I did one from 2018 to 2021 in IT
is it risky ? like if u do it would u get a job immediately?
risky in what way? So it technically it's a job contract that also incudes you going to school (Berufsschule) once or twice a week. So what I'm trying to say is that in some way it is quite a big commitment because the Ausbildung will take 3 years for most professions, however there is quite a long time of "Probezeit" (I believe for me it was 6 months). So the Probezeit is a time frame that pretty much treats your contract as a trial time. So within that time eihter you or the company you work and learn in can say "Nah this doesn't work out between us". So if you don't like it you are not stuck for 3 years in that job, you can simply leave, without having to give a reason or without a deadline (you can leave within a day). So in that sense it is not risky because you can just give it a try without much consequence, however past that trial time you are more committed and if you start to dislike it after that it get's a little harder to leave as there are some legal things to go through. About the job: yes, you are part of a team with tasks immediately from day one, however there is of course a long period of time where you get to learn how things work first, before you start taking responsibility yourself. So you don't have to worry about performing right away as the whole point of the Ausbildung is learning a profession. You will have someone responsible for you who is always on your side and who can aswer your questions
thank youuuuu
if there is anything else just dm me, I'm happy to help
ofcc thanks again
super random but the pomofocus website is not allowing me to alter the settings across browsers and devices.. does anybody else have this issue?
He may tell you if you ask him when he's live next time. I don't know which country you live in but in India his live usually ends around 5-6 am ^^
Btw is your pfp from 2521 drama???
Same here i just switched to https://www.nekotimer.com/
A simple pomodoro timer to keep you focused and motivated while studying or working.
its the only one i found that is simple enough, the others had so many gradients and shit spread through their website

Hey guys, im planning to enter college overseas but im finding it pretty impossible to write my personal statement. Any tips or advice would help, appreciated!
what are you applying for? and where?
Either comp sci or cyber security, havent decided yet
you could try and do something unique
with that IT in mind
look if you had read any books or smn
You guys could try forest. Especially the desktop version is really nice and sync it to your phone.
hey guys, i have my finals coming up in 1 month and ive been suffering with clinical depression for 8 months now and it has gotten worse and its hard for me to study even for abit, was wondering if any of yall have any advice or tips to help me out even if its a bit. thank you guys yall are the best.
Hi, I might not be experienced, but I would say try studying like you teach someone, or have someone near you who could keep you motivated, or try replacing the thoughts by the examination pressure thoughts.
I hope it might help
heya!
Get meds. Really. I was "against" meds to, but they helped me A LOT. To prevent from stressing for your results, getting meds can help you focus and get some work done. Reach out to your care-giver and I hope they can help you further!
You are not alone.
Take care of yourself
thank you for the advice Ali, ill make sure to follow them
thank you so much Gilles, I'll try to ask my doctor for suitable meds for my condition and take them, genuinely appreciate the help...thanks again...i hope life will treat yall well✌️
Hi, I am a 12 grade student, I gave my 11 board exams the results of which are going to be announced soon, the pressure is real because I am in a state of very tough competition, no matter what I try I can't take myself out of this competitive environment then I realise it's necessary to be in competition cuz it makes me out extra effort, if anyone has a tip to share to overcome competitive thinking.
Another highly important thing is I wanna think logically and critically, I had always been doing what is in the syllabus, never going out of that, but now I feel like I am way behind whenever I see asking high logical questions and I keep thinking how one can think about this. If someone could also help me develop this skill
what do you mean by "logical"
like actual logical mathematics
I mean like you are having a lecture and one of the students asks very high conceptual questions that require you to think logically , I mean like going out of the syllabus to understand the concepts, I tried to made it clear
I woudnt say "logical" its more a metaphysical point of view
it is a way of thinking where you look at the system as a whole and not just a specific chapter or point if you see what i mean
and you will use logic, indeed, to state these questions
but they get into a MP-pov
i have shit professors, in a sense they dont even answer those questions, or say they dont get it, in order to not answer
so cant help with that mate
You understood what I was tryna say, and also thx for considering
guys so m an english major and rn i need to fiinish an essay but i can't find many of the books m looking for , i used anna's archive , z-lib nothing works is there any site u could suggest
anyone who did FMVA by CFI/ WSP certification?
keep working on science subjects
make a strong grip on phy numericals
do all organic and inorganic chem properly (do hella practice of the question )
biology is like facts so yeah remember facts
keep competative behaviour this help u to move quickly in my opinion
Tysm, I will try my best
Hey guyss if I'm like not even a begginer in coding and stuff what and where should I learn it?
programming is one of the most common things that people self-learn
i don't have any resources on hand, but... i guarantee you'll find a ton of resources or even full tutorials by just asking google or looking on youtube for a tutorial for a common programming language such as python
hlo bro
there won't be a perfect way, its much experience simply. Just start somewhere, it only gets easier the more you know.
I want to know the co condition of f1 visa for usa from india and a bit guidance for duolingo english test
Hey guys,
I'm doing a project / research about Studying Abroad. and I need your help!
My hypothesis: The process of completing a learning agreement and going on a study exchange is too complicated; therefore, fewer students are studying internationally and the small % of students who are going, find themself having difficulties with the process.
If you care about helping students, this survey is for you! (It takes approximately 2 minutes and 28 seconds to complete.)

Heyy guyss!!!! Very out of the blue question but how do y'all discover new songs or genre...... (Not the trending ones)
i let youtube algorithm play automatically 😂
you can try to listen what other people listen to in #music-recs-without-context or any other server you're in that might have a music channel
on spotify, i listen to discover weekly, and if theres a song i like, i click on the song and go to song radio
thats how i find out more songs from that genre
Okkaayyy I'll try that
Thannkkk youuu
Well I have done this but yt don't have good recommendations for me yk, that's why I asked
Alrighttt
<@&942391219206647828> phishing scam 😦

