We're introducing #1019656562119295098 today!

It's forum channel, a new Discord feature that organizes threads into "posts" that users can create. We're experimenting with this feature to give #want-to-sell and #want-to-buy posts dedicated space, where you can carry out or negotiate the trade without needing to switch channels.

Make sure to read the Post Guidelines on the right side of the channel view and also tag your post appropriately with either the Selling or Buying tags as well as any other ones that apply. These channels allow you to negotiate and trade in the thread without needing to move to DMs / another channel. When posting in these channels, you no longer need to say "dm if interested" — just use the thread! Also, don't forget to close the thread when finished.

We'll be trialing this channel to see how well it works for now. If it works well, the plan is to fully replace both old channels with this new one. If you have any feedback, please provide that in the pinned post!

But we have a solution, and we want you to help! Here's the idea:

From here on in, buying Pokémon spawns from redeems with pc and gambling shiny hunt results for other content (pc/shinies/anything poketwo) is not allowed in this server.
To elaborate, we've seen a rise in forum threads about redeeming someone a pokemon and getting that pokemon back +some PC. This is basically gambling which is also banned here. Anyone seen to be advertising this can and will be punished by staff. We will not support any scams that occur outside of this server.

Why are we banning this?
Buying pokemon this way is a one-way-ticket to getting scammed. Also, you're opening yourself up to getting your redeem stolen if someone is lurking.

Recently there have been a new wave of players scamming with a fake Pokétwo bot. The real Pokétwo bot will always have a check mark next to the bot symbol. Remember that the safest place to trade is in the official server as it will never have a fake bot in it.
In addition, the Pokétwo bot will always have the tag #8236. Check this as well, just to be extra sure!

We have noticed an increase in a certain scam in this server regarding users asking for common Pokémon and offering a premade command with a list of mostly common Pokémon.

Be aware that in most of these situations, there is in fact a shiny or legendary in the list.

Read thoroughly through that premade list or don't just copy paste this!
Favourite your shinies and important rare Pokémon, so they won't be added to the trade.

Anyone using this type of scam in this server, will be banned.

Hey @everyone!

We're introducing a new leveling system to this server, based on activity. This enables you to earn more privileges as you participate and level up in this server. We're starting with the following perks (more may be added later):

Level 5: Change Nickname
Level 15: Create Tags
Level 30: Send Images
Levels 10, 25, 35, 50: Additional Incense Channels
Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80: Colors!

Some of you might notice that you already have a level. We ran an experiment starting a few weeks ago where we turned on the leveling system, but silently, not notifying anyone besides staff, to help us calibrate the levels. However, these perks were not active during the experiment, and the bot is gradually going through and giving out the missing perks — if you think you should have a role you don't yet, hang tight!

Over the coming weeks, we might also recalibrate the leveling curve to fit our goals more, so you might also notice your levels moving around and your perks changing occasionally.

If you have any feedback on the levels, or perks you want to suggest, feel free to let us know.

Hiya, just a quick mention on the reports. We have a new system that lets you discuss / provide additional context to moderators in a thread.

The command was a little bugged previously, but is working properly now:

?report <user> [nsfw=False] <reason>
/report user: <user> reason: <reason> nsfw: False

You can use either the prefix command or the slash command. The benefit of using the slash command is that other users browsing the channel won't be able to see that you made the report, since it will respond with an ephemeral message that only you can see.

As you may have noticed, we've made the decision to remove the Helper role. We found that, while the role served as a way to highlight specific people to help any unsure community members with the bot, we struggled maintaining this role and noticed some unforeseen inequality with some members who had given up a lot of precious time to help out but weren't given the role.

We'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our wonderful helpers, whether you had the role or not. Your time is highly appreciated and we are so grateful to have so many people willing to help out and volunteer in such a large community as this one.

Giveaways are back! @everyone

As you may have noticed, community giveaways are back: check out #giveaways-1 to #giveaways-6! Anyone can send in one of their pokémon to be given away to random members of the community, provided it meets certain minimum requirements.
(Currently, rare or event pokémon with IV > 60%, pokémon with IV > 90% or < 10%, or shiny pokémon of any kind.)

