While Force Dark Mode is experimental and probably only has an algorithm, it could look for basic elements like <video> and avoid touching them, as they already have a sort of dark mode within them. I can't see anything on this video element.

So, I installed Opera on my phone, and also ended up adding the Opera News app. This is good. I'm glad I have this it's a handy news app. But Opera GX has a "Personal News" button on the sidebar, asking me to add my own sources.

I quite liked Opera News on my phone, and the way I had that set up, plus the comments section on all the articles was pretty good. Would it be possible to add Opera News integration to Opera GX?

I’m unsure if this is something already planned/has been suggested, but how about account profiles like chrome has? I found these especially useful when I had to get into online school, as now I didn’t need to log into everything, it was all on the profile.

If these profiles are not going to get added, another way to implement such a thing is using workspaces. Workspaces are absolutely wonderful, it’s as if you had 2 windows without the hassle of opening a second one. Perhaps a new form of workspace, could allow each one to have a different account?

U can actually change that option in your settings. Just go to settings and click 'advanced'. Scroll down and you should be able to see an 'on startup' list. choose 'begin with a fresh start page' -- so now whenever u open up opera, you'll get a fresh start page instead of the site u were previously on.

A pdf viewer and editor built into Opera that utilizes your local downloaded documents; such as the one that Google uses when you click on a document file.

Google has one similar; though it is proven quite ineffective and useless as I would have to open adobe acrobat, which takes a pretty hefty amount of time to open, especially for older devices, when you have 25 different files open at once in adobe acrobat. I mainly make this suggestion to show that It's nearly impossible to have separately: a gaming life aswell as a student life. This is really just a modern convenience I'd say but I believe this idea would be brought to good use and will continue to have a significant use over competitors.

I'd suggest to add an option to remove the closing crosses on the tabs and allow them to be closed only by pressing the mousewheel. This will significantly reduce the chance to accidentally close a tab. I know, that it is currently possible to pin a tab to avoid closing it but if you do want to close it afterwards you have to manually unpin them, and if you have many of them this process can get somewhat cumbersome.

Hello, is someone experiencing lags in fullscreen mode while watching streams (Twitch mostly)? Whenever I play the stream in fullscreen mode on my secondary monitor, it runs smoothly, until I make an action on my primary browser. I was looking at the updates earlier and noticed that GX had its own messenger icons. I was wondering if there would eventually be an option for user-controlled/customised icons, instead. Likewise, the GX background music is currently limited to only 5 pieces of music. It would be interesting if a user could have his or her own music playing, instead. There is a built-in music player connected to the user's YT account, but that does increase the resource usage for GX.

I am on macOS and GX has a bug about startup.
It starts up really slow and generally(90%) stucks. I can't quit it so I generally have to open Activity Monitor and force it to quit.
I love Opera features, especially side bar WhatsApp and Flow, but I generally don't want to use it because of these bugs and speed problems.
So I generally use Firefox, but if these speed and start up issues have been fixed, I'd love to use GX daily and set it my default browser.
Note: I still use GX but only when a memory-eater app(Premiere, Photoshop etc.) is running.

For example, profiles on chrome allow you to have bookmarks, passwords and different amount of information for each profile. In chrome there is the option to have different "people" and this allowed you to have separate profiles with different bookmarks, settings, and browsing history for different email accounts. My suggestion is that you should make it where you can switch between Opera accounts so you do this, make it so you can assign a email account to each workspace so that there are different bookmarks or use the different people tab like Chrome does. This would help for people using the same computer so that they had separate profiles and I would like this to be added because I have a separate school/YouTube channel email, and I like to keep everything separate. This is one of the things that I noticed when switching to opera that I think would be helpful.

Well I have a complaint about gx and I am literally on the edge right now. Whenever a new update shows up, even the updates that don't even have a log, application makes that earraping sound on fresh start. It resets the windows sound mixer's setting and makes me throw my headset off. It is surely one of the worst things that a user could ask. There's an error in the WhatsApp extension, in a group, the last letter of all members that are in odd positions dissapear. For example, I have it in spanish, so it says "T" instead of "Tú", and also with other names like "Mate" instead of "Mateo". Well now I think it was a coincidence, it was just with the names that had an accent (in spanish named "tllde" (') on a vowel like á, é, í, ó, and ú) had that letter dissapeared.

I've suggested this before and I feel like is a small, easy to make change but also helpful.
Please when I press Ctrl+N for a new window, or just drag a tab to a new window for itself, make that new window not having anything I have open in the sidebar open as well at that new window. I want my new window clean, because if I have WhatsApp active in my first window when creating a new one WhatsApp will automatically log me out of both, also I often want that second window to have the Player active on that one or something different.

Also, while we're at new windows, when dragging a tab for a window on it's own, can we not change it's size? it gets like shrinked to a default or something.

Being able to enable forced dark mode but just for specific websites because some sites are okay but the forced dark mode turns the dark background into a pale background. So as I understand, the forced dark mode reverses colors and does not really detect pale from dark.
