Absolutely, that's been the worst problem I've dealt with when using this bot. Having one should count, I couldn't tell ya just how many pokemon I missed that I needed for my dex.

If trading/buying pokemon counts to dex, it would be too fast and then everyone starts complaining theres nothing more to do in the bot.

I have what I believe might be a bug to report. The spawnrate for budew is very low (like 3k) and same as Leavanny, while swadloon, its evolution, spawns a lot more regularly. Is this intended?

Someone could just trade you their whole inventory to fill the dex, it can also be abused by alts that way to complete the quests

It's because the female sign is part of the nidoran's name in the bot whereas other pokemons don't have their gender name sign with themselves. Hence the ♀️ won't work with them

It's because nidoran female is a separate species than nidoran male. All the other pokemon are just a gender difference, and are the same pokemon (not counting gender evos, as those count as split evos)

If you find the image does not match pokemon name this is likely due to a lag spike causing an image to spawn while the bot did not receive the pokemon to send. Here are a few things you can do:

1. Make sure you're spelling the name correctly
2. Do @Pokétwo#8236 hint and try to figure out the pokemon based on the hint
3. Send the hint to #whos-that-pokémon to see if someone else knows the pokemon
   While these can help you catch the pokemon in the hint you can not catch the pokemon in the image if you notice the hint doesn't match

So there are these things called shard (not the poke2 currency) and it could be that the shard that server is in is down and that's why the bot isn't responding. However that's only my suspicion, I cannot diagnose this.

I do suspect the shard thing i mentioned, if you and the other person were to both drop your server ID's then witherr (top tier developer) could confirm/deny but I'm not sure much can be done to fix it aside from waiting for the shard to come back online

Make sure you ping the bot, not the role of the bot (see gif).

This can sometimes happen when you copy paste commands.

How do i make sure i ping the bot or the role?

Tap the ping, if the bot profile doesnt show up, that means you pinged the role.

For a permanent solution, rename the bot's assigned role to something else if you have the permission.

in particular, going back one from Hero Palafin brings up Three-Segment Dudunsparce
this is due to how the forms are given internal dex numbers greater than 10,000

I’m in a server that uses poketwo and there are some issues with guessing the pokemon correctly and it not catching them

They are using incense, the name is spelled correctly as is the command and a by the end of the thirty seconds( or however many seconds is left) the pokemon still flees.

Worked except when the command was used with pokemon name. For almost 48h. New one spawned, went back to normal. Hence I think it's a bug, just not sure what caused it.

As you can see, it spawned, commands failed, did without name & it worked, then failed with name again immediately after.

Showed green in status, and u see commands worked...kinda.

No clue what the server I'd is, & name changes a bit at owners whim.

Make sure you ping the bot, not the role of the bot (see gif).

This can sometimes happen when you copy paste commands.

How do i make sure i ping the bot or the role?

Tap the ping, if the bot profile doesnt show up, that means you pinged the role.

For a permanent solution, rename the bot's assigned role to something else if you have the permission.

Can someone tell me if I'm the only server offline right now for p2? It's been this way since November 24th and hasn't come back online. Kicked bot, readded, worked fine for over a year then all of a sudden stopped for no reason. Re adding with same perms did not help at all 😦 Bot online until I invite it then immediately goes offline. Does anyone know why this happened?

I dont think that worked for the others I read up there with the same issue either 😦 and also it comes with its own role when invited. I also tried doing with and without invite perms just in case something was bugged that way, but neither time worked. Have tried a bunch of different things over the last few weeks, mainly waiting without it being in server for a while for it to fix after the couple times bot went down but nothing seems to work 🤔

When inviting it same way into a server with same setup, it works so I really don't understand 😕

Adding a fourth number prevents your opponent from seeing only the person who adds first is supposed to hide or else the duel won't start if you add second without hide your still fine, as the duel starts right away.

Things to avoid

Shady duelers, aka (I added the wrong mons can we add the same again)
Example of this | Your in a duel and the second person adds 3 and one of them is not maxed out and clearly not a duel, if they request a redo with same duels unless you have reason to trust them it is safer to just restart with new mons.
Avoid adding in the same channel as much as possible to avoid them memorizing your ids/guessing your mons.

It has now been a month since the bot went unresponsive in my one server. Really disappointing considering the new event just started and this time it's one that would be better to do with a friend :(

•On December 14 we removed the bot and reinvited it back to the server as suggested by a mod here. It did nothing. Bot permissions were also not changed prior to any of this happening
•Jade (my friend) says the bot will sometimes show as online for her when she pings but bot will not actually respond to commands (I have yet to see this for myself on my end but I trust her considering @thorny condor and I think one other person has said the same thing happened to them)
•Bot is still online and responsive in my personal server (no pics this time, seems unnecessary)