The song radio thing on spotify is my go to
how do you guys avoid procrastinating and just wasting time, i got an exam coming up in around 2 weeks I’ve done 1/6 chapters, I jus end up lookin at YouTube or playing a game or looking through reddit, would love to know what works for you guys
that reminds me that i have an exam coming in around two weeks
personally, i make it so that accessing the things that i would rather do is not an option
i don't have much of an issue avoiding youtube or reddit, but for video games for example, i just don't have games on my laptop
none on my phone
make your environment so that you end up so bored that you have no option other than to study
honestly sounds great but I’ve tried it and i do end up studying a couple hours but after that i get so damn bored i just start scrolling or something
that’s how I finished one chapter at least haha
it is a pretty big exam though and i just tell myself i still got time
i might just pull the plug and go full offline
but a part of me is just begging me not to thinking of boredom
being comfortable with being bored is definitely among the top ten things i've been able to discipline myself to do
Yeah everyone tells me that but i just havent had the courage to
how’s you manage the boredom at first? Just pushing through it and it gets better eventually?
to be honest, i never really had a boredom issue to begin with
i never had social media, never had much to watch on youtube, nothing i was really interested in scrolling or watching when i was younger
so i never built a dopamine reliance on that sort of stuff
i played games, but tbh i've played those same games so many times it's gotten more boring playing them than it is to just do work instead
in every day life... instead of looking at my phone during my downtime, i like to just observe my surroundings, look out the window
not much to say about that, basically having a curiosity about the world replaces staring at my phone
when studying... that's a bit different, depending on whether you're doing deep work or doing regular studying like pomodoro
if you're doing deep work, you're probably pretty invested into what you're doing, hence you're inherently not bored
if you're doing pomodoro, then make sure you're taking breaks long enough for you to recover a little bit from focusing, but short enough that you don't start looking for your phone again
those breaks are extremely important to keeping you refreshed at the start of every study block, they're what really carries you to studying for a couple hours
honestly I’m really glad you havent been on social media much, it’s really so…idk
toxic
makes your brain feel so off and weird
brain fog or whatever
thanks a lot man sorry for replying late i was just busy with something
this sounds very refreshing honestly
maybe, but i think most people would find it boring - if you don't force yourself in some way to not take out your phone during slow moments in life, you're never going to develop that discipline
either way i think not having my phone in my face is a good thing, there's a rise in hateful behaviour and crimes and i'm starting to feel unsafe pulling my phone out and giving it long periods of attention on the bus or waiting for something
that's the feeling of your attention span slipping away 🤣 jokes aside, yeah, i avoid that stuff because there's no use rolling with the pigs in the mud
if it's about staying connected with people, then if someone who really wants to talk to you then they'll find some way to reach out and stay connected with you, otherwise they were probably not worth talking with in the first place
How do yall start your study session, from scratch? Say you have an exam coming up, how/with what do you start your sessions so you don't just read slides? Much appreciated!
For me, I scan the problems first, then review it simultaneously with the notes and attempt the first problem. Then practice another similar type of question without referring at all. More often or not the problems cover the important points and learning outcomes you need to know. And you gotta engage with it by physically writing with down, not typing.
After the session, you can do what they call active recall/blurting/ spaced repetition stuff. I still kinda struggle with that but those are my tips in general.
Hey guys I need help
like alot
of help
I have a question is there a study guide on here
Like a guide for study tips
cuz like i did really bad last year
Yeah I really agree I actually deleted instagram last year, and like a couple weeks ago, I downloaded it again just to see if anyone msged me or something, and holy hell the videos felt soo unbearable, I had no idea how I used to watch that, it was honestly shocking how someone using it has no idea how terrible those videos are
and i deleted my account right away last month
yeahhh
ppl should avoid short form content in general tbh
tbh, like just doing nothing for an entire day
like straight up nothing
no scrolling or watching netflix or even studying
can help u improve ur attention span
Hey, what should I do now...? I'm a senior in high school and I’ll be taking my uni entrance exam next year. I spend the whole day sitting at my desk, but I can only actually focus and study for like 30 mins. This has been going on for 6 yrs. I know I’ve got a lot of mental health stuff (ADHD, depression, past trauma, ...), but I really wanna change so I can get into the uni I dream of. I’m willing to do whatever it takes. Pls help me 🙏
any idea how i can enable the lofi-bot?
i'm not sure if you know this, but a majority of people on this planet can only focus for 30 minutes at a time 😂 you're perfectly normal
you spend the entire day sitting at the desk, i'm curious how you're spending that time
one very popular and successful study method is the pomodoro technique where you set a timer for 30 minutes and just focus only during those 30 minutes
once the timer rings, you drop everything and go take a break for 10 minutes, and then come back and do it again
this takes advantage of your 30 minute focus limit by only making you work for 30 minutes and then you go eat something or take a walk, clear your mind and do it all again
if that's not what you're doing, i really suggest trying it
most people can only focus up to 30 minutes, you need to take advantage of that time and then give your mind a rest
this is actually so true
hey yall, i was just wondering if someone is experiencing the same issue with obsidian. i have all of my notes connected using icloud but recently it has been updating too slowly in real time, so it creates copies of the current note i am working on and it gets annoying because i have to then delete the copies.
nah bruh
o k
hey guys, i needed a small help, i have my uni work, in which i have to submit 10 books photos (front , back and the spine of the book) - photos of these. needs to be hard copy of the book
and then its study and thesis. so can yall send me front back cover and spine of the books yall have which has unique typography in my dm, i really need to submit it till tonight
why not using obsidian's app storage?
I feel like using your device's storage is just useless and may cause issues even worse than this
it depends on what you connect your notes with (external apps)
but if it's necessarily, then you might need to check the files settings of your vault
Does anyone studies or works in the field of mycology ??? I need urgent help in a question. ‼️
Hello I have a question about uni programs. I am interested in software engineering at waterloo because it is the best uni with connections to top US companies. The problem is that it is extremely competitive especially the CS and SE programs. Computer engineering and math would be much easier to get into so I was wondering for Softwar engineering career would CE be better or math.
is anyone pursuing or has already finished a post bacc program (specifically for med)? id like to ask a few questions pls dm 🙏
Hi everyone so currently studying for neet prep and i genuinely need help getting off addiction of the yt and chess.com but I have all my classes on my tablet so in my case I just can't quit devices any help would be beneficial
I feel like CE would be a lot better. A ton of people go into software engineering with CE majors, i cant say the same with math.
thank u
Ofc, just be a bit careful tho cuz at least in the US CE degrees have the highest unemployment rate. Also CE is becoming very competitive now since people who otherwise wouldve applied comp sci are going to CE
Aw damn. I saw that graph too. CS is up there too though. But this is the worst case scenario. I think i have a shot at going into CS or SE.
Yeah (disclaimer I’m also in the process of researching unis so i’m going off of what I heard)
But apparently part of the reason for the unemployment is that everyone is going into those majors and leaving college without knowing how to code. If you can get a high level understanding of that you’re probably fine
Either way the job market is fucked regardless of what you go into
yeah
i heard you gotta grind and if not youre cooked
like grind outside of your uni work
leetcode and projects
Hey guys I'm going to start a server on Discord on Phenomenology if anyone is interested
good morning
Hey everyone,
I’m a US citizen but did all my schooling + bachelor’s in India. Now I’m looking to do my Master’s in the US, and I am confused about the application process for my case (Aiming for Spring 2026 intake). I have narrowed down my list to the universities I would like to apply on my own since no study consultancy is ready to help me for career guidance.
Are there things I should know as a US citizen with an overseas degree? Any tips, personal experiences, or resources would be awesome.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I’m in the process of shortlisting universities for my master’s in finance and would love to connect with current students to get some genuine insights about the programs and campus life.
Here are the schools I’ve shortlisted so far:
Rutgers Business School, NJ
George Mason University, VA
Arizona State University, AZ
UMass Amherst, MA
Florida International University, FL
If you’re currently studying a business or finance course at any of these universities, please feel free to reach out. Thank you so much!
did you submit it?
stay away from ASU
oh, why do you say that?
Hey everyone, I've been struggling to stay productive and on track with my schedule lately. I sit down to get work done, but then I get sidetracked by YouTube or other stuff and completely lose my focus. It's tough to break out of that cycle, especially when I keep waiting for the 'right time' to start.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Any advice on how to stop procrastinating and actually stick to a schedule? I'm open to any tips you've got!
Yes i dealt with it
You have to download a website blocker like freedom on your PC and use the locked mode and block websites like youtube reddit etc
i also use pomodoro timer which helps a lot and i say to myself i can not stop working or get distracted no matter what until my time runs out and i get my five minute or ten minute break
What time scheme do you use for your pomodoros?
Also does anyone have any tips for making a simple to-do list?
yea
just write it
TO DO
*[day/time] - what you need to do
you can think about making it fancy once you've built up the habit of actually making the list... actually writing it down is the most important thing to get down
nothing personal in my schedule this week, so here's my to-do list
just write things down
You have interesting handwriting
thanks
Depends. But mostly 60 min work and ten 10 min break
