Touring Car C -

Previously known as Gen1, the early 1980s touring car scene has been renamed and slightly restructured, but it keeps the same spirit of lightly modified production cars. Featuring no more than racing suspension in the way of racing parts, these cars were the best way for manufacturers to show off what they were made of in the performance department. Looked back on fondly for its close, low-power racing and street car origins, the TCC class of 1983 is what started the boom of tin top racing for the decade.

Touring Car B -

Previously known as Gen2, these cars see no P/W change from their previous mod iteration but have been overhauled in terms of tuning and builds. Arguably the most competitive class of the 80s with a perfect mix of vehicle variety and handling difficulty whilst keeping the cars grounded to vehicles the every man could actually buy; something that could not be said about the TCA cars later in the decade.
(The TCB class has had the most tuning work put into it; I recommend these for any online racing)

Touring Car A -

Previously Gen3, this class has had its boost turned up even further than before with the limits on acceleration rate now falling square onto the grip of the tires not the power of the engine. With full homologation specials running rampant, 400+hp engines and costs spiraling out of control; the end of the 80s was a good time for touring car racing but it was always going to meet its end sooner rather than later.
