20 minutes a day is nothing man. I think I can handle that.
im not promising antyhing but if u r desperate to stop md u can try
I will. Thank you.
Btw I can tell you are some strong guy thats actually able to gain a LOT of things but you are damaging yourself with your perfectionism
1 is greater than zero man. being able to overcome maladaptive daydreaming is a huge success for someone who is actually struggling with it.
dont set your standarts too high and I hope you will stop saying stuff like I'm lazy...
Lazy people dont even force themselves to learn this shit.
I know you will.
how to study productively while coping from a break up
I'm still searching for the answer to this question
I took a month for crying, doing other stuffs, seeing a lot of friends and doing sport. Honestly it helped
i don't have friends
lost everyone while being w him
timeblock! cry at night and in your dreams. Wake up feeling empty and fill yourself with study during morning timeblocks.
How do u guys get over doing the hardest task in the morning? i know what the task is, but just get so anxious about putting my mind on it. And it snowballs and messed up other tasks that i should do. I do everything in my power it actually tires me out than doing the actual tasks, ended up not getting it done and even more tired.
Probably a lot of meditation to deal with intrusive thoughts and feelings, and going no contact with the ex. Even then I'm not entirely sure if itd work, though you'll probably feel better at least.
Break task in SMALL tasks, SHORT period, do SLOW. Try to learn dont ever think about finish any task. Thats why short periods will help. Pass quicly.
- If you are now with a mountain , Cirle this. Task1 (samll, short, slow), task 2 (iden)
Task 3... Etc>
So you cicle back to task 1.
dont think about the finish job. Only 1 short task (breaked from the finished job).
if is too messup (big mountais). Break the montan usin pareto( Forget the mountain - now you want only 20% *the important part of each montain).
Your problem (most has this problem, until figure out) is thinking too much , think in the finished mountain you want to take it down.). Must learn stop this. Procrastination come from pain (lookin the montain). Learn to break the steps and focus on the step. if you finish on the top of mountain or the middle dont matter - but you gonna start to walk..
Get out the finished future task view. THis is the pain your brain want to avoid.
Needed this man, thank you
You wellcome.
How to create a custom room guys?
hello all guys I'm new here. I have a question please?
How do you manage to study for more than 5 hours without falling asleep for a while???
It happens to me all the time. No matter how hard I try to fight but nothing and if I struggle too much, I start rereading the same sentence 10 times?
do you have any tips?
wzg
honestly, I think its a physiological predisposition. it never bothered me to study for long periods of time, only my back hurt. Id just lie down on my bed for a couple of minutes and stretch. If we re talking about factors, I think a lot depends on ur routine. I mean, how much you sleep, how much u eat, how much time you spend on TikTok, and so on so on so on . Im talking about the fast-acting dopamine. pretty much it. but anyway this is just my opinion
usually I start studying constantly and in depth 2 or 3 weeks before my exams and I remove tiktok or any other temptations to avoid losing concentration. Usually I sleep around midnight. I'm not used to falling asleep early
I often take coffee to avoid going back to sleep. But it doesn't really work anymore. I need to take some in some form now. maybe 3 cups in 5 hours?
I'm thinking about switching to energy drinks to see if it's more powerful
what are you guys drinking to keep you awake?
I like drinking tea, not really a fan of coffee and energy drinks though cuz of the health effects (heart palpitations etc). You can try drinking tea (green/black/red tea). But the best way is to get sufficient sleep imho. Nothing beats a good night’s rest. Or you can consider taking interval naps too.
I assume that your tolerance of caffeine increased. And if you keep increasing your frequency of consuming caffeine, it will keep increasing too. So I suggest you to decrease the frequency and try to increase your sleep quality. By that, you will be healtier and maybe less sleepy. Idk what med people would think, this is my idea.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EUEB2wW2zA
maybe you can get the advantage of this tecnique. Basically, it is a noon sleep that you have just right after you drink a coffee.
English subtitles would work for you.
Your coffee isn’t that strong if 3 cups doesn’t do anything
Good coffee means 2 cups will have 400-500mg of caffeine
BRO WHAT???? one cup has approx 90-120 mg caffeine. 2 cups should have max 250mg.
What kind of sold-only-by-God coffee beans are you using?

200mg is typical for v60, it varies a lot by beans though
If you’re using burned beans like the ones Starbucks sells it’s not gonna have a lot
Speciality coffee with lighter roasts should be around 200mg