We've come up with a new automated system so you won't need to DM people to submit giveaways anymore.
Simply use the /giveaway start pokemon: message: or ?giveaway <pokemon> <message> command to submit a giveaway for approval:
• the pokemon argument is the index of the pokémon in your Pokétwo inventory, like the @Pokétwo info <pokemon> command or similar.
• the message argument is a short message that will be sent along with your giveaway. Please make sure it follows the server rules.

Once you run the command, server admins must approve your giveaway request, and then, it will be automatically started in one of the giveaway channels, or placed in the queue to start when a channel is available. The pokémon will also be automatically removed from your inventory and sent to the winner.

If you're feeling generous, please try out the new command 🙂 or let us know any feedback you have on this new system.

About 2 months ago we had to temporarily close want-to-trade due to a large amount of abuse and misuse that was becoming too tolling on the staff team to moderate. While it took longer than we would've liked due to unforeseen circumstances, during this time we have thoroughly discussed the problems regarding this channel, reformed the rules, and put in place a new system that will hopefully help make it a better place to carry out trades and deals.

What happened?

During the time want-to-trade has been around, it has helped users tremendously in finding interested buyers and making deals that are just not achievable through market and auctions. Unfortunately though, the facility of being able to create your own thread has been extremely misused and abused, even more so than it has proved to be useful. Some of these issues include, but are not limited to:

Forming of personal "clans" and "groups" within these threads, creating a divide between users in the server and causing mass-scale drama and toxicity.
Usage of these threads as personal channels for chatting and hanging out, like personal group chats. - This created way more opportunities for bad actors to misbehave outside of moderators' direct view, among hundreds of threads.
Usage of these threads as personal bot-commands channels. - This bloated the forum channel and caused legitimate trade posts to get drowned by the huge amount of spam caused by the usage of commands.

What has changed?

Posts will now automatically close after 7 days (active or not). There will be reminders sent at the 1d and 1h marks. This was a change we deemed necessary in order to discourage the usage of these threads as personal channels.
- This also means that your old posts are no longer open, but you can still read them.
We have made rules stricter and will enforce them with more care and deliberation in order to keep this clean and useful for legitimate users. You can read the updated rules at #1019665663947722864 message and it's always pinned in #1019656562119295098!
Using these threads as personal channels/group chats/bot-commands channel is outside the scope of this channel. Please create a personal server instead.

Why?

We have around 50+ public channels in this server; for chatting, trading, catching, battling, bot commands, etc. Moderating all these already is a challenging task with our voluntary team of staff members. Along with this, we have a plethora of reports across both of our servers at any given moment. Now, as you may or may not know, forum channels can have hundreds to thousands of threads open at one time, there is no limit. Even when used by the rules, just the sheer number of these threads already exhausts a good chunk of our moderation resources. If these threads are used as personal groups/channels, it is not an exaggeration to say that it is impossible for us to moderate and maintain order.

During the time this channel has been closed, we've received an overwhelming amount of requests to bring it back. Clearly, this is a channel that is greatly appreciated by the community. We're happy with the changes we've made and hope that these will help make it a cleaner place to find trades! Thank you for your understanding!

These games focus on rolling a random number for an x amount of Pokécoins. The number that is rolled will be added to the trade. Cancelling the trade could cause an irritation / argument.
To keep a healthy and safe environment, we consider this game gambling.

Other similar games / concepts are not allowed either. These threads are to promote what you are selling and buying, not for minigames. The threads will be closed.

Hey y'all!

We've made some changes to the Guiduck automod rule for Spamming. We felt that this infraction was inadequate in detecting spam, and also too harsh with punishments when it did.

So we've made the following changes to improve these issues:

The spam threshold has been lowered. Now, it will detect you as spamming if you send 10 messages within 12 seconds (previously 15 messages within 17 seconds).

This increase in strictness is to detect harmful spam that was previously going undetected by the bot. For those of you who catch a lot, please keep this in mind when you are catching in many channels at once.

To ease the strictness, especially introduced by the above change, we have significantly lowered the harshness of the punishments given for spamming. Now, the punishments based on your recent spamming infractions will be: 1h Mute -> 6h Mute -> 12h Mute -> 1d Mute -> 3d Mute -> Permanent Ban (previously 1d Mute -> Permanent Ban)

To clarify, don't login with your Discord account to new websites, meaning websites you don't know or trust. Websites like voting websites are fine (they use OAuth anyway and don't ask you to login directly on their website)! Just make sure to always triple check the website URL.

