Which includes probably the most important one: the deep sleep phase. By using this math you could easily mess up your phases which in the end is not beneficial at all

As a trivia: the science done on sleeping was conducted mostly on men (it varies between papers ofc), so women get barely any reliable data. Moreover, it is speculated that women, in fact, need more of that sleep than your average men

It's also important if you're sleeping with a partner or alone, because that also affects your sleep. And yes, it depends on the gender, again, because (again, no real, big scale science was done on it, at least not to my knowledge) apparently men sleep better with a partner, when it's the opposite for women

TL;DR

It is, as with everything, very dependent on circumstances, your gender and the way you sleep. If you really wanna use this theory, then i recommend you use equation like:

for the most accurate results