woo!
yeet

ayy new channel yay
For some reason when I use spotify & join a study room (muted & deafened), the spotify music blocks off.
I'm guessing it has to do with 2 audio components being used at the same time.
Would spotify work fine if I connected it to discord?
Great, more channels I need to mute
well i have it connected and depending on what device i use i have the same problem... so i just use another device or headphones (for some reason i have no problem then)
Aaaa my eyes are strained because of glasses
Should i switch over to contacts
Theyre kinda school related but help me if anyone knows if contacts are better
Thanks
i'm one of the first ones to speak on this channel. If you stalked, give it a like 😉
Hey guys! I’m new here
Pog
Welcome!
trying to download atomic habits but idk where its saved lmao, already downloaded it 5 times apparently (epub I think)
it is?
No procrastination allowed 😎
ngl thought you could just download it, makes a lot more sense tho
How do I get discord to be less distracting?
Like the moment I get on discord I can't get off it
uninstall
Install a very bad skin that you hate looking at
should I study things that ive already had tests on? i usually only do this when there is a final coming up but i have only had 1 final in my life because i only had one as a freshmen before corona hit and we havnt had finals since. I am now a sophomore and do very well in my classes and half at least 2 honors classes a trimester, but I don't ever study past units like in math because we still have no finals
i think you should because in two days i will be writing very important test from maths and there are a lot of things that i forgot and know i am trying to learn it again and it sucks
ive never really learned a proper way of studying so i always just do all the work given to me and do well on tests, but like theres no finals so i dont study past parts which probably isnt good
i think it would just come in handy sometime
yeah i feel like i should devote some time because I have time now, but i dont even know what I would do, I do all the work and homework and stuff given from class but like what would I do if i wanted to review all the past things I learned? ive had so little finals that I have no experience
well when i want to revise stuff we learned in the past i just google math problems for the thing you want to revise and if i dont know how to solve them i go on youtube because my teahers never help in theese situations
Write down or however way u like to track progress ur tasks. Each one, give them an hour to do depending on work load, take 10-20 breaks, get back to work once ur timer is done and set another hour to work. And most importantly put away all ur distractions like ur phone and be accountable. Dont feel bad if u fail, theres no point in dwelling on ur mistake and move on to doing what u need to do.
@meager idol thank you so much
but sometimes when i take a break i always want more and i waste my time
think of why ure doing what u do: get things done so u dont stress about it while procrastinating. It always feel like we dont have time cuz we keep putting stuff off while its looming in our mind that there is still work to do. What helps me is making sure I've checked off ALL my work off before I can finally rest. The breaks are just to breath and recollect. Not rly go on YouTube or social media. I know u can do it--u got this
You should keep your break times below 15 minutes, any more than that you lose your focus
https://youtube.com/watch?v=vOn2o5VxvZk&feature=share
Hey i would apreciate it if u could like my video. It's very amator but i wanted to try it 🙂
I hope you enjoyed it and we could learn more often together 🍀
My suggestion is find what works for you. For me, it takes a while to get started and concentrate. If I take a break, it takes time to recall what I was doing and get in the zone again. So I actually don't take short breaks - I try to ride the wave of concentration as much as possible, at least an hour but ideally longer. (If I'm watching a pomodoro, I'll ignore their breaks lol)
When I get tired, I take a long break for up to an hour. I don't feel guilty for long breaks and I try to do self care that will prepare me for a long study session again (eat a meal, take a shower, avoid social media).
If you think you have a real procrastination problem, I recommend this podcast episode - super interesting. https://www.alieward.com/ologies/procrastination. Maybe understanding why you procrastinate will help u find a solution that works for you.
This one works too lol. I like to do it better cuz it's just how I seem to function. Breaks are fine with me but going nonstop till I'm done all is better for some reason
@sage frigate I'm afraid you'll have to delete your message due to rule nº2
yay peace
Does anyone have a solution for neck pain? I was studying 10-14 hours for the last month or so but because of the neck pain I can't focus. I do some exercise and ~30 min walk everyday it feels ineffective.
anyone here take economics at a level preferably CIE? i need good essay plans written. will pay ! dm me
yea, as an art student that was one of my main and continuing problems, looking down at my desk at a 90 degree angle. I highly suggest getting a textbook holder and/or a laptop table so you can tilt it to be eye level with no neck strain. I would also take breaks around every 25 minutes for the first 2 weeks and increase it to every 30 minutes+ once your neck pain has subsided and you can handle it. do neck stretches specifically every time you take a break to help and walking around helps a bit
Thanks I'll try it
laptop stand really helps me a lot
guys i need advice
im about to study abroad
i got these options from the advisory
Austrlia, UK, Canada, and Singapore
and i want to learn finance
which place is best...?
hey everyone is it alright if any of u like my posts on IG (yeenteu)? it's for some minor subject in my university :(( its up to u if u want to leave a comment! really sorry for this stupid favor
appreciate u 💜
for undergrad anywhere is fine for any subject. for grad you should search the professors of each school.
this really depends on the uni. Like @covert sleet said, anywhere is usually good for undergrad. Depends on the culture and student environment youre most interested in! I'm currently in Australia doing uni, and many unis here are quite different from each other. You can do your own research about which country has the kind of culture/cities you're most interested in and then also look at universities with your course. I'm fairly sure most universities are ranked by academics, student satisfaction, emplyability, etc.
Best of luck!! This stage in your life sounds so exciting!
ok i will do that, thanks guys!
anyone here take economics at a level preferably CIE? i need good essay plans written. will pay !
so basically, in my anatomy and emergency procedures class, notes are required and i entirely forgot to take them over the content all year. (i usually study the provided powerpoints.) just spent 5 hours straight writing notes and i’m not even halfway done. does anyone have any tips on how i can get them finished faster?
hey
write the stuff like you would in texts, abbreviate thngs and only write things that you think are important or that you yourself need to remember ( stuff that you're likely to forget), unless this is a class where the teacher wants you to write notes on everything important and to write legibly (which I feel is kinda pointless - that's not exctly what notes and notetaking is for)
they’re graded on neatness, proper grammar and quantity. i don’t think that it’s really about retaining the information, but instead just proving that we watched her endless lectures lmao.
Use only the website app on the computer, and block it with forest chrome add-on while studying etc
hello how should i prepair my mentality on something big in my life any tips
Can some please provide me with PDF of Vikas Gupta Coordinate Geometry for JEE? Please help.
Hey do how i can join zoom and studing with james ??
hi, im just buying a new mouse for gaming and daily stuffs, i just cant descide and want to ask here. One of my options is Glorius Model O and the other one is Deathadder elite. Which one should i choose?
I think you should ask on #tech-related-help , but I will answer it anyway. What grip do you use? Palm?
What's the size of your hand?
oh i just dont know #tech-related-help exits
im palm grip and medium hand size
And what's your budget?
i can afford both
I'd go for the deathadder v2 probably for palm if it fits your budget
DA Elite is outdated
I have the deathadder elite v2 and it's pretty good
is Glorius model o not good for palm grip or something? my friends say glorius is better and actually i need something light
its not available at my country
Its not and it's kinda overpriced
It's really not worth it for MSRP unless you're Minecraft 1.8 PvP player
And it's not for palm
so i think i will go for elite
@brisk oracle I have finance books if you want them. The Richest Man in Bablyon is the best book written on finance and should be a must read for everyone.
@solid cipher If yo uare still wondering what to get, I have been using a Logitech G502 and i love it, great handfeel and not to many buttons
I used it before but its good for my hands tho
Idk why i buy it bcs its good for palm but i dont like it when i use it for long time
ive been using Logitech G102, really cheap and good price-performance ratio
I will take a look
I think ive read this before but thank you
check out the orochi v2 b razer too , it just launched this week and is affordable and has a long battery life
i will take a look, thanks
Why not v2?
i like the elite's side parts (rubber)
Does anyone do any form electronic communication engineering if so i need to ask a few questions
Hey guys.
When you have like 5 hours of study, do you prefer to tackle it using all this time to studying only one subject? or it better for you to divide your time among the subjects you gotta study (like, one hour each)?
I would study each subject for an hour.. But personally I would spend more time out of the 5 hours on the hardest subjects and lesser time on the easier ones
I like that approach, guess i'll try it for the next week. ty
The work expands to the time you give it.
If you only want the basics, try YouTube
hey guys i jus want to know how to see stream via discord of james