However, do not put your Discord password into any website other than official Discord. And do not scan any QR codes with your mobile Discord app that isn't from the official Discord website (triple check). Discord's QR can be used to quickly login on PC from your mobile and it completely bypasses 2fa, so it's especially important that you are extra careful when scanning any QR codes with this.

Recently there has been a scam going around where someone will pretend like they mistakenly reported your account to Discord, and ask you to give a "statement" and account details to an account posing to be Discord support. Please remember that Discord would NEVER conduct support anywhere except their official website (https://support.discord.com) or ask for account details from you. Do not share account details or scan any QR codes through Discord regardless of who it is from.

Accounts that do this are most likely hacked as well. So it also can come from friends or people you know if their account has been hacked. If someone reaches out to you in this way, please report them to Discord and to us via the ?report command. Here is an example of what this could look like:

The FFA (Free-For-All) Nature of Catching Channels

Hey everyone. We have noticed a significant amount of toxicity and harassment in catching channels lately from users pressuring people to reserve shinyhunt/collection spawns for others. We want to remind everyone that all catching channels are Free For All, meaning that anyone is free to catch anything they want, no one is obligated to save spawns for others.

Anyone is welcome to request other catchers to ping for their hunts/collections, but nobody should be made to feel guilty for catching things they want. Likewise, pinging others for spawns they want is a nice thing to do, but nobody is obligated to honor it or return the favor.

Moving forward, we will treat instances of this as harassment and stricter punishments will be given out accordingly. Here is a non-exhaustive list of things that will count as harassment:

Asking a user repeatedly to ping for spawns, especially after they've expressed their intention not to.
Giving a user grief, harassing or causing guilt for a user for not pinging for a spawn. This includes individual action as well as targeted, organized, group harassments.
Harassing users for "hogging" channels (catching on multiple channels at once).
Calling people "snipers" or other similar words for catching certain pokemon.
similarly on the other side of the coin,
Responding rudely to requests of pinging/letting someone catch—please just politely decline and move on if you don't want to.
Taunting people (e.g. by @-ing) after catching something they shinyhunt/collect; catching things out of spite and clearly flaunting it to make them feel bad. (the underlined part is important, do not accuse people of spite catching just for catching certain pokémon)
and for both sides,
Responding back rudely in face of toxicity—please just report, you are no better if you respond in the same way.

We have created a new channel and posted our catching rules there for easier access: #catching-rules, along with the existing pinned messages. Please thoroughly read and abide by them in order to help us maintain a positive experience for all. Do not mini moderate, report instead!

We hope this message is a reminder to all to treat each other with kindness and respect.

Crosstrading

First of all, there have been more crosstrading advertisements occurring both in this server and DMs recently. Please remember that crosstrading Pokétwo items (pokécoins, pokémon, etc) for external items (irl money, Discord nitro, cryptocurrency, other bot items, etc) is strictly prohibited, and will lead to a suspension of your Pokétwo account. And since these trades are unofficial, a lot of times they are scams anyway. Knowingly associating with these users will also lead to action being taken on your Pokétwo account.

Autocatching

Secondly, there have been more autocatcher advertisements coming up as well. Autocatching or any form of automation of your Discord account (aka selfbotting) is strictly prohibited by both Pokétwo TOS and Discord TOS. Participating in such activities or associating with such users knowingly will lead to a permanent suspension of your Pokétwo and Discord account.

Our Terms of Service

Autocatching and crosstrading create very unfair circumstances for people who play the bot legitimately for fun. It gives unfair advantages and creates an unhealthy environment for players while also putting your Discord account at risk. Please read our Terms of Service for more details on our terms against selfbotting and crosstrading.

Moreover, most of these advertisers are selfbot accounts themselves, which is against Discord Terms of Service and associating with these accounts can sometimes lead to your Discord account receiving termination as well.

If you find any such users, please report them to us using ?report, #reports or at our support server, to help us protect you and others, thank you!

We have noticed an increase in a certain scam regarding users asking for a loan to buy event Pokémon, with the promise to return the loan amount with high interest. All of these trade requests are scams!

