For people who have the DMs problem with battling, here is how to fix it. This may not work for everyone, and it may not be the only way, but I'll show you a way that worked for me and other people.
STEP 1: If the DMs aren't showing in battle your current battle, cancel and restart.
STEP 2: Use the p!battle a command in the DMs with Poketwo. Other text or commands might work, but I use p!battle a. In your DMs it will say 'You aren't in battle!' and that is what is supposed to happen. Then try adding ur pokemon in the channel where you are battling
STEP 3: Your DMs should pop up, and select the emoji for the move you want to do. Only that one move will work, and that is fine. Cancel that battle.
STEP 4: Restart a new battle and it should work normally. If it still doesn't work idk what else is there to do

Not all moves are working the way it suppose to in this bot, just like what you said and things like 2 turns move (eg. Hyper beam) works in 1 turn, almost every status moves dont work, ohko moves dont work, its a thing, for obvious reasons its known. Dev planning on making a battle rewrite to bassicly rewrite and fix a lot of battling bugs at the same time, with also gen 8 moves on the way