does anyone know efficient ways of improving in a language, when I have the basics
i have a question abt this one
Reading, watching yt in a language you learn
yes ?
Is it asking if you bought something clicking on ad?
yes also it means that you desire to purchase something after see that ad and you bought it
thanks!
oh icic
no problem!
It depends on the language and on the amount of basics. I think just consuming a lot of media in the particular language is very good
That can often help you improve from A2-B1 to B2
Since it will increase your word count and sentence structure
i'm A2-B1 so yeah
Yeah, if you have the grammar down fairly well I would suggest start consuming in the target language
done
Also chatting and talking in the target language is very helpfull since it will help your brain process it and after a while makeyou less tired
I used to be tired after a lot of english reading/writing but now I can live in english for months at a time (I have actually done this) without getting more tired then my native language
mm it depends too. Consuming content helped me better understand grammar and structure
thank you @mint musk
of course!
Yeah it definitely heps with that cause you come across (new) sentence/grammar structures a
Even if you don't consciously learn them you will subconsciously still remember them and use them
agreed🤝
agreed that's exactly what i did with english, it helped a lot
Oh ad from personal experience, don't compare learning english to another language
at least not in the media compartment
that's why i'm asking for spanish for other ways, i'm not comparing
Imo it is very easy to eat, breath, live in English while it is much harder for other languages if you don't live in that country. You have to (actively) seek out communities/media that use your target language
Thank you @sharp wolf
sure
I filled it in as well, I am curious tho. Whatsapp is not a social media?
whattsapp is a Social media ... In India
it is a social media i think
I mean it is litearlly a messaging service in my eyes
I would feel like whatsapp just replaces text messages
at least in my country/europe it does
noone really uses the whole story stuff
WhatsApp is a messaging app, just like Messenger, Telegram, LINE

If you have any questions about economics, please let me know.
- Please tell us who is the price taker in the race market and when it will be decided.
- If the cost curve is reversed, what will the shape of the cost curve be when the supply is low and high?
- In the basic race market model using a downward-sloping demand curve and an upward-sloping supply curve, incorporating and raising the minimum wage can lead to inefficiencies. Answer what mechanism creates that possibility.
I think my English is inadequate and wrong, but I would be grateful if you could answer.
hey new guy here just wanted to make myself a better learner and i realised taking effective notes is the essential part of it can you guys give me any leads ? or do we have a section to discuss this
Hello ^^
You’re right. Note taking is extremely important. I usually use the flashcard method but without the cards, just with a regular paper. I use arrows to indicate the “sides” of the flashcards. For example:
|-one side
|-and another
| - |
|---|
I hope you understood and sorry I’m not a good explainer.
Is anki, any good for a igcse student, i do 9 different subjects, and setting up flashcards respectfully for each is a rather extreme task, would the benefit of setting up an anki for each, help me get higher grades, or should i just continue doing active recall, quizzes and past paper questions?
have anyone here studied about conic section??
Is there a way to add the pomodo bot to other study rooms?
#838059508957315112 you can ask the mods
Trying to get into studying every day as someone who never studied a day in his life up to this point, doing everything minutes before they're due to hand in. Any advice on building the habit of studying at least for a few hours a day?
i'm still working on my study habits bc i just got back from a break so im also getting back into studying. i recommend the pomodoro method but work for even shorter times so i can rebuild my "studying stamina". i'm starting with 15 minute work periods in the afternoon and then 25 minute work periods later in the night, all with 5 minute breaks.
Hello everyone, I want to go to university in Austria. If there is someone who is currently studying in Austria at the university, please write to me, I have questions about admission. Hey everyone:) I've been really interested in this podcast recently and thought you'd all appreciate it -
Andrew Huberman, Prof of Neurobiology and Ophthalmology at Stanford School of Medicine - posts on spotify, youtube, apple podcasts etc.
He really bridges the gap between science and practical tools for a variety of life enhancing things, like motivation, sleep, focus, hormones etc. It's truly incredible how much information he's giving out completely for free - check this one out, it's brilliant (among many others):
thought this comes under help with school work more than other areas but apologies if it's misplaced xo
actually nah this definitely belongs more in general, mb
Hey
@fringe mesa yes I have
how to study things that you dont like??(like inorganic chemistry)
Anyone got some good tips on how to write a study guide for a history exam? 😊
why all the rooms are full
I think it's because people are studying alongside james. I'm having trouble to join one as well 😅
oh 😭
anyone looking for an early morning study partner so that we can help/force each other to get out of bed and actually start working? I'm in the west-european timezone and would like to start at 7 am
Hmm
no
Howdy, does anyone use an iPad for note taking? which apps do you recommend, or just the general notes app?
there are plenty notebooks apps in app store /u can download any >or simply notes is also preferable
i hate that you can't zoom in on the notes app
resources for Numpy studying?
Hey, how is this site called, that shows you how long to learn and when to pause?
https://pomofocus.io
this maybe
yessss thanks
I'd love to 😁
I'm in the central-european timezone. I believe I'm an hour behind, if I remember correctly
which topic?
history (mesopotamia, egypt, ancient greece)
It's for a university course and the study matter is quite detailed, so I'm feeling a little overwhelmed 😅
Generally, try to break it down into smaller, easier pieces. So start with mesopotamia (break this down into pre-history, geography, culture, society etc.) then egypt and so on.
follow the structure your syllabus uses
there's a reason why a syllabus is there, and it's to provide a structured timeline for the history you're taking
unless it's just random timelines compiled together
franz ferdinand was the archduke of austria-hungary and was shot in sarajevo
@weak lily by the black hand right?
@weak lily thank you
you're welcome 😊
Yeah, I'll do that. That sounds like a good way to tackle this, thank you 😊
um hiya!! idk if this technically school-related but no one in general responded :(( but does anyone have advice for someone who’s suffering with severe burnout and possibly depression but needs to get their shit together for mock exams (which are a big deal cause of Covid) in a month.
It's a bit random. My professor doesn't really have a system or structure 😅
OH WAIT SOME NICE PEOPLE RESPONDED IN GENERAL YAY
tbh id recommend doing some exercise everyday even if it's very light but dedicate an hour a day it'll change your head space and kind of reset your mood/productivity
mhm!! I tried doing that when I wasn’t depressed and more just burnt out/tired but on top of things. Haha I did 3 runs a week (ranging from 5-10km). Unfortunately it just made me stressed because of how it broke up my schedule and how painful it was after :(( but thank you so much for the advice! I might try walking or something else that’s lighter :))
thank you!!
hmm maybe you could do something at home and that's quick so you don't feel like you're cutting up your schedule. Meditation/drawing/journaling/gardening anything really as long as it forces you to take your mind off studying. You have to have a work/life balance if you want to avoid burnout
yeah i think i'll try that :)) i just need to find something that doesn't exhaust me now hbdkjsbikxdugb thank you :)))
any1 from india who just started grade 12? i really need help pls dm
@weak lily cool! can you send me a private message?
@quartz girder I'm from the Netherlands 🙂
sure^^
does anybody know how to analyze a poem and write an entire essay for a stanza
Oh man i forgot im sorry
Sorry I had really bad grades with those type of exercises x)
hey i would be interested🙌
you probably need to see what "lenses" you have gone over in class and apply them to the stanzas
i love how positive everyone is
she sort of just assigned us an Emily Dickinson poem and said you have to have a 40 minute analysis presentation
@sterile jewel 40minutes? Jesus