When loaning, please be extremely cautious of who you are giving loans out to, and be sure to get something of greater value in return in the same trade, (also called: collateral) to ensure you secure your assets.

As a final reminder, it is your own responsibility to evaluate trades you make. Staff members will not reimburse any losses that have originated from these scams. It’s the staff team’s duty to keep large scale scam activity to a minimum - but it is ultimately the member's responsibility to ensure you don’t find yourself a victim in these scams. Please remember OS is the safest place to trade!

Scamming may lead to a ban from the Official Server and/or permanent suspension of your account.

If you find someone scamming users or attempting to do so, please create a report in #reports to notify staff.

Hey @everyone,

We hope you enjoyed your New Year's celebrations. Our team wishes we could be accompanying those with good news, but we unfortunately have some bad news to share.

It has come to our attention that one of our recent trial staff members that we decided not to keep has scraped the contents of at least two of our moderation channel contents. Unfortunately, this is a huge breach in not only our team's privacy, but this community's. This will be a lengthy announcement in an effort to provide you guys with details and transparency on what's occurred.

First and foremost, our team wants to apologize for the enormous breach in privacy. This never should have happened and is the culmination of several lapses in our judgement. We understand that this deals a great blow to the community's trust in our ability to maintain their privacy, namely those kind souls who've risked their friendships and harassment to blow the whistle on the rule-breaking actions of those around them.

This is the course of events that led us here:

Trial moderators have historically gained access to a plethora of staff-only channels as a training resource displaying our moderation policies in action. We screen our applicants extremely thoroughly, so we have not felt the need to distrust those that we hire, but unfortunately there's a first time for everything.
In our second-most recent batch of trials, we re-hired Sept, a retired staff member. Despite some conflicts and concerns during her trial phase, we decided to give the benefit of the doubt and promote her.
In the batch that followed, her girlfriend Diane was brought on as a trial moderator.
Throughout Diane's trial, we suspected that Sept was disclosing private staff details to Diane. We've now not only received evidence of this, but of further leaks to other trials from that batch.
Throughout this trial, internal conflict with Sept also arose. Her behavior with other staff members became extremely hostile, and her judgement and professionalism were shown to be entirely compromised. Sept failed to uphold internal staff policies, abused moderator permissions to protect her friends from the consequences of rule-breaking behavior, and showed other examples of extremely biased conduct. For these reasons, our management team made the difficult decision to demote Sept.
The conflict of interest posed by Diane's relationship with Sept was too glaring and risky to overlook, so we had to make the tough decision to demote her too, despite her promising moderation skills. We did, however, extend to her the offer to return for a retrial at a later time.
Unfortunately, our judgement lapsed twice more during the course of these events, as Diane remained on our team for several days after Sept's demotion, and again for another day after Diane herself was given her demotion message. During this window was when she scraped confidential data from our channels.

Below is a list of what we've confirmed to be compromised, as well as what we suspect may have been, due to her access.

Our moderation commands channel. This is the channel in which the majority of our user's punishments are conducted, as well as discussion of those punishments. However, as staff spend a lot of time in there, personal details about our lives have also been disclosed in there, as well as staff's venting about frustrating users.
Our Suspend-and-Reason channel. Unfortunately, this channel's data is the biggest compromise. In this channel we both store information on all users we've suspended, but their reporters as well- those users who've taken the initiative to report their peers or friends.
Our staff guidelines. Ultimately, this is not compromising, staff simply used these to ensure continuity and fairness in implemented punishments.

This is what might have also been taken:

Our trial-staff discussion channel. Fortunately for you guys, this is a channel in which we predominantly just chat, and more than anything compromises our privacy, not the community's.
Our staff suggestions, updates, and meeting summary channels. Ultimately, these are also not really compromising, but contain details of our policies and their changes over time.
A few other ultimately non-compromising channels, such as our retired staff channel, staff games channel, etc.
Below is our plan of action to correct this breach to the best of our ability.
The two users responsible for this breach, Sept and Diane, have been both banned from our server and suspended from Poketwo, alongside all connected alternate accounts, permanently.
These two have also been reported to discord for both selfbotting to scrape this data, and for doxxing. We have evidence to support both of these and are taking every measure possible to correct this leak.
On top of this, all users found to be seeking out this leaked data, spreading it, or participating in any way in this enormous doxx of user and staff privacy, will also be permanently banned from our server and suspended from Poketwo.
- One, and only one, exception has been made to this rule- the user to which Sept and Diane first leaked their evidence, who was naive of the gravity of the situation, and prior to our team's decision on what the consequences would be. Now that these have been decided, exceptions will not be made, and should that user participate again, a third chance will not be given.