Is someone able to quickly go over my college app essay? Any help is appreciated! Please dm me if you can : )
For the nerds out there; this is how my Roadmap looks for this survey. -I find it pretty cool tbh
Thank you to all who did it 💕
hello! we do not allow surveys on the server so i'll be removing this. goodluck though!
Hey y'all I've been waking up at 3 am and studying till 12pm with 50/10 minutes intervals, I actually haven't had issues with that but It's really difficult to stay awake till 7pm because of the lack of energy, does someone have any for that?
study less mate
for if you have to, study as much, but divide into 2 big chuncks with a bigger break in between
drink tea instead of coffee, eat fruits
you know how people go to work all day, come home and have no energy?
yeah that's you
you're basically working 9 hours with an accumulated 1 hour 30 minute break in between
as previously suggested, study less if you can afford it, my suggestion, set an alarm for an hour and just take a nap
ideally do both as needed
does anyone knows where to find the "leaked" consulting reports from Gartner, GigaOM, BCG for free 🥲
Ty for the advice, and yeah, I drink a lot of green tea
Ty, I'll try your suggestions
any time! have fun mate
anyone have any tips for not losing pencils lol, i bought a rotring 600 and i lost it on like the second day of school lmao
just keep sure to keeping track of returning the things that went out of ur bag and make sure once and twice it's there
as someone who lost alot of pens & pencils in school
i can assure u this the only way
and not having too much options too
like just have 2 pens and one pencil only with u
dont bring more than that daily
gotchu chief, i bought a rotring 800 as a replacement and it’s like 3 times expensive so i’m kinda worried to lose it again
u wont hopefully
that's a good ask
i've never had issues keeping track of my gear
if i were to think on why that is... it's probably just as johan previously suggested
if something is coming out of my bag, it's only those few items, they stay in my line of sight, and they return to the bag when i leave
if i need to like, go to the bathroom and leave my bag in the classroom, whatever i took out which is valuable either goes back into the bag (and the bag zipped) or into my pocket
i daily drive fountain pens that cost like 2x the rotring 800 and they're treated that way, either they're in my bag, in my hand/in my view, or in my pocket and at the end of the class, they're returning into my bag
how do i make friends senior year when i've been nerding out all of hs?? i know everyone but i can't find myself interested in anyone enough to befriend them and have fun talks and all
Ok I have a small question
I can't sleep right now and it's midnight
I have two choices
Watch some anime
Or
Watch a lecture and Learn something
Here's the thing
I can't sleep coz there's a really loud gathering of people right outside my house and the noise is keeping me awake
Anyone here just tell me one thing to choose from this
lecture ofc
Hi, im new here. Im from Spain. Hope we get on well 😁
why tho
I did pick the lecture and it was the better option 😁
Security reasons
i want to apply as staff
Any recommendations for music and good ways to keep track of the time with a 60/10 pomodoro? I work in a coworking space so any tips would help
anyone know any therapy online for free?
Hello
are there any chemical engineering transfers from cc to uni i can ask questions to 😭
can you use your phone?
Hey ,I have a question that's very out of context but if anyone is willing to help kindly reply to me .
go ahead
in the meantime i have a question too, how do you guys plan your day? do you use a notebook, physical planner or just an app on your phone?
im trying to find the right way to do it
normally i use a self-made planner or a checklist, but i picked up the planner from james. its actually very nice!
highly suggest it
How do I know if I'm being scammed by the counselor that I'm connected with for my college shortlisting and application process for study abroad?
i think we will need to know more but just for what you are saying if you feel like that there is a reason to be concerned
I have used both notion as well as physical dairy and i prefer the physical notebook as it's just the way my brain works best with ..if you haven't tried both ..give both of them a try for alternative weeks and see which one your brain corresponds with the most
ty
I know right... appreciate your input
If there's anyone here preparing to study abroad and have some knowledge on this matter ..do help okay
Any tips on studying more effectively so I can spend time doing things i want to do.
I'd suggest learning how to focus more and training ur focus
(just heard that in a james vid and am going to do it so good luck)
it was like 2-3 yrs old
title: how to study better (by a study tryhard)
he also mentioned a few more points so i'd suggest you watch it cuz I'm a terrible explainer
yo also found this while randomly checking james' website faq
studying:
how do I study better?
practice. you have to approach it like learning a new skill. push yourself slightly above your upper limit consistently and you will get better. if you push yourself too hard you will burnout. there is a balance of pushing yourself too hard and just hard enough to get peak improvement. I have had a lot a lot of practice. I also have a video dicussing this topic.
best thing I found about this topic honestly all the other ppl just say "you have to approach learning right" but personally I think most ppl just have a problem with focus not the way to memorize or understand stuff
hope all this helps
Thank you, man, I appreciate it.
Is there someone here interested in learning spanish? I can help with that in exchange for helping me with my pronunciation in English
🫃
hey
hey do you guys know how to be a member in the sessions of James Scholz?
Any tips on how to like focus for more than an hour like genuinely lock in and actually understand what is being taught
Hey everyone, I am planning to do my masters in DS in Europe. If anyone has some experience, kindly DM I have a few questions
Study just after you wake up (in a quiet room)
hey, does anyone has advice on how not to be nervous while speaking in front of a lot of people?
does anyone remember the free habit tracking app that james used in one of his videos
Anyone in here an architecture student?
j
guys what study apps do u use to stay focused, such as notion and forest and stuff
I’m doing my associates at a community college cause no local uni offers a program for it so hopefully I can transfer out of state with the program they have here
I’m genuinely being cooked by it right now the course load for an associates is wicked
18 credit back to back semesters
At least I’ll be able to transfer pretty much as a junior for university
It’s such a drag though especially with working 35 hours a week
We’re gonna prevail though
<@&942391219206647828> this guy is spamming all around the server guys -_-
Hi there friend:) I use forest, focus friend and pomocat when I study. Ive mainly been using forest recently though because I feel more focused when I study with others. Focus friend has a fun point system but no way to study with others and Pomocat has a pomodoro timer and a study with friends feature but its not very well known. Hope this helps
Hi Hi! A few quick tips off the top of my head i've used personally. Some of these you may or may not have heard before
-
Before presentation- Practice, Practice, Practice. Practicing in a space that mimics the environment you'll be presenting in is preferable because it works as a kind of exposure therapy. Its ideal to be standing, speaking aloud not in your head, and with another person - friends, family, your pet (if they can sit still long enough), or even a crowd of stuffed animals. practice, practice, practice. memorizing the main points or a script for the first 2-3ish mins is also very helpful since your not worrying as much about the content as much as the audience watching
-
During Presentation - I've found it quite helpful to have something small in one of my hands while presenting. It could be an eraser, a ring, a pencil or a presenter remote if your using one. Anything small or discreet should do. Give it the occasional fiddle or squeeze throughout your presentation, like your own personal stress ball, to help reduce your nervous energy, improve your focus and keep you grounded while presenting
-
Last presentation tip is to make eye contact (I know it can be difficult, hear me out). Eye contact helps connect the presenter to their audience by mimicking 1 on 1 conversation. if direct eye contact throughout the audience is too difficult (it still is for me), you can still create the illusion of eye contact by looking around the room and focusing on an object nearby that persons head, looking at their forehead or the top of their heads. If they are at a distance they wont be able to tell the difference 🙂
These have helped me through the countless presentations I've done solo over the past few years and I hope they help you as well. I'm rooting for you!
thank you, helps a lot!
guys how do u keep going when u have self doubt and all u did in school previously was procrastinate and fail ? I wanna believe I'm gonna pass however I don't have evidence of that due to my negative experience previously, I'm so demotivated but I want to study and not believe my thoughts fhwrgfiwgfiegruiegfwief help
past is gone already , u cant be living ur past again and again
what happened in the past did already happened u cant change it , but what u can change is ur future , & ofc u did some mistakes in the past and indeed u will fail if u keep doing them too , but indeed if u kept doing ur best and kept moving forward with always being accountable for ur mistakes and kept fixing what's going wrong u will 100% succeed
so self doubt will just be gone when u just keep moving forward and at least it wont exist when u already know that u give all ur effort with anything
all the best !!
thank youuu
ur wlcm
and just to know
u will keep doing mistakes and it's okay to fail but always remember u dont have to be harsh on urself , being patient and being there for urself will be always helping u to keep moving forward
I have this tendency of always putting high expectations on myself and I often struggle with an all or nothing mindset. thos
this led to severe procrastination that genuinely harmed me and my academic path
and even tho I have a low self esteem in the moment I'm gonna keep going
I sometimes forget that I'm a person too and I always feel like I could've done more , I could have done more tbh. but Ig I was unconsciously proving the belief that '' I don't deserve success" and "being successful will get be bullied and harmed" which was true in the past but today is no longer the case
I gotta change how I perceive success in relation to myself
that's perfectionism
try to give any book abt it a try , did read joy of imperfection by Damon Zahariades was a good one
failure is part of the journey tho , and u need to know that ofc it happening is a possibility but that possibility keeps decreasing since u r moving forward and doing ur best. what happened in the past already happened dont keep remembering what could've done but work on what is on ur hand and remember, u actually deserve success just like anyone else, the past doesn’t define u anymore. success now means growth, peace and proving to urself that u can , not something to be scared of
ur wlcm !
yeah I do fucking deserve success and it's all between me and me. fuck everyone else who harmed me it's all about today and growth (srry for cursing I'm just kinda angry but in a good way lol)
lol no worries
u have got thhis !!