Hey has anyone here read deep work by cal newport?
Which eReader do you use
If I’m buying books Apple Books, if I use my library they have a number of apps they use none are publicly available tho.
what part do u need help with?
Before/during studying, how do y'all let go of figuring out the exact right thing to study, or the perfect way to take notes, or stuff like that. I always get a headache because I feel like I can't get past that portion even though it's so insignificant
When college isn't in session, it's so hard for me to study/work on my own because I just get stuck in an infinite loop on the what-to-do stage and I don't want that to happen this summer
You decide way before that
Honestly I also don't study strategically its just intuitive
@vague badger I would look at a general overview of the topic you are wanting to study and find which things you are still most confused on
also could anyone possibly help me develop a thesis statement for a
research paper? I legitimately have the entire paper written minus an intro and conclusion I am just having issues figuring out my thesis because I veered away slightly from my previous ones I was working with
@vague badger for me personally it sometimes helps to look at a book on your topic (maybe even a recomended one) and see how many topics there are or in which order they are organized. Sometimes you can figure out the context of everything and figure it is best to learn the basics first instead of focusing on small things...thats what I usually do 🙂 you could also gather questions specifically before a lecture and try to answer them while in the lecture so you focus more and try to connect stuff. Its also very good have recorded lectures and rewatch them when your school does that.
where is server invite code
guys i study computer engineering i wud like some notes(handwritten is better) for the topic Computer Networks – I
does anyone know if when you get your uni offer and you just need to get your grades, if they will allow UCAS points instead of specific grades: for example, I need BBB but I can get A*, A, C so would the one C mess me up?
Anyone have good books from the 20th century regarding geology, geomorphology and just any earth-science, or biology/chemistry/physics/mathematics? Thanks! 🙂
How do you guys cope with the stress of having to achieve?
Good question! I'm still struggling on that one myself, however it is important to know why you're doing what you're doing. You're not supposed to owe anyone anything.
If you don't have an aim, or you feel like society tramples you, that means you're a bit aimless. For when you find yourself an aim, no one usually will be able to interfere, only you yourself. Don't do it for the grades. No one cares about those. Do it for the sake of self-development and further growth. That's...pretty much it, I guess. A grade shouldn't be the goal, but the inevitable consequence of your hard work. If the grade becomes the goal, the quality of what you learn goes down.
That's actually really insightful.
The reward for learning French in school, should be so you can enjoy and use French. Not a grade. Because if the grade becomes the goal, you won't truly learn French.
I had felt a decline in the interest of the work. Mostly because of an idea that I had to achieve a certain grade to matter.
To myself most of all.
As if you'll ever use a grade as the reward for your course in French in the future. Hah! Despicable.
Don't make the grade the goal.
That is a dangerous practice.
I guess it is.
Something to keep in mind: WRITE DOWN WHY YOU"RE DOING WHAT YOURE DOING.
That way, you remind yourself every time of what matters to you.
Thanks man
I have a glass-marker which I use to remind myself why I want to do what I want to do. I write it on the mirrors in my room, just so I won't forget it.
Because overthinking clouds the mind and productivity.
Sure does
See your decline in work as a healthy response to your unhealthy practice. 😉
Even your body dislikes doing it for a grade. What much else do you need as an indication? 😉
Try to truly understand what the course material is. It's not about knowing facts and reproduction. Even though that is what school ultimately is.
You'll see yourself that when you truly try to find the core of the matter, you're overall understanding of the subject, and your connection/love for it has increased manifold!
Because, on the path of true knowledge, you're bound to find things no one else taught you. You discovered them. That excitement, that's what makes you go further.
Thanks for the words. They were helpful.
For instance, I hated math in high school and basic school. But I befriended a professor at the TU in Delft, who taught me mathematics on a very deep level. I started to see a picture form in front of me. Several concepts of mathematics started to unfold in front of my very eyes. If that does not amaze people.... No thanks, Frederik! Just keep it up! Remember why you're doing it. WRITE it down. Don't keep it inside your head. Your head clouds, but paper doesn't! I'd wish you good luck, but that' be bad practice. I wish you a great working day to come! 🙂 Let the sky be our limits (or even further, deeper in the cosmos?)!
@cyan niche dutch is goated
And the best of luck to you in whatever you are pursuing. May you wake up happy and better than the day before.
Thanks!
Goated, as in...deemed greatest of all time? 😉
I have!
also what i think is important to remind yourself is that, if you really wanna achieve something, you will achieve it, the only thing you need is perseverance ! (that is why as said before, you need to know why you're doing what you're doing)
try different ways of learning/doing the things you want to achieve, learn to experiment, learn that it's okay to fail, and learn that failing is actually a really good way to improve because it forces you to analyze where things went wrong, whereas if you always succeed, you don't actually know why you do
Can confirm! In chess, it is also better practice to lose (not on purpose, of course). For if you find opponents which are weaker than you, you'll tend to beat them every single time, but...have you truly learned anything? By competing with stronger players, you'll immediately see where you'll be lacking! 😉
to be fair, i think chess is a very interesting way of learning to make good habits because you can't actually REALLY get better if you don't study, and try to learn from your mistakes, etc.... this way, it teaches you how to be patient, observant, to think outside the box, well quite a lot of things that helps being consistent with your habits !
i don't think i have to achieve
it's just that i want to achieve
i don't think of it as like a forced thing but something i truly want to do
like do i really wanna be so mediocre no name dude that dies and gets written
"loving individual of society"
yeah i see, it's more a need to achieve by fear rather than by true "motivation" ? is it ?
i think the other way around
i'm not afraid of dying and being a no name
it's just that i dislike the idea of it
Oh yes, I've practiced chess for almost 10 years now, and I agree a 100%. The idea is to get deep, very, VERY deep. At some point, you transcend the simplicity of ' Oh, I know how to move the pieces', and a whole new dimension opens up.
Well then, I'll be taking my leave from the chat for now; I need to practice some chess! 😉
yeah i see, i probably didn't use the right term but i see what you're trying to say, anyway, i guess it can still be a great way to get motivated to get some work done,
well i've only been studying chess for a year now, so i'm no grandmaster or anything but i do feel what you're explaining though ! been there and it was really interesting to get that feeling of transcendance ! (also, goodbye !)
Cheers! Only Magnus Carlsen is the limit for now! Hopefully I'll beat Yasser Seirawan someday, or my buddy Anish Giri. 😛
The thing is about failure, at least for me, is that it feels less bad each time it happens. I kinda learned that failure is not as scary as it seems.
anyone got a good ambient sound playlist
was it good? im plannign to get it
yeah, I definitely enjoyed it! I think many productivity or self-help books can get bogged down expressing the same idea in a multitude of ways, but I believe Deep Work mostly avoids that! If you'd like, I can send you the notes I took on the book, too.
can anyone help me w my essay

