Having a bit of an issue on a server... for some reason, the bot seems to be ignoring my commands. Others seem to be able to do things just fine... due to this, I've not been able to catch pokemon in two days there, any ideas?

I am, and I even just tested by making sure to do @pok and then pointedly made sure to select the actual bot name and not the role, and same issue.

Even after I just did it, someone else immediately did it and it worked for them, heh.
The bot works in messages, but it doesn't offer pokemon in messages, so can't really do that there

just drop the topic, the bug report has been received and is not likely a problem with the bots code as all other incenses still seem to have the regular 20 second interval. any speed up would probably be caused by lag and cant really be fixed easily. If you feel like the bot has made you unable to catch pokemon, please send further proof showing more than 3 spawns a minute here or in DMs to get a refund for your incense

I can explain the stopincense gap. The bot wasn't accepting commands when I kicked it, as evidenced in one screenshot. Then, I only found out about the command after doing some more digging around. This is the first time it's happened, so I wasn't entirely sure what to do.

I had reinvited the bot about 10 minutes before I used the stopincense command. If the timer continues after being kicked, then that's something I wouldn't have been able to resolve regardless.

If you find the image does not match pokemon name this is likely due to a lag spike causing an image to spawn while the bot did not receive the pokemon to send. Here are a few things you can do:

1. Make sure you're spelling the name correctly
2. Do p!h and try to figure out the pokemon based on the hint
3. Send the hint to #whos-that-pokémon to see if someone else knows the pokemon
   While these can help you catch the pokemon in the hint you can not catch the pokemon in the image if you notice the hint doesn't match

Fuzz it looks like you're maybe running multiple incenses at a time and having to rush through to catch. Usually if you get the command in right before the next spawn it's doesn't count it

How do pokemon spawn?

24 Valid Messages in the entire server are required to spawn 1 pokemon.

Valid Message Definition

1. is 1.5 seconds apart for each user.
2. is 1 second apart for the entire server.
3. is not a Poketwo Bot Command.
4. is not a message from a Bot.

Incense and Redeem are other methods to spawn Pokémon.
Check ?tag incense? and ?tag redeem? for more information respectively.

If pokemon do not spawn

1 Make sure the bot has the following permissions:

View Channel, Read Message History, Send Messages

2 Kick and reinvite the bot might be able to get the bot to function.
If the bot does not send the welcome message after reinviting, the bot may be in an outage.

selfbotting is making a normal discord user account automate stuff
which can be as small as just making your account react to any message automatically(like some users randomly messaging after using &say command)
and can be as big as autocatcher(spamming to spawn pokemons and then catching them with image identification)
there are more stuff like people automatically changing their status and stuff

roles are given when you level up ig
so you have to level up again to get all roles back
mods can give you roles manually too ig