My sleep schedule is in gutter
Maybe! Why
Is anyone available to help me out with this assignment using excel? I was thinking if I could screen share in vc to have it explained
Yes, I can try helping
Just need any tips how to stop it
Oh well I’d say that really specific to what you day to day looks like it’s really personal
It’s mostly about recognizing patterns and where those lead you.
On days you binge, are you eating enough during the day?
Before binges, is there something emotional you’re feeling that you’re trying to suppress?
What kind of food do you typically binge on? (That you may not be allowing yourself to eat within reason)
Just acknowledging what triggers you and what you can do to block it. For me, big triggers were… feeling stressed, large bags of snacks (that I deemed as unhealthy or “healthy snacks” so it was okay to eat more in my head but it still made me sick), and of course body image issues. So my ways of helping it was noticing how I’m feeling and trying to catch myself before anything happens, less food shopping of just junk, and more deeper healing on body image issues
It’s so difficult to give advice when I don’t really know what you go through unless you had a specific question
got it, thanks

Hey! Is there any way of connecting the forest app in ipad to the extension In windows laptop?
well you need to create an account first on the ipad and then log into it on the widows extension, because im pretty sure the forest extension is avaliable on windows, not the app

Does anyone have some good resources for studying both the SAT and the ACT?
Y'all, how do I study maths the right way? Like, there are so many different variations of sums of a single concept, and a chapter has like 5-6 new concepts. How do I study, bro? Like it's so tough to remember all those variations - just understanding in depth doesn't make me learn it forever. I practise maths a lot too, but I am not improving. Any tips?
is anyone here from cambodia
Personally I found it better for me to remember complex topics such as math better when I tried explaining it to others. For example I got better at Calculus II when I tried teaching those concepts I was learning to other people because you are using active recall to remember what you actually learn and you are actively testing your knowledge when teaching it to others. That way instead of just remembering you actually know what you are talking about and are verbally able to explain your though process. And Constantly teaching it reinforces it in your brain to the point where you could possible remember it for a longer periods of time. This is called the Feynman technique and it personally helped me out a lot and I feel like it would be the best case for yourself as well if you want to dive deeper into it.
Keep a list of definitions and theorems, anything technical or math focused should get added. Every week go over the list, cover up the definition and try to remember what it was about, before checking it. Then do it again until you can think it or say it fully. Once you learn the vocabulary you should be able to express what you mean and understand what you read about math more clearly.
I'll be highly thankful if anyone could give me a tip on how to be productive and manage the time.
How do i continuously focus on a lecture for a long time? Because i drift off and then i lose track and then i dont receive the info quite right

Hey everyone, hope you all doing well, I was wondering if there is any computer science student's here ! I want to learn about ai but actually I don't know from where to start ? And I if anyone knows where to find some free certificates in this field or python or any other language I will appreciate it .
Have a nice day 😊
Im also interested but don't know where to start
scam
@drifting pagoda I think google has an AI course that is short but could give a solid start. I think AWS has a certified AI Practitioner. As far as learning I would just research more into Machine learning, Deep learning and the difference between LLMs and Generative AI. If you are interested in a project I would recommend doing a self hosted AI or learning how to create an AI agent. I'm currently not an expert in AI but I'm doing offensive security so looking to get into AI red team to expand my knowledge.
So we could have a plan to study together if you don't mind , m a little bit lazy 😅 so finding a study partner could help
Thank you so much Zach , I really appreciate all those informations . Now m going with python and i wish i'll attend pandas soon so I'll study ML and DL. That's the plan for now , idk if it's the best but let's try😅 .Hope you all the best in your studies mate , thank you again 😊
@drifting pagoda You also might like this, its pay what you can. Not sure how good the information is but alot of AI course so might be helpful, however youtube is great too https://www.humblebundle.com/software/databricks-comptia-cyber-ai-470-exams-back-to-school-software-bundle?hmb_source=&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_1_layout_index_1_layout_type_threes_tile_index_3_c_databrickscomptiacyberai_470exams_backtoschool_softwarebundle
It seems interesting, I can't afford it now but I'll try to save some money for it . Thank you Zach . Btw what did you mean by aot bcuz I read it as 'attack on titan' lol ,I think I should be more serious but m giving a comment about this m sorry for it
I meant alot lol
hey that's a great idea, i can give it a try!
oh hiya! i was randomly browsing through this server. i noticed your pfp and it sorta clicked -- i recognised you
yo i had a question from Graph Theory, let's say there are 2 graphs and their degree sequence is the same, same numbers repeated for the same amount of times (for eg. graph1 has deg sequence as 3,3,3,3,3 and graph2 has deg sequence as 3,3,3,3,3 - same number repeated for the same amount of times), in such case, can we call the graphs Isomorphic without taking the One-One correspondence of Vertices and Edges ?