heya! if you still need help w/ poem analysis I can help :)) I'm not at a super high-level of education (still in high school) but I'm studying poetry currently in english language and would be willing to give a few tips :DDD
i cant seem to understand what im doing wrong i am tasked to "assign an IP address to subnet 1 to the R3 interface connected to the Office3network." then do the same with subnet 2 and office2network. i assigned the IP address(172.16.10.1/24) to gig0/0 but when i try to assign a IP address(172.16.10.33/24) to gig0/1 i get a syntax error "172.16.10.0 overlaps with gig0/0" anyone can assist me?
what help do you need?
Hello, I just wanted to ask for a peice of advice since I always end up getting bored while studying especially when I'm memorizing chapters
I can't study without getting bored and I end up quiting,I've already tried music but listening to music while trying to memorize lessons isnt that effective
If I can’t listen to music, I put some rain sounds in the background whilst studying.
I suggest you try that or reward yourself at the end of each study session to keep yourself going.
Sorry, I am just seeing this, I ended up finishing it and it was in fact not fun at all
going to a new environment helps me, libraries, cafe and etc
are you given the IP address of 172.16.10.0/24 to R3 right? wouldn't the switches have a subnet of /29 with 32 subnets and 6 hosts?
if not i think an IP address of 172.16.10.6 would work for R3 g0/1 🤔
which cisco lab is that?
its a project for school. im given 172.16.10.0/24 and have to create 8 subnets... sorry i got distracted lol
Do you guys think mechanical engineering questions for science-help or tech-related-help?
try both
Cool
hm if you subnet /24 the g0/0 should be 172.16.10.1
switch vlan should be 2 and the pc and servers should get 3, 4, 5...
did i calculate the subnetting wrong?
shouldnt taht be 32?
and yea g0/0 is 172.16.10.1
works?
damn
i appreciate your help man @karmic sand i will not give up !
tbh ill even try 2
im used to subnetting stuff like this
i have not played around subnetting /24
cause ik if you have a /24 the first address wil always be 172.16.10.1 and the last should be 172.16.10.254 while 172.16.10.255 the broadcast
ahh i see.. a point to point connection
may i ask how you configured those two switches to the router?
yeah have you tried putting switch 2 as 172.16.10.6?
@astral remnant
or 172.16.10.2
results @astral remnant ?
im going to try and change the ports
ima use the gig ports closest to the switches
actually i cant do that lol i have to use subnet 1 for switch office 3 according to the lab
i have a feeling that you need to use /29 subnets i ahve no idea why
wait no /30
wait no
@astral remnant try 172.16.11.1 for g0/1
since its /24
it only affects 172.16.10
and then you will use the available ip address of the 10.2, 10.3... and 11.2, 11.3... with the PC's and servers
big brain fart lmao
if the subnet was either /25 - /30
then it would work
now you can finish 👍
so lets say there was two more switches with the same networks. would those two be 172.168.12.1 and 172.168.13.1 ? sorry to keep bothering you i just want to understand @karmic sand
yo good looks i really appreciate it @karmic sand
np
sorry it took a while to remember
i just went through my notes and was like 💡
finished my network course this term might help you out
idk if you are in advance networking or something lol
nah im in fundamental networking i just started the networking module two months ago