Lastly, below are some details of some of our internal restructuring steps that we will be taking in order to prevent this from happening again.

We will be restricting much more heavily what our trial moderators have access to upon hire. Previous channels will either be archived entirely, or message history removed so that it's contents are not visible.
Reporter ID's will no longer be stored with our suspension evidence, nor will they be accessible to trial staff.
Once again, we want to apologize for our mistakes that led to this situation. We take this breach extremely seriously and will continue to take all actions at our disposal to correct them and limit the spread of that leaked data. We encourage all community members with any information regarding this to come foreward, though we acknowledge the glarings reasons to distrust our ability to protect your privacy. These new measures above will be applied to all future reports, including those related to this.

We recently noticed a new type of scam becoming more common - users copy the nickname, profile picture, and approximate the username of a friend or someone you know, then ask for things like loans or pokemon to hold.

To avoid falling victim to these scams, please carefully check who you are giving free things to - such as checking your existing dms with the user or verifying their username/user ID. Check the username closely, the difference might only be a period! Please understand that safe trading is the user's responsibility, and we do not conduct refunds for scams.

If you see anyone conducting or attempting this type of scam, please report them using the ?report command or #reports channel, as this is a punishable offense, is unacceptable behavior within both our server and the Poketwo bot community, and user impersonation is a violation of Discord's TOS.

On that note, we have officially gone through with the splitting of the Admin role into two: Server Admin and Bot Admin, dealing with their respective domains.

We felt that the Admin role was too big a responsibility and the wide range of permissions made it way more difficult to recruit more members to the team.

Moving forward (although this has existed for a while now), Server Admins will manage the server side of Pokétwo i.e. Staff Team, Server Management, Ban Appeals, etc. While Bot Admins will deal with Suspensions, Suspension Appeals, Bot ToS related things, etc. Although almost all changes still go through the entire team before actually applying.

The Admin role is no longer an official role, only Oliver will still keep the role as head of Pokétwo. We hope that with this change the teams will move with more urgency, function independently and appoint new members to the teams without depending on an overarching Admin team (which has been 2-3 people (lately just 1 when I'm dead too) for a long time).

Bot Admins: @digital escarp @elder swan @zealous walrus

The bot admin team in particular is the most understaffed as most of us are here solely as a mentor and not as an active Bot Admin, and activity has been waning on that end too due to other responsibilities and real life priorities. For example I've been extremely busy with uni and my personal life and barely even been able to find time for even Developer, let alone Bot Admin. For a while @north python (now retired) and now @zealous walrus has been holding down the fort all on their own and that has been insanely tiring on their part. And some things Suspension Appeals (over 1000 rn) have been impossible to keep up with all alone.

hey all, i cleared my 70+ dm requests (and pings in this server) as i was finding it very overwhelming and needed a clean slate.

please do not dm me about suspensions and appeals, i've decided to just ignore those dms as i can't do anything about that through dms. as you know the state of the admin team is not good (only im remaining, with 0 motivation, only because nobody else is here. taz is the only other one but is not able to be active at the moment due to personal issues). you can appeal on the website but there will be no progress for now as we work on getting the admin team back together (things are moving albeit slow)

if you dmed me about something else please feel free to re-dm! (like development related or asking about p2 features/code that only i can answer or suggestions/bug reports)

Posting in this channel will result in an automatic, temporary ban. This has been created to combat the ever-growing "check my bio"/"look at this camgirl"/mrbeast scams going around and compromising wave after wave of user accounts.

On this note, PLEASE do not click fishy links or scan QR codes in your DMs, in people's bios, or ones that make it past our server filters. These typically look like offers to access free NSFW content, and instead lead to a fake Discord site which will harvest your login data, leading to your account getting hacked. We recommend enabling 2FA to combat this scam and practicing basic internet safety (don't click sus stuff).

