Make sure you ping the bot, not the role of the bot (see gif).

This can sometimes happen when you copy paste commands.

How do i make sure i ping the bot or the role?

Tap the ping, if the bot profile doesnt show up, that means you pinged the role.

For a permanent solution, rename the bot's assigned role to something else if you have the permission.

Unsure if this is a bug, but I just saw someone catch a galarian form slowpoke simply by saying slowpoke in the catch message instead of galarian slowpoke

It’s the new easier way of catching different variation of a Pokémon. Ex: “@honest fiber c zigzagoon” whenever there’s a galarian zigzagoon on the screen.

If you find the image does not match pokemon name this is likely due to a lag spike causing an image to spawn while the bot did not receive the pokemon to send. Here are a few things you can do:

1. Make sure you're spelling the name correctly
2. Do @Pokétwo#8236 hint and try to figure out the pokemon based on the hint
3. Send the hint to #whos-that-pokémon to see if someone else knows the pokemon
   While these can help you catch the pokemon in the hint you can not catch the pokemon in the image if you notice the hint doesn't match

Hey, witherr, hellow!! . i know the issue is know and probably being investigating right now, about skiping spawns and sometimes the pokemon image appears, but you simply cant catch.

But i think i probably found a pattern, idk if has been reported. Everytime the image of a pokemon spawns but you simply cant catch, apparently the catching message of the previous pokemon was sent after the image of the current spawn, like the image below. Specially doing multilpe incenses at once, 15/16, everytime it happened to me not be able to catch, it had this pattern. Idk if that can help someway

Here I will explain exactly what happened here as these attachments may be too vague to understand

• I was in another server and was sent a trade where I was ever so kindly given 230 varooms and revavrooms that pinkii had also kindly paid for (tysm guys)
• the trade proceeded to go through as normal. However it got stuck on 'executing trade...'
• this then resulted in me not receiving the varooms then like 2mins later finding out that neneko still had the varooms
• additionally, with the trade being stuck on 'executing trade...' neneko was still able to send a trade to pinkii whilst the previous trade was never even completed or even cancelled!!!

You're not actually losing any progress, it raised your level by 2 instead of 1 when you last levelled up due to a bug and now you're just making up for that extra level

If you find the image does not match pokemon name this is likely due to a lag spike causing an image to spawn while the bot did not receive the pokemon to send. Here are a few things you can do:

1. Make sure you're spelling the name correctly
2. Do @Pokétwo#8236 hint and try to figure out the pokemon based on the hint
3. Send the hint to #whos-that-pokémon to see if someone else knows the pokemon
   While these can help you catch the pokemon in the hint you can not catch the pokemon in the image if you notice the hint doesn't match

noticed a bug that if you do many evolve commands, at some amount in between to 20-30 (idk when exactly, but 30 is the cap) it doesn´t send the message saying they evolved but still successfully does the command. you can see the same sentrets have become furrets in this image but the bot didn´t send the evolve message. I saw it a few days ago too doing the same thing, I´ll test around to see what amount it starts doing that at

edit 1: 20 at once works
edit 2: 25 at once doesn´t show the evolve messages
edit 3: 21 at once works
edit 4: 23 works, tested with weedle cause i ran out of sentrets lol
edit 5: 24 works, tested with weedles again
edit 6: 25 stops working, with weedle as well

okay yea so after some testing it seems that 25 is the point it doesn´t send the evolve message anymore(?) it may be some sort of cap to how long discords lets the message be

for 24 weedles, the message is 2761 characters long, with 49 lines. so with one more line, it would hit 50. maybe that´s some sort of cap, dunno

Not exactly. The user who caught it clearly says he sent the catch message last. Sometimes the bot simply skips/ignores catch messages, which is obvious if you reload discord or check on an alt you can see your catch message was first but got ignored. Latency issues are only visual.