I wouldnt want to check on some website that just takes it and then my uni checker thinks i copied the whole thing from their website or soemthing
Do not worry it won't happen
Do check on multiple ones though since they don't all have the same source database
well i think im probably fine then
Can anyone help me with some python syntax quickly?
Hello ...I am from India ..and I am reading in class 10...my exams are in 9 months....I am studying 8hrs a day...is it enough to obtain good grades?...my age is 16yrs
are you from icse
Yes
Oh thanks....I want to be in top 10 in national....I aspire to become an astrophysicist
🤯 good luck with that
You really shouldn't be focusing on the number of hours. How much progress you have main in a day should be a better indicator. Just make sure you aren't forgetting what you learnt previously. That's what I can tell you personally if you sit in front of a book for a really long time
I study 30 minutes a day or less, I’m doing pretty decently well, I see people like you guys doing a lot of hours and I aspire to be like you but games are very distracting especially when you’re tired and bored. Maybe right now things are easy so I want to build up habits for the up coming years
14 y.o. btw
You probably study so little primarily because of a lack of urgency and possibly motivation. The way I built up strong habits was my ability to scare myself half to death when it came to deadlines. As you get older, exams become more important and your future rears it's head round the corner, so if you want to build up habits right now, find motivation in the form of an ultimate end goal, whether that be finish top of your class, get into your dream uni or whatever, you need to find a larger goal to work towards. As you get older, stress also becomes even more of a player when it comes to study habits, you just need to learn to regulate and control it. Use stress as an extra motivator rather than a scary concept that stops you from working. Stay vigilant and try to study as much as possible when you're in school. You're young so your lunch breaks and stuff can be used towards studying. You'll already be in an environment entirely associated with work, so it is the best starting point, after a little bit of time you'll need your breaks (getting older means more tiring work) so you can just start studying at home. That's all I have to say for the motivation side of it. When it comes to technique I can't really help you unless I know what you're studying, but it's a process of trial and error in my experience. When I used to study history and literature I would sit down for a good few hours and just rewrite all the notes I could find, which worked. For the sciences I would right small, compact notes only containing the majorly important stuff, etc. That's some of my input on your situation, have a nice day.
hello, I'm currently a year away from finishing high school yet I'm still undecided and uncertain on what I should take for college. any advice?
easy. take wot u love and if ur not interested in college dont.
if its possible, look into taking your first one or two years at a community college to save money and knock out gen ed requirements while you figure out what you want to study
I suggest setting a time where you're supposed to only study, nothing else, and then commiting to that time. Turn off or keep your phone away during this time, work for f.ex 1 or 2 hours and then take a break for maybe 15 minutes, then start working again. Don't do anything else other than working when you work, if you think of something you need to remember to do, then write it down somewhere and continue studying. Then when you've studied enough for the day you can do the things you wrote down, and then take time off with a good conscience to play games etc.
If you find yourself not able to focus the entire session, then break them down into shorter ones, and maybe have an extra session instead. Your focus can be built up like your muscles can, so it's okay if you struggle with long stretches in the beginning as long as you don't stop trying. You're also a teenager, so remember to take care of your mental health too, it's important!
can someone explain me the concept of the forest thing everyone goes off about in the chat - i heard its a pomodoro thing tracking ur concentration
u mean the extenction??
i guess?!
download the extenction and use it
do you guys use it via laptop or phone? i just found an app in the store for 2,29
It's an app u use on your smartphone, that you set a time that you're not gonna use it, like one hour, and the app will "plant" a tree for you, if you close the app, the tree will (die ?? i guess).
but the extension's better
why is it better ? i have struggle not usng mxy phone - whats good about the extension?
well big screen and multitasking
as i said try it and u will get it
try on both platforms
are they interoperable?!
wot does that mean my dear friend
i figured it out
so if i start the timer on my phone it will automatically also go of on my laptop
that might change my life guys honestly xD
if on same account like spotify remote
interoperability means exactly that btw
it will change ur life if u get distarcted easily
no doubt sherlock
better alternative for shaolin training of focus
thanks for hlping out
no prob
Hey guys, maybe there is someone who is studying IB program and coud help me choosing subjects. Would really appreciate it 🙂
Hey is there anyone who have studied or is studying O levels and can you help on on what I should mainly focus on ?
I also want to start a routine so much and devote a lot of hours to studying - but for 18 years of my life I have ignored science and school, so I don't know where exactly to take topics from some field (e.g. maths, physics, geography etc) - in short - I don't know what i could learn. Could someone help with this? I know this is a stupid question, but I really need some help.
Thank u
Anyone need helps in chemistry?
Organic
Physical
Or inorganic chemistry
Ask me
Is anyone here in law school in the US?
can anyone explain me the KNN algorithm from scratch or better program it from scratch in python only with numpy?
(k-nearest neighbor)
is anyone taking ap lit tomorrow?
@idle lintel Yeah the idea of KNN is to classify a point/data based on what the majority of its neighbors are. To determine how many neighbors to look at we use K. This might be useful regarding how to code it in python depending on what dataset you're looking at: https://realpython.com/knn-python/
An example of KNN is like if we want to let's say determine if a point is blue or red. Lets say K is 5 so we look at its 5 closest neighbors and if the majority of them is red, then the point we classify it as red. If the majority is blue, then we classify it as blue (Aka 3+ neighbors are that color)
this is a impressive documentation - thank you so much jess - im currently in my first semester of informatics in my masters trying to wrap my head around Machine Learning and maths
yeah i got the idea of the algo just the implementation part is tricky since i lack fundamentals
Haha no worries, I just took AI this semester 🙂 so it's still fresh in my head
What dataset are you implementing it on?
X, Y = datasets.make_moons(n, noise=0.25, random_state=1234) from scipy datasets
Here is another one that might be helpful for developing it from scratch: https://machinelearningmastery.com/tutorial-to-implement-k-nearest-neighbors-in-python-from-scratch/
i saw this one already
Are you doing the KNN classification or regression?
Ok good classification is a lot easier
Hii everyone! Studying chemical engineering. Does someone know a good app/webpage to take notes? I've been using Goodnotes on iPad, but sometimes I prefer to use pc and I need something that have accessibility for both. Tried OneNote but its kinda basic for me I guess. Any recomendation? 🖤
yeah i saw that with regression u need to take the average of the numbers of k
Heyo ,does anyone know what app he uses to track streaks ?Just cant find it on internet.
its called heatmap its a plugin for anki
Okay ,tnx
@wheat pier for my purpose is 'notion' quite good because you can also use LATEX with it
Can you handwrite with an iPad on Notion?
actually i dont know but for that i just use OneNote
OneNote its a bit basic for me 😦 thanks anyways!!
is this allowed?! lol
it does say no advertising in #723133783573921852 2)
go to #useful-links and check Code Academy, I think is great
thanks!
if you read in ru I can send you my learning plan python backend
im trying to learn python over the summer
I thought u from SNG countrys, because TARAKAN in russian mean cockroach)
it does!!! i am russian and i can read and speak it to an extent
where are u from?
you live in russia or dif country?
How do yall study theory subjects
I find myself to be a practical learner, and I often have trouble with anything that I cant learn from experience
any theoretical subjects was created because of a practical mechanic, so if you find the origin, youll see that the theory is not as bad as it seems
or at least for me it is
That doesnt really apply to all subjects unfortunetly
I was just wondering about
The process of studying
there is one good rule -if u want to learn something, try explain it simple as you understand
@still loom dif :)) i live in belgium
@young umbra Room de de konuşuyorlar ve Ingilizce küfür var ? Ne yapsak
geldim
Hi, can someone help me to learn speak english please?
what do you need help with? 🙂
I need to learn a little of grammar and pronunciation. 🙂
not really, I have to help myself with the translator for grammar
I think tarakan didn't see your message , you should write her.
OK thanks friend
anyone doing the sat subject test?
what's anki
Hey everyone! 😸
I am currently really struggling to get up early in the mornings since I have nowhere to go…
That is why I am looking for an accountability partner. I was thinking that we could agree on a specific time in the morning (I am flexible, but it should definitely not be after 8 AM) and call the other person.
One more thing: I live in Germany, so for practicality you should live in a similar time zone.
If you struggle with this too, please feel free to message me and we can exchange numbers 😎
I struggle with the same thing, but im from Brazil lmao, the time zone is really different
@blissful harbor It's an app to create flashcards
Guys I am struggling with anxiety, I need help. Basically I have no problem in waking up early and learning around 10-12 hours a day. But I get really anxious at nights before sleep.
And sometimes I get anxious while studying. It really holds me down from doing my best
its a spaced repetition flashcard app you can use on your computer or your phone
And also I barely get good sleep. I think I am anxious about the next day
Any tips?
I have been suffering for this, for like the past thre months, I have also taken medications and visited a doctor couple times. It helps when I don't study. But when I study, the anxiety hits in
Mention me, if you got any solution. Thanks
hey have you ever tried to meditate? or something along those line, things like this really help whether it is breathing exercises, colouring or anything you find relaxing. you can try doing something for 30ish mins before going to sleep and it normally helps.
I do meditate 20 minutes a day. 10 minutes in the morning and 10 before sleep. I also run for like 30 minutes (I heard it helps)
But they didn't work out for me.
i cant really say much about running since I havent tried it (i dont lrlly like running), i rely on working out to help me feel better (physically and mentally) but try doing something else that you genuinley enjoy so that you can take your mind off of everything in your surroundings
I watched almost every single Youtube Video related to this. Tried all of them. So I thought, maybe someone with a similar experience could help.
Yeah, that's a good point. I don't really do something that I genuinely enjoy. I will consider that
personally, youtube videos havent helped me, although meds and spending time doing what i liked helped.
Oh okay. So you had this problem too?
you can try learning a new skill - not something you will get frustrated learning though. I started learning how to play the guitar which can be tricky but I like it so i think thats helping
yes, kind of. ive have anxiety for a while
Ummm. Thanks for your time and response
no problem! but i highly suggest spending time doing something you like even if its for 10 mins a day
canada, wbu?
India :)
ahh thats cool, im Indian tho
Oh lol.
i normally work myself out until i am tired and then i just lay on my bed and i don't really reflect on anything or think about anything
i have this one friend and he works out before he goes to bed so he gets super tired before bed
I thought about doing that. But I searched about it on Youtube, and they said working out or running before sleeping is not good.
Hey! I dealt with anxious thoughts, jitters, and body aches due to being restless mind-last year. I thought what helped me was to be mindful in everything I do and really listen to my body - breaks, even long ones, are important to make sure your body and mind are still ok! Long walks help (for me sometimes even 3-4 hours at time), changing my diet and sleeping pattern were also very practical changes that helped!
Wow. 3-4 hours of walk? How do you manage to study then?
OOO and shutting off social media. Very cliche advice but it really helped with feeling overwhelmed
I don't even use social media lol. I am a lonely guy.
I usually go right when I wake up - I tend to study, at least for how my schedule was last term, at noon and evening, so I managed to balance everything
I use discord like after 4 years or so. I thought maybe speaking to people with similar mindsets would help
That might have to change now lol
Definitely! Reaching out is the first step
You mean about the lonely part?
Sure is
nono I meant about my schedule, sorry didn't mean to send it right then hehe
hope it works out! also, don't be too hard on yourself! working in times like this is like 10 times harder than usual, so allow some room for mess-ups and struggles, you'll be just fine at the end of it all 🙂
Thank you. It was nice speaking to you
Of course!
Hello I am new to this application can anyone explain to me how to work with it please!
Each channel serves some purpose. Look into it
You will learn to use by yourself as time goes by
Make sure read the #723133783573921852
Well thank you very much for the help 🌹
me
how to remember the valency table?
hello
how the hell do yall stay motivated to study for a long time
@short thistle I can't really point out exactly why. However, I always feel refreshed and happy whenever my study sessions are finished. When all the pressure is gone, you can pretty much do everything else with enthusiasm.
studying with people holding me accountable is one of the things that helped me a lot
whether they're watching me do schoolwork or my friends are telling me to do my schoolwork
You don't have a problem like that when you're driven. But if you are not driven, maybe watch motivational videos everytime before you study
after a lil bet you get into the flow state, it turns into habit after a while so it's easy. definately hard at first, just need to keep it up
What are some good resources for GRE preparation?
The more questions u solve related to valency, more the valency no.s will come naturally to you.
Few things I did:
-
Memorized the periodic table which helped me remember the elements and their atomic no.s, that way I calculated the valency
-
Made a list of valencies of common elements and taped it near my study table
Hope that helps! Good luck!
I need help from a Marketing Strategist
Is anyone here
What do they really do
Anyone here animation designer
Or something skillfull
?
If you are talking about general business marketing online/offline, there are many resources on the internet to help you with that.
@young umbra Actually I was appointed on this post in NGO
I wish someone could guide me if he has experience in this
I have already Googled it
Point is I need to know how should I change those strategy for. My NGO
As we can't use funds initially
Guys any tips on how to stay focused? My mind just randomly switches to thinking about other stuff when Im studying
Ah for a non profit. Yea, I have no expertise in this area
how to study topics that you don't like ??(like inorganic chemistry)
just jump in
at first you'll struggle but with a good drive, you'll eventually make it to the zone
Inorganic is bit boring but it one of most factual study
I love it
You should also
Try ask as many questions to your friends
It will help you to sustain memory
@ocean hamlet
thanks i'll try