We hit 10,000 members a few days ago, so we're now on Server Discovery! This means that this server is now a "public server", and people will be able to find it in the search bar on the bottom left. Also, if someone clicks on an emoji from this server they'll be able to see that it's from this server.

Just added a quick tool to @tropic adder. We added a tool for people to mark themselves as "collecting" a pokémon species in a public directory (if they wish), and also view who other people are collecting and who is collecting a species.

• ?collect add <species> to add a pokémon to your collecting list.
• ?collect remove <species> to remove a pokémon to your collecting list.
• ?collect clear to clear your collecting list.
• ?collect [member] to view your or someone else's collecting list

Please don't put 𝕗𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕪, 𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕪𝕡𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕤 into your nickname—it makes it really annoying for people to find or ping you. Also, don't put characters like !"#$%&'()*+,-./ at the start of your nickname to hoist yourself to the top of the member list.

Let's have some fun! For this activity, we'll be doing a fun set of estimation questions. You will be given a couple of large quantities, and your job is to guess to the best of your ability what you think the value of that quantity is.

For each question, you'll receive a score of min(a/c, c/a)^2, where c is the correct answer and a is your guess. Whoever has the highest total score wins! I would recommend putting some thought into your answers—break down the numbers into smaller groups and extrapolate.

Top 5 estimators will receive the <@&780313117434314752> role for 2 weeks and the following:
1st place: 300 shards
2nd place: 200 shards
3rd place: 100 shards
4th place: 50 shards
5th place: 50 shards

The scoring formula has been changed to min(a/c, c/a)^2 (instead of ^3) because people are a lot worse at guessing than I had expected..

In all honesty, this probably won't change who wins the top few places, but it might change some standings down the line because it favors getting multiple semi-close answers versus a single really-close answer more than the previous formula does.

Regarding harassment:
Remember that our trial price checkers are selected based on their high scores on the quiz. We ask for your understanding as they are still learning - DM or ping them politely about any mistakes, or if you want to discuss a price check. Please do not harass them in any way, form, or manner, and treat them as you would another member of staff. They labor daily to bring you quality checks, and if you think that you can take their jobs, take the price checker quiz here: https://forms.gle/GW216gcEPKt7WEdt7 . If you have any concerns about their skill, contact one of the staff members and we will reevaluate their checks.
However, no harassment towards any members of the community is tolerated. If you are being harassed, you can privately DM one of the staff members and we can take action.

Please make sure to do such activities in the right channels. That means no trading in #general, no advertising in #trading-1, and no spamming bot commands in #chatting-talk. Hey @everyone ! We have very important news today regarding both staff and our rules.

Staff Reorganization & New Staff

Recently, staff roles have become messy, without a clear distinction of responsibilities. To improve organization, the <@&732712709514199110> role, similar to the <@&740413811521224765> role, is no longer part of core staff. Helpers are distinguished community members who answer people's questions in places like #questions-help. Actual moderation will be the responsibility of <@&724879492622843944> and <@&783763755212603443>. These are the people you should alert if you see our rules or Code of Conduct (read below) being broken.

With that, we'd also like to introduce a new moderator—@spiral widget—and the following helpers:

Congratulations! If you were not selected, don't be discouraged, and feel free to try again in the future.

New Rules & Code of Conduct

Our original rules were written a while ago, and our server has grown significantly since then. To reduce confusion and reflect new, updated values, we've rewritten our rules to be more comprehensive. Please read through the new rules in #rules as well as our Code of Conduct, which shall be followed at all times. They are also available online:

We'll generally be following a two-strike policy for our rules. If you have a ongoing problem with a specific community member (harassment, for instance), it may be better to directly contact one of the staff members. @everyone In an effort to make our rules and punishments more consistent, we will no longer be making punishments based on unfair trades, if both parties involved in the trade agreed at the time of the trade.

It is solely your responsibility to ensure that you are getting a fair deal. To do so, you are highly encouraged to do the following:

• Price all pokémon in the #price-check channel.
• Research trades and auctions with similar pokémon from the past.
• Ask for other trainers' opinions if unsure about the fairness of trade.
• Don't give into pressure to buy or sell immediately. You can always try again later.
• Read through the trading tips document linked in #trading-gate.

