firefox uses relatively less ram and is much more customisable than chrome. but i suggest testing both of them yourself using your task manager (or other tools depending on ur OS), since different users have different observations. for some users chrome is lighter than firefox.
if you want a customisable chromium-based browser you can use brave or arc.

Leech block is a good extension that still works on Firefox, not on chrome tho, it allows you to block sites. Also just like James I'd use uBlock (ad and tracker blocker), and maybe the clear cache extension

harvard offers a free introduction course to computer science, called CS50

and maybe chatgpt can help you, although take every response with a grain of salt

The single most important thing you have to know: If you want to learn how to code, you have to code yourself. Try figuring out problems, and only if you cant get anywhere, then look for answers on google etc.

but that muscle memory can only be developed by coding yourself

so write code once you learned the basics, youll figure stuff out while you code.