i can see if she can help?
@gilded pumice

yeah i’d help!!
just dm me and i’ll let u know asap
how do you do todo stuff?
Guys idk how to deal with even BASIC chemical reactions..........how do you learn that thingy ? Any tips would be appreciated
Search on Youtube bro.
Do you know how to check your screen time on your phone? yes / no, I just need information if YOU know how to do it, not asking this just because I don't know how to. I guess react with a y / n
I started with a bunch of used GRE books that I collected for cheap from other students. Then I bought my own Princeton Review book and that was the most helpful - the practice questions are harder which helps if you're trying to get a very high score in a certain subject.
possible sticker?
u should put this in #838053642794958858
any teachers-to-be-here who want to talk a bit about their experiences with teaching and lesson planning? 😊

hey, i keep falling asleep when i sit down to read over stuff, any advice?
Its right there in your name
In China there are some students who walk while reading
You could also open a window to make it colder, stand up instead of sitting, sit on a nail or something
maybe like reward yourself w a piece of candy every page or so, so you have smth to look forward to in order to stay awake
sit on a nail?!
Or in the long term try to do something about your sleep rhythm
Wouldn't advice eating that much candy
Ye bro aint falling asleep with a nail in your cheeks
true, maybe fruit?
have you tried this method
oh audio books are good if they're available for whatever you're reading
mmm not really
not an audio learner?
do some exercise
they're notes related to the BNF, pharmacist registration exam
oh I see
what do you study?
can anybody help me prepare for my graduation speech audition
me?
mhm
rn I'm studying APUSH stuff cause my exam is tomorrow
sorry for disturbing you :p goodluck
lolol it's oki I'm taking a break rn
I just had a zoom call for like an hour w my teacher reviewing stuff
I'm gonna study more later after I eat
so you wanna be a pharmacist?
yeahhh i mean, i'm at the end now, just 3 months and if i pass i`ll be one
what are you doing for university?
aye good for u
im only a junior now
but for college I'll prolly major in marketing or smth
anything in STEM is a hard pass for me lol
yeah lolol
like I get good grades
but I could never do that as a career
esp med or smth
i think anyone thats driven to do it can, unfortunately i'm having difficulty at the end of mine
thanks-
mhm ofc
that injected me with a lotta fuel
poop
I dont eat candy
I meant the nail
Oh yeah
The nail trick works well
The quicker you learn the subject, the faster you dont have to sit on a nail
Big brain stuff yaknow
big brain but also big hole because of the nail
what is the pomodoro app ?
hii
anybody law students in chat?
can anyone gift me free nitro?
Yes
Just send me your credit card information, with the 3 secret numbers on the back 😊
^^
what do you think McIntosh means when she writes that admitting white privilege means giving up “the myth of meritocracy”?
hlp pls :)))
I'm talking out of my ass here tbh but i would guess that it would give up the idea that all a person's achievements are "deserved" ig, as a result of hard work. When you admit white privileges you might have to also admit that you have gotten where you are today partly because of that privilege, and not only your own skills and hard work.
But also I've never read the book or know who this person is lmao, it's just how I would interpret that quote out of context as a random person
Turn your volume to 0
i have to use the computer : (
Lmao just put discord’s volume to 0