Because of this significant change, we're requiring all traders to re-gate before getting access to the trading channels. Please re-read through the rules so you fully understand. In addition, this new policy will only affect trades going forward. Past punishments based on our former policies will not be lifted.

Keep in mind that we still reserve the right to punish disruptive users, trading-related or not, who violate our Code of Conduct.

I've just conducted an review of recent command history and issued a banwave of over 500 users found autocatching. Remember, autocatching is against both Pokétwo rules and the Discord Terms of Service. If you are caught doing so, your account will be suspended from Pokétwo and reported to Discord.

Hello everyone!

This is the follow-up to the previous statement. Recently there have been a large number of accounts sending suspicious links. As it turns out, most of these accounts are actual users whose accounts have been compromised. A couple steps you can take so that you don't end up like these unfortunate people.

Change your discord password. This will disable hackers' access into your account, even if it previously compromised.
Turn 2FA on. This will stop future hackers from logging into your account.
Learn basic internet safety. DON'T put your login information into random websites. Try to use different passwords for different sites (steam, discord, etc). Check to make sure the discord you are logging into is the legitimate discord.

Pinged everyone because it seems a lot of people were compromised and were not even aware of it. Even if you think you are tech-savy enough, please consider taking the steps above.

Hello guys,

Recently there have been quite a number of scams going on. While trading, I would be extremely cautious of entering someone else's server to trade. The safest place to trade and not get scammed is in OS. Take it slow, make sure everything is correct, and then confirm. I would also be cautious of accounts with low creation dates (a month or so) as banned scammers have been making alternate accounts to continue scamming. You can check their account age and join date with ?whois <@ping-the-person> or ?whois <the person's discord id>, removing the < > of course.

A couple updates to tags — @everyone

Tags are no longer case-sensitive. This means that, from now on, ?tag shiny and ?tag sHiNy will give you the same tag. This is a change we've been wanting to make for a while to make them easier to use in general. Since some tags existed with multiple cases before, we've renamed duplicate ones, keeping the tag with the highest number of uses.

Added transferring tags. You can now do ?tag transfer <@member> <tag name> to transfer a tag to another user. The member is the first argument so you won't need to type quote around the tag name if it's multiple words.

Added claiming of abandoned tags. If a user leaves the server, their tags become available for anyone to claim. You can claim an abandoned tag by running ?tag claim <tag name>. However, please don't go around trying to claim all the tags.

Remember, if you want to make a tag with multiple words in the name you can always put quotes around, like so:

?tag create "long name with multiple words" "the content goes here"

Hey @everyone,

This is a little of a different kind of announcement today.

If you aren't familiar with @buoyant crane, she's the manager of our fellow Pokémon bot Mewbot. We've recently started working together on some stuff, and we have an exciting collaboration coming up sometime in the near future (we're waiting on me to finish up some stuff for that).

But the upcoming collaboration isn't what I'd like to tell you about today; rather, Sky and I would like to ask you for a favor. Sky's been through a lot recently—a severe health condition caused her to have to undergo brain surgery, putting immense financial strain on her and her family (since she could not work while going through the whole process). The government insurance that would have completely covered the surgery was also canceled because of a situation with her taxes (Mewbot's income is reported in her name but she sends most of the money back to the original owner, thus she makes significantly less money than on paper), leading to this huge unexpected expense. What's more, her car broke down recently making her unable to travel to her second job just to make ends meet, and she's currently at risk of eviction with lots of bills stacked up.

I don't usually like to ask for personal favors (and neither does Sky) but she's in a really tough spot right now. She's started a fundraising page as a last hope. Although we aren't Mewbot, I am posting her page her to get her as much help as she possibly can (really, anything helps). Recently there have been another wave of players scamming with a FAKE Poketwo bot. The real poketwo bot will ALWAYS have check mark next to the bot symbol. Remember that the safest place to trade is in the official server as it will never have a fake bot in it.

Unfortunately, if you don't have a phone number, you'll just have to content with it for now; ask a parent of friend, perhaps? It won't affect people with roles, though, which is most people who are in the server already.

Scams that happen using Tic Tac Toe (TTT) outside of this server will not be dealt with here, it is up to the server in which the scam occurs to deal with.
