self-fertilization.
i think its actually called Triphenylcarbenium.
can someone send the answer asap
@thorny gyro ur supposed to use experimental rate law expression for the first 2 questions
u need to create 2 rate law expressions from trials one and 2 respectively and check the change of concentration of A and B (one of them should be constant)
For clarity lets form a rate law eqn : R = K [A]^x [B]^y [C]^z
where x,y,z are the experimental orders and R is the inital rate
now put values of concentration of A B C in R from trial 1 and 2 and divide them
same for 3 and 4
u should get the values of x y and z
then put those values in any one of the equation to get K(which is the rate constant).so by now question a,b and d is done.
Now for overall rate of rxn(n), the formula is simply n =x +y+z
for the last one, it's pretty much the same deal, use the expression, in this case the value of K and xyz remains the same and find R.lmk if u need me to clarify anything
volume expansion at temperature T is 49x ..... . So when the new temperature is T+30C u need to find new value of volume n density and divide it with the initial density before increasing temperature.
ohkk thx
plz help me with the iupac name of this organic compound, this is one of my homework question

IF 2 opposite charges are fully submereged in a medium, wouldnt the net force increase. Doesnt it only increase when the charges are same like proton-proton and electron-electron
how is it a carbocation?
the carbon hasnt lost any electrons
Is the answer D?
The force becomes F/epsilon(or dielectric)
So F= 40N
Here goes the derivation @digital parrot
Yea I'm getting the same ans
I got 1.99N
To be precise
You have to convert cm to meter bruv
wot? Force is given bruh
what should I do next?
The answer is the last one, the element with the lowest amount is the limiting factor and no more than that may be produced. So the answer is 76.8 moles
okay thankyouu

The hint is big: 30 seconds on google leads you to find that a solid that is yellow when cold and brown when hot is solid_Y. Now you need to find how to get solid_Y by thermal decomposition of solid_X in a reaction that gives off CO2. After this, solid_Y is dissolved with HNO3, and then the cation from solid_Y forms a solid with Iodine, which you can confirm from a solubility table confirms the solid_Y cation