Okey , let me know whenever you study plan . Good luck 💪
only if both of them are connected graphs

Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle of what to do with my studies. I just got to Junior level CS classes but I'm feeling very disillusioned since I couldn't get a single internship interview. I've considered switching to nursing since it seems like a much more linear path to starting a career but it brings me sadness when I think of giving up all the hard work I did to get to where I am now. Thoughts?
One piece of advice: never give up
Junior is just the beginning
I might have just pushed myself too hard. I did take a condensed calc 3 class this summer
unless you hate CS or love nursing to the point where you believe future you would regret not chasing your dreams, do not switch
particularly because the skills overlap between CS and nursing is... there's no overlap, meaning you have zero advantage over anybody else when you switch
not to mention that imo, nurses get paid basically nothing to do some of the most intensive, often traumatising, and long hours of work you can find in a modern society
for every hundred interviews, people often only get like three responses, that's entirely normal and you just have to keep trying
I do really love CS. I really do
that's excellent, then absolutely don't swap off
i'm not sure many companies look for low level junior CS students for entry level or internships particularly because of how many people they have to choose from
it doesn't hurt to keep trying, but you should definitely keep getting your skill and experience up through studies and personal projects for your portfolio while doing so
you're so right! thank you!
Did the same thing with physics. Gave my very best the first year and dropped out after. Switched and still have some regret till this day. If the fire in you is strong enough, keep going. If not, there is plenty of time to get back to it later 😉
Best of luck on your journey
Guys help!!!
Hey guys, does anyone know a free to use application, that can create anki cards out of lecture slides without limitations?
use LLMs like chatgpt or google ai studios
You good man? I'm nowhere near you but I hope you're alright
which notebook does James use?
Hello! I’ll be starting university to study physics in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone has tips on studying, time management, or any essential advice in general for first year students. Thanks!
Studying: aim for 100% for every exam cause why not, if you fail doing that you will do well regardless. Speak to professors, lecturers and other smart people. It will make the learning and networking experience more fun.
Time management: This depends on what you want from life tbh. If you wanna grind and focus on your career your social life will need to be cut down a bit and you would need to manage things wisely. Avoid cramming for exams and make sure to study every week. I personally spent 2 weeks grinding the entire semesters content and then doing light revision throughout the semester coupled with extracurriculars and social activities. Maybe use a calendar like notion or something to plan your time.
If you aren’t sure what you want to do career wise in life don’t worry. Join societies , be confident, unapologetically yourself and find something that interests you. University is a place you go to learn how to learn, to meet great people and accelerate your career. Don’t skip lectures UNLESS you have test proven them to be useless, some modules may have better lecturers than other so be wise and choose when it’s appropriate to go and when it isn’t. Be smart with your time and honest with yourself. Enjoy your life also and don’t get caught up with career opportunities, dont follow the crowd, do what you love.
- Also definitely apply for internships all the time lol.
that looks like a cheap generic graph paper booklet
his other one, which i think is underneath that one, is a hobonichi a5 graph notebook
guys i watch james pomodoro recorded live streams when im studying but sometimes i get distracted and open another tab, i pause the live and start scrolling or be on discord like i am now how can i focus more?
use unhook for YT
and turn off notifications
if you know this thing called "friend" get one and keep yourselves accountable
guys i have my olympiads on nov, and want to find a way to study where i study effectively and dont get burned out
i leave for school at 7:30 am and come back from school at like 4:30 pm
aiming for getting first in the olympiad in my whole school!
any tips?
was like horrible before in school bcz i didnt study before (got like 48 percent) but gonna make an academic comeback no matter what : DD
Create resistance so it’s annoying or more steps to start scrolling than what you want to do. Like Malek said, unhook is good for restricting YouTube
and please don't pin it cuz if you pin it it's just easy to clickity click on it and disable it
Can someone share me James' spotify playlist the one he shared in the previous livestream?
Thanks so much! What you said about universities being places you go to learn how to learn hit hard. I really appreciate it!
To be honest im still not really sure on what i want to do with my life but i think this will be a great opportunity to figure that out.
again, big thanks dude.