might turn these off to if someone streams their screens and what not
Tysm god bless u

it depends on what you're studying but there are some links in #useful-links!
does anyone have a good notion template ? (for daily use)
it's really up to what you need specifically!! i suggest watching yt notion tours cause that's how i kinda got an idea for my notion setup
but i also just use the regular notion templates

Uhhhhhhhhh so I have a life related question, just asking , what is being successful in life means to you ? Like what is that you do and then say yes I became successful?
Just earning huge amount of money?
depends on one's perspective on life , usually it's achieving 'happiness'
being happy and not having to worry about necessities like healthcare, food and safety (including family)
some consider moving from their town a success
some consider being healthy is success
etc etc
like there is no absolute definition to success
Hmmmm
happiness is delusion 🥲
If someone is happy (truly happy... not just thinking they are happy in the short term) with their own life, they are successful.
Understanable
So like how do you know , that you will be "happy" after doing a certain thing?
Peeps say , explore yourself , but how to do that ;-;
do random stuff and pick up random hobbies and read about random stuff
idk man ive never been happy for a long time
This is a very broad question. What does it mean to be successful in life? Well, there is no way to answer that without first knowing the person. What does being successful mean to you? Does it mean having material value? Does it mean being socially popular? Does it mean having an important role in history.... who knows. You can grow as a person and your views on being successful change as you change. Your goals from when you were a child are most likely changed. William James once said "The greatest revolution in our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their inner minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives"... In the end, you are what you believe, and if you believe that you are already successful than by that fact you are indeed SUCCESSFUL.
Hmmmmm , thank you
What does being successful mean to me? Hmmmm, in the end not even I can answer that fully right now. Being happy is being successful for me but refraining from being so selfish... the people around me being happy is what makes me happy.... so I guess... happiness.....
Yeah , probably , I will be able to answer about myself as I grow up more
aside from happiness , it's currently 7:46 AM and i just remembered that i have an algebra test @ 8AM 🥲
All the best
lmaooo
Believing is the first step to passing
all the best man
eat well, try to have no caffeine in your diet (messed with sleep schedule more often than not), and try to be in bed around an hour before you want to fall asleep
Can i use forest code on free version?

you need to pay 1.99 to use the forest code and grow trees with others! otherwise the app is free if you want to grow a tree on your own i believe
oh what,,, it’s like 1.99 for me if i want to install it :/
if you cant use forest, there’s also flora! i usually use that or the forest chrome extension
Flora > Forest, change my mind 👀
can’t really have a full on opinion on that yet, i dont have forest installed so idk the differences in them
it seems like they’re both similar tho,, so whatever works for anyone is good enough :DD
I have the same issue the last few days. I just can't memorise anything
Getting more consistent with studying helps. Create a ritual and separate study space so your brain is primed when you actually start
Do short (30 - 60 mins) burst of focused work on a single task/subject
And try not to mix subjects on a single day if you can avoid it
Also summarising by hand is the most beneficial and actualy struggling on math problems etc. helps a lot
Since I started writing instead of typing while studying, my grades have increased a lot
I see, I should focus completely on one subject a day?
I do written notes and promodoro
Only if your schedule allows
Sometimes you have no choice but to do multiple subjects, but it's better for your brain to focus on one at a time
Especially with problems with comprehension, your brain could mix things up
You are very welcome!
Taking breaks is also very important. And try to make them as efficient as possible
So do something completely different from the studying, try to get up and walk around a bit etc.
Thomas Frank on Youtube is a great resource to help with productivity during studying and in general
I make videos that help you be more productive - whether you're in high school, college, university, or the real world. That includes study tips to help you learn faster and ace your exams, advice on destroying procrastination, reading and note-taking strategies, and more. You can't prove that I don't fight bears in my spare time.

Thank you for the recommendation I will take a look

be a chef, make good food, easy gf. fastest way to anyone's heart is through their stomach or inbetween their sternum

hmmm.. I would love to tell you to go outside but that may be difficult.. I dunno. dms? but don’t be creepy
I have a math question,
how can you estimate y when 3^y = 20
or a when x^a = y

ohh… hm… it’s difficult to find someone you truly vibe with..
Hello my friends
this is a rare thing (at least a few years before corona it was) but I met my bf through gaming, over a few years we became good friends (online only) and found out we were actually pretty close to each other and we met up, developed a crush on each other and etc, and we are here today in a very well standing relationship. not saying this is a sure fire way to get a good partner but it's one way you could try, especially with corona
that’s such a cute story 🤧
Congrats man!
How to study after a long gap like a month
there's a few chillout rooms and some people do game nights, plus there's general chat and school work chats (although they are mainly for help, conversations do go on)
How old are you?
Don't worry too much about finding someone while you're still young. It's great time to get to know yourself
The right person will end up on your path eventually, no matter how cliché it sounds
I rushed into relationships and none of them were particularly great
I know it seems like it sucks, but those things will come
I'm 27 and up until like 25 I didn't have any friends. For some it takes longer than for others, but there's always someone for everyone haha
In the meantime I worked on being comfortable being by myself and now, while everyone stresses about not being able to go out etc. I am living a very comfortable life
it's all about your attitude towards people , it is possible that some consider you a good friend but you just don't c it
This also
also the circle of friends in your age is always rotating
Honeatly, the fact that you're open about this makes me like you
A lot of people appreciate vulnerability, because everyone is insecure about something
trust me at your 20s people will realize your worth
i was a loner myself , so i had to do everything by myself
thus i had a decent skillset , and when it was time to get into dorm or any little community
you'll stand out
Damn, that's kinda badass
now i like this guy
Haha yeah
Will you be my best friend?
Just know that everyone has flaws, so finding the perfect match highly unlikely
But you ll start to care for people despite and even because of them
What are yall on about?

i got eoy (end of year exams) in a week from now, I have a long weekend from today till monday, should i take today off to avoid burnout? I've been doing school plus 4-5hour productive sessions the last three days so ion know