i studied all my life by writing lessons at school then reading it again at home .... now when i went to the medschool i found my self rewriting all my pdf lecturers then reading it from my notebook because it better for me to memorise the things with my hand writing and i also started passing the exams and not failing at it .......... is this how my brain work or am just not used to studying using by printer or pc screen
am asking this because writing takes sooooo much time
does anyone know UI/UX? need help
Heyy guys! I need some help with getting responses for my survey for masters thesis, am I allowed to share my survey here?
Hello! I am trying to get my shit together and actually study. The issue I'm facing is that all of my life, I have been able to get good grades without studying. The issue I'm facing, is how does one study efficiently?
LIke, I have no clue..
same
Quality and focus of your study and that’s it pretty much
For me the most efficient way to study is to focus with the professor during class, write down notes and highlight important bits
Go home, start making notes and flashcards in remnote (takes about 45-60min/chapter)
do 100-200 flashcards per day, load depends on if I’m near an exam
then a final review before the exam which takes roughly 30minutes/chapter, if there is a difficult concept I’ll review it several times to drill it into my heads
The key thing here is to start early and not cram things
Once you cram things ugly things happen
Also for exams it’s good to look at the syllabus and see what objective each chapter has, the questions will come from there
I have two advice to give, depending on your objectives. Either achieve a good understanding of the topics and develop knowledge or have good grades on exams.
If it's the former, then the ultimate secrets are curiosity, consistency, and organization. Curiosity allows you to dive deep into a subject, search for answers where no one is looking, and keep a "healthy" relationship with your studies. Studying becomes a process where you genuinely want to look for answers and build knowledge.
Consistency helps you cement information in your mind. It's better to study 2 to 3 hours every day than 12 hours once a week. It helps tremendously with memorization, but also to build discipline. The secret is to show up.
If curiosity is the door, consistency would be the lock; therefore, organization would be the key to it. You need to be organized to make progress. Whether it is while going through lessons, writing notes, watching lectures... etc. It helps a lot with recalling pieces of information, and if you want to come back to certain notes, then having them already at hand is always helpful. But make sure your notes aren't two long, they should contain keywords and the main point of what you've gone through.
And to do all of this, you need time. So you'd better start early.
If it's the latter. Then I will give you something that works amazingly for me, which is to start with the actual exams. What I usually do is that I search for old exams and gather them in front of me, then I highlight the questions that are asked every year. I then proceed to make a list of what is frequently asked and the lessons the professor tends to focus on. It's like doing the work in reverse way.
Only then do I start studying the material. My mind naturally focuses more on what came up the most during exams. And when I'm done memorizing them, I can then try to go into more detail.
I generally start this a month prior to exams.
The best would be to start the semester with the first method, and the second when exams are near.
Good luck!
came and dropped one of the best pieces of advice i've ever read
i'd like to save that
Mods pin this neooooww
If I have to complain about a user how can I do that
use the ticket system
and then #open-a-ticket
From my assumption, It’s because of social media
Don’t use social media
Precisely, short form content
what's the main reason? do u go on ur phone in between?
if so then i recommend just putting ur phone on ur bed or somewhere far
Hey guys
How much closure time is their on ticket? All my tickets are getting closed without a reply, anyone who knows i do have some queries to ask to admins
How much timer is set on the ticket bot?
make a ticket for it,
Does anyone here have brain fog? the kind where it feels like your mind is drained, like you’re only running on a small fraction of your brain while the rest is shut down
I made twice and no admin responded it, thats why i want to ask how much total time limit it has so i will only open tickets when admin is lurking around here
Hi guys, I assist busy students with their assignments and essay/thesis writing. If anyone is need of this service dm.
I'm am very unorganized and inefficient with my time during studying, I feel like I wasn't learning anything during my 4 hour session.
I think brain fog might be linked to burnt out. Was very burnt out a few months ago, couldn't think straight or even efficiently complete my tasks. Meditation, diet, exercising and taking breaks might help some of y'all.
nah, but i bought one for my friend's birthday (she hates wearing glasses)
it wasn't a pair,
i just bought one
In a shorter form: What do you do when you feel like you’re really stuck in life?
Such a wonderful question
In short: there is no such thing as being stuck, without there being a being free
So you end up doing things that do not cause suffocation
Small steps, but steps
5min of "air" is better then none
Life is just a big fucking dialectual movement cuh
Sometimes we just have to be embodiments of the term "chill"
journal
So one who feels stuck has forgotten the freedom within? I should let go of everything and start again, and do that process all over again
Mentally I mean. Actually letting go of things that one has worked on and wish to grow might not be the best, but to understand how it is a choice (freedom of choice) to do everything
Not sure if I understood that right. I should journal
I just keep myself busy, like I distract myself with studying or stuff
Yea, you guys gave such great advice and some thoughts to nourish. Really appreciate it 🙏
Thank you
Yeah looks like it
6 tickets 4 days no admin saw it
As much as i want to sleep well and early, i just can't
i do try to hit the bed at 10 PM,
only for me to not sleep until after mid night,
mind so, i don't use phone, and i just lay like a log till i feel aslim
fax
Just move, as lively and widely as u can until there’s no movement left. Use ur corpse to inform the brain that there’s nothing to solve anymore for today, only goofiness. For me that works, or choosing a really boring book beside the bed, which usually gets me to sleep before it is even opened

does anyone have any advice for going through personal issues during a busy semester? ive been studying super hard and staying on top of some the hardest classes in my major this semester
and im in an accelerated program, so im taking about 5 to 6 core classes every semester
but recently i went through some stuff and missed my first day, does anyone have any advice for kind of getting that study flowstate back after losing it for a day or two
sybau
noo no not that s
2 days missing is nothing mate
Keep going? Idk what you are worried about
im so annoyed,, does anyone have any tips on how to get into flow state while studying i cant figure it out 😭
Literally 0 distractions. That's the most important factor
As little context switching as possible, some is fine don't be perfectionist
The right music / stimulation - Brain fm has free tracks on yt, highly reccomend. ASMR also works really well, I like rain sounds. Nintendo music playlists also work for me
Love the work - A flow state is a drip feed of dopamine, dopamine is the wanting and happiness chemical, you can't do it if you hate what you are doing. Change your perspective, romanticize it, make things prettier and more atmospheric beforehand, get excited
Know what you are doing - Flow lists or checklist beforehand
Love your pfp
Hey

aaa I’m scared my alarm won’t wake me up tomorrow! I’m tired of sleeping in and I want to get alot done tomorrow ): how do you guarantee that you’ll wake up without snoozing
if you're worried about hitting snooze, then set multiple of them and make them inconvenient to get to so that you force yourself to get out of bed to hit snooze
Also, if possible, put your alarm really far away or use a qr alarm app, so you have to stand up to turn it off.
Is watching a lecture in 2x speed really worth it? Or could you just get AI to make a summary of it?
for me 1.5 works best with pausing and summarizing it yourself after each section, AI might miss out something you don't know off, use it for flashcards / self-quizzing. I can't really understand with 2x speed
Depends upon the topic I think. For me, if it's a practical subject or a topic that I'm really interested in, I'll watch the lecture. But if it's something that I just need to get done, I'll go for AI summarizations.
I would suggest 1x is better rather than 2x. I mean u feel that youre actually learning or understanding the lecture but what u learn during the 1x u remember but u have to eventually put in the same time in revising
I would suggest go with 1x and try to revise using Anki flashcards
I used to do 2x but now I realise 1x would feel slow but you'll retain that information for longer period time
because my school has suddenly shifted from in-person lectures to prerecorded video lectures, the time that our teachers try to cram into our predetermined lecture blocks has also increased
for example, a course that might have had 200 minutes of total lectures on my official schedule during which the teacher typically includes a 15 minute break in the middle, has 240 minutes worth of lecture without the usual break
in my case i have five other core classes to get through, i can't not watch my lectures on at least 1.5x speed 😭
so i get the need to rush, but i suggest setting a speed to something you can actually understand on a per-teacher basis
some of my teachers talk really slowly, i can manage 2x
some of them talk really fast, i can only manage 1.25x or 1.5x
If time does not allow, do you think it is more of a priority to do flashcards for an exam (anki) or to understand the material and form connections (obsidian). I imagine if time allowed that it would be best practice to do both?
Are practice exam or past papers available for your exam? If so that would be my go to
While flash cards are good for active recall i think that would just prepare you for your course in general
For a better exam score, especially with less time, past papers will get you primed and familiar with the exam. You can spot out trends, repeating questions, etc., and land a higher score
My personal approach is to tackle past papers first and if i have time left i go through the course AFTER so i can spot out what parts of the course are actually important when reading them later and mark them (this depends on your program mine is law so it works for me)
how to reduce screentime
step 1: put your phone down
step 2: don't pick up your phone
delete every app that you could be addicted to and your phone will become just boring
How to help with ADHD
make ur brain realize there are better things to be doing
Get some pills if possible
A whole different world
just dont aim for reducing screentime as in aim for better focus and better results in ur life

Hi can someone help me revise a small writing assignment?
<@&942391219206647828>
hello everyone!
I recently started to study by myself, and I have come across a wall in the form of not having a structure to my learning. I mean this as in I have no particular "path" of learning, no real direction except for the general topics I want to learn about. what is the reccomended course of action here? Thanks in advance!
hi i got an electricity problem , whoever can provide help please dm me
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to know if you guys knew about any videos James made or just generally a very helpful advice regarding eye strain and stuff, cuz sitting and studying for long times is catching up with my eyes so yeah.
Thanks 🙏❤️
for me blue light fitlers worked
also try the 20/20/20
every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds
Much appreciated ❤️
I'll be sure to try that out for sure
surei can do it ?
For me what works:
- Occasional hydrating eye drops without medication if it's finals week (but don't rely it too often cuz it has preservatives and long term usage has bad effects)
- make sure you get your updated glasses prescriptions (blue light filters etc, sometimes you dk the power has already increased)
- if I really have to work for long hours I would keep some physical printed copy notes with me for a particular section (i find it I can engage and rmb the materials more)
Just my general tips, hope it helps
If anything serious do consult the doctor first before getting the eye drops, make sure after 28 days you discard the old drops after using
Appreciate the tips 🙏❤️
I'll try to implement em, thanks!
Eyedrops if you’re not sleeping enough
And if you have weak eyesight or struggle to read small letters get glasses so you don’t have to squint

Hello. To be honest, I have never studied anything in my life. Throughout my school years, I copied everything from the internet. Now I am 16, and I realize that this cannot continue. I am faced with the fact that I have absolutely no understanding of how the learning process works and how to do it most effectively. I would appreciate any help.
Maybe try reading ur coursework and explaining to yourself like what the content is, then try active recalling them and attempting practice questions
If you dont have like practice questions you could make some yourself or through AI dou dont get too dependent on the latter
The main bit about studying is understanding the concepts, retaining them and then applying them
Anytime i feel like im just reading and not understanding stuff, i start by dividing them into seperate statements and paraphrasing them or putting them in my own words or my current go to translating it from english into my native language and that kind of forces my brain to actually understand whats written
Hey guys, has anyone have good websites to learn things, skills, etc ? Whatever the subject I love to learn everything (art, sciences, philosophy, tech, business, political sciences, etc.). For now I know learnanything.xyz, tryhackme, geeksforgeeks, tutorialspoint, learnthingsfree)
if all you've done is copy off the internet and haven't studied a day of your life, honestly, forget using AI as previously suggested
do not trust for a moment that you won't use it to cheat, don't give yourself the opportunity
it will only bring bad habits into you
there's a lot of resources on "learning to learn" - in fact, you should google that keyword, might bring you to a lot of resources on google or youtube or even a free online course
i just skimmed through this video but i think it covers the main idea in how you should approach actually learning something https://youtu.be/Z2N5a7XZWg8?si=Y4H0rteXvR2ckns5
you might be missing core fundamentals such as the patience to sit down and work through something until you come up with your own answer, or the discipline to practice often in the interest of spaced repetition, or holding yourself accountable to studying
the lucky part is that practicing learning is the easiest thing ever, because the practice is literally just learning
change the way you approach doing your homework, don't sit anywhere near your phone or computer if you can help it and just use the knowledge you have to figure out what's in front of you
Thank you for your help and detailed response
does anyone have leetcode premium here?
Does it ever hit you you’re sitting here studying, trying to stay focused, and meanwhile your friends are out there enjoying life? Then old bad memories start flooding back, and suddenly your mind spirals. It’s like feeling left out of your own story, and it ruins your whole morning especially with OCD in the mix.
And then I feel that I neither enjoyed my life properly nor did I studied properly and it feels so so bad 😔
Pls help me guys
yeah
every day i'm studying alone while my friends are sitting in a vc playing games
aside from "seek therapy" there's not much you can do about it
what are you gonna do, give up studying so you can go partying?
you made the decision to study instead of play and it will feel absolutely terrible in the short term, but hopefully you don't regret doing so in the long term
chances are, some of your friends probably chose to play instead of study to feel good in the short term, but the chances of them feeling good in the long term aren't high
understand the trade that you've made with your time
Wise
Yes right Ig I got this habit of seeing things for short term and sacrificing long term goals
Thanks man but then people say u should have a balanced life
What do u do if all those bad memories come up and it spoils the morning
It happened with me this morning I was reading and I wasn't able to focus properly while reading so I thought I should take a break exercise for some time and then study
But what if this happens before exams what do I do at that moment?
you can take a break for just a few moments and some deep breaths to ground yourself again
i know time in an exam is precious, but just that small brief break could make a huge difference and allow you to sustain focus again for the rest of the exam
you can do other things before the exam too, if you have time, like just going out for a quick walk. i think walks can help to remind you* that despite how important studies are, it's not all there is to life
Does it ever hit you you’re sitting here
hi! this isn't what the server is meant for so i will be removing your message. please be mindful of things you share.
Okay
Yeah I'll do that Im going to read the WHO'S stress management pdf once
Yeah what I did I was exercised for 2 hrs and later I felt better
Journaling helps too , to some extent but u have to face it no easy way
i hope the pdf is helpful for you! i struggle with test anxiety and i’ve found that slow and deep breaths have helped me. i usually do three of them, then i just focus only on the problem in front of me.
that’s good that you exercised too, and i’m glad that you felt better afterwards. it can definitely make a huge difference and i would do it regularly, if you don’t already.
you don’t have to do 2 hours everyday either, it could be an 1 hour or 30 mins; just stay consistent. that’s part of having a balance with studies. a healthy body means a healthy mind after all
maybe you can try journalling the night before an exam or on the morning of the exam? it could just be writing a few sentences, just to help you get those thoughts out
ultimately what you said is true and that you have to face it, but you don’t have to face it all at once. i don’t think you can anyway. we’re human and we can only deal with so much all at once. sometimes “facing it” can mean just doing one small thing today. that still counts
i don’t know your specific circumstances but when and if you can, let yourself and give yourself a rest. that’s important too. i know some people don’t have a choice, but if you do, then use it to your advantage and use it wisely. go out, exercise, journal, etc. studying 24/7 isn’t sustainable in the long term, but again, i don’t know your personal situation

Anyone know any good places online to buy keycaps for HHKB?
any resources on Algebra, Probability, and Statistics
guys I legit cannot focus its just one of those days (I might have adhd but idk if I'm just making excuses for myself)...
do any of you have tips on how to just focus so that I can get into the motion of it?
start with a timer set on 15 min and 5 min break and slowly increase it. But just start by telling yourself "I'll just study for a small amount and see where it goes"
TYSM IM BACK WITH A VENGEANCE
why do i have this screen when opening anki?
nevermind i've figured it out
does anyone know of a monitor that has a similar aesthetic to the one in james most recent setup tour?
<@&942391219206647828>
How bad is it if we sleep around 3-5 in the morning but still get 8 hours of sleep?
I’m a freshman in high school and i forgot my multiples
How cooked i’m?
I remember the 1s, 2s, 3s, 5s, 10s, and 11s
Not anything else
that's fine
but 6h+ in 1 session still better
Yall got any tips for procrastination? I’ve been struggling since Covid and it’s been getting rly miserable lately
do you guys find yourselves slowing down when studying? say 1st hour vs hour 12, how can you maintain that deep level of focus for long periods of time?
they can't, you can't be at 100% all the time, I organize my study sessions so that in the first 3 to 4 hours I actually do the hard part, and later on just review it, or do the easier subjects.
oof
It's sad
it's doubly sad
nvm found the pic here
this is one of those that you can't disassemble easily
Yes
parker glued them shut
Yes exactly
the same shit happend to me ahhh
I don't have the materials to repair it anyways nor the skill
The rubber makes me sad lol
its a non repairable one but i think there is one method
that i know
i mean its a gambel
if you've found this video already, never mind, but it should talk about how to disassemble and reassemble it https://youtu.be/OjL5VSWitA8?si=cKNkF50Tb9-KdhTc
otherwise, you're better off buying another or using a cartridge instead
Yes
I was thinking of buying the current parker vector pen
The cheapest parker pen they've got probably
And since it has an ink bottle system it works for me(I have ink bottles in my storage)
Lol
cuz that thing is stuck in there
add boiling water instead of ink in it
cuz boiling water will remove its stiffness
but idk if you know how to do it
i did it twice
it works
but not recommended
in most scenarios
Wait
especially with these pens
How can I grease the barrel
I mean
The rubber
In case I do take the barrel and piston apart
the issue is that even if you get the gasket back on the piston rod, it's probably going to come off again
converters are lubricated with sillicone grease inside, and the main reason gaskets come off is because they're no longer greased
Whatt
put some sillicone grease on a toothpick and smear it around the side of the gasket, then just put it in
What other grease can I use?
you don't need to lubricate the converter walls itself, moving the gasket back and forth will transfer the grease onto the walls
i don't know, i've only ever used sillicone grease
fr try it xd
be careful if you plan on experimenting, because some lubricants may break down rubber
the stifness of the piston will reduce
i mean just look at the atmosphere of south asia
Stiffness is needed tho isn't it?
it reduces
it
not removes it
technically its a cheap and quick solution
it'll make the rubber a bit soft
near the ball thingy
But it'll still drag onto the barrel walls
So it might come off again
Mosquitoes are so irritating
ahhhh
Well let me think about it
u can think
I do wanna take off the barrel rn
try it if the pen offers it
i only use parker pens to sign documents and stuff
i prefer cheap pens for daily use
or chinese pens
Yes
I don't use it now. I used to use it before
It's like I found the pen again
And I wanted to use it again
i dont like parker cuz of the price
we southasians truely respect gifts
Like cambridge pens?
Yes
nah those non branded pens with chinese written on them xd
Ooh I've seen them
They were a trend in school for a year
pens are so exciting to use
if you do end up finding sillicone grease and disassembling it, this video is a good guide
basically he just pulls it apart, actually simpler than i thought but definitely scarier than unscrewing something to disassemble it
Yes yess. I love stationary
Yess ikr. When I saw the vid I was like it's that easy?
they betray you in organic chemistry and algebraic calculations in maths
his hands were so huge
guess friction fit is just that easy, but i can't help but feel that it isn't designed to be done that way 😞
Really?
It isn't but it's worth a try
for me yeah
Than seeing the sad rubber
my hands are so tiny xd
Idk if I can buy silicone grease tho
Lol you find it hard to write them ?
I see
Kinda same
you should be able to find silicone grease at some hardware store, make sure it's 100%
the issue is... at a hardware store, they usually sell big tubs that you probably use like, a single toothpick-point worth of, a single time 🙃
yeah cuz my pens arent ment for like so much pressure
if i press them too hard
the spring breaks
like it twists
not break
Yes ikr. I need like the amount shown in the video
Just a tiny bit
Use lighter handwriting strokes
My strokes are so light the pen will seem it doesn't have ink
Lol
Damn
Here's a top tip for aspiring mathematicians from Oxford Mathematician Philip Maini.
Be lazy.
#shorts #science #maths #math #mathematics #stem
i think i might needa fetch a job during college
i really wana start yt
but got some issues
i cant afford a mic ahhh
Yes I've seen it before
Use a good phone mic
You are in college tho
Lol
How's your studies going?
It's true. Simpler the thought. Better the maths
avg
@zealous prism thanks for your help
Ooh is something up?
happy to help
Kk
kinda
i tried focusing on other skills
learning some weird shit
regarding aviation
and aero physics
Ooh
Weird shit
If it hampers what you are doing you might wanna restrict them a bit
Find something easy then
And less time consuming
i just got done from studying like 20mins ago
i mean
Oh enjoy your break then
You study a lot anyways
Hmmm I gotta do that too
I use them for these weird stuff
it keeps u productive
Yea
like im learning how missiles and rockets work
It's just that I want to do something fun
and role of physics and chemistry in them
But I need to do other stuff
u needa go to texas then
Why lol
they got more rights ahhh
Ooh like
they can actually use rockets
i mean literal rockets
they just needa go through a small government procedure
Ooh damnn
Wow
You should go there then
What about MIT?
yeah
will try
thats why studying hard and learning skills
will try this routine again xd
its so fun
Nice nice
why does Celcius energy drink turn yellow after a while when left out open?
@everyone this is a scam dont fall for it
My multivariable calculus notes 😔 gone
This always happens my notes always get deleted 😩
Spent $40 on anki flashcards eternal

Trignometry itself is not friendly at all Ahhhhh
It fucks you up even if u study about time in it
Really? I find them to be quite intuitive considering it can basically all be derived from the original functions
guys whats better long term transport and logistics or comp sci expert software development? im 20 and got apprenticeship offers from both fields
if you're fine with being glued to screen all day , have back problems , sore eyes , doing everything and still feel like shit , have a seizure everytime someone mention AI will replace you . Choose comptuer science
I mean if you still wanna do it cuz it sounds fun , go for it . You can overcome all obstacles if you are consistent with the effort
@stuck sun you should try deriving them yourself at least once, it'll make remembering them easier.
hi
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKyRik8p0z5sQO_SWEO2wvhtaE8w_NXduf1avb_gHst1a6pQ/viewform?usp=dialog
can yall do this for me for ap csp
people should really stop glorifying this 5am larp
wake up, study for a couple of hours, then do whatever you want, sleep, repeat
it ain't rocket science
with what
With this
because it makes no sense for the average person to wake up this early
if you've got a job and you have to travel far then sure
but almost no one does this crap
you're gonna go to sleep at 8-9pm everyday?
🤣
In the old times people used to wake early
Its our moderen generation that'll Watch ai Slop rather than doing some real work.
they woke up because they had to work in some old dirty factory for 12 hours per day
That was the industrial era
Before that people had jobs like trading
now people have the luxury to actually have a life outside of work
yes, physical labour intensive jobs
Fishing
dawg all you have to do is make some practice questions for an exam, it ain't that deep
Just because ypu have a degree doesnt mean you have the skills
the whole 5am study routine larp is just a distraction
Skills are learnt when u do something
Its better than scrolling at night
it feels good seeing other people do productive stuff if you are introduced for the first time
you can do both
stuyd and have a good time after that
What does scrolling benefit you?
Does it give You Dollars?
It just fucks up your brain
You needa find internship after that
are you productive every hour that you're awake?
Money brings those stuff
no it doesn't, having a diploma does
If you love watching movies you cant just watch them for free
and when you start working you will be so tired that you won't bother to wake up at 5am everyday
You needa invest the money to get the happiness you want
Be consistent
I get your point
Some people do this once
that's a pretty sad view on life if you unironically believe this
But still theyre some people teally doing it
Its not sad
Its the truth
yes it is
We humans need to accept it
wake up, study, do fun things, get a degree, get a job, boom.
Depends on the mindset
Getting a Job Aint that easy
Especially a stable one
it is if you go to a good uni
What fun things
and do something useful like stem or law
That requires money yk
